Oh Jack...where is he now?

Clyde had chosen to follow the fading fog that had started retreating. However, what he didn't expect was the notion of waking up when he haven't really been asleep or unconscious in the first place. The sensation was strange and it bothered him...a lot. However, the fact he was still in the fog house of terror kept him from wondering about his own predicament too long. Instead, Clyde had decided to look around. Having other people around is good...even if it means having a yelling match with a hunter, and better someone than no one at all.

The varcolac released an angry sigh when all he could see was fog...S**t.

Seriously, this was getting ridiculous. His current situation has not improved from the last eventful moment in his life, and it seems like the situation was getting worse and worse as time went by. Dear Jack, maybe he should have just left with his tail between his legs…back to Amity, back where it was safe! But nope, he had to let his curiosity get the best of him and here we bloody are. Ugh, can’t say he regret his choice, but can’t say he likes it either. At least he came out unscathed from the battle.

Continuing to look around Clyde could have sworn he saw something in the distance. A faint glowing orb, and as he drew closer, he could clearly tell it was a glowing sphere of some sort. What in the world was it? He can’t tell, but it felt warm. The varcolac had wanted to reach out, but he drew back, cautious of the light and its promising warmth.

Okay, maybe he should check further ahead.

Clyde continued on only to be greeted by another light, but this time cold. Maybe it was best to keep walking and search for a different light.

Well, at least his current predicament is a little better.

Clyde has found the Halloween Base!

He gave the place a once over, made a mental note of it and left to continue his way in this foggy mess. Why he didn’t just go and rest at the base was beyond his own comprehension, but the only reason that came to mind was that he was looking for the others lost in the fog. Suddenly, Clyde heard the faint sound of laughter. Where was it from? He followed the sound towards familiar shapes, tents and booths from Fright Night were popping up left and right, but Clyde couldn’t help but notice how disturbing it was in its monochrome state. The entire area was empty, yet music was playing and laughter could be heard.

No one was there…Not any he could see.

And then, he fell. The hell was that fog that just knocked into him? The varcolac looked on, towards the strange shapes that started forming, questioning him. What the hell was it talking about? Stole what? Clyde has no idea what the shadow was saying, however he couldn’t help but notice it holding a weapon…Where did that come from? Wait, where did all those other figures come from? None of them look very happy, and oh god…he can’t move. What is this?

This whole thing is going down hell again.

“What’d I steal from you?”
"You know very well what was taken. I would like it back."

Oh s**t he thought, before slamming his eye lids shut.

This is nothing more than the fog at work, it will go away soon, it will go the away.

All Clyde was met with was silence with his eyes squeezed tight, blocking his vision from his surroundings. He didn’t dare peak until he was certain the fog had stopped speaking, and upon opening his eyes, Clyde was only greeted by the white fog once more. However, the varcolac did notice one thing: He wasn’t falling anymore. He was kneeling. His hands felt sticky and warm and…oh Jack, what the hell is he doing? The prone form before him made no move nor did it attempt to answer his questions. All it did was lay there like a log as the varcolac’s hands attempt to stop the wounded from bleeding out. Oh Jack, was this thing alive?

A pulse, a shudder of breath. s**t, it doesn’t look it but it certainly feels alive.

Oh balls! He wanted to let go and run, Clyde really did, but if he did…what would happen to it? Why did he even bother with the prone form anyways? Not like it was someone he knows…was this just simply his moral talking?

“s**t, just hang on…” he murmured, looking frantically across the white haze. Is no one there? Ugh, life can’t get much worse. Clyde held onto the wound and attempts to heal whoever (and whatever) it is.

You work frantically, your mind scrambling for the information you learned so long ago. You never expected you needed it to save a life -- or maybe you did, and the situation is making it too difficult to think straight. The figure's life slips slowly between your hands. You can see their mouth move: "Thank you." They lie still, and are no more.

The fog lifts a bit. With a jolt, you realize that it was an enemy. Or perhaps you already knew, and made the choice to try and save them anyway. Regardless of your moral compass, you realize that you feel a bit... burdened. Guilt for helping an enemy? Guilt for being unable to save them?

Or perhaps it is the Insanity getting to you.

s**t. s**t. s**t.

Clyde could feel his hands shaking as an overwhelming emotion filled him, was it dread or was it terror? He wasn’t sure, but his mind is a mess and oh god those last words…where they meaningful or was its existence no more than the fog occupying whe— Ugh. Clyde suddenly stood up, his hands still shaking but his mind cleared a little…just a little. He had helped the fog, what is up with that? Panicking over his choice, he attempted to shove whatever feelings he had before to the back of his mind. Oh man, why is this happening?

This place is hor—

There was barely a second before he was thrown into another scenario, one with the faint smell of baking and the feeling of being in a working kitchen. It was strange, but much more pleasant then the last scene…though Clyde winced as the strange figure greeted him with her luminescent smile.

"Oh, here again? Oh, well, I would love the help!" The figure swoops in, there is a light, muffled clatter as she places a rectangular inky-black form onto the pitch-black counter. It smiles. "I prepared some fresh ingredients already, so feel free to pick out a few. I'm not picky, really! I'll take anything you want to use."

Pause. Silence.

It laughs. From the ebony mass of the counter space it merges one gloved hand into it and pulls out a writhing mass. It stares at you with white eyes. "Well if you insist. Leftovers work as well, let's make something that will surprise everyone!"

The hell are those things on the counter. Clyde wasn’t sure, but dear go their eyes…their tiny little glowing eyes are starting to freak him out. Looking back and forth between the things on the counter and the creepy lady and her smile, the varcolac felt the need to run. However, running is useless since there is no bloody exit. Uggghhhhhhh.

This is BS.

Clyde picked up the beaker of odd grey liquid, the least of all three evils. Hey, it was the only thing not moving.

Prompt 4 Action Result:
You feel oddly happier

Sipping the questionable liquid without much of a choice, Clyde could feel the effects seconds after it had went past his throat. It didn’t seem to be poisonous or deadly, but it did affect him: It made him feel…Happy.

s**t son, this feels like drugs in effect…is this what drugs feel like? Or maybe the effects of a dozen or more pixie sticks.

Well, whatever it was, the feeling went away as the scenario changed to those of a massive door.

What. The. Hell.

Billy opened his eyes. He could swear he had only blinked, but he had the nagging feeling he'd just woken up. He had been following the retreating fog, because he could swear there were still people in it. It seemed clearer to him now as he looked around, not literally, but like he was seeing better, or thinking clearer? The nagging little whispers were gone.

But all about was just more bleating fog. Or was that something there? Someone? "Hey!" He called out, taking a step towards it. he didn't notice something crunch under his hoof. The thing resolved itself into a light.
Oho! Lights in the fog. He knew this trick, to get him off whatever actual path was here, if there was one. He turned and headed in a different direction, before another light confronted him. No, he wasn't going to fall for it, and he didn't like this one. He turned again, and kept walking, wishing for a friendlier light that might actually lead him somewhere.

Well, it wasn't another phantom-light, but knowing where the base for Amityville was wasn't bad. Billy grinned to himself and took a moment to look around, noting what supplies were here before turning back towards the fog. It wasn't his most prudent decision, but he was curious about what was out there. As he walked, he starting to hear things again. He shook his head sure he was imagining, until what looked like fright night formed around him. Maybe not, it was off. Clever fog, he thought, as he explored cautiously. Not cautiously enough, since the fog managed to rush up and blindside him, knocking him over. He studied the being that formed from the fog, watching it's weapon cautiously as that weird song played from... somewhere.
He couldn't move... Wait what was it asking?
"I'm not fighting for anything, I'm just having a look about, that a crime?" Apparently it was, or the figure had him mixed up with someone else. He had thought the thing seemed like it knew what it was talking about. Wait, why was he talking to fog?
"I, me, I stole something from fog? Not possible." Billy closed his eyes with a chuckle employing the trick of all cocky children everywhere. "I can't hear youuuu."

He cracked his eyes back open, enough to register the fog's normality before he realized he was kneeling. yes, it had been messing with him, this fog, that was a mite troubling. It was not playing nicely, by the rules. His face grimaced into a frown as he realized what exactly he was doing. Why was he trying to hold in the guts of this.... whatever this was? That wound didn't look pretty, fatal in fact.... but also something like a wound he might inflict. A rather lot like something he would inflict. Now why would he leave a job half done like this? The figure was going to die anyways, he had no healing items. And if he'd attacked it, it had attacked him first. He reached out to finish it. There was nothing else he could do anyways.

His hand paused as he went to give the finishing blow, and the figure winced. He could have been going to do something no threatening. The thing winced. It was an enemy. For some reason Billy found himself gleefully drawing out the being's last moments. It was cruel but he didn't care. This thing had attacked him first, he was certain. He almost sighed when it breathed it's last.

That was odd, he felt so much better now.

Then things shifted as they had been annoyingly doing. He frowned again unhappily until a scent hit his nose. Now he was confused, baking? Why was he baking now? Who was this overly familiar figure? He had no friends here yet. This was completely confusing, he stared at the things on the counter a bit. The creature, lady, thing posing as his friend clattered about the kitchen. He tilted his head tot he side and quirked an eyebrow as one of her 'ingredients' looked like it was beseeching him. Her voice drew him back.
We need to get this done before? He thought. Before what? His frown deepened as she seemed to insist they knew each other, and that he help. It didn't look like there was an exit about either. Unhappily he snatched something off the counter, a beaker of weird liquid, the only non-living thing that could 100% not bite him, and dumped it into her batter. Hopefully that would make her happy, he wouldn't eat any of it.
Not that he had a choice when she forced it on him. He stepped back from the offering, but the fumes from the concoction reached him. He froze, it felt like a weight lifted from his shoulders. Why was he happy?
He looked at her suspiciously. No, definitely no way he was going to actually let any of that get in his stomach.

Summary:
Prompt 1: Kept walking in search of another light - Found Halloween base
Prompt 2: Close your eyes and wait for the shapes to go away. (Do nothing) - No change, fog returns to normal
Prompt 3: Finish the job. You were the one who put them in that condition, after all. - Gain 40% Fear
Prompt 4: Pick up the beaker of odd grey liquid, the least of all three evils. - You Feel Happier

And then suddenly that annoying shift again. At least creepy feed-me-strange-things lady was gone. Billy started to walk forward, but stopped hurriedly sensing the door looming over him before seeing it.

What now? His eyes narrowed as he was becoming decidedly irritated at this fog and it's tricks. He liked fog and tricks, but this stuff wasn't doing it right.

The door was a solid existence in this foggy masquerade of illusions. It is annoying, horrifying, painful and relatively difficult just trying to survive in this horrible mimicry of a fun[?] house. Clyde knocked on the door a couple of times, just to double check the door’s existence (again), but was greeted with nothing more than loud resonances created by his hands pounding on the dark surface.

What’s this supposed to be for?

He snarled, attempting to walk around the door, hoping for a different path to appear but the door slide before him, blocking his way instead. Clyde sighed in response.

He stared at the door for a minute, examining it. It looked solid. It was probably a toss up to weather it felt solid or not. He wasn't sure he wanted to try. If he hit it he could hit something solid, that would hurt, or he could be hitting at fog, which could have anything hidden in it to attack him.
His musing stopped as he heard a noise. His ears twitched and he turned his head to his left. Was someone over there?

But he didn't trust this door in the fog that pulled such tricks. He kept one eye on it and sidestepped towards the noise. The door followed him, and slid in front if him if he turned head on. He sighed in exasperation and went back to side stepping.

"Hey, anyone over there?" He called once he was somewhat closer. Silly question though, he could see someone over there.

A voice.

Who was it? Clyde looked towards the direction of the voice only to meet the goat kid from before. Oh Jack! THERE WAS SOMEONE ELSE ASIDE FROM HIM IN THIS SHITTY FOG! If Clyde was one for exaggerating his feelings, he would have ran up to Billy with the full on intent of hugging the living daylights out of him. However, Clyde doesn’t like exaggerating his feelings nor is the current scenario a good time to do such a thing. Though…wait, was this the fog playing a trick on him? Maybe the guy over there isn’t real…but he doesn’t look anything like the foggy figures that were created before. Hell, this is painful.

“ARE YOU REAL?”

Yes Clyde, that’s a good way of making sure.

Oh yeah, this guy did look familiar. Billy glanced around wondering if any of the others from their group before were about. He guessed not when the varcolac actually asked him if he was real. He would have been offended if it wasn't a reasonable question for the situation, as it was he more winced at the shouting.

"Of course I'm real, do I look like one of those wispy fog wraiths to you?" He stomped his hoof on the ground to prove he was solid enough to make noise.
"Are you real?" He asked in return. "And no need to shout.... you might attract something not so nice." Billy did not want another crazy fog-dog to deal with.

Clyde is a mature individual…really he is.

Poke.

Just to make sure, the boil decided it was a good idea to double check by walking over towards his peer and poking him in the shoulder. Really it was just a precaution. Confirming Billy’s solid existence, Clyde gave the other a weak smile of apology.

“Sorry, I’m…not exactly in the right set of mind.” He replied, his smile shifting from apologetic to nervous. “So…I’m Clyde. Who are you?”

Billy wasn't sure how to react to being poked. Maybe it was this guy's form of greeting? Billy quirked an eyebrow at the smile, and smiled slightly in response, trying to put the other at ease.
"Ah, fog's gotten to you has it?" Billy nodded. "Odd things in this fog." He noted. "I'm Billy."

He looked the guy over. He really was looking nervous. Billy guessed the fog had been worse on Clyde than him. Maybe being with another student would help him.

Keep calm, and breath. He followed his own set of advance as he tried to get comfortable with the current situation. Billy being there did help, but the fog still unnerves him oh so very much. Hopefully nothing unwelcoming will pop up to make the situation worse.
