Hey guys, so there was a recent update to the Gaiablog asking for users to submit thangs--and I was thinking we could work together to make a pretty awesome investigation guide. With the recent Faris thang, it seemed GiB was way ahead of the game. So what do you guys think?

Let's talk about our set up.
I basically want the first part to be a silly RP-like over view as to why Investigations are important to Gaia and why GIB matters.
(If we do this right, we may get a lot of people joining out guild, so lets really play up the neurolizer thang XD)
Then, I want a basically step by step guide to how we conduct our investigations.
For the faris thing, for instance. We looked at the person in the esplosion manga, then Ilaf compared him to people from old manga updates and determined his identity was that of Faris.
Then, with the event, we pretty much poured over post histories, simultaneously looking at avatars--and fingered Kale because of his earring and suspicious material.
But we've done many other things in investigations scenarios. We've solved puzzles, codes, etc.
How do we want to set this up?

We should put up how you shouldn't try to connect anon messages during events to the event itself since those are usually trolls...

Occam's Razor. That was the key to the Faris mystery. Always stick to the solution that requires the least explanation. Also, ANYONE can make a cool avatar, so don't be fooled by fancy items.

I am going to start working on the thread with Agent Smith, over in the test forum. If y'all want, you can take a look at it (but don't post). Come back here to discuss possible changes/additions.

Nice new stock images. Very nice. I'll make a few minor suggestions on the layout, since I can't read through everything right now.
List tags to match the width of the stock image. It looks a lot better than having a few words or sentences spill over to the left at the bottom of the post.
Secondly, did you mean for the spacing to be like this? Looks kind of weird. An alternative way to add spacing to the right is to have a white box the width of the tab, then--- You know what, have this.[imgright]BUFFER IMAGE[/imgright] THE REST OF THE POST GOES HERE
The first bit goes right at the top, and the tags go at the very bottom. If you're interested in a different spacing style. It's your project.
I'll read the content later. I'll get back to you on it.

So, we have post histories. We have the idea of checking the equipped list. Do we have the fact that you sometimes have the privilege to follow members that are online and checking the forums? Well, I suppose it depends on the privacy of the user. And if it was a recently made account, unless there is a veteran Gaian who has been on for a while and knows what they're doing is behind it, they may not have completely changed their privacy settings.
I don't really think that helped much...but it was the best information I could think of at the moment...

I am really proud of the new stock images. I half-made those myself!
By adding ties to stock image silhouettes!
Yup.
SOme of them look kinda badish, but I think on a whole they look pretty nice <3
