Other forms of birth control are not working for me, I heard about other options for me such as a monthly shot or an IUD. thanks doc!11!

I'm getting one since my insurance covers it and when we are ready to get it taken out it won't cost so much.
Why are you worried about talking to your doctor about it? Lol

When I went to get the pill, my GP gave me a booklet of all the different contraceptive options and went through them all with me (risks, benefits etc.) and she asked me which one I wanted.
So maybe book an appointment about contraception generally, and then bring up the benefits of the IUD that make you want it. Or just ask her like "oh I wanted to look into the IUD method" or something.

I've just heard some stories of doctors who really look down upon putting an IUD into a childless woman/a woman who isn't in a long term relationship. I feel my gyno may be that way just from observation of her personality but we'll see.
I wanted to get ParaGard and not Mirena cause I heard Mirena blows a**

Wasn't in a long term relationship. I am on Mirena. Love it.

If my OBgyn were judgmental about that I'd look for a new one. It's not like it's permanent, and it should be looked at as you being responsible, not slutty or whatev.
