Krait stared up at the massive gothic spires and stood still, his mouth agape. He didn't even dart his tongue out to taste... He just stood, immobile and terrified... I am so small.... The little sea snake thought to himself. After a long and quiet time of standing and staring at the Library doors, Krait finally pushed himself forward and made to enter the building. He reached the door handle after a few tries, and found he could only get a grip on it if he stood on the very toe-tips of his boots. Up there on the ends on his boot toes, Krait had no strength at all and pulled uselessly at the door. He pouted and frown. What if he couldn't get in? There'd be no new books to read! A sad thought entered Krait's head. What if he wasn't allowed in the library? All he wanted was to read! Wasn't he allowed? Krait's throat made a small whine of sadness. While he pondered and wondered, he forgot to pay attention to his extremities, and his hands were wringing each other, and his toes scuffing the stone of the top step. His tail on the other hand snaked forward and the rudder-blade on the end of it wrapped itself around the handle of the great doors and pulled. With an awesome sound and a click, the great door eased open. Krait peered in, in awe and in wonder.

Krait walked into the massive library, and was thankful his soft-soled booted padded and gave off no loud sounds. Within, there was a massive stone desk with stamps and books stacked neatly atop. A Construct sat at the desk, immobile and watching. Krait nodded his head absently at it and passed into the library proper. Massive and tall bookshelves reached up towards the towering heights of the gothic building, and between the rows and rows of shelving, smaller wooden tables were set up with chairs, where research and reading could be done. A set of floor lamps were arranged aronud each table to allow for bright reading light, and a few rolling ladders wer attached to the bookshleves so that the volumes from the upper shelves could be safely reached. Krait wandered aimlessly aronud the shelves, looking at titles and touching the dustjackets and leather bindings of the many books he saw. He wasn't sure what sort of book he was looking for, he was just waitig for something to catch his eye.

You're lost, just admit it.. Pterois turned the corner of another long, high bookshelf, trying to peer between books as she walked. She remembered there had been like a desk thing at the entrance with a construct behind it but she had left that behind about 1/2 hour ago. Letting out another little sigh she moved faster, becoming a little afraid. And then; she turned another corner and let out a bigger sigh, of relief this time. 'Damn, its like a maze..' she twisted, looking again at the shelves and that was when she noticed the boy. 'Hey!' she called, going over to him.

After the silence and tranquility of the library, Krait jumped nearly out of his skin at a voice calling "Hey!" out to him. Krait froze next to the bookshelf where he had been reading the titles slowly and deliberately. With his jet and blue eyes stretched wide and his little tongue out tasting for danger, Krait turned to find the source of the voice. Upon seeing Pterois he calmed somewhat. Krait had seen her down at the lake, and though he'd never spoken to her, any creature who loved the water as much as he did couldn't be all bad. Krait didn't move from his spot, his tail still clinging to the side of the bookshelf, but he did offer a small smile and fidgeting with both hands he replied softly. "Hello to you..."

Pterois tilted her head, watching the way the boy was clung to the bookshelf. 'If you let go, I don't believe that the shelf will go anywhere,' she teased a little, grinning at Krait. 'I'm Pterois. It's nice to meet you...?'

Krait forcably pried his tail from the bookshelf and held it up to his chest with both hands, his face flushing in embarrassment. In quiet and shy tones he replied, "Hello Pteroisth. I'm Krait..." He glanced awkwardly from her face to her webbed hands to the floor, to his own boots, to her face. And as his eyes darted about, unsure of where to settle, his tongue stuck out a little, tasting the air.

Pterois blinked, tilting her head a little as the end of her name gained a few letters. He seemed shy enough, and he certainly was blushing well, so she thought she wouldnt mention it and embarrass him further. 'Hello Krait. I am glad I've run into you! I've only been lucky enough to meet one other of our kind, and I was worried I wouldnt see anyone else.' she smiled encouragingly at the boy. 'You been here before then, like the books? I got lost in here before I saw you, all these shelves! Like a maze.' she fell quiet, wondering if Krait would speak again.

Krait nodded dumbly as the tyrade of words tumbled lightly from the girl's mouth. at the mention of books, Krait's rosy complexion returned nearly completely to the pale pallor he normally showed. He nodded and touched the nearest book lovingly. "I really love booksth. I have one of my own. But I wanted to try to read sthomething new. I don't know where to sthtart though..." He glanced sheepishly from the bookshelf to Pterois. He added softly with a little upturned smile, "It really isth like a maze in here...I feel stho sthmall..."

It was really difficult not to comment on the boys lisp. She wouldnt do it because it was mean, but because it sounded funny. 'I don't have any books. Well that's not completely true, I have the book that my diary is in, but well that's not so much a story type book.' she grinned. 'Well I think we all feel small aroud this place.' Pterois commented. 'It's almost like. Like it was built for much larger people. Have you met any one else besides me then?' she suddenly asked.

Keshi walks up to the bottom of the steps of the libary. She can see the sun the the spires if the building and wonders just how high up it is. " Hmm I wonder if I can get up there. Giggle" She carefully walks up the large stone stairs to the front doors of the building. The door handle was very high up and large also. Keshi was thankfull she had her sandles on so she could just reach it. She quietly opens the door peaks in and all she can see is books on books. "gasp" "What could be in all these books?" She says to herself. Just then she sees the Library construct. She trys to be quite as the sign on the wall says.....But her shoes are wooden and make quite a racket.

Keshi meets up with the Library Construct and asks" May I look at the books?" The construct looks down on her and nods it's head and points to Keshi's shoes.
Keshi blushes and steps out of her shoes. "So sorry..I'm so very sorry." Keshi says as she turns a bright shade of pink.
The construct again nods it head and then turns to it's work in the library.
Still bright pink in the cheeks Keshi picks up her shoes and decides to look around. "Hmmm I wonder how long it will take to look at all these books giggle." she says to herself as she tiptoes on the cold stone floor.

Krait thought of Olivia and of hte spidery boy on the shore that he had observed, as well as the snake-like girl in the fancy dress he'd seen. He nodded to Pterois shyly. "I sthpent a little time with a girl named Olivia at the Mall a few days ago. But I haven't really talked to anyone sthincthe then." Krait verbally stumbled over the word 'since' and spent a moment flicking his little blue tongue about as if to stretch it into better shape. Krait pulled the tome his hands had landed on out of the wall and looked down at his hands. The Tale of Peter Rabbit, by Beatrix Potter Krait looked at the smooth cover and the cute rabbit in a blue coat emblazoned on the white background. He glanced up at Pterois. "Do you like to read?" He asked softly, not sure what else to say in the awkward silence.

'I met a spider boy called Kyle,' Pterois said. 'Olivia huh? At least now I know there are other girls here.' she chuckled. 'I havent really thought about it, I guess I only came here because I was bored back in my room, and I've already been swimming this morning so I thought I'd go exploring some more.' She smiled at Krait. 'But, I mean if you wanna show me some good books maybe I'll like them as much as you,' and she turned another winning smile on the boy.

Voices... There were voices somewhere in this room. This was a good discovery as, so far, the dragon had not managed to find any other soul, with exception to the constructs but he wasn't quite sure if they counted. Ora made his way carefully throught the partially open door to find himself surrounded by books. They didn't strike his interest too much, not very good to eat and he didn't have enough attention to sit and read for long periods, prefering to just sleep. He made his way around the book shelves looking for the origen of the voices, managing to get lost in the process. Sticking out his tounge he caught a whif of others which he oriented on and slowly wandered towards the chatting pair.
