The Sunagakure marketplace is a true bazaar. Several long streets conjoin with a large plaza in the center to make up the market sector. The streets are lined with many small shops selling countless wares, and the plaza itself holds hundreds of temporary market stalls set up by traveling merchants to sell their wares in town. The entire sector is busy from dawn, when the stall owners begin to move in, to dusk, when they finally begin to pack up their wares. At night the plaza is nearly empty, for fear of thieves. Nearly anything you could wish to buy can be found here, be it in a permanent shop, or a day stand.

Sand Weights - Weights come in varying poundage and shapes, for use on any body part. 100 pounds equals one unit of sand.

Sand Gourd - Gourds are used by Sunaton users to haul large amounts of sand with them when leaving the desert. They can also be used to hold water for suiton users. Like weights, gourds come in multiple sizes. Gourd shapes can be customized at purchase to ensure user comfort. One unit of sand is equal to 100 pounds. Without strength training, it is not recommended to take a gourd larger than you can handle.
Small - 15 - A small gourd holds a single unit of sand. A container space totaling one cubic foot.
Medium - 100 - The medium size gourd holds eight units. (2x2x2 feet)
Average - 150 - An average gourd holds sixteen units. (2x2x4)
Large - 200 - The large gourd holds up to 27 units. (3x3x3)

Light Training Dummy: 250 – The Light Training dummy increases your training area's bonus by one. It will break with ten uses. Medium Training Dummy: 500 – The Medium Training dummy is slightly stronger than the light, lasting for twenty uses.
Heavy Training Dummy: 1,000 – The Heavy Training dummy is outfitted with armor, so that it can stand up to much more punishment. It lasts for forty uses.
Weapon Rack: 150 – A wooden rack capable of holding up to ten weapons, perfect for a dojo or showroom.
Chest: 200 - A large wooden chest for storing belongings. Comes with a basic lock.
Strongbox: 400 – A metal box for holding valuables. Has a complicated locking mechanism to deter thieves. (+3 posts to unlock if using the unlocking technique.)
Coffer: 1,000 – A large metal chest for storing your vast wealth. Equipped with three locks, all of high quality. (+5 posts per lock. If using the jutsu. Can only unlock one per real life day[24 hours].)
Household Furnishings: 50 – Tables, chairs, desks, common household niceties that you'd like to have.

 Nomiya Yasashii~ It was several hours before Yasashii awoke, stiff from sleeping on the hard wood of his wagon, but well rested from his long hard trip getting to the village. Getting up, he quickly went about his usual morning rituals, using traveling supplies contained in his cart to clean up, and trading his mangled suit from his battle on the trip for a fresh one from his supplies. Now cleaned up and presentable, Yasashii spent the next several hours bartering with the merchants and shoppers in the area. His horse, though he was sad to see it go, went quickly, in trade for a respectable sum of money. The massive supply of sake he had brought from Kariko also went quickly, the entire supply bought up by the owner of a local bar after Yasashii allowed him a sample bottle. His cart soon went too, purchased by a family moving out of town to carry their belongings with them, leaving Yasashii with only the clothes on his back, his personal effects, and basic survival supplies. Food, water, a change of clothes, a a nice large sack of money. He was sure he had enough now to buy an acceptable building to base himself in. Walking the market now, he did some shopping of his own. First, he purchased a small strongbox for his money, dropping his entire savings into it, and biting his thumb, he drew a seal on the lock in his own blood, that would reinforce the lock even further, making it impossible to open for anyone but himself. With the strongbox under his arm, he moved on, picking up a pair of senbon at a convenient weapons dealer, and smiling simply at the odd looks he received for it. The next shop he visited was one dedicated to his trade, and received much more perusal. In the end, he picked up fifty sheets of sealing paper, one hundred plain, and fifteen vials of ink, plenty to get him started on opening his own shop. On the way out the door of the shop, he also grabbed a single blank scroll, and etched storage seals into it, storing away most of his purchases before shoving the scroll, along with the two senbon into a pocket. Leaving the shop, he made his way back out of the market, headed towards the most official looking building he could see. The kazekage tower no doubt. It was there he would apply for a license to perform his art in the village. Professionally anyways.   | Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile ||Running past the various cloaked figures in the streets on his way to the Marketplace, Shinji was suddenly struck by how much he stuck out against the rest of the crowds. Not only was he carrying two large weapons in open sight, but he was dressed incredibly uniquely. Whereas most everyone else wore long cloaks with distinctive Sunagakure neck wrapping which could double as hoods or scarves to protect from the wind, his attire was nothing like that and it made him stick out. Not afraid to be different however, Shinji paid no head to the sudden revelation and continued on past Yasashi's shop to the main marketplace of the Sunagakure.
Looking around at the various shops, Shinji found this area much more densely populated then the streets and it made the entire area look chaotic, like a bazaar. Food was being sold on the streets, tents were set up in various areas, people were haggling in the streets and others were just sitting around and talking. Scanning the area, Shinji waded into the crowd, keeping an eye out for a ninja supply store, which he found after a few minutes of moving around and poking his head above the crowd. With a flap of thick hideskin acting as the 'door', Shinji brushed it aside and moved into the shop, looking around at the wares.
"Can I help you young man?", Shinji turned to see a man behind a small counter, likely the proprietor of the store who smiled at him kindly, which Shinji returned with a smile of his own... "Yes, well... I hope you can." Walking up to the counter, Shinji started to look around the store, but also continued to talk to the man... "i'm running an errand for a friend of mine who spends a lot of time creating sealing techniques who opened his own store just recently, not to far away. He said he needed a 'marker', but I have no idea what that is. he said something about needing it to draw accurately on a sword.
Stroking his chin for a second, the man's face suddenly lit up as he realized that he knew both what and who Shinji was talking about... "Ahhh... let me guess, a thin gentlemen, with black hair. He came by earlier and bought large amount of sealing papers, ink, and other paraphernalia... I'm sure it's the same gentlemen. Well, if I had these in when he was here, I certainly would have recommended it, but I just got these in recently. It's a brand new product design... ingenious really... it's like an ink and quill pen all in one, but it has this piece of sponge instead of the quill. It's perfect for writing on surfaces with great accuracy... no random splotches or drips like you get with a brush or quill."
Moving into a back room, the man arrived a minute later witha small box, taking one of the markers out and handing it to Shinji. Inspecting it, it looked pretty compact and he could see why it would be ideal for Yasashi's use. "Yeah, this sounds right up his ally. How much is it?"... "That'll be 10 gold per marker." ... "Alrigth then..." Shinji said digging into his gold pouch, "I'll take two... I figure he'll use these a lot." Handing the man the money, it was counted and placed in a strong box and the man thanked him, bowing politely, which Shinji did in return before exiting the store quickly. Making his way back through the crowd, Shinji was excited to get back to Yasashi's and finally get his weapon upgraded.

Raphael walked briskly into the market place looking around slowly. " I need one marker, and one ink vial. Hopefully they aren't as annoying as a brush. Always cleaning those things is simply annoying. Walking into a scroll shop, Raphael looked at the selection quickly smiling. " Oh, good. they have some markers, and some ink vials. " Raphael thought, grabbing one of each, then making his way to the counter. " That'll be 12 gold. " The man on the other side of the counter said looking up from the paper he was reading. " You know, you're the second person I've had today that bought these markers. " The man said, looking back at his paper and holding out his hand for the gold. Raphael took the gold out of his pouch and dropped it into the man's hand. " Really? Any idea who the other was? " Raphael said, looking inquisitive. He had heard of a sealing shop opening. It was very much new to the village, and it intrigued him. Sealing wasn't a common art among the ninja of Sunagakure. It was a highly recognized art, it just wasn't very common. Learning the theory behind it required quite a bit of time and effort. Not to mention those who devoted exorbitant amounts of time on the art were considered insane as their art bordered manipulation space and time. It was certainly stressful, but it was an exciting field.
" Erm... Are you okay boy? " The man said, his eyes slightly worried as Raphael had spaced out going into his thoughts to silently monologue his thoughts on the art of sealing. Raphael shook his head slightly and looked up to the man. " Oh, I'm sorry. Lost in thought, have a slight idea for a seal that allows for a nearly perfect henge. " He said laughing lightly. " Well... Okay. As I said before, The boy was white haired and slightly jumpy. He was running errands for some skinny raven haired man. Bought a large amount of items. I think he set up a shop or something. Going to be good for my business if you ask me. " The man said smiling from ear to ear and sitting back in his seat. " Oh, could I also buy some of this sealing paper? " Raphael said, plucking eight sealing papers out of a little box at the counter. ' Marketing plows are so helpful sometimes. ' Raphael thought smiling as he took out the eight more gold and dropped it on the counter. " Also, thank you very much for your service, and the information. " Raphael said bowing lightly to the man before exiting. ∱Information∱

Raphael walked into the marketplace looking around lightly. ' Okay, so how am I supposed to draw out this pick pocket... ' He thought, the answer immediately coming to him. " Henge. " He said, making a single hand sign. His form shifted to that of a large wealthy merchant, with a large satchel of gold attached to his right hip. " Oh ho ho ho! " He said, patting his large belly and waddling into the marketplace. ' Let's see, the papers said that the pickpocket was striking around the central area. Busiest place, this person has got to be fairly skilled, there is at least one ANBU observing once every hour. I wonder if they know the ANBU schedule. ' Raphael thought smiling widely. ' Ugh, I hate this form, but it is the most appealing to a pickpocket I guess. ' He thought chuckling. He stopped and looked around smiling at people left and right, simulating an overly friendly foreigner. " Oh, this place is a wonderful jewel in the desert! I wish that I'd have come much sooner! " Raphael said with a thick accent. He wasn't sure where it was from, but it shouldn't be a problem later. He could always make something up. He thought the accent sounded like it was somewhere from the border of the Land of Fire and the Land of Waves. ∱Information∱

" Oh, the shops here are just enchanting! " Raphael said, his eyes gleaming with want for several of the every day items from Sunagakure. ' How do people enjoy these things? I mean that is simply to keep sand from giving you a rash... ' Raphael thought as he asked a vendor about some ointment that everyone in Sunagakure would have on their person, at this exact moment. Raphael hated tourists to this city. Who in their right mind would travel to the middle of a desert to see a village. It wasn't even in it's prime, but hopefully Raphael could aid in it going well past it's prime, possibly creating a utopia. No, that was a stupid idea, making a utopia? That in itself was impossible. Then again, people also thought that ripping a dimension in space and time to hold an item was impossible, but the technique was on a scroll currently in Raphael's possession. Maybe it wouldn't achieve a utopian status during his lifetime, but he'd be amazingly proud if it did. Raphael smiled and looked at some more trinkets. ' I might have to throw some money around. ' Raphael though, a giant grin on his face.

" This is absolutely darling! " Raphael said, picking up an expensive looking item. Anyone who had lived there for any amount of time could easily tell you it was just carved sandstone, it was rough, and uncomfortable to wear, but foreigners ate it up like it was made of solid gold. Something about how it seemed so barbaric and how it must be absolutely connected deeply in the origins of Sunagakure. No, it's just compressed sand that is solid and like a rock. Nothing special about that, heck, the walls of the buildings were made of it, and we could simply repair them with the sand on the wind. ' I really hope I'm not over doing it. At least no one can recognize me like this. Unless they've got a dog or a snake or something that goes off of scent. ' Raphael thought, chuckling to himself. He tried the necklace on, and twirled around a bit, looking at the owner. " Does this necklace make me look more seasoned and well versed? " He said, staring at the man. " Erm... Sure, yes! You look like you've traveled the world a thousand times over! You look like you've had great talks with the sages of our time, and of all times! You look more wise and powerful than even the Kage of your country! " The man said, rubbing his hands together. Raphael took some coins out of his pouch, careful not to let anyone see into it. He tossed twenty gold on the mat and chuckled. " There, that should cover it! " He said happily, patting his stomach. " On to the next one! " He said, waddling along to the next vendor and looking at the items she had to offer. ∱Information∱

Raphael giggled lightly as he looked at more of the things he could buy along the streets of the village. " I wonder if there is a place where I could buy some meat for a feast. " He said, patting his stomach and giggling even more. ' Ugh, the things I do in order to complete my mission. ' Raphael thought as he walked into the food area of the market place.there wasn't much that was large unless you wanted some lizard, but Raphael had always had an aversion to that. " Oh goody! " Raphael said, turning to see the strips of beef hanging in one of the shops. Beef strips were rare around the desert. Not amazingly rare, since when they came in they were somewhat cheap, but they were more of a seasonal item. " I'll take two strips of beef. " He said, taking out five gold for each and giggling as the man handed him the meat. ' At least I don't have to eat a giant lizard today. ' Raphael thought breathing a sigh of relief. ∱Information∱

Raphael quickly downed the two large strips of beef, taking the canteen off of his hip that had been reshaped to look like a saki gourd. " Ahh! That hit the spot! " Raphael said, laughing lightly, he focused a bit and began to blush lightly, giving the impression that he was tipsy. " I wonder what else is around here. " He said, stumbling off into the main area of the market place. He remained silent the rest of the time, but looked around and stood still, however when moving from place to place he stumbled and drank more of his water, making himself turn brighter and brighter red. After a couple of minutes of stumbling around and smiling at complete strangers he stopped and looked around. ∱Information∱

 Matthew strolled back into the central marketplace, a cheery smile on his face that seemed to brighten everyone's day as they walked past him. A valuable talent for a thief who had gotten away from robbing Sunagakure blind for the past week. He couldn't believe how clueless these people could be! A big smile, a flash of his cloak, and a quick step in the other direction, and the theft wouldn't even be reported until he was halfway to his home- that is, the row house he could call his home. The thief scanned the crowd looking for his next easy target. It didn't take long until matthew spotted the fat, drunken noble stumbling amongst the crowd. The man had baubles hanging from his neck, a heavy purse literally dangling from his side, and the redness of his face indicated the alcohol missing from his sake gourd. With the overly ridiculous antics, he had to wonder if this man was performing some kind of act, or if he was really that clueless. Matthew shook the thoughts away. Even if it was some sort of act, that purse was simply too good to pass up. Matthew had done this a dozen times already: He strolled past the man, a wide smile on his face for all to see. With a wave of his hand, his cloak buffeted, the result of a small Futon ninjutsu, coveing the coin purse for a mere second. The second was all he needed, as he pulled out his knife, cut the purse off the man's belt, and walked away, in the time it took for gravity to act on his cloak and bring it back to his side. With a smug, self-satisfied grin, Matthew continued on his way, not even bothering to check the bag's contents.

Raphael smiled to himself as the youth who walked up to him smiled at him and used his cloak as a diversion to cut the while light sack of gold from his side, it still was a noticeable difference. Turning quickly as if he had been bumped, Raphael smiled, his face returning to a normal color. His eyes returning to their normal glare of sorts.
" Oh, sir! I think you've been caught. " Raphael said as he poofed into a cloud of smoke and emerged in his normal military attire, the sandstone necklace still around his neck. " I'd like you to remain still while I apprehend you, or you could make this difficult and have me carve you. " He said shooting directly to the man's back. Rapahel wasn't stupid, he knew the man had a knife, there had been almost no tug as if the man had untied the string, it was simply a small difference, then no weight. Raphael himself drew a Kunai in order to counter an attack as he placed his left hand directly on the man's upper arm, just below the shoulder. Raphael was quick, probably quicker than this man. One thing for sure though, he was much smarter. He had spent years training, and he wasn't going to be out done by a charismatic thief. His right hand held onto his kunai, however it was behind his back so as to not allow for a peripheral view should the man twist around. ∱Information∱

The smile and color quickly drained from matthew's face at the realization of being caught. How on earth could he be so stupid, falling for such an act like that one? The crowded marketplace was still bustling with people going their own way, but some had begun to give the pair strange looks, especially when smoke began to disperse from behind matthew in what he assumed was the canceling of a henge. The thief weighed his options: Go to jail, fight off this man, or run... Matthew spun around, immediately striking the man's left underarm with his fist, to stun the man enough to remove his arm. Afterwards, he wasted no time in bolting through the crowd, knocking people over in the process. Truth be told, he had not really perfected any sort of escape plan, seeing as his purse-snatching had always worked in the past. Instead, the man just ran away from the marketplace, hoping that he could be lost in the crowd before his would-be captor apprehended him again.

Raphael quickly released as soon as the man turned around, narrowly dodging his punch upwards to his under arm. Raphael smiled as the man attempted to run. " I wouldn't do that. " Raphael said, easily following the man. " Your garb is easily discerned from everyone else, not to mention your high charisma allows for easy memorization of your facial features. " Raphael said, smiling as he caught up to Matthew quickly, running to his back. " Not to mention the more you resist, the easier you'll be to spot from the other shinobi of the village. Who knows, I might not be the only person on the mission of bringing you in. " Raphael said smirking his normal smirk. " So please, come in quietly and without any more fight and I'll attempt to get you off simply by conscripting you into the shinobi forces, you've got skill, and it would be nice to capitalize on it. If you don't comply, I'll carve you up even more so. " Raphael said taking his Kunai and thrusting it directly at the small of Matthew's back. It wouldn't kill him, or paralyze him. It would however hurt horribly, hopefully making him stop his struggle. ∱Information∱

Matthew couldn't believe it: this guy was faster than he was? True, he was in the middle of a crowd of people slowing him down, but Matthew was a skilled thief, and one of the talents of such thieves is the ability to run. Though obviously that was not the case, so he had to improvise. In the middle of his run, matthew grabbed a nearby patron, spinning him around, and tossing him into his assailant. It was at this moment that matthew noticed the kunai in his hand, ready to stab. Were Matthew aware of this beforehand, he wouldn't have used a civilian in his escape, but there was not time to take back his actions. All he could do is turn around and run while the two crashed into each other. (Resorting to stabs in the middle of a crowded marketplace?)

Raphael spun his kunai quickly, not pausing as he ran into the civilian placing his free hand on the civilian's free shoulder he pushed hard, causing the civilian to get out of his way. Raphael jumped lightly as the civilian's legs were still in the way. ' Crap, I'm a bit behind now. ' Raphael thought as he shot after the thief. " Sorry about that. " He said, curing himself for not being faster. ' I should have learned some sort of relevant technique. " He said, shaking his head as he plowed forward.
Raphael sighed as the thief ran through more dense groups of people. Raphael followed, but shot from less dense area to less dense area, keeping pace with the thief. He smiled as he neared the thief's side. Raphael lunged at Matthew, aiming for his torso. He was close enough that using another civilian wasn't an option. Hopefully this would be the end of this. Raphael didn't have much to work with. He didn't have outstanding power, his reaction speed was only that of a chunin, and he had only sparring practice with his own family. ∱Information∱
