Many years ago, during the time the other races started to be thrown away and murdered, the Mermaids had a harder time than most. They had only lived in the Land of Light before. Very few could survive out of the water, and the ones who couldn’t were dying off the quickest. Mira was The Queen of the Mermaids, and she could not bear to watch her people be murdered any longer. She began to negotiate with the Angels, begging that they stop massacring her people, pleading that they just send them away to the Twilight and be done with them.
The Angels agreed, but to make sure that they new their place, a condition was brought up that Mira had no choice but to agree to. The Angels wanted the Mermaids to suffer one last time before they sent them off, and Mira was executed in front of all her people. Then the Mermaids were sent away, but not to water. Only the ones who could live on land survived, wiping most of them out.
Mira’s Pond was named after the brave Mermaid Queen Mira. And although the name sates this body of water is a pond, it is a small lake in the middle of the forest. It is surrounded by beautifully lit flowers and trees. The water reflects the Twilight sky so clearly and beautifully.

 Holtz sat at the edge of the pond. His feat barely touching the water. There seemed to be a dark aura, or feeling coming from him. Both tips of his fingers touched. He spoke silently to himself "Oh no. No. No. No. No hope for Holtz. No hope. No hope." Holtz said to himself. The sound that erupted from his voice sounded as though four people were talking at once. "NO!" He screamed at once but then kept talking to himself.
His hand touched the ground he was sitting on. "Mira..." He said to himself as he took a deep breathe. "Some much pain..." Holtz said again silently. Holtz's head started to twitch, "Not enough pain..." He exclaimed, trailing off. Holtz's head once again twitched as he looked up at the sky, bearing his sharp teeth. "Blood." Holtz said almost in a whisper. He sniffed the air, "Meat, food..." He said getting more silent and more silent with every word. The smell wore off and he sat there as he did before. Touching his finger tips and letting his toes tap the water. Holtz talked to himself, and yet again, with what sounded like more demons with him.

Nerissa Evandre  Nerissa floated on the surface with her eyes closed. Her tail gently swayed side to side as she listened to the silence. Her blood red hair floated under her looking like a blood pool. Nerissa's eyelids slowly opened exposing her deep blue eyes to the sun. She flipped over on her stomach and gracefully swam to a rock on the edge of the lake. Nerissa pulled herself up onto the rock. The rock warmed the underside of her tail. She grabbed her hair and rung out the water. She looked around her and began to sing "I hear your voice on the wind
And I hear you call out my name
Listen, my child, you say to me
I am the voice of your history
Be not afraid, come follow me
Answer my call, and I'll set you free." Nerissa's tail stirred the water as she moved it back and forth. Her voice carried over the water breaking the silence of the lake. A breeze came across the water lifting up her hair. Leaves that were carried in the breeze landed softly on the water sending out ripples. Narissa continued to sing, "I am the voice in the wind
and the pouring rain
I am the voice of your hunger and pain
I am the voice that always is calling you
I am the voice, I will remain." Nerissa looked up at the sun as she sung and smiled. When she sang it reminded her of her old life. The faint scar that ran down her stomach shimmered in the sunlight as she took a breath. "I am the voice in the fields
when the summer's gone
The dance of the leaves
when the autumn winds blow
Ne'er do I sleep thoughout
all the cold winter long
I am the force

Kesshin stumbled around appearing to look for something he had lost, but seeming lost himself. "I'm sure it was around here... or was it somewhere else?" he questioned himself. I know it was around a body of water was it here? I am so lost... he thought to himself as he ruffled the bushes and look over the ground. Kesshin was being very cautious as if he could step on the thing he was lokking for not knowing that that he was looking at it the wrong way not to mention in the wrong place as well.

Nerissa Evandre Nerissa cut of in the middle of her song when she heard the bush russel. She turned towards the noise. She called out "who's there?" Her blue eyes searched over the trees and bushes that surrounded the lake. Nerissa slowly pushed herself back into the water. Her whole body was submerge except her eyes and nose. OCC: The Voice

Kesshin heard a sound coming from the water, he also thought he heard singing or music he remembered that he heard some sort of music when he lost his memory. Kesshin was certain that this was the place even though he was wrong.At first glance he thought he saw something in the water but was of course unsure of if his mind was playing tricks on him. "Um...hello? is somebody in there?" Kesshin asked as he peered over putting his head closer and closer to the water.

Nerissa Evandre Nerissa watched a man with green hair walk towards the water. She stayed still as she could possibly be. When he called out, Nerissa disappeared under the water. She saw against the ground of the lake stirring up sand and mud as she swam making the lake get even more cloudy. Nerissa swam up slightly were she was look straight on at the man, who was looking into the water, she was covered by the dirt cloud in the water. She swam closer and closer until the man was able to see her deep blue eyes and red hair pierce through the water. Nerissa surfaced and said "Hello."

Kesshin fell back was taken aback, he knew he thought he saw something there but he would have never guessed it was a mermaid. All he could do was gaze at her he didn't know what to say and for the moment he forgot all about what he had lost. "Wow..." Kesshin said. He rubbed is eyes to see if she was real or just a figment of his imagination. A real live mermaid... I've heard stories but I never would have thought I would find one here. A girl with an angel wing and a devil wing, a guy with wings too and a mermaid... Where in the world exactly am I? All these strange beings... but I'm not one to talk am I? Kesshin was rummaging through his thoughts still with his mouth wide open staring at the mermaid. "Er-um... wow..." was all that he could manage to think of saying.

Nerissa Evandre Nerissa cocked her head sideways and smiled sweetly at the man. She giggled softly as he feel back and rub his eyes. "I am real. You aren't imagining me. Of course that is what imaginary people would say." She said trailing off. She swam back to the middle of the pond on her back. Her tails sent waves through the pond as she swam. "Is that all you can say?" Nerissa said in her melodic voice. She doubled over backwards disappearing into the water with barely a splash. After a minute or two, Nerissa re-surfaced by the rock she was sitting on previously. She clambered onto the rock twisting her hair until it was dry. Her blood red hair stretched all the way down her back to the top of her tail. Some of her hair went down the front of her chest covering the blue top she was wearing. Nerissa twirled some of her hair around her index finger. She then untwirled it then re-twirled it over and over again. Nerissa looked over at the man and asked "What brings you here?"

Kesshin smiled at the girl as she was swimming around he was still amazed that he was face to face with a real mermaid, soon he realized again why he came here when the young mermaid asked " Oh nothing, I'm just looking for something I lost awhile back. I thought I lost it over here somewhere but I can't really remember all that well..." he said scratching his head trying to remember. "I remember music... or singing around the time I lost it and I was near water, I heard a song or something coming from over here so I assumed I lost it here." said Kesshin closing his eyes trying to remember more. His head was blank but he could see something in his mind, it was still unshaped. He opened his eyes again and asked " Were you always around here in this pond?"

Nerissa Evandre One of Nerissa's eyebrows arched slightly at a the statement of him lossing something. Nerissa leaned over resting her elbows on her tail, so she could support her head with her left hand. Her other hand laid across her tail. "Do you know what you have lost? I could try to help you find it, that is if it is a materialistic thing not any memory." Nerissa watched intently as the man scratched his head and thought for a moment. The corners of her mouth rose into a grin when he mentioned sing or music. "That was probably me you heard. You should know mermaid are known for our singing capabilities." Nerissa said laughing to herself. She rolled of the rock and on to the grass beside the strange man. She supported her head with both of her hands this timee. Nerissa's silver tail stayed in the water swaying side to side gracefully. She thought to herself making a humming noise as she thought. "Yes, usually." She lifted up her tail and said "Can't real go many places with this. But on occasions, I will leave the pond. Would you like to know if I saw anything"

Kesshin shook his head "No you can't really help me." he said falling to the ground on his back. He laid on the floor with his body spread out looking up at the sky. "If you've been here then and you just met me then that must mean I haven't been around here before. I don't think I know any other body of water around here..." assumed Kesshin. He sat up and said "You really do have a lovely singing voice though. Reminds me of when my mother used to sing to me when I was a kid... but your voice is much more lovely"

Nerissa Evandre Nerissa shrugged and said "You might have been. I may have been distracted doing something in the depths." She sifted slightly causing the faint scar on her stomach shimmer. Nerissa laid her head down on her right arm while her left plucked at the grass near her. Nerissa smiled again and said "Thanks. But unlike your mother, my voice is deadly. My mother on the other hand..." Nerissa trailed off in mid-sentence. Her eyes darken with sadness at the thought of her parents. She hadn't spoken since she left them. Nerissa bit her bottom lip gently as she thought back into her past. Her fingers continued to plucked and swirl through the grass as she thought. Nerissa blinked suddenly, her eyes cleared to there normal color as she pushed back the thought of her parents. "Well there are other lakes and ponds. I can show them if you like." Nerissa said grinning ear to ear. She has been itching to get out of the pond but never had a reason, now she does.

Kesshin dazed off when Nerissa spoke of parents. He could have guess by the way she spoke that something might have happened. For some reason a deep sadness came over Kesshin when he heard her. He closed his eyes and actually remember a lovely memories of his family, what was in his mind right now was the family portrait. "I wonder how my parents are doing... how my brother and sister are fairing without their little brother around." looked over to her smiling the way she did and said "I remember that." he smiled back at her and said "I gotta see how you move around anyway, you have no legs. Do you fly? Do you levitate? how does it work?" Kesshin eagerly and curiously asked.

Nerissa Evandre Nerissa laughed but quickly she shut her mouth trying not to laugh. She shook her head and said "I would show your but...you probably aren't read to see that yet." Nerissa winked at him and smiled and said sternly. "Close your eyes." She pulled her tail fully out of the water. She looked over at the man and said "Oh yeah what is your name? I am Nerissa by the way." She wanted for his reply and waiting for him to shut is eyes. Once he did, Nerissa scooted over to him and waved her hand in front of his face, once she was satisfied her couldn't see. Nerissa scooted back again and closed her eyes. Slowly a small line ran down the middle of her tail. The line began to sink into her tail splitting it into two. Her fins began to disappear and morph in to feet. The scales on her tail are soon replaced by skin. After the transformation, Nerissa slowly stands up getting use to her legs. No matter how many tails she does this she can never get use to standing on her feet. Nerissa walks over to a bush and pulls out some clothes. She slips on underwear and short. "Ok you can look." She says as she slips a tank-top over her head. She turns to Kesshins and smiles "Ta-dah!"
