Although it was only just past noon, the awaiting body lay still for the coming presence it knew would arrive. The name of it's lover whispered off its lips as it slept soundly through the day after a good nights work.

After sleeping in for the past few days and staying up late to pack, unpack, sell, and relocate the few prized possessions that were to be shared and adorned with his forever knight.. his lover. Haikimaru. He waited five years sense they met again by chance at a festival in their homeland. But now it was time for each to become them. He could admit now that he was feeling a bit queasy, maybe a bit nervous even about what was to come.. He was settling down. Something that he had never done in his entire life. The male was worried he'd do something wrong, something like now. His job as a massage therapist didn't go to well. He couldn't find an open job to place his carrier on. He'd work at a hospital or try to get his own place to rent for a while, but he'd loose money before he could buy the place, or get transfered due to a job-overtaking. But things were looking up, he had a job interview in three days at a local spa, and he was going to be with Haiki all weekend until then.. right??

He wore a light purple-T and gray pants. The studded rainbow-belt glinted from underneath his shirt, and the silver ipod in his pocket shined, reading off "The Song of Storms" from Legend of Zelda that blasted softly through the large green skull-candy headphones around his neck. The music then silenced, switching to "Colors of the Rainbow" by the Italobrothers. As the boy stretched his arms up, hanging loosely over the side of the bed. His body limp as he lay on his back, head to the side, eyes closed in light sleep.

The apartment was empty, the space taken up in the corners of the room and edges of the bed was mostly made up of boxes and bags. Although there was a desk and charging laptop in the corner nearest the window.
[i don't really wanna describe before we agree with something ^=^'' ]

The cool afternoon breeze wafted in from the open window. Carrying scents smoothly across the air to the nose of a sleeping individual.

The boy's wide forest-green eyes opened with a start, his entire being jolting upright to stare lazily out the window. "Haikimaru?" A small smile danced across his lips as he jumped up to the long flowing curtains crowning the simple apartment's window sill. His bare feet on the open floor as he leaned out as far as he could without falling out as he stood on his tip toes. He couldn't help but beam as he began searching through the bright lights from outside, his eyes adjusting to the sunlight as he scanned around. Was he mistaken? He squinted to get a better view. He knew he'd spot him unless his knight evaded his gaze and made it inside before Mitsuko had a chance to see him. The small kitsunes leg lifted as he dared lean out further on his braced arms from the open window.

Haikimaru had to take, what seemed like all day, to get home. He had let Mitsuko start the work and all weekend they would be moving in. It was a step by step thing. He cared a bag full of companies who were looking for models to show off their collections and it was clear that they wanted Haiki, but he probably wasn't going to act on them. Some of them were a half-a** chance in hopes that they would get him. Haiki's ears picked up Mitsuko's voice and he smiled faintly.
The warm weather started to get him to look up along with the voice of his lover. He didn't know how nice the day was until Mitsuko called for him. There was a spring in his step now as if he was dancing. He continued on his journey home. He walked up to his home that he now shared with his lover. He opened the door and took off his shoes. "Honey I'm home." He called out with a little glee in his voice.

The door the opened at once, startled and almost falling clear out the window, the small male quickly regained his balance and bolted for the stairs. Rushing too fast and tripping himself halfway down the flight, barely missing a pile of boxes he'd been working on getting upstairs, before taking a chance, leaping out of the way of danger and twisted anckles and into the arms he knew were there. "Haiki!" the kitsune spouted, mainly out of panic as he fell towards his destination, yet out of happiness that his mate had returned. His eyes were closed as he waited, suspended mid-air with his dark short hair flying back before the wall of mixed scents that surrounded his lover hit him with the full-force of each stench, every place, every step. He knew exactly where he'd been. It gave him comfort. His love was safe now. He could rest easier. "Welcome Home!" The boy nuzzled the tall man's side before drawing back, a bit embarrassed, but fumbling for the other's hand to help him in. He didn't want to feel disconnected, and felt this was his way of holding onto what was his and his alone now. The light flush on his face brightened in the light coming in from the door. The boy smiled, "How was Haikimaru's day at work?" He asked enthusiastically. He then turned a bit suddenly, before stopping on his thought of tea. He couldn't make any yet, he had yet to unpack it.. "Eh.. This one forgets mainly about unpacking.. I'll put the tea on!" He lightly squeezed Haiki's hand before hurrying to the kitchen to search through boxes. Following his nose to a tin can of tea bags, the espresso-&-tea maker(in one), and cups. Starting up the creation with electricity and filling it halfway with water and two bags of tea before closing it. He then set the cups on the counter, waiting for the timer to go off.

Brushing his bangs aside, the boy sighed. It was easier than how he use to make tea, and much faster.. but affective nonetheless.. and besides, he fairly enjoyed the brand.

Haikimaru was surprise and at these same time not so surprised when his lover came running then falling down the stairs. He always did his best to protect him. It seemed like Mitsuko was acting like a big puppy who almost waited at the door or came running when their master was home. As Mitsuko clung to his side the man could help but wrap a hand around the other. He was going to do anything it too to make this love of his happy, safe, and a good home. "Work was fine, if you mind having recruiters left and right trying to get you to work for them or do their designers shoot or runway show." He held up the bag of recruitment papers as he followed behind Mitsuko into the kitchen. Tea sounded nice after the day of work. There was only a few things in the apartment like a table and such. Haikimaru hadn't been there long enough before Mitsuko to decorate.

Haiki sat down at the table. "I also have a fan whom, I knew before meeting you, who asked me to be the father of her child. She's the type who needs an heir, but has no plans on getting married." Haiki was not going to make any more big choices without Mitsuko knowing first. The man looked up and watched his lovers back. "I'm only going to do it if you say yes or we can hold it off for a while and when you agree we can have our own child together through her." It was Mitsuko's choice. Because they were both male they couldn't have their own child together so being a sperm donor with rights was a possiblity.

The silver fur glinted off the light through the dusty window as the old fox slid aside the curtains, that needed to be changed, to get to the lock of a window over the sink. The slender tail swayed back and forth as the small male tried to calm his excitement by giving him something to do. In this case; getting a little more air in the house. He hadn't noticed it had escaped his pants, which housed a small hole in the back with a nicely half-stitched-on flap to cover it when it wasn't out. It was a useful invention seeing as his tail wouldn't be stuck uncomfortably in his pants like they'd frequently gotten during his years in school. He licked his bottom lip, then glanced down before turning away, satisfied with his "job." Taking out the small ipod he quickly turned it off before stashing it away in his pocket once more. His eyes wandering to Haiki when he spoke of work.. which sounded a bit like a mix of heaven and hell.

The second Haikimaru was finished speaking his arms wrapped around the other's shoulders. He let his fingers intertwine and rest ont he chest of the one who sat in one of the only chairs they had in the house, which seemed like enough for them in all things considering. He then rested his head on Haikimaru's left side, sticking his nose near the other kitsune's ear. Mitsuko's own wiggling on the top of his head under a mess of dark hair.

"Ignorant wolfish beings. They like crawling to this one's lover like ants on cake.." He half-joked, taking a little nibble on Haikimaru's ear, feeling a bit playful. No one could deny Mitsuko missed him every time he went to work. His restlessness and built-up emotions proved that. He still felt like an addict, ever sense they first became roommates. Their bitter-sweet relationship was never uninteresting, seeing as each side had its conflicting issues.

He nuzzled Haikimaru's neck, his ears going down as he listened patiently to what his lover had to say. ".. Do you really want to start a family so soon?" He asked, hoping to come to terms with his own uneasiness about the idea by speaking his mind. He'd never been to fond of children. They were cruel to him, loud, ignorant, and smelled of something sour or rotten half the time. Plus they drooled.

He had never felt the need to be a parent, but then he had never felt like there was anything missing in his life after he met Haikimaru. This was no different. Sure he was a bit curious about being responsible for another other than himself, but a child?.. definitely not on the top of his to-do list. But he didn't want to disappoint Haikimaru. Which wasn't odd. His smitten act towards his mate was no lie. Anything meant Anything, and no matter what that Anything was, he'd do it for him and him alone. But how Haikimaru said it bothered him.. Which always reminded him who he'd fallen in love with and his reputation. It infuriated him that if he wasn't here, hadn't met Haikimaru, he'd be off joyously ******** someone else. Be it many, or only one, The alternate universes without his existence in Haikimaru's life truly pissed him off. But he couldn't help who he'd fallen in love with.. At least he'd been looked down upon with a gentle eye and a kind, generous heart of a god.

[Oh yeah, is this going to be a more "American" house??(kinda seems like it).. I think they should have a summer home in the Japanese mountains or something thats more "oldish" but it has to be a surprise for one of them later xD ]

Haikimaru loved the silver fur that graced the little fox's ears and tail. It was his silver lining to his purple cloth. He could tell that this lover was jealous of the woman he hung around. Haiki did have plans on at least introducing Mitsuko to the models that he worked with the most one by one. Including two of them tonight. The kitsune hated Mitsuko not being with him and knowing the model half and it was about time he met the ones who could be his friend too. The man wrapped his arms around his lover.

"Yes they may be ants on the cake, but there is only one queen ant." He pointed out. He then moved away a bit only so he could give the smaller fox a kiss on the lips and then return to the position. "Don't worry about starting a family. I think of it as a choice down the road. For now I just want to be with you." He told his soulmate. "And I want you to be able to hang out with my friends so I invited a model to join us for dinner and she's bringing along someone important to her." Haiki told the mousy boy in his arms.

((Yes they may. I think it would make sense with Haiki being the way he is right?))

The small ears lifted up to Haikimaru's works, the boy's eyes lightening as he tried to unravel the meanings presented back to him, and to watch his love as he drew away. The simplest pleasure of being graced with a kiss after this moment made the kitsune smile, and he went to sit lightly on Haiki's lap. He straddled the larger male's lap, snatching another kiss before resting his arms over Haikimaru's shoulders again. He leaned in to lay in the comforting arms of his mate as he listened. His tail curling and uncurling behind him like a yo-yo. Turning his head to look up with a slight pout to his lips he asked "Just because I don't have friends of my own doesn't mean I have to steal yours! And what will they even think of the house? We're not even finished packing, let alone ready to have guests!.. Does this mean I have to make dinner?" with a slight sarcastic-depressed-sleepy/lazy tone. His voice mimicking that of a flustered girl, which wasn't much of a difference from his own voice, but a difference unexpected nonetheless.

Of course he was just trying to make Haikimaru smile, but Mitsuko couldn't help himself from actually thinking of ways to get everything finished without falling completely asleep afterwards.. What if he DID have to make dinner? He didn't know what these people were like, much less what they're stomachs were. Hunting down everything in boxes and going shopping for the meal and getting everything cooked and ready seemed like such a chore.. one he wasn't used to yet.. not that he'd ever really done it lately. But it would be a change of pace from store-bought ramen, curry, and american fast-food(Which wasn't too bad, but not at all settling in the long-run). He wanted to repaint the walls sometime too, he reminded himself. He'd have to bring that up with Haikimaru sometime later. Not only was the American fast food industry making his stomach nauseated; the bland colors on the walls weren't swinging well with him either.

Haikimaru chuckled at his male companion. Mitsuko was annoyed at him, but he was sure this was going to make it up when Haiki told him more details. "Tabby demanded that she come over here. It's hard to tell your modeling partner no. She told me that she'll bring over steambuns, miso, ramane, and mochi. She had been warned that the house is a mess." Haikimaru told his lover. The purple fur/hair kitsune was sure that the other had seen his modeling pictures of him with a pink haired human. They were the most common coupling that there was when he took pictures with women. It really wasn't as bad as Mitsuko had made it out to be. It was really a change of pace for both of them and it would be like a mini 'welcome Mistuko' party. Haiki would never try to make the man that he love fell used or unwanted.

The smaller kitsune felt it seemed like Haikimaru was sucking up to an old friend. The boy's bottom lip poked out as he stroked his "invisible beard" and stared questionably at his mate. He usually acted this way comically, in order to unleash and direct his energies so that they wouldn't get bottled up inside. He recalled the bad habit he had in High School and the first few years of collage. "What kind of miso? .." he asked jokingly before smiling, snuggling up against his Haikimaru.

–––––––––

Back upstairs from the open window came a head-over-wings youngster who fell straight into the sill, letting out an exasperated huff as the wind was knocked out of him temporarily. Scrambling up and over the wooden roadblock the small bundle of scales and fur fell. His tail and back legs visible out the top before thrashing around in the box in an attempt to get free, toppling it over before falling face-first out into the middle of the room. A large pile of boxes quickly following it, and a light flash across the dragon's body morphed it to that of a more graceful, slender creature. The neat column of cardboard was now a jumbled mess of clothes on the floor. But upon nosing it's way through the waves of cloth, came a little black nose, and a furry face after it. The bright yellow eyes of the cat hiding the inner innocence and cunning of a knowledgeable race. This was obviously to be the new residence of his master.. but where was he? The light scraping of paws on the wood flooring could be heard by anything, human or not, downstairs as he meandered around the room looking for clues. He circled the place his master had lain, and then back to the windowsill to investigate some more. His head peeking outside to look for his Mitsu-sama.

Haikimaru couldn't resist those eyes. It was like Mitsuko was like a big puppy that Haiki couldn't help but love at first sight. The purple kitsune really wanted his lover to have someone who he could call when he needed help and Haiki couldn't help him. "Tofu and leek." He answered his love. His ears picked up on something moving upstairs. "What's going on." He asked as he headed to the stairs. The fox didn't have his sword because he had gone out, but that didn't mean that he didn't have other means to attack whatever was moving up there. He was protecting his Mitsu.

Standing up, he followed Haikimaru to the stairway."This one was expecting Che-" His ears tilting around to listen as he caught his footing, turning to the sound of the tea whistling. The fur along his tail rose slightly before he went back to the kitchen to hastily stop the tea from "exploding".
"-s**t.. please make sure he hasn't gotten into anything.." He said to Haikimaru, getting the tea fixings ready. His mind on what to do for dinner.. Steambuns, miso, ramane, and mochi.. maybe some steamed rice and fish, or maybe an array sushi. He didn't want to just rely on someone else to feed them.

The little white cat sniffed around the bed, its eyes flickering to the door. Its ear twitched, its paws falling to the floor gracefully as it walked to the hallway on the second floor, going to the room across the way, its tail flicking back and forth. Its eyes flowing over the small stack of boxes in front of it, then it turned to walk back into the hallway, not really paying attention to where it was going.

Haikimaru started to climb the stairs and look for the creature. "By the way I need to talk to you about something." the man told his lover. There was some pressing business that they needed to talk about. He heard the creature scamper towards a room. It was a good thing that he had good hearing compared to most creatures. He walked over to the door the creature went into and looked in. "Where are you?"

Catching Haikimaru's words before he went upstairs, the fox nodded. "What is it you want to talk about?" He asked as the noise of the tea died down so that Haikimaru would hear him from the second floor. He knew he would. His own ears tilting and twisting around by them selves to listen to his lover's footsteps. The male slowly poured them each a cup before taking a seat. He set his cup on the tabble, holding it with both hands as he watched the steam waft into the air. He would wait for Haikimaru to return there. His eyes blank, a content smile on his face as he waited patiently for Haikimaru to return.

The cat walked face-first into the fox's leg, shaking its head as it shifted back into a small dragon. Its eyes widened as it looked up, tilting its head to the side and giving a toothy grin. Retracting it's claws, it sat on Haikimaru's foot, swaying his tail back and forth as he waited to be picked up.
The thin scales along its back florescent, and its fur well-groomed. Its claws were filed back, but still sharp.
'Ohayou! I found Haikimaru-san!' it thought, projecting it's thoughts to him, glancing around, 'Where is that Mitsuko-sama?' It asked in a childlike-manor. It's Japanese not quite perfected. But with what it didn't know, it sent a feeling. The words connecting to form language in Haikimaru's mind in what he would understand. So that way it would sound just as if someone was speaking to him.

Haikimaru picked up the creature. He was going to take him to Mitsuko. The man turned on his heels and started to walk down the hallway. "Well you see there is this friend. She's pregnant with twins, but she can only support one child. She wants me to take the child in and treat it like a daughter." He answered as the man started to come down the stairs. He then turned into the kitchen and placed the dragon-cat creature on the ground to do as it pleased.
