Please save my first dance!
As you may or may not have noticed... well, there are a select few who might just slightly object the blissful happiness that me and my darling Dovakins have found.
Now, I would never cast blame or point a finger; but the fact remains that someone removed the tongue and vocal chords of the singer of the band we hired for the reception. The poor dear, I've calmed her as much as I can, but I did have a wedding to get to, so I left her in Myst's capable hands. However, I don't think she'll be able to sing for my reception.
I am an amiable, adaptable creature, all I need is my Dovypie <33 ...but I must admit, I'd like words to be sung for our first dance. The rest of the evening can be the band having fun just playing instrumental music, but I am going to hold a quick round of auditions between the ceremony and the reception for a vocalist who can sing for our first dance!
The Game~
Find a song that characterizes the saga between Dova and I, one that defines and affirms our relationship. Then, sing it for me * 3*
The Rules~
1. Please, only make an audio recording. Please. Videos make me nervous and I'm not sure where the ToS stand on them. So make life simpler for all of us and just do an audio recording.
2. Go as fancy or as simple as you want. Find a karaoke track, sing a capella, or even sing along with a full-version of the song you choose. Just make sure I can tell what is YOU singing!
3. It doesn't have to be good. Really. If you want to sing You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' right along with the Righteous Brothers in bad karaoke style, go for it. I'll probably get a good laugh out of it.
4. I will be awarding three prizes; a rare for the best overall performance, a semi-custom normal for the best song choice, and a semi-custom normal for the absolute worst performance.
--- best overall performance doesn't mean best vocalist, it means exactly what it says. But admittedly, it will lean towards the strong vocalists.
--- same deal with worst performance; doesn't mean the worst sound... it will probably lean towards the funniest performance, actually.
--- song choice is very important for a first dance. The prize will be awarded to the one who most successfully finds a song that captures the relationship between me and my bby <3
5. You will have just over 24 hours to enter; I apologize, I was held late at work last night and couldn't post this when I planned to. I have to talk to Dova about how to make team points work since the event is technically closing tonight. I know how I want to award points, but it is different than the rest of the event, so I need to get permission. I'll lock the thread as soon as I get home tomorrow, probably around 5p EST

Those winning semi-custom normals for worst performance are Foxy Anaya and r a i n b o w DUCKEH!
Lovely voices, ladies; am being completely serious <33 ...however applying the lyrics of your songs choices to me and Dova...well, we giggled a lot <3
Best song choice totally goes to Kara Asumie! I think that may become my Vendetta's theme song xD you'll be getting a semi-custom normal as well!
Winning for best performance is Ranger Myst. I love that you couldn't decide which part to sing at the end, too funny~ that rather unfortunate looking panda is yours!
For being kind of the most adorkable thing EVER, Poesy, you get a semi-custom semi-common... whatamouthful! Maybe I can get Dova to help me color it, you made us both go D'AWWWWW pretty much in unison xD
Dova says she has the worst performance, but unfortunately for her, I ACTUALLY liked hers the best. She refuses to take the best performance prize, so I am making her a little surprise...it's a surprise to all of us, no idea what I am doing yet xD
