The fall seemed to take forever, a strange gravitational force pulling all the turned minipets continuously down, faster than even their eye, their instincts, could comprehend. Everything moved in flashes of colour, the sudden blur of what seemed like a door floating in the middle of nowhere, a clock ticking steadily with a glowing face, several blue flowers sprouting from an indiscernible distance, a cheshire smile of a minipet perhaps -
- And then with a loud thump, rock bottom. The good news about being a minipet seemed to be its durability, though unfortunately not enough to prevent the new onslaught: a wave of dizziness and sheer vertigo. As the turned minipets looked down, all they would see was an infinite chasm and oddly blinking neon lights, as if they were standing simply on nothing.
Around them, the world distorted, simple skeletal frames floating around the black void, bits and pieces of what might have been part of the Scarefari, the Battle Arena, the Altar of Sacrifice, reduced to a strange, sketchy framework, other areas hissing, crackling, bubbling parts of what looked like a small lake, half-formed minipets literally missing entire limbs, eyes, heads, hovering oddly like strange corpses. Skellyvision screens buzzed, coming to life to show strange images, leering faces, before blinking closed again and disappearing entirely. Lights, just unusual blinking lights, flashed at random intervals.

The noise came from above: instead of the floating isles, instead of what might have been ocean, the tips of massive ivory buildings stared down at them, jagged and unusually shaped, even for non-minipet eyes. They took on a certain shape, towers, archaic and medieval, red flags unfurled. The furthest, highest point of the tower glimmered in a brilliant yellow light, but there was no discernible way to get above.
It seemed that they were, for the time being, trapped in this strange void zone. OOC WELCOME TO THE VOID ZONE- Good job, you killed the squid, which was actually preventing you from being sucked into the void zone. Everything here is odd and unusual, though you may notice something else in the zone along with the junk. Fragments, that is scattered everywhere in this area are crystal fragments. - If you KO during this area you just reappear back in this zone again at full health, but not without feeling unusual, as if someone had taken some part of you away, making you incomplete. Obtaining a fragment: You may try to grab a fragment, perhaps it is the only clue now. They hover by random objects, seemingly waiting for someone to claim them. - Roll a 100-sided dice IF trying for a fragment and match your dice roll below. You can only TRY three times. 1-20: A fragment hovers above a television set but as you half-hover, half-walk close to it, it sparkles and comes to life, electrocuting you. The fragment itself fades and disappears. 21- 40: A fragment seems to be half-merging with one of the oddly malformed minipets just floating in space. You make a grab for it, but not before the minipet's eyes snap to life and grabs you, attempting you drag you away. It gnashes unusual teeth at you, chatters in a strange and high shriek, and only with the greatest amount of effort do you finally extract the fragment from the minipet. You obtain ONE fragment. 41 - 60: You see a fragment surrounded by a patch of flowers, but upon nearing closer, the flowers emit a strange, toxic gas. You feel strange, lightheaded. And suddenly, everything makes sense. A voice calls to you whispering to you to remember your task a quest given to you and only you spanning centuries. You remember something else, hatred and betrayal: how someone you had trusted simply ignored your every word and plunged your world into further anarchy, bloodshed and confusion. A hatred consumes you and you pull away from the others. They would just betray you like they did in the past, you cannot put your trust in them. No, the fragments tell you so, they whisper to you, and understand you. They call to you, so tantalizingly close and yet... where are they? ((OOC: Anyone in this status effect can still engage in battle)) 61 - 80: A fragment blinks to life and you quickly grab on to it. Is it just your imagination or is it making a shrill screeching noise? 81 - 100: A fragment blinks to life and as you reach towards it, you the last thing you hear is a skull-rattling shriek as you dissipate.

Danny hit the ground with a loud THUMP, her wing bending awkwardly. She took a moment to shake herself off and look around the strange area. It was odd, like something out of a friend's sketchbook. Things were only half put together- but that was nothing unusual in Halloween where creatures likes Tess and Patchworks ran around.
What was odd is that they didn't seem be to be complete. It was like they were missing parts of themselves.
She didn't have time to think about it though, as a minipet randomly started screeching an biting her. Danny flailed, barking and lashing back, but it was no good. She noticed it had a strange green thing buried within its flesh and grabbed onto it. As it came loose, the minipet seemed to shut down, no longer shrieking and biting. She managed to wiggled out, and grabbed the fragment and ran.

After what felt like a long time of falling, Shun hit the ground with a thud. Surprisingly, that didn't hurt. But it did stun him for a moment or so. Groaning, he pushed himself to his feet and looked around. Oh. Where the hell were they now? Everything was looking really strange and distorted. There was also a lot of those shard things floating around. One such piece flickered before him, and he reached out to take it. Oddly enough, it sounded as if it was shrieking right now. That was... strange. After picking it up, he turned around, trying to see where everyone had landed. Danny was nearby, and he had lost sight of Mitsu once more. Perhaps if she was lucky she didn't end up in this messed up world. Dakota hissed...chirped? Hissed chirped as he was sucked YET AGAIN into another place. Just...no.
And then there was a fragment and he wanted it. And it was shiny. And he grabbed it but it felt like it was shrilling...Why?
Just why...? Marcus will be so displeased.

Since his last shard disappeared on a wail, Dakota had went searching for another. his beak pecked at another one, drawing it in his mouth.
And then electrocuted him. Disappearing and leaving Dakota with talking with a slur...and numbed mouth.

"Shun!" she called out as the minipet landed somewhere near her. That didn't look like it was painless. "Are you o- ... Are you ..."
A bright patch of flowers had distracted her, another one of those shiny green fragments sitting in it. She nestled her nose into the flowers as the smell of sweet flora intoxicated her senses.
Roch's face flashed in her mind, way back on the horsemen isles in the cave. It was a fake version, but the incident had never really left her- she'd never talked about it. Rikki as a weapon, Roch siding with the hunters. It was madness. They'd all betrayed her. Was that real? No it wasn't ... wait was it? Her mind couldn't differentiate the two. Images of Roch ordering her out of his room. Right, it must've been real.
She was back in the flower patch, Shun and a strange bird in her line of vision. No, she wouldn't help them. They could ... they could manage on their own. Yeah, that was it. Void ZoneOkay the slimy nasty mini that kept her suspended, that was MUCH better than this sudden stop. She was still squealing and whimpering when she hit the ground. WHY! It was not a good day. As she finally stopped whimpering she noticed shards everwhere. They were so shiny... Tori was getting a little sick and tired of being sucked, zapped or falling into other places as that just wasn’t fun at all. But there wasn’t much that Tori could do about that as she just had to go with the flow of things and Aklin snickered at that analogy. Not knowing how long the fall had been Tori had been really surprised that the fall really didn’t hurt. Tori opened her eyes and then quickly shutting them as she got hit with wave of dizziness. Groaning a little as the lifer rolled over onto her feet and then finally stood up. Finally Tori took a look around to see that this was one very strange place, interesting but strange none the less. Spotting one of those fragments floating near buy, Tori reached out and took it. To which it screeched at her which sorta freaked Tori out a little more. Well she wasn’t going to let to go because of the sound it was making and tucked the fragment into her scarf. Now Tori really wanted to at least find some one that she knew since it might make this place a little less creepy.

Dakota grinned as he saw the last fragment he was going to attempt to grab. Yes, That fragment...it was his. It would be his.
As he got closer though, a scent filled his nostrils, something sweet and seductive and strange. He sucked it in and then everything made sense.
Everything he had worked up for was this moment now. He backed away from the fragment, away from his friends to his enemies. He would never trust them the same again...
He always knew that he couldn't trust his friends. Wilson was prime example...Marcus was just a step away from turning on him for Cass, Harrison was wrapped in his boyfriends, Clerise...he hadn't talked to her since their barcelona...molly was in the arms of other guys.
There was no point in believing in his friends after all, They just were temporary...The fragement was forever.
The Phoenix Dakota chirped and cooed at it, where was the rest of his fragments?

Thankfully she had been unconscious the entire ride and it was only the jarring 'thwup' of her body hitting the ground that jarred her awake. Looking around, she noticed many of the minipets that were with her earlier. She squeaked happily, not so much a greeting, but voicing a joy that one is trying to keep contained but can't. She marveled at the sight around her. More shiny things. Others seemed to want them, maybe she wanted one too... The nearest one was attached to another minipet. It didn't seem to be alive at any rate, so Vixi gingerly and quite meekly tried to pull it out. When the creature snapped to life, Vixi shrieked and fell back, cowering on the ground and covering her eyes with her tail. A light *c***k* noise before her and Vixi looked up to see that she had some how managed to pry it free. The tiny shard was sitting on the ground. And then there was another minipet, one of fire. She was after his fragments!
It didn't matter if Friend or foe...They were his.
"Oi! Get off my fragments!" Dakota called out to the dog looking thing. Hopping his way over to and pecking her till she disappeared.
And then he was by himself, with the cold fragments he could trust.

Danny growled something fierce as the bird thing approached HER fragments. Clearly he didn't get the memo that other minipets weren't allowed to touch. "No, this is mine!"
She was tired though. The squid had beaten her down, her muscles weak. Scratches and tufts of pulled fur littered her body. It wasn't time for a fight.
But the fragment CALLED for a fight. She did her best, but the bird was upon her. Her limbs gave out in a matter of moments, and she dissipated back to the place she'd fallen in here.
Oddly energized. Danny stretched, confused as to why she was still a minipet. Even more so as she was still alive. It was weird! Really ... weird.
She was just going to lay here for a few minutes and get her barings again. Things were kind of wobbly and the half-finished scenery wasn't helping. If only she could find that damn bird...Quote: Faction: Amityville Element: Fire HP: 0 -> 30 Location: Void ZoneFragments: 1

Void ZoneThere there, jumping and landing on the shard, ahhaha! I got it! She thought as she happily pawed at the shard. But then there was an ear piercing squeal. What in the world where was it coming from. Holding the shard closer, and whimpering, should she let the shard go and just cover her ears. But then she'd loose the shard. Decisions decisions.
