Has anyone else noticed that cartoons have slow started to suck horriably? is it just me or are CN, Nick, and Disney slowly killing themselves? what happened to shows like SWAT Kats, Batman animated series, Dexter's Lab, courage the cowardly dog, Samuria Jack, Johnny Bravo, Doug, Pinky and the Brain, The Addams Family, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, the first season of pokemon, Tom and Jerry, and any cartoons that fall between the timeline of 1990-2004.

remember this is my opinion, if you like new cartoons good for you, just don't ask me to watch them.

I'm disappointed that your poll did not include an option for both. As for the old stuff, i liked most of the toonami stuff. The new stuff mainly sucks, but the Last Airbender series has only gotten better over time (though, I suppose both the old and new stuff mentioned are closer to anime than cartoons).

Tom and Jerry, none of them had any speaking lines (for the most part. there must have been at least 1 moment) but yet they are better characters than characters in TV shows now.

I'm just going to say it. I hate mlp. As for the cartoons, I thought I've posted here before, old will kick the news a** all the time. Ed edd n eddy was a masterpiece! Rocko's modern life, masterpiece! Action league now, MASTERPIECE! Only modern cartoons I like are mad and adventure time.

Honestly I prefer the old cartoons over most of the new. The ones I don't mind for newer cartoons, are Avatar: The last Air bender, and Avatar: The Legend of Korra (though I think I still liked The Last Air Bender more.

I miss Courage the Cowardly Dog, that was an amazing show, and I don't know if anyone remembers The Angry Beavers? That was amazing too.

Dexter, I watched it anytime I could.

Fūma Kotarō and Tsuruhime…

cartoons?
um...i never watched much TV in the first place, and back then, it was stuff like The Magic School Bus. you know...educational?
of course, we only got satellite for the first time ever...a couple of MONTHS ago, so all i had was bunny ears, so i never got stuff like Cartoon Network.

I know what you mean, a lot of older shows had some kinda story line, point, or least were funny, but now they are replacing those with shows like kick buttowski, 9th grade ninja, a new tmnt (really? It was good for awhile but they lost us with remakes =_=), and more shows like them. They even managed to ruin loony toons. I only like three cartoon shows that are new; MAD, Avatar The Last Airbender, and Phineas and Ferb

She's got a body like an hourglass...

I miss Rocket Power, The Animaniacs, Hey Arnold, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, The Wild Thornberries, Rugrats, Totally Spies... there are a lot.

I remember feeling old the first time I saw the Powerpuff Girls on Boomerang.

...that's ticking like a clock.

I personally like MLP:FiM and the 2002 He-Man (NOT CHEESY biggrin ) and 2003 TMNT (ACTUALLY BASED OFF THE COMICS) better than the 1980's shows.

I don't watch the new cartoons hardly at all. But I started noticing the downward fall when I was about 10-12. And something else I've noticed is that they don't have nearly as good of animation as they used to...
