As soon as the last class of the day was over, Eleanor immediately packed up her things and sped-walk with her head down. She avoided crowds and people obstacles, intent on getting to one place: her house common room. After fumbling for the password and entering, she immediately sat down at a table and got out her homework for the night. Most of it was writing, but for now she needed to get through the Defense Against the Dark Arts reading assignment. Not a fun class, and certainly not a fun topic to read about. At least at the end of it all there might be some spare paper to play with.
In the meantime, her owl Miller decided that it was the perfect time to roost on her shoulder and n** at her hair to let Ellie know he needed some treats.
Ellie sighed at this and patted him while she tried to concentrate.

Destiny jumped to her feet once the last class was done, she gathered up her things and skipped down the hallway towards her house's common room. The common room always was a good place for her to study, do homework and probably make some new friends, since as of recent she had not friends to hang out with and no one she liked. She sighed a bit and pushed open the door to the common room and glanced around for a place to claim and sit down to study. She brushed a stray strand of her white hair from her face.
After a but if looking, she found the perfect empty place, a seat that was near the window, she loved staring out the window and pondering over her life and over other things that bothered her. She shifted around to get comfortable before pulling out a book and starting to read it. She wondered who she would meet today.

Liam struggled to keep his attention on the Professor and took notes as diligently as he could. Why did this professor have to speak in monotone? It was starting to grate on his nerves. Surely someone could fix such a speech impediment with a spell or something. Seriously..how did they think kids would be able to sit through such a mundane and dispirited class?
Finally..the professor began to wrap up the lecture, and Liam eagerly began to put his book, and writing supplies away. When the professor concluded the lecture and gave them all the go ahead to leave, Liam was already headed for the door. He hurried down the hall and made his way to the Hufflepuff common room. He really didn't understand why their room was in the basement. It just seemed wrong to him, not to mention not fair in the slightest. He normally needed light to wake up in the morning and he had been having a hard time waking up in time for classes.
He came to a stop at the hufflepuff door and gave the password, which was rather easy since it was "friendship". He smiled as he walked in and went to dump off his book bag in his room. Then he came out to see who else was in the common room before heading out to the outdoors for a walk.
He was a bit surprised to see a girl sitting with her owl sitting on her shoulder. It was the funny one with the duo colored eyes and the striking contrasting dark colored wings and the light colored body and head. He had seen it around before, climbing in it's owner's hair and pestering her at the Hufflepuff table in the Great Hall.
Liam approached the girl to see what she was working on. It looked as though she had the DADA book open and was working on a paper. Liam wondered why she wanted to get it done so soon. They had two days to get it done. Then again..there were those people who always strove to get assignments done and out of the way.
"Hello," Liam said taking a seat across the table from her, still eyeing the gorgeous bird. "Would you like me to get a treat for your owl so he'll stop bugging you?"

Anti-death magic was the worst. This thing could try to kill you? When would she ever even deal with something like it? She lived in Somerset, of all places! Monsters don't walk among muggles...right? In her attempts to get through this chapter, Ellie didn't notice Liam until her pesty owl started squawking at him.
"Shush, Miller, shhhh." Eleanor gave the silly bird a patting-bopping mix to let him know to knock it off. She looked at the blond boy, and tried to understand his words in the midst of her convuluted thoughts. "Treats? Oh, um....yes. Thank you. That...that would be swell," she nodded while avoiding most eye contact.
Looking away, she noticed that another housemate had arrived while she had been studying. Ellie was certainly not very aware of her surroundings, in that case. Who else might have come in while she was off in her own world?
Miller squawked again, pulling Eleanor back to the current situation. She shushed him once more.

Liam could see that she wasn't really concentrating on her surroundings, so she probably didn't even hear him. A smile twitched at the corner of his mouth whens he shushed her owl and half patted, bopped the bird on the head. And then she was actually looking over at him.
He started chewing on his bottom lip wondering just what kind of treats an owl might like. They liked mice he knew that much. And sometimes certain bugs as well. Hmm...well whatever he figured on getting the owl he'd more than likely have to go outside to find it. Unless the girl had some stashed somewhere. Wait! He had noticed an older student hid some treats up on a shelf in the common room the night before.
"Not a problem." Liam replied cheerfully grabbing a chair from the table and pulling it over to the shelf where the treats had been stashed.
He pulled the chair up against the shelf, and climbed up on it. He could just barely touch the edge of the jar with his fingertips. He frowned and tried standing up on his tiptoes. He could grasp it a bit better..but his balance wasn't all that good. Oh right..why hadn't he thought to use his wand?
Liam whipped out his wand, and swished it saying, "Accio jar." The jar slowly slid off the shelf and into his waiting arms. With a big smile, he turned around and got down off the chair. He opened the jar and found some stiff rodents and some bugs inside. "Gross." He said with a slightly fascinated tone as he pulled out a few grasshoppers and then closed the jar. He shoved them into his pocket and then climbed back onto the chair.
Now if only he knew a spell for putting things back on high shelves. He sighed, shook his hair off of his forehead and rose on his top toes again and pushed it back onto the shelf. With a sigh of relief, he wiped his forehead, climbed off the chair and pulled it back to where it needed to go.
"Here you go Miller," He said, pulling out a grasshopper and holding it out on a flat palm.

Destiny glanced up from her book as a boy from her house appeared she tilted her head to the side a bit, she had briefly met him from when Maer almost got hit by his flying frisbee and where she almost got hit with the same flying disc. She shook her head boys and their odd choices of place to play. She hummed to herself as she read through her text, glancing up every once in awhile to stare out the window.
She shifted her position as her current position was starting to get uncomfortable. She shifted through her bag for her other text books before sighing and looking up at the ceiling, she just had no motivation to continue studying, she was more focused on making some new friends, Jeri was a start but she would have preferred more. She was pretty sure there were a lot more housemates then her and the other two...but she wasn't sure where they were or what kept them so busy after class.

<3 <3 <3 Anya Cummings <3 <3 <3
Anya took her time returning to the common room. She really had no reason for rushing and she liked to walk the halls after all students left and she didn't have to fear tripping in front of anyone or being teased.
Entering the common room she was a bit surprised to see others hanging around. Turning red she thought about leaving but was sure they'd seen her enter. Wrapping her arms around her books tightly she stuck to the walls to cross the room.

It was very nice of the boy to do something like that. Eleanor watched Liam look about, then go through trial and tribulation to get a jar. She winced, knowing exactly what would happen. To the inattentive it would have looked like Ellie was grossed out by the insects.
The bird looked at the grasshoppers, the boy, the grasshoppers, then turned around and only graced Liam with his tailfeathers. Miller fluffed a bit and started preening, totally snubbing the Hufflepuff boy.
"H-he's very picky about his treats. Miller only eats brand foods, like Eeylops..." she explained, embarrassed for herself and her owl. She should have said something and not have made Liam go through so much for nothing! "I thought there were some premium treats up there...but m-maybe someone...ate all of the stock."
A new arrival briefly caught Ellie's slightly-more peaked attention. She empathized with Anya's evasion maneuvers, and avoided looking at her after a very brief moment to keep them both from any possible awkwardness or nerves. The other person there, Destiny, was looking at the ceiling. So at least there wouldn't be any awkward eye contact. Ellie once again focused on the table and floor when not giving Miller a good scolding look.

Destiny tapped her chin lightly before stretching out and jumping off her seat to walk around to stretch her muscles from sitting so long. She hummed to herself as she strolled around nodding to each house mate she passed by, but then she caught sight of Liam but he seemed a little busy so she would let him. She strolled over to a vacant couch by the fireplace and sat down, on the comfy couch her hands lightly resting on her lap.

Liam waited patiently with his hand underneath the owl's beak. He laughed lightly when the bird turned its nose up at the grasshoppers. He really didn't blame the owl, they didn't look all that appetizing. "Oh that's understandable. These really don't look all that much appetizing. Too bad there aren't any of those around." He said shrugging his shoulders. "I'll just take these to the owlery later. I'm sure one of those birds will eat them up. "He's just rather refined is all."
"So what's your name?" He asked the girl and glanced around the room to see who else had come in.
He noticed a girl he'd never seen before sneaking across the room and smiled. He usually did that when he didn't want people noticing him. His eyes alighted on Destiny who had taken a seat on the couch. He lifted a hand and waved at her. He'd been meaning to spend some time with her. Maybe she'd want to walk with him up to the owlery later on.

Destiny blinked and glanced at Liam and waves back to him with a smile. She would approach him but he was talking to someone else so she would approach him once he was done. She hummed quietly to herself as she waited for him to free up his time, She was looking forward to spending more time with him.
