The purpose of this thread is in the title. If you lived in a Fire Emblem world, what class would you be/prefer?
To clarify, which class would you think bests fit your style/technique/personality? Or if you have trouble answering that, simply tell which one you would most want to be, and why?
Rules:
1. Lords don't count. 2. Manaketes and Tacticians are okay, but try to give something else too.
Example/My choice:
For me, it's a close call between Mercenaries and Myrmidons. Swords would definitely be my preferred weapon of choice.
I'm a pretty big guy so Mercenaries/Heroes would be more my calling I suppose. And I love giant swords haha. But I'm still gonna go with Myrmidons. Though I don't fit the generic physique of the calm, speedy, precise swordsmen. It's still closest to my preferred style with a sword. And if I were in a Fire Emblem, sporting a katana and no armor is how I'd roll.
Edited: Okay, some people have actually mentioned stats and I think that could be a cool optional add-on question. What would your stats be like?
As for me: I'd be an oddball Myrmidon, maxing out Strength real fast and dishing out the damage. Sorta like the Jaffar of Sword Masters. My Speed growth might be meh compared to other Sword Masters, but I'd have decent HP and Defense and good Skill to make up for it. I'd also have really high Luck. And the reason for that is, I've never sustained a serious injury in my life, despite life providing multiple situations where I very well could have died. And finally, I think my Resistance would be good because I'm pretty aware of the super natural.
Ooo! I'd also have a large Constitution, allowing me to wield heavy weapons without it affecting my speed much, and do heavy rescuing, unlike most Myrmidons.

Thinking about it, for certain I'd be some sort of magic user. Not one for tremendous physicality; I'm quite frail, don't want to be overly muscular, work very hard to be quite skinny (most of which has to do with my position in the gay community, but it's a point that remains all the same), etc... I would not like physical "training" to stay in awesome shape to swing around some sort of weapon. Besides, I'm a scholar at heart.
I was torn between Mage and Shaman, but I think I'd be a Shaman. Dark magic seems very abstract (and I love the abstract) compared to Anima, and I associate it with fields like metaphysics and philosophy in general, which I love. Anima is more structured, and I'm interested in the unknown and boundaries of what we can know.
Yeah, Shaman it is.

Thief or Archer.
I like archery, for one. I don't like being up close and personal if I can help it. But I'm also stealthy. Fitting into both categories, I'm not beefy or terribly strong. I can only imagine my defenses would be shoddy with only "eh" strength, but with high skill and speed. I used to own horses and rode them, which could lead into being the nomad class, but I don't really think so, that doesn't feel right.
I've thought about this in the past and settled upon Archer, it just feels best.

I'm not much of a physical fighter. I do try to stay fit, but I am not exactly muscular, I'm pretty skinny, and am not the best at extended strenuous activity. I'd probably be a support class. Probably a cleric or a dancer/bard. More leaning towards the latter, because while I would probably make a great healer, being the charitable helper type, I'm not all that religious, though I have my own religious ideas. Though I could be a healer not tied to a church, like Mist or someone. I'd probably make a decent refresher unit too, because I like raising the spirits of others and entertain people in addition to helping out, and I'm very musical and artsy on top of that. Can I be a girl bard? I'm much more fond of singing and/or playing instruments then dancing. Though I could dance too.

Well this is an interesting topic. Assassin hands down. According to my friends, I can be quite quick and stealthy and they wouldn't even know I've moved until I speak up. I'm not physically strong, but I can get by pretty quickly if I tried XP. I don't really like to leave enemies hanging, so I tend to take them down in one fell swoop. I'd probably say my strength would be lacking..just a bit cause I'm not that strong to begin with. But I'd most likely make it up with skill, speed and maybe a little defense.

Ephy, that's because you're Asian and therefore being a ninja is in your blood. I would imagine I'm not really a physical fighter type person and possibly not even a fighter at all. Actually, I think if I were a class I'd actually be either a priest or a bard. My thought process of this actually goes back to a conversation I had with my older brother about what DND character classes we'd be in real life (god we're such nerds to even talk about this). We settled on the fact that I'd probably be some sort of support class because I'm not really the type of person to fight at all unless I really had to at the current situation and with my personality I like helping people and assisting them which is why support classes work for me since they can buff, heal, and do other various things to help their party members. Which is why I think I'd probably be a priest to help through healing, but honestly I'd probably be better as a bard that gets to play a musical instrument to help my friends! (Musical instrument is also a huge bonus for me since I'm a musician)

Of course Miss. I don't see anything wrong with being a female bard. I'm surprised there hasn't been one in Fire Emblem yet... maybe because then they'd have to make the guy a dancer and that might be a little awkward... or maybe it would be sexy hahaha XD And a non religious celric is fine. I mean, Serra becomes a "Bishop" but honestly lol... I don't see her being that serious about the religion part of it. @Everyone: Am I really the only one who wants to be a front line fighter? If we were a group of heroes in a Fire Emblem I'd be taking pretty much all the heat... and I've got no armor!!! XD Though then again with bards and clerics backing me up I could be a pretty scary, bad a** Myrmidon/Sword Master hehe.

I'd want to be a Myrmidon or an archer/sniper. Those are my two favorite classes =D

...I actually have absolutely no idea. |D"
My best guess would be at the moment to go with Mage - I'm very creative and enjoy working with really mystical stuff like that, at least in terms of drawing and writing. I don't think I'd be physically fit enough (for now, at least) to be out on the front lines, and my vision's too poor to be an Archer, though I absolutely adore archery. I'm not even sure why I love the concept so much, but I do!
I guess if anyone has any better suggestions for me, lemme know, but otherwise my best guess for now would be some kind of Mage, probably Wind.

I don't want to judge, but you do seem like a mage type. I'm a practicer of the mystic myself, IRL. However, if we all could pick a class to be, regardless of our abilities IRL or physiques, ect, I'd totally be an archer. I have poor eyesight and crappy balance IRL. xDDD I'd fail epically as an archer for reals, but like, if we were suddenly turned into the game, fff, bet your gold I'd be one. Of course, mages are good, too. I enjoy those classes, but since I do enough magic IRL, I figure being a physical unit would be a good change.

For me i would have to go with a brute force class. Though i don't know to go with high attack or high def. As long as they don't get past me and to the others i don't really care witch. But i will admit i like the class that the girl with blue armor was, she is close friends with Brom on the game cube.

For me I'd be a Soldier, Halberdier, Recruit, or Super Recruit. I always like the Unmounted Spear classes for some reasons.

Been thinking, I also wouldn't mind being a dancer class. I always abused them in my games. xD;;

I'm 75% sure I'd be a cleric. Mostly because I have a lot of patience and compassion. As well as a leeching dependent personality. It probably helps that I have a bit first aid knowledge thanks to my mother who is an emergency room nurse.
Mage is out of the question because I'm not very book smart. I'm about as graceful as a sack of bricks so no dancing. I've done archery before but I ended up putting more arrows in the ground than the target. I'm not crazy about swords, but axes are cool.
Oooo! I could be a battle cleric. That'd be sweet.
