We're making a casino thread to raise a lot of money for the ball and with the planning that has gone into it so far it may be the largest fundraising thread that we have this year!! We need THREE people to apply to be dealers in the thread. This will be much like RPing in the Hangout thread, so if you are already in the hangout thread I would ask you to wait and see who applies in here. If you can handle both, or you see that it needs more attention, then apply!
What a dealer will be expected to do is very, very simple:
RP in the thread as a dealer of a casino. It doesn't matter if you've never been to a casino - go play slots in the gaia games and talk to the NPC's for an example of how to talk to guests. If you need more than that then watch Ocean's Eleven; it's a GREAT movie!
Explain the rules to people when they ask. Even with the most simple of instructions there will be people not knowing what to do.
Keep the thread on the front page whenever you are online (you don't need to log in special just for this) either with a bump or a little role-playing.
Be aware that the majority of your role playing will be with each other, so don't post once in the thread and then wait for a guest to arrive. This isn't the ball -- the more you post the more likely someone will pop in!
Also be aware that though you are role playing the guests may not. This won't be in Barton, so don't enforce role playing on anyone.
Consequently, you are not required to be IC all the time, either.
You will NOT have to keep track of trades, but you will be asked to try to monitor activity in the thread for cheating or for anyone not following rules and guidelines. You will be MODERATORS of this thread, so you have the power to give people warnings and black list them if they continue to try to cheat or play fowl. Contact Jessie or I before warning officially, though.

Personality: She's an agent for a corporation you've never heard of and never will. They cater to some of the more, say, monetarily endowed, and their services vary- if you have the money to hire them, it will get you nearly anything you want. Currently Cora 'Livingstone', she no longer has a real last name, and if you somehow found it out and searched it all you'd find is someone who died in 1936 and had a library named after her. Her job at the moment is to keep an eye on the customers coming through as she works a job as a dealer, looking for not a person but an item which is best described as 'nondescript'. She does not expect to be off this assignment for at least five more years, but may be taking assignments while still on this one. She's generally quiet, and for someone who supposedly is new to being a dealer, knows a number of fancy card things thanks to an unhealthy obsession with magic when she was younger. If you ever win at her table, it's because she was distracted by something or simply feeling rather forgiving that day. Well, that or she just got lazy. Playing game after game of poker, blackack, what have you, well- it gets old after the first couple of weeks. She only talks to customers if they start a conversation with her, but other employees who try are more likely to get a nod, a smile, or a comment that she needs to be somewhere.
