Yup. He declared it a few hours ago. Google it - you'll see. ___

Eh, sorry to be a negative nancy, but I personally don't like him. I've been on the recieving end of his screw. I'm in the military, and we have recieved so many cut backs that during my Basic training, we couldn't even afford to have training ammo.
Now, on the speculation of him supporting gay marriage. Gay marriage is an issue that has been left up to the states to decide. He has no control over it. Now, if he were to try to pass a bill that says we have the right to marry who we like, then it would have to pass through the house of rep. and the senate. This could take years. But he says its a personal stand for him, he may not even try to do anything for that right. It just might be for him to gain votes.
The economy has gone down significantly. Its easy to see that. Our kiss a** policy of us shoving out money to these foriegn countries that clearly dislike us is insane. Why give out money if we are suffering as well. The unemployment rate has increased since he took office as well. I'm not a Republican nor a Democrat. I just want a president who won't force Socialism down my neck (obama), or won't shove down family moral's down my neck (romney). This is my personal stand.

He's actually been behind a bunch of the steps forward that have been taken in the last few years. There's actually a list out there that shows how he has already been helping the LGBT community in the country. He gets quite some heat for many reasons, but meh, he still has my vote. Goodness forbid someone else goes into office and destroys the bit of progress we have made. stare
...and Onato I think some of your statistics may be off, I am not saying it's for sure, but the department of labor and statistics says otherwise. Plus, it's much weight to put on just one man who has had to follow after the mess Bush left behind. I am not to going to start an argument with anyone, but just thought I would throw it out there.

Oh, I wasn't trying to start an argument :3. The reasone why I say employment is down is that I live in an area where most people would rather be unemployed and suck up government help. Its disgusting. I could careless who gets into office. I just don't like Obama's policies. On another note, Bush, was a total brick. And yes, I mean brick. He's flat headed on issues. But, economics wise, he had to deal with Clinton's policies that went into effect after he left. So, its not always Bush, but I'm not saying its not his fault. Its just clear to say, I hate everyone. I just believe that the Feds and State has no place on the topic of love. Marriage should be left up to the individual.

I say we're screwed no matter who gets into office. The president just enforces the laws. Its the Congress that makes them and where our focuses should mostly be aimed.

Well I'm not quite old enough to vote yet (I miss the cut off date by about 10 days stare ), but from what little research I have done I am extremely happy with the advances Obama has made with the LGBT community. I haven't exactly chosen a preference for a party yet, but I definitely dislike Romney....

I was at work and a patient had the news on, I couldn't help but to lock at the TV as he said he supported gay marriage. Today, I was proud to be an American and proud to have Obama as my president. He already had my vote in November and this won't hurt that. <3

I will very likely vote for him again. I can't stand the Republican candidates.

Well, I suppose that's a small step forward. Better than our PM's stance on the issue, certainly.

Okay. I am really not going to try to be racist, but I really have to speak what is on my mind about this. Yes.Obama is black. I understand that. But the black population mostly supports Straight Marriages. Whites are mostly gay and lez. I'm bi. Most of my area is bi. I may not like to see married gay couples, but now? This whole world will fall apart. I can see the whites voting for Obama for this. Obama may lose some votes from the black side. Asians. I wouldn't know. Anything else, I don't know. But I do know that christians can be very against this. So Obama loses Kudos there. Obama may gain those kudos back from all the gays and lesbians out there, though. As for me, I can't speak for everybody, but I'm speaking my mind. But if too many gays and lesbian couples come to par, we may as well say good bye to the world, because most people will be adopting and sooner or later there will be nothing left. Gays and Lesbians sometimes say that it is easier to be that way because with being Straight there are rules. Not being means no rules. And safe play.
