possible problems: she doesn't read it(no solution) and disposes of it (make copies) she think's you're being "funny", a brat or just plin bitchy about the topic (the only way out is an intense arguement) she still refuses for a reason not covered(such as she doesn't like [insert Gf name here])(solution is ad-libbing and thinking quickly)/an undisclosed reason(possible solution, can't think of it though)/no reason at all(no solution)/discrimination(quote jesus' acceptance, bible referances that favor you, threaten wildly)/hate (no solution)
just a short list of what has come to me while typing. i'm sure there are more problems but i'm amking you aware to a few of them in an attempt to help.
oh yeah, FOLLOW YOUR HEART! i'm taking the piss mit that point, btw

Wow. That's really well thought out, and unless your mom is trying to be a jerk, it looks promising. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Good news! My mom has one idea as to how to let me take my gf to prom... The bad news! She has to a) clear it with my dad. b) my gf's family would have to vacation in the city... or somewhere.... cause she could not stay here...
my mom says I'm "making a mistake" and she can't stay at my house because "people in a relationship should not sleep in the same room"

Awesome! At least she's compromising a little now! I think that's a big step and Im glad you got to it. 3nodding
Just try not to ask too much.. You know what happens to people who want too much out of something. Know what I mean?
