Several clans members were awaiting the students as they headed back into the portal arrival area, the floating island tethered to the rest of the Four Clans. They were whispering amongst themselves, heatedly: there was no sign of any portal heading back.

"We apologize," It was the Conquest ambassador who spoke first, bowing politely, "There has been a small delay setting up your entry home, during our Conference, we unfortunately do not allow anyone to enter or exit the Four Clans. This has been our tradition for centuries." A pause. "However, we do extend in the meanwhile our courtesy here as an apology for the delay. The Conference should take no longer than one day, and your return to Amityville will be scheduled promptly afterwards. For now, we invite all students to visit each of the Four Clans, there have been doors set up that lead you from one clan to the next in all convenient locations to facilitate your experience with us. Simply do not stray off the marked paths to explore."

The War clans member cleared their throat. "It means we have given you students access to visit our clans for a full day, make sure you do not abuse or take this privilege lightly, we only grant such access because of your outstanding behaviour. It is also very important during the ceremony that you do not interrupt our Clans ways, doing so will upset the Clan and our elders. The importance of our Conference is far greater than you students could ever imagine."

There was no mistaking the condescending tone, yet it looked like the two were not in a very open mood, terse and stressed themselves. Whatever the Conference was, they were in no mood to share details with the outsiders.

"Your dorm rooms will remain open as always, abundance in food and supplies have been provided in each Clans location. Once again, be on your best behaviour." The Conquest Clans member gave them a very reproachful look as they ushered back towards the islands.

gaia_crown [ NEW RULES FOR WEEK 3 ]: The rules have changed for week 3! Please read all the rules first before proceeding so you know what to do!

gaia_crown [ ALL ISLANDS UNLOCKED ]: Your student can now visit all four of the islands. A isle portal has been set up at each Clan subforum (see forum) for students to ENTER and EXIT an isle and visit the next one. Students can only ICly be on one ISLE at a time. CHOOSE AN ISLE you want to rp in, then CHOOSE AN ORP THREAD. Rp as you wish!

gaia_crown [ VISIT ORPS ONLY ]: There are two ORPS that students can visit to once again, roll dice, admire the settings, etcetc/ try for points. You can still only roll CUMULATIVELY IN ANY THREAD three times (try three times ie: I try once in Jade pavilion and twice in Death Isle's Temple = 3 times that day). Reset is at 11:59 PM PST.

gaia_crown [ GENERAL INTERACTION ]: You can only be in one location at a time. If you want to stay in the same isle but in a different AREA, you need to ENTER and EXIT the area. Because volume can get chaotic, make sure you quote the player you are interacting with.

Shun furrowed his brow lightly at this news. He had to wonder if the ritual mentioned at the end of the death class had anything to do with this conference. The fact that it was so important had him slightly suspicious of what they were going to talk about. It was hard not to think about it given the sorts of things he had seen. The reaper didn't particularly care for the tone the ambassadors used when explaining all of this either.

In any case, an extra day around here shouldn't be too bad he supposed, especially since they new had free reign over the islands. He did want to go and visit Conquest to see what that place was like.

Placing his hands into his pockets, he let out a breath before looking around to see where a few certain individuals were to see if they had any sort of preferences on where to go.

After spending a whole week in Conquest and ditching his class, Ace was weary of showing up to an assembly. Hopefully among those hundreds of students his absence in the second week would go unnoticed. You see, he was far too busy playing diplomacy that he'd forgotten the reason that he was here in the first place!

There was nothing suspicious about this delay to Ace though a certain half beast would be pacing in anxiety about the whole ordeal.

Wylfenne looked around. Well, it is not that they were in a hurry to go back to Amityville - and back home, then, but it was all getting curioser and curiouser . They honoured all the traditional stuff, but.... shouldn't it be planned so that to avoid any time overlaps? And was it by chance that the students got stuck here? And then... A Conference? Was it the one Medea was called for the other day?

But on the brighter note, weren't they all allowed to explore the place a bit more?On their best behaviour, of course, and no mischievous tricks (their other part grinned in expectation). The question was, where should they go and should they go alone or stick to someone else?

His bags were packed. He had a small flower plucked from the Isle of War and stored carefully away in his bag to bring back for Wren, and a tiny bottle of sand from the Isle of War to show her. Eager to tell his ghoulfriend about everything that had happened over the past two weeks - not to mention relaxing back in his own dorm room with his minipets - Sparrow Heartreed was set to return to Amityville High.

Except it seemed...not quite as simple as he had thought it would be.

"A delay?" said Sparrow aloud, his brows drawing together in confusion at this extraordinarily unexpected news. Though the Islands had been utterly fascinating - for more reasons than one - he could not help but feel slightly out of place the entire time. This was not his home, after all - it belonged to the Horsemen, and they prided themselves on it. He had expected their dismissal from the Islands to be just as quick and painless as their arrival.

Apparently not. And Sparrow did not miss the tone of voice of the Horsemen who spoke to them. He glanced around, sliding his hands into his pockets and frowning a bit uncertainly as he tried to find anyone he knew within the crowds.

Perhaps he could find someone to persuade to come with him to a certain Isle to keep him company. Jack, maybe, if he could find the cat, since he kept losing him somehow and had not gotten to spend much time with him on the Isle of War.

Or maybe he'd just find someone new to pester.

Danny's face fell the second the horsemen said she couldn't go home. She'd have to stay on Conquest? She'd have to deal with more dresses and fancy dancing and-

Okay it was only for one more day. Maybe she could do this ...

Her expression perked up remarkably when they said she could go to the other islands. Oh thank Jack, she didn't have to run around getting condescending looks all the time and gosh thank you. She'd spaced out for a few moment, and when she came back the leader was ushering them into the portal. She missed the entire speech about the conference and being on their best behavior. Whoops.

Other than "NOT CONQUEST PLEASE," Danny didn't really have a preference. She looked over at Rikki and Roch and said, "Where to?" She looked at the portals and said, "But uh ... let's not stay in Conquest okay?"

Roch looked at the Conquest guy with a slight frown on his face, then he shrugged at Danny's question. "Anywhere other than Conquest," he agreed. "I ain't seen Death or Famine yet, wanna go to one of those?" he asked Danny and Rikki. "Or you two can go somewhere else and be all couple-y, and I'll island hop on my own!" he added, grinning.

Clyde wasn't sure what he was feeling at that point when he heard the trip back was delayed. They were being held here, because of a conference meeting...A simple conference meeting. He would had thought that they were delayed in heading back to Amityville because of something that was labelled life threatening but no, it was a conference.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me..."

The varcolac let out a huff before looking around, the clan member did mention they were free to travel to any of the isles....Maybe he can drag someone with him for an adventure.

That was interesting news. Shenny wa quite curious what kind of conference they were talking about... Could it be the Ceremony she heard about on Famine?.. Anyway, looks like the thinks are going fast now.

The ghoul looked around seeking a familiar face. She had no idea where to go, may be visit Famine again? Or War, she hadn't been there before, but the scene in the last door with the War queen herself made her quite interested in War clansmen and their realm.

But first, she needs to find somebody to go with. Travelling alone might not be safe... she had a bad feeling about what's going on.

Shenny noticed the Fae and the reaper boil she was speaking with earlier in dorms.

"Hi! Do you already know where would you like to go?... I don't really no a lot of people here, I'm not from Amityville... but if anyone's looking for a company I promise to be undisturbing", the ghoul smiled.

Calder had his satchel and his phone, and was waiting to get back to school. He'd been beaten, bruised, sent to other times and places, and was generally exhausted with a head full of lessons and things he still had to process fully and was ready to just crawl into his boilfriend's bed and zonk out for a few days. Do doubt Barth would like that. He missed his friends, and he missed the school. Ready to go, he woke up that morning already counting the hours before they could go back.

And now that was extended.

Frowning, he guessed he could check the other clans he didn't go to, but that wasn't helping him much. He looked around for someone he could tag along with.

Vaith didnt mind the delay~ After all, it meant he could wander for the day. He never went to Conquest or Death yet .. so that was exactly where he was planning to go. Delays were great, Vaith was never in a rush to go back to Amityville!

"Riiiiight, Note?"

Note was still mad at him. Over the war mounts. It huffed. Vaith sighed.

Hel, much like her peers, had been packed and ready to go as well. She toted around her small bag, in addition to a ridiculously large straw hat she happened to magically acquire at the Isle of Conquest. The ghoul blinked though, her brows furrowing as they were detained. Another day huh?

Well…she couldn’t say she was upset. She actually liked it here…it was exotic new, and she felt like she was learning a whole lot. Another day to soak in the cultures was welcomed…maybe she’d even go to the Isles she hadn’t visited yet! Before going anywhere though, the ghoul caught sight of Sparrow, who for a lack of better words, seemed more than ready to go. She wandered over to the reaper, nodded her head a bit. “Sparrow.” She greeted, and then gestured to his bags.

“More than ready, eh? Now you have to lug all those back. Need help?”

Taryn listened to the announcement with... mixed emotions. On one hand, they had another day to remain with the Clans... on the other hand, something was going on; something dire and important. That was never a good sign.

The ghoul had grown fond of the Death clan in the past week, but she had been to Famine first and foremost and felt as if she perhaps should return there. She'd have to wait and see where her friends were going to, perhaps make a proper team... or would exploring on her own be more kind? The Clans wanted zero interference, and an entire group of Amityville students could easily do that.

Well, she'd just have to wait and see wouldn't she?

Yin was ready to go home.

Now.

However stressed and tense the clans members were? He might just have them beat. He wanted to be home and make sure that everyone was safe and he wanted to shift but the horsemen apparently had something quite against natural forms.

It was really rather sad that they felt the need to tell them to be on their best behavior, as if they could not figure that out on their own.

To put it lightly he really was not in a good mood to arrive at the portal only to find out they were stuck. But everyone seemed to be there, which meant that Alexander should be there, and if he could simply see with his own eyes that the zomboil was okay and not beheaded and charred it would help. The rest could wait until later.

Tyalessa didnt feel comfortable with the fact that the horsemen hadnt made the the portal thingy to get back to Amityville, they have had two weeks to organize it. She clutched her suitcase wondering where she should go, she's been to death isle and conquest and like both places, even if they did have their flaws, but there was still war or famine to go to
