Welcome! This is the place where you sign up (or more, apply) to become a main or secondary host for one of our events!
To be main or secondary host, I'd recommend having at least on ball you participated in and two host clubs you helped plan. It's not mandatory, but it does help when you're actually facing the event you're hosting, not knowing what to do at all.
So for now, feel free to look through the available positions and the form, maybe decide if you want to apply.
*** The hosts will be decided by eran no shi, Epcot Illuminations and I. The secondary may be picked by the main host, depending on situations. Sometimes, Eran, Epcot and I will pick both. Hosts typically will be picked two months prior to the event, almost right after the previous event ends. If there are any more questions to be asked, do not hesitate to ask either me, Eran or Epcot! a summer barbecue in a park. Time for everyone to cool down, chill out and get pumped for the ball! Families are all here together for a celebration, along with guests. Loud, embarrassing and hilarious moments are sure to come! (Be a little more detailed than mine here. It's really only a sample.)

I'm Scarlett Johansson and I can do what I want. (Don't say that. Actually try to convince me! XDD You know. With words.)

For this month, my idea is...
Halloween: An alchemy experiment gone wrong has caused inanimate objects (everything from Halloween decorations to cakes to pumpkins) to become animated. The objects are terrorizing a town and the town needs rescuing by having the items captured and disposed of.
Valentine: Cupid has given up his job and left due to him believing that the power of love has been wasted and lost on the world of humans (Gaians). It is now the Gaians' job to prove that love still exists as strong and true as ever (can be any kind of love- brother/sister, best friends, a couple) and bring Cupid back.
I think I deserve to host this month's event because...
I enjoyed this past eyar's ball, as it was my first ball ever attened, and I would love to help create more amazing events by being a secondary host. Hopefully I can gain more experience to eventually host an event and make it one of the best events ever! ♥

I definitely liked the host club type theme we did last year! Maybe we could make it a contest between the hosts of who gets the most anon messages. (done through a mule who keeps tabs?) That would also let us know if they like the characters too^.^
I think I deserve to host this month's event because...
I've been pretty committed and have quite a bit of experience under my belt now. Anony and I kinda took over the nightmare room when Hikari had to leave so I know I can deal with the responsibilities. I also know that Halloween will be busy for me because of my job so i didnt go for that one. I've roleplayed for years and like to make my posts unique and come up with characters... though I obviously have favorites^.^

Month Applying For: December/Februrary. I can't garuntee much attendance in October due to the Halloween Event which may be really awsome. wink

However I prefer Second-In-Command Because: Then I know I'm doing a good job.
For This Month, My Idea Is...
Well for December, I'm thinking a Christmas Carol theme. The Ghosts of Christmas, Past, Present, and, Future have worked to take away the wonde of Christmas, thinking no one truely understands what this Holiday is really about.
As for Valentine's Day, it should be Sweethearts vs Heartbreakers. The two sides a pitted against each other in a war for the Lovers of Gaia.
I think I deserve to be this month's main host because: I really don't have enough experience to be the Main-Host right now.

The first one, Halloween, is (obviously) a costume party! On a different forum site that I frequent, they have something called a 'trick or treat' tradition - people have their lights 'on' if they are participating, and lights 'off' if they are not! Basically, someone messages the person with their lights on; 'Trick or Treat!'. The user with lights on can give them a treat or a trick; whatever they think would fit the parameters of either! :3c
It works really well on the other site I visit but idk how well that would work on gaia - I'm well aware that begging is frowned upon, and I know the shops do their own version of t&t'ing... But why not have a semblance of trick or treating? Or maybe instead of that, how about a costume contest?
Halloween is my favorite holiday to celebrate - so I think I would be happy with pretty much anything that wasn't based around fighting zombies or the undead.
Now, I don't really know what all goes into Winter Solstice - so I have zero idea about that theme and I am far too lazy to determine. Maybe a Holiday Faire would be a more appropriate term - we could celebrate all of the December holidays in a sort of colossal festive thing party! It could be an Ugly Sweater party, or maybe just a sweater party? We could try caroling as a group in the towns even... :0
Maybe a cool thing to do for that would be a tree decorating contest - where there is a picture of a naked tree base and people can decorate it with whatever they want and send it in to be judged by everyone?
oh no... I'm... really bad at bragging... cat_gonk Well, for Halloween I really do love the holiday. It's rare that I get to celebrate it so on gaia I typically go all-out! I'm fairly certain that I will be spending this year's event indoors so I can certainly bring something wonderful to the month!

Every year on Halloween, a bunch of real monsters come together and have a party. Guests could be an invited monster guest or a human gatecrasher who thought it was just a costume party.

Summer: A weekend by the lake: water skiing, swimming, boating, fishing, etc. with a barbeque and campfires, etc. Summer camp?
Valentines: . . . This might be too related to the Ball, but Romeo and Juliet. We could have one side trying to make the story stay true to its ending, and another trying to change the ending to where they actually live.

I love summer and might actually be online when the event is going on. (However my parents might plan a “super awesome” vacation when it’s going on, so I’d have to do Valentines instead. (Yes, my family plans that far ahead.)) But besides that, I am very dependable and like doing things hands-on. I believe that going ahead and learning what it’s like to be a co-host would be a nice experience.

Well as the idea for the Halloween event was already chosen as Dark Carnival...Here are some others:
Christmas Event: Basically based off of a Christmas Carol and mashed in with other Holiday aspects. The main villian could be Scrooge and a jealous reindeer...Or something. I don't know! All in all it'd be Christmas hi-jinks all around. Elves, reindeer, Christmas Spirits, snowmen, yetis...One big Holiday Blender.
Valentines: I think we should do what we did this year. A Valentines Day Host Club, varied characters and personalities hitting on the guests. I think it went over really well and why mess with somethign that works?
I think I deserve to host this month's event because...
I think I have a lot to offer for role-play experience, plus it'd be a great way to dip my hands into managing an event so one day I might be able to have the confidence and know how to Host one of the rooms for the Ball. Or even host the Ball itself...But for now doing monthly events would just be fine! Its a great chance to see if I'm cut out for the big leagues. Plus I had such a blast working on the April Event and I wouldn't mind doing it again...
