"New" Members ~Blue is looking to help out peeps who want to join the pride, but don't have anyone to use for it. If you have a custom in the Major Customs Month thread that's intended for the pride, a breeding in the CC breeding thread, or just want in on the action,
then post it here!There are no limits to who can apply for help and don't be discouraged if you don't have the gold. There are people in the pride who would be more than happy to help out just to see more members and activity!
There is no guarantee on what form the help will take… Customs may be picked or may be funded, same with breedings. Those who want in but don't have a custom idea may get a random colored SoA or may get a cub from a breeding. This is not a guarantee that everyone will be helped out, but those who can help will be looking to do as much as they can.
Also! Members can be new OR EXISTING, as we're assuming a bunch of NPC lions anyway. They will still need a joining rp, but it can be assumed that they were born into the pride at some time in the past and the rp doesn't have to be about joining, it can be just everyday interaction. If you choose this route, however, make sure you read up on the pride and it's history, since your lion will be expected to know that already.
Please include in your post if you will need help paying for what you want! That way, we know who needs help in the form of funding.

In response to the threat posed by the Chokwe and the Mwana's own dwindling numbers, the King has been encouraging the pride to capture cubs and new blood binders (or recruit new adult members). 'Raiding Parties' are being formed and sent out on a rotating basis to capture whatever they can and bring it back to the pride. To facilitate this, the ritual that allows a Mwana to travel under the sun is being performed on each party that leaves.
This basicly means that groups of three or more are allowed to be out in the sun if they cover themselves with the skins of other animals and get the blessing of the Vervartae. (ala Halloween style!) This new blessing lasts for as long as the skin that is blessed, rather than the traditional one day.
A blessing/reward will be given to every member that brings back something, and there is potential for prizes or promotions for people who participate.
In particular: Item sets!
Thalion and Blue have decided to give away item edits to participating members of the Mwana who rp being part of a raiding party. To qualifty, you must complete one full rp with another SoA outside of the Mwana lands. One rp will net you a skin for one of your Mwana members to wear that has been blessed by the new Vervartae and allows them to be out in the sun when they wear it. These skins will be CC in design, but feel free to specify if there is something you really, really don't want.
Thalion has also offered fang edits for Mwana members that participate, and randomly throughout the event, will roll for a lucky member to receive expression/hair edits! More info on that to come.
Five rps will earn you a
fully custom item set, though the base of this must be an animal skin, as that's part of the mythos of the blessing.
If anyone should be crazy enough to pump out ten rps by the end of this mini-event, they'll net themselves a fully custom SoA, to join either side of the conflict! (colored by Blue, limit one per customer)
Special notes:
- Each rp must fulfill breeding requirements. aka 1000 words or five posts per participant.
- The rp must be between two characters, even if its an SRP. An SRP still only counts as one rp for this event.
- Chokwe members and rogues can participate by getting an rp with a Mwana member. (if finding a partner gets difficult, speak with Blue or Thal and we'll work something out)
- RPs do not have to end with a sucessful capture! We're not expecting everyone to come home with something, that would be ridiculous. There may be a bonus for anyone who does get someone to join, though.
- To count, the rp must be started and completed between the 1st of October and the 30th of November.
- This event runs through the end of November. (its a halloween event, but got off the ground kinda late)
