Located in a prime location along the main road of the Sunagakure Marketplace, Yasashii's Sealing Emporium is a small building with only a few rooms. The largest of the rooms is at the front. Six chairs line the outer walls for those waiting to be attended to, and there is one chair in the very center of the room, designed to lean back a great deal, and optimized for comfort in any position. On the back wall there is a desk with a single chair behind it. The desk is covered with various papers and ink vials. The walls of the room are covered in pieces of paper holding what appear at first glance to be simple tattoo designs, as could be found in any tattoo parlor, but according to a sign beside the door, they are all possible designs that can be used in sealing techniques. Said sign also holds a list of all the basic seals Yasashii knows how to draw, with prices for them.
Hanging over the outside of the door of the shop is a sign reading “Yasashii's Sealing Emporium”, and below it, in much smaller letters, “Unumijeha Godd Rapah Qoa”, a phrase Yasashii insists to all who ask is a blessing taught to him by the man who taught him sealing, which brings good fortune to all who pass the door.
The back rooms of the building are rather cramped in comparison to the rest, containing only the smallest of living spaces. Enough for Yasashii to sleep, eat, and prepare his food. Not the most spacious of homes, but enough, for now.

Welcome to Yasashii's Sealing Emporium! There are many types of seals in this world, and most can only be created by a sealing master. Certain methods also are only available to us. In this shop, I create miracles of the art, for you, my customers, for a small fee.
On the walls you will see many designs. These are suggestions for tattoo sealing. Tattoo sealing is, obviously, placing a seal on your body. Most are permanent, so think carefully before taking one. The pictures are mere suggestions, any image you desire can be used.
Seals are most powerful when used in combinations. A single seal may be good, but an array utilizing more is infinitely more customizable. Again, think carefully on what you want. I can make some suggestions, but I can help you think of your own too.
One last note, if you have an idea for a seal that does not yet exist, I can assist you in creating it, given enough time to research it.
I can even teach you to use some of the basic seals, also for a small fee.

Nomiya Yasashii~ It didn't take long for Yasashii to find the building he had purchased, though he was surprised to find the previous owners still in the process of moving out. Apparently, it had been a tattoo parlor before, amusingly enough, and the old owners were still hauling out boxes of supplies. The walls were still plastered with sample pictures of tattoos they could do, and Yasashii spent the time waiting for them to leave, since they had let him in to look around, perusing the drawings. Gradually he began to realize that most of these he could do well enough himself, the simpler ones anyways, his skills in sealing being an art of their own. The more complicated ones he could achieve with practice, and the hardest, well, chakra was an amazing thing. So it was that when one of the men clearing up went to start removing the photos, Yasashii, without really even thinking about it, spoke up. "Can you leave those?" he asked rather hopefully. The man looked at him oddly, but shrugged, saying that they didn't really need them anyways, and finished moving out the last of the other stuff. With the old owners gone soon later, Yasashii happily began exploring the building, familiarizing himself with it. It had all the basic necessities, bathroom, fully operable kitchen, though the refrigerator was empty, and the old owners had even left behind bedroom arrangements, though it was just a bed and dresser. It was a major step down from his apartment over the Kariko Bar, but it was far from unlivable. He would simply have to make good on his sales and improve the place. With enough money, he could buy one or two of the buildings adjacent to it and combine them into one. Soon enough some men arrived with the furniture Yasashii had ordered, and he got to work arranging the front room as he wanted it. The rather nice mahogany desk went to the back, along with one chair. Six plain but comfortable wooden chairs went along the other walls, two to a wall, and the last, a large tattooist's chair went in the exact center of the room, where the mount for the old owner's chair still sat waiting. The little man had even included two large pieces of flat wood for him, which he carved into with one of his senbon, using a bit of chakra to smooth the carvings, and made two signs. One he hung outside the door where it rocked back and forth in the wind, and the other he pinned up beside the door where it could easily be read. He smiled as he finished, looking the room over once more. It was nice, still sort of bare, but very nice. Someday he might be able to build a library again, have his own study where he could develop seals at his leisure, but for now, this would be his home, his life. He could only hope that his old friends would find the message outside his door, and perhaps join him in this new life. Organization done, Yasashii unsealed everything from his scroll, putting the strongbox in a desk drawer, papers on top of the desk, ink in another drawer, leaving only one out. The senbon found their place in a drawer of the desk too, while his journal and custom made brush were pulled from his pockets and set atop the desk as well. His spare clothing and food supplies soon found their way into his new bedroom and kitchen, and soon enough, all he was carrying on him were the clothes on his back. Even his now empty storage scroll was sitting atop his new desk. With nothing left to do, and him being rather tired from a now very long day, Yasashii laid himself out on the tattooing chair in his shop, deciding to take a nap, and wait to see if he had any customers. The new sign should attract some at least, as he had made sure to place it differently from the old owner's sign. Perhaps he could advertise somehow... A thought for another day. For now, sleep. ~ [Chakra: 125/125]Yasashii's Sealing Emporium is now open for business! Yay!

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Walking down the streets of the Sunagakure, Shinji did his best to imagine the dusty streets as his new home, but found the task impossible for the time being. At the very least, as he walked towards the library, he could familiarize himself with some of the local shops in case he had need of them later on. One store however grabbed his attention above all others, the unique lettering on the sign catching his eye. Wondering what in the world the strange lettering could be... the question of what a 'Sealing Emporium' was also struck a curious nerve.
Deciding that there was only one way to figure it out, Shinji waited for the most recent blast of wind and sand to pass before quickly opening the door, entering the store and closing the door behind him. Looking around him quickly, Shinji noted the pictures hanging on the wall, riddled with interesting designs which seemed like tattoos. Shinji had of course heard of Sealing ninjutsu, but he wondered how someone could make a business of such a thing. Seals normally suppressed chakra or other effects, at least as far as he knew... and there only other application seemed to be for creating exploding tags, or other random tools.
Letting out a questioning "Hello?" into what he thought was an empty room, Shinji finally took notice that there was actually a man lying in what seemed to be a tattooing chair, staring at him, as if he was waiting for Shinji to notice him. Displaying nothing but a smile, Shinji looked at the man questioningly, but then quickly broke the silence between them... "I'm assuming you would be Yasashi?... An interesting store you have here... what exactly is it that you sell? I will admit that my knowledge of sealing ninjutsu is limited, but from what I do know, I find it hard to think one could make a business out of them... at least not an overly profitable one..."[Chakra Reserves: 36 / ∞] [Stamina : 75/85]

Nomiya Yasashii~ Yasa woke from his impromptu nap at the sound of his door opening. Opening his eyes and looking up, he found a young man who appeared to be examining the pictures on the walls, though it appeared to him that the boy hadn't yet noticed the sign he'd hung beside the door. Perhaps it should go someplace more noticeable... Deciding not to bother the boy, as it was possible he was searching for a good design in the images, Yasashii simply watched, silently lifting himself from his sleeping position to a more alert pose. Soon enough, the boy took notice of his presence, and... Yasashii feigned shock at what he said. "Ah, first to walk through the door and he jinxes the shop..." the man spoke quietly, though not enough so for Shinji to miss it, putting his hand over his heart as if to still it's beating. After a moment though, he smiled, spinning in place he put his feet on the floor, and his hands in his lap as he gazed at the young man before him. "I assume from your wording, that you are one of those who assumes sealing is about stuffing things in scrolls and making explosive tags?" Yasashii spoke out in a slightly more serious tone, but keeping a smile on his face to show he wasn't truly offended by that idea. "Those are only the first step of sealing. Practice really, for those who want to take up the art. Almost anything you can imagine can be done with seals, if you have the mind to put them together." Yasashii smiled widely, standing up and walking over to his new desk, dropping into the seat behind it and looking up again at Shinji. "So, what would you like? Anything at all you can think of, I can find a way to make it work."~ [Chakra: 125/125]

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Judging by the man's response, it seemed that he was just as surprised as Shinji to find someone else in the store and muttered something about a jinx which Shinji didn't understand. Putting that aside however, he observed the man as he lectured him on seals and then walked across the room to the desk. The man seemed interesting enough and seemed to have a rather specialized skill set, though Shinji wondered if perhaps he was also a Shinobi. Surely, to know sealing he must have studied chakra control among other things, but that didn't mean he was combat effective.
Either way, once the man asked him what he was looking for, Shinji responded quickly, mostly because he wasn't particularly looking for anything. He was simply curious as to what sealing could be applied to other then what he knew already... "Well, I wouldn't say that I assumed that's all they could do... I had just never learned that they did anything else. It all sounds very interesting though." Shinji put his hand to his chin and began to ponder what 'anything' could mean in terms of what could be done, but was drawing a blank. He didn't doubt that Yasashi knew what he was talking about, but he was having a hard time grasping the concept that seals could be used in other ways.
"Well, I can't really think of anything myself. Why not give me an example of the types of things you can do with seals which would go beyond the beginner's level as you mentioned? If I can see an example of what can be done with seals, maybe it will inspire my imagination and pique my interest." That last part could have seemed like he was trying to negotiate with Yasashi in some way, but really he was genuinely curious as to what else could be accomplished using seals. So, he waited for a response with a smile and great anticipation. [Chakra Reserves: 36 / ∞] [Stamina : 74/85]

Nomiya Yasashii~ Yasashii smiled at the boy before him. He said he didn't assume, yet he still couldn't think of anything. Sure, he'd probably never really looked into the art. Most people didn't unless they intended to be masters. It was still amusing though. Raising his right hand, he pointed at the sign beside the door. He really would have to move that. "On that sign is a list of seals. Being that sealing specialists are rather uncreative with names, it shouldn't be too hard for you to understand what each one does. I could explain each one to you and suggest ways of using them, but, anything I suggest might not fit your particular style." Yasashii shrugged, still smiling. "As for going beyond the beginner level... Anyone with a little skill and dedication can learn to make those seals. The next level is arrays. Putting multiple seals together to create a completely unique effect." Yasa grinned, spreading his arms widely. He'd never been able to speak openly about his art before, and this felt rather, liberating. "For a weapon user..." he continued, eyes crawling across the rather unique sword on the boy's back. "I could make an array to, say, create an explosion every time the weapon hit it's target. With the right seals, I could even copy the effects of those legendary swords that can only be used by a single person, and harm anyone else who tries.""Or perhaps for a ninjutsu specialist, an array that could let you cast ninjutsu with your voice alone. Imagine throwing a kunai, only to have it fire a powerful ninjutsu when it hits it's target." Yasa mimed the action of throwing a kunai across the room, grinning the whole while. "And seals truly excel in the art of trapping. Use the right seals, and a simple pit trap, or even an empty room can become a crushing deathtrap." and he pressed his hands together tightly as if to show the crushing in action. "Like I said, anything is possible. You just need to know what you want." With that, Yasa stopped talking, pointing once more at the sign listing seals as if to direct the boy's attention that way again, in case he'd been distracted by Yasashii's descriptions. "Of course..." he tossed in quietly with an odd smile on his face. "I also sell explosive tags, slightly cheaper than the going rate." he chuckled at that, leaning back in his chair to watch. ~ [Chakra: 125/125]

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Listening intently to Yasashi's explanations and examples, Shinji was spellbound by the new concepts he was being taught. How such things were possible and yet not part of every shinobi's arsenal was beyond his understanding... but then again, perhaps the sealing arts were a more recent discovery in terms of their applications. as the man continued on, Shinji barely even noticed the spike of pain which shot through his body, causing his face to temporary twitch. Shinji barely even registered the distracting pain as he was more interested to learn more about sealing, but no doubt the sudden facial twitch accompanied by a wince of pain on the young man's face would be noticed.
As Yasashi continued with his examples, Shinji's mind raced with the possibilities. A kunai becomes a wall or a dome... a shuriken transformed into a stream of fire... the possibilities were truly endless. All the mention of explosions particularly amused Shinji, but the variety of applications the seals could have continued to pique his interest as he heard about entire arrays of seals linked together. Shinji was slowly realizing that he had stumbled onto a store that could only be described as a diamond in the rough. Taking heed of the man's suggestion, Shinji went over the the sign with the list of pricing and began perusing the list, verbally processing at times as he read through it all...
"Very interesting... so a Kyouka seal can be used to reinforce walls to absorb any attack. I wonder... Hey Mr. Yasashi, could you make a seal on someone's hands that would allow them to apply a characteristic to anything they touched? Like if I created a wall of earth, would I then be able to place my hand on the wall and provide the effects of a Kyouka seal?" Shinji asked the question in passing, but didn't wait for a response as he continued to pour over the list and examine what was available...
"Gravity, Magnet, Security... this is simply fascinating. Imagine what you could do with those. You could create a self-returning kunai, or a self-returning sword." Perusing the list further, Shinji got to the "parts seals" section and stared at it for a few seconds blankly before he finally realized what Yasashi had meant earlier when he referred to arrays... "Wait a minute... are you saying you could link seals together with the 'parts seals' in any combination?" Shinji had recalled that he had mentioned a voice command could trigger an effect, just like a strike against another weapon. he quickly made the connection between that and the 'Trigger' part, but wondered what else was available.
Continuing to read the list, Shinji saw the entire thing as an enormous puzzle as he tried to imagine what could be done with all of the seals when used in combination with each other. Then, it suddenly occurred to him... the seals could be used to store chakra and funnel it to a specific use, based on a trigger... "I could activate Forza's effects on a triggered command, and have it draw on chakra placed in a battery rather then using my own..." Excited by the concept, Shinji immediately turned around to face Yasashi with a wide smile on his face...
"Hey, Mr. Yasashi... can you channel elemental-specific chakra into a seal and then use that to charge something, like say, the blade on my back?" After asking the question, Shinji removed Forza from the clamp holder on his back with a bit of a 'clank' and then held the blade out towards Yasa to show him the weapon. "This is Forza... it's a blade that was specifically designed to channel and utilize chakra in a variety of ways." Channeling his chakra into the blade, Shinji activated the Katon effect of the weapon effortlessly as the blade suddenly took on a red glow before igniting in flames.
"This is the effect of flooding the blade with the Katon element... but it doesn't necessarily need to be my chakra which initiates the effect. It's capable of absorbing all the elements, but can only activate one effect at a time and it requires an infusion of the effects specific element on each activation. Obviously, I lack the ability to fully utilize the weapon, but perhaps you could help me with that. Could you create a seal that would store a specific chakra type in a battery seal, which when attached to the blade, would then activate the sword's desired effect?" Letting the question linger in the air, Shinji allowed the blade to remain ignited in flame in case Yasashi wanted to study it further, but said nothing else. If the man could do this, it would revolutionize the way he could use Forza and would make all of it's abilities ready and available whenever he needed them, despite his own limitations. Nomiya Yasashii~ Yasashii watched the boy wide an ever growing smile. His words apparently had opened the boy's mind, as now he was rambling over ideas, asking questions without giving time to answer them, and mumbling to himself. it was too bad he was so old looking. As a shinobi he undoubtedly already had a following in his jutsu style. But the way he was talking, it seemed almost as if he'd be asking for apprenticeship if Yasa kept pumping up sealing for him. Quite the first customer indeed. He noticed an odd wince at one point, as if the boy may have been in pain, but the speed at which the symptoms vanished made him assume it may have simply been excitement, as that was the aura the boy exuded. And then the boy's rambling stopped, replaced by a solid question. He wanted a seal that would channel a specific element into his blade... And then he was holding the blade out, and, more surprisingly, the blade was on fire. Yasashii blinked slowly, and a serious look crossed his face as he listened to the boy's explanation, his eyes crawling over the sword in interest. With his description, the blade could absorb any element, and then, judging by the katon example, coat itself in that element... Pulling a bit of plain paper from the stack on his desk, Yasashii picked up his brush, opening a jar of ink in the process and, dipping the brush in the ink, he began to carefully draw out a small seal. The concept was interesting. If the blade truly absorbed the chakra, rather than being forced in by a specialized jutsu, a simple battery seal would suffice, needing only to be activated to set off the effect... After a few seconds, the seal Yasashii had started on was done and drying. Setting his brush casually aside, he put one finger on the seal, channeling a tiny bit of chakra into it. Instantly, the fire on the blade seemed to peel off of it, flying through the air and clumping together upon the seal, where it quickly burned up the slip of paper and went out, having been cut off from it's source of power. "You can do that with seals too." Yasashii said with a smile, looking up at Shinji. Then, pointing to his no longer flaming sword, he gestured for the boy to bring it over to the desk. "May I?" If he could test something on the sword, he could see just how it could best be, upgraded. The boy's basic idea sounded easily doable, but there was undoubtedly more that could be done with it. ~ [Chakra: 120/125]

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || At first, when Yasashi's expression changed to a serious one, Shinji thought that perhaps he had angered the shop-keep by igniting a fire in his shop. Again, Shinji realized too late that such a movement could be thought to be an attack, but the worry changed to confusion as the man said nothing and simply grabbed a sheet of paper and began drawing on it with a brush. As he watched the seal take form, Shinji could only marvel at the intricate detail required, but then began to wonder what exactly that seal would do... "Is he drawing up the seal I asked for?"
His internal question was soon answered as Yasashi finished the seal and then placed his finger on it, seemingly activating it. Immediately, the flames around his sword were sucked away from the blade, moving into the seal the man had created as it absorbed all of the flame before the piece of paper burned into nothingness. Amazed by the seal's ability, Shinji kept the properties of that seal in mind and gave the man a wide grin... "Nice trick... " Shinji wondered if that seal could absorb any amount of fire nearby, but the followup question would have to wait for later, as Yasashi was asking to see Forza.
Shinji was a little reluctant at first, his eyes narrowing and staring at the man as if he were seriously considering not giving him his precious weapon for fear that something might happen to it. But, considering Shinji had asked for a specific seal for his weapon, it would be silly to deny him the source of what he wanted the seal for. Dropping his defenses and trusting the man, Shinji lowered his sword and walked over to the man's desk, placing the blade down on it so he could examine it and see if what Shinji asked for was possible. Nomiya Yasashii~ Yasashii was slightly surprised by the reluctance shown by the boy before him to bring his weapon forward, even after asking if modifications were possible. The reluctance was explained moments later however when he set the sword down and spoke of a journey to find it. Yasa looked up at that, surprised even more by the determination it must have taken for one so young to spend that long searching for a sword. But what was even stranger was... "Your people?" Yasashii asked, curiosity etched into his voice. That was a term rarely used anymore. He could assume it was referring to Iwagakure, as he'd heard rumors the village had been destroyed, and the boy was wearing their symbol, but it didn't click quite right. "Don't worry about your sword. I won't do anything permanent until we know it will work." Yasashii spoke reassuringly before the boy could answer his previous question. With that he turned to the sword, pulling it a bit closer to him and running his fingers across it, muttering under his breath as he went. He was still waiting for Shinji's response to his earlier question, but he'd do his job too. Most people would likely be confused as to why he was running his fingers across the blade, and rightfully so at that. But then, he wasn't most people. Most people would hold this blade and never know what it could do if they weren't told. But after years of working with inanimate objects that just so happened to absorb chakra, he could feel the ever so slight pull the sword made on his supply. It wanted his chakra, to fuel itself. The pull wasn't strong enough to rob him of it, but if he relaxed and let any slip, he was sure it would be yanked straight into the blade. Perfect. Grabbing up his brush again, Yasashii dipped it into the ink again, before touching it to the blade itself, smoothly drawing across the metal surface. First, a battery seal on the blade itself, near the hilt, and he dipped into the ink again. Next came a small seal that to anyone else might have been just a few squiggly lines. A link. And last, with one more dip into the ink, he carefully drew a trigger seal on the cloth wrapped hilt. Setting his brush aside, Yasashii placed one finger on the now dry battery seal he had drawn first, channeling a small bit of his own chakra into it. Lightning, since that was usually the most interesting for weapon enhancements. With that done, he slid the sword back towards the boy before him, pointing at the little black spot he'd made on the handle, the trigger seal. "Channel a bit of chakra into that seal instead of the sword itself. If what you want is possible, that should show us." he said, smiling up at the boy again, slightly mischievous this time. It was always fun to experiment with new things. And if this did work, he had a feeling he'd have both a regular customer, and, possibly, a new friend in a village where he knew noone. ~ [Chakra: 115/125]Edit: Seal contains five points, since I believe your sword uses C ranked amounts. And since the system actually has no price on any of the seals used, I'd say pay one point for the trigger, just to be fair.

It is not all that uncommon for a young boy of thirteen to embark on a journey of their own and it does a lot to help us link up with and meet others of our bloodline. I consider the sword a relic of my people because it was constructed of a material specifically designed to channel our, shall we say, unique chakra."
Having thoroughly explained himself, Shinji kept the remainder of the details of himself and his bloodline to himself for the time being as he watched Yasashi's brush strokes with interest. Having no clue what was being drawn, Shinji could still marvel at the intricacy of it all and watched silently as Yasashi finished the seal and then seemed to touch one of them for a little bit of time for some reason. When the blade was handed back to him, Shinji took it in hand, placing his hand over the seal specifically. Stepping back away from the desk, Shinji channeled a very small bit of chakra into the seal, when the series of seals suddenly lit up with bright light, activating his blade's ability. Immediately, Forza was filled with an electric current which surged and crackled across the entire blade.
Well pleased with the result of the seal, Shinji's smile grew immensely and he looked over to Yasashi with excitement. "Well, Mr. Yasashi... I think I just found my new best friend. Please tell me there is a way to make it so that I can channel any element I want through my blade at anytime I wish. Also, you never answered my earlier question... would it be possible to get tattoos of seals in order to reinforce barriers, or utilize other sealing effects just by placing my hands up against things?"
Shinji's excitement was growing and he could already envision himself covered with intricate and artistic tattoos that greatly enhanced his combat ability. Sure, maybe he was getting a bit ahead of himself, but this new prospect was incredible and it seemed that Mr. Yasashi was quite the expert at making Shinji's desires turn into realities. Swinging his blade harmlessly to the ground, an arc of lightning fired off of the weapon and harmlessly dissipated, making the blade safe to touch once more. He then offered the blade to Yasashi in case he wanted to take it again... "You've opened my eyes to a whole new world... and as a Konaga, I can't wait to explore it."[Chakra Reserves: 31 / ∞] [Stamina : 71/85]

Nomiya Yasashii~ Shiji's revelation of his identity stunned Yasashii far more than it should have. A glance up from the sword, as he was still working on it at the time, to look at the boy again revealed what he should have noticed the moment he stepped through the door. Konaga Shinji, supposed "Victor" of the previous chuunin exams, and only entrant from Iwagakure. Had he really been so preoccupied with his new shop that he'd missed something he would normally have picked up on in an instant? Shaking his head, he resolved to be more aware of his surroundings, as he usually was, and returned to work on the blade. Any reaction to the presence of a real Konaga, intriguing though it was, could wait until business was done with. Soon enough, as the seal was finished and the blade returned to Shinji, Yasashii watched with interest as the boy lifted it, and soon enough, the seal was activated, and the blade arced with electricity. A stunning display to be sure, but only more so as it revealed that yes, the boy's idea was possible. Yasashii smiled humorously at Shinji's immediate reaction. Was he referring to the upgraded sword, or Yasashii himself as his new best friend? And then there was the train of questions again, and soon enough the blade was lying on the desk in front of him, ready and waiting for more upgrades. After a quick visual scan of the blade though, Yasashii leaned back in his chair, looking at Shinji instead of the sword. He would deal with the questions first. "One thing at a time, please." he spoke up, still smiling as if he was about to laugh, and holding up one hand. "For your question on touching things to reinforce them... No. A seal has to be applied directly to the surface of the object it's affecting. There are various ways of bypassing that, but none that anyone but a skilled sealing master could perform." That much was true. The only method he could think of offhand was to carve a reverse seal in your hand, and use the blood from the wound to mark the seal. But that wasn't exactly what Shinji was asking for, and would be rather gruesome as well. "There is a legend, though it's most likely only known to sealing specialists, of masters of the art who have attained the ability to place seals with only a touch of their hands. But, beyond being simply a legend, you would have to be a sealing master to even try it." Yasashii shrugged his shoulders apologetically at that revelation. It was rather amusing to him to speak of it as a legend still, though it was, when he had that ability himself. But that was one secret he wouldn't be telling. Looking down at the blade again, the man allowed a frown to cross his face as he ran his fingers across the area he had drawn the tester seal. The metal was completely blank, unmarred, the electricity having burned up the ink. An ink based seal would never do the job. "I can't give you the ability to channel all the elements, but I can put battery seals on the sword. All you have to do then is find someone with the right element to charge it up." he answered the last question, still looking at the blade. "I won't be able to make a permanent seal with ink though." he said, now tapping the blade where he had drawn, to drawn Shinji's attention to the blank metal. "If I did, it would be burned off the second you used lightning, or fire like earlier. It would have to be engraved to be permanent." Done speaking, Yasashii looked up to Shinji again, as if seeking confirmation that the boy would accept the engraving option. He had after all been worried about permanent damage to the sword, and this would definitely be permanent. And in some respects, also damaging. ~ [Chakra: 115/125]

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || "Hmmm..." Shinji seemed a bit disappointed that he would not be able to get a tattoo of seals and fortify structures with only a touch. Scratching his chin, Shinji thought to himself how that fortify seal might still be usable as he listened to Yasashi ramble on about something he himself would never be able to do, thoroughly convinced that even Yasashi wouldn't be able to accomplish such things the way he was describing it. "Well, you've certainly displayed some incredible talent on your own... I'm sure that one day you'll be able to unlock that legendary status for yourself. You just have to keep working at it."
Shinji's words would no doubt amuse Yasashi in their innocence and simplicity, but Shinji was rather seriously trying to encourage the man to pursue his dreams and master his craft. As the man looked down at the blade again and examined the blade, Shinji wondered perhaps if the seal was only a one-shot deal once he noticed as Yasashi did that the ink was no longer present on the blade. His heart sinking a bit at the thought that this idea might fizzle out as his last one did, it was just as quickly encouraged as Yasashi began to mention the possibility of a more permanent seal. when he heard the word engraving however, he got rather concerned and looked at the man questioningly...
"So engraving is the only way then?" Looking rather worried, Shinji let out a small sigh as he pondered what it would mean to engrave a seal into the blade and he wondered just how deep the seals would have to go... and if it would effect the strength and durability of his blade. After some careful consideration, Shinji seemed cautious, but still rather determined to see if the engraving could be doen without sacrificing too much to the blade... "So, would the engraving weaken the blade at all? Would it be less durable after the engraving was finished? I've already told you my history with Forza... if a modification were to jeopardize the blade's integrity and allow it to break, I would never forgive myself."
Shinji waited quietly for Yasashi's response and hoped above all else that the man would say that the blade's integrity would not be damaged at all. He had already imagined the blade's evolution as the next step in his combat ability's growth and had great hopes that the addition of the seals would still be possible.[Chakra Reserves: 31 / ∞] [Stamina : 70/85]

Nomiya Yasashii~ "I don't do flattery discounts." Yasashii chuckled at Shinji's proclamation that he might attain legendary status. And he truly did find it amusing that the boy saw the simple testing array he had thrown together as "Incredible talent". The only difficult part of that had been originally learning the seals, as they were a type more complicated than a non-specialist could understand. Looking back down at the sword at Shinji's worry of weakening the blade, Yasashii rapped his knuckles on the metal, tracing a line along the areas he would most likely make the carvings. It was made of good strong metal, chakra conductive steel if he didn't miss his guess, since there didn't seem to be any trace of already present seals to give it it's abilities, and truly, if there had been, his test would not have worked. It had obviously been designed by a skilled blacksmith, and though he himself was not trained in that area, he felt it would easily withstand the addition. "This blade is strong. The metal is hard, but not brittle, soft enough to compensate for the grooves an engraving would make." he spoke, ceasing his tapping of the blade as he finished. "A seal engraving won't be much different from decorative carvings you might see on some weapons. It's a common practice, and shouldn't harm the blade's integrity at all. If you are concerned though, I can add a Kyouka seal into the array, which will make the sword more stable than it is now." he finished speaking, looking up at Shinji again to see if his reassurances helped, and if he would want to continue. If he did, the next step would be hashing out just how to design the final array. He would also need to acquire a scroll on the engraving technique, since he didn't want to try carving complex seals into a sword with a senbon. It was a shame he hadn't been able to get information on that jutsu's finer workings back in Kariko, but now he was in a ninja village. Surely they had more sealing information than even his private library had held. ~ [Chakra: 115/125]
