 Louvenia frowned and hitched her bag up further on her shoulder. The fast moving students in the hallway rather frightened her, it was almost like looking at a herd of cows moving straight for her. Louvenia shuddered slightly and looked for an opening in the crowd. Finally..she spotted one coming up.
Taking a deep breathe of air, she pulled her bag closer to her body and stepped out into the crowd trying to match her pace to the other kids'. Now if she could only get to the library without getting run over or jostled about too much. Thankfully her pace was perfectly matched to the others and she got swept with them down the hallway and then down a long staircase.
Finally she spotted the library's tall double doors coming up on her left. Great..now she was going to have to shove her way through the crowd or she'd get swept past her destination. "Coming through, Make Way!" She cried and began to push through the other kids.
She got a few dirty looks and some annoyed comments, but she managed to get through the crowd of kids without being harmed. She came to a stop in front of the library and sighed with relief. She paused and stretched her shoulders a bit to try and release some of her pent up tension. Then she took the handle of the door and pulled it open and slipped inside.
Louvenia blinked in surprise and frowned in annoyance. Every table in the library was occupied. What the heck was going on? Normally the library was abandoned and no one save her and a few others were there after class. Oh..right there were NEWT exams coming up soon, she remembered seeing that most of the kids were much older then her.
"Well..what should I do now?" She murmured to herself. She glanced around to see if there was a table that wasn't completely full and caught sight of one that had one girl sitting at it. She approached slowly, fingering her bag as she tried to come up with something to say. Why was she always so shy around people? It wasn't as though were going to bite her.
"Might I sit here?" She asked glancing down at the curly pink head that was bent over a book. "All the other tables are filled up."

When Amerilla had first come to the library, it had been about half-full. However, the older students had gradually gathered, and each had brought whispers with them. Frankly, it had pissed her off, though she knew better than to tell older students to be quiet. She was very immersed in her book, or at least she was trying to be. Huffing quietly to herself, Lia hunched over her book, attempting to tune everyone out. The slightly squishy chairs certainly helped her focus on the book.
It worked for a while, Lia sitting in peace and pouring over her book. Nobody had disturbed her for a while, and she was settled into the pages. Then, Louvenia's words came her way. Looking up slowly, she processed the girl's words. Lia tilted her head to the side, looking around to see that the library was, indeed, full. "Well, I don't see any reason you wouldn't be able to," she said, gesturing to the seat next to her and scooting over a bit. "Isn't it curious how many people there are? I'd go talk to someone, but they're a bit scary. Plus, they seem focused. But you're not scary. You look nice, and you haven't been busy yet. Would you like to be my friend?" Lia murmured, trying to lower her volume from normal.

Louvenia shot a grateful smile at the pink haired girl. "Well thanks," She said as she plopped down in the empty chair.
She leaned back in the chair and tried to let her mind wander only to be interrupted by the girl's chatter. She must be lonley, Louvenia thought turning to look at her. "They're getting ready for their NEWTS I do believe. Funny how they all show up here a week before the test but before that they don't even try. They'll probably all do really badly." She said shaking her head.
Louvenia was a bit surprised by how the other girl's mind worked. One moment she was talking about the kids in the room and how scary they were, and then she was asking Louvenia to be her friend. She held back a laugh, knowing that it would probably hurt the other girl's feelings if she laughed in her face.
"First things first; Hello, my name is Louvenia, what's yours." She asked offering her hand to the other girl. "Secondly, I don't see why we couldn't be friends, but to develop a friendship we'll probably have to spend a lot more time together first. I do hope you're okay with that."

Amerilla giggled at the other girl's prediction. It did seem a bit silly to her to start studying so late, not that she wasn't guilty of it on numerous occasions. She inclined her head to the side lightly as a hand was stuck out to her. What am I supposed to do here? Oh, right! she thought to herself quickly.
Grabbing Louvenia's hand, she answered, "I'm Amerilla, but you can call me Lia if you want. It's much shorter." Looking down at their hands, still entwined, Lia remembered you were supposed to let go after you shook someone's hand. Quickly dropping the girl's hand, she responded, "Well that sounds like fun! Getting to know people is nice. I like talking to new people, and you're a new person, so this is great! What'd you come here for? Well, I'm certain something book-related, since this is the library."
((Sorry, it's a bit short. Trying to get back into roleplaying ^^))

Louvenia grinned as the other girl's giggle reached her ears. It was nice to hear someone laugh at something she said. She was surprised with how long the other girl waited until she took the offered hand.
"Okay Lia it is." She replied wondering when she'd get her hand back. She held back a laugh when the other girl finally remembered and dropped her hand.
"Yes it really is." She agreed tossing a braid over her shoulder and then opening her book bag. "Oh I came in to get a head start on the assignments I was given earlier. I don't like to wait until the last minute to get things done. Plus..it gives me more time to get it written out cleanly. What about yourself Lia?"
