Hello there dear stranger I'd like to introduce you to Kalyan and his lovely astrolabe. Currently: Kalyan isn’t a man of many talents but of many interests. Being the working class left him thirsty for more, and he’s a little stir crazy from being cooped up in Merrimead since he doesn’t feel secure enough to go sailing after The Rosa happenstance- not that he'd be allowed on a ship to begin with.
He’s on a mission for information concerning plagues and is traveling around much of Panymium: mostly Mishkan and Imisus. He could make trips elsewhere, but it would be met with great reluctance. He’s also a navigator/repairman for hire to bring in the funds. Need a bodyguard that knows where he’s going, or can’t hire that specialist you need? He’ll get you where you gotta go, fix what needs to be fixed.
Kalyan Umesh:
+ Stoic and imposing in appearance; he’s a very large man with a straight face and slight hunch.
+ Sociable but brash, curious, and honest in his opinion.
+ Freshly superstitious and impressionable.
+ A bit emotionally unstable/prone to outbursts if pushed.
+ If you play your cards right, easily manipulated.
+ Judgmental against Nobles/Upper classmen.
+ Obsessive over his plague; it goes where he goes, and touching it may result in a loss of fingers.
Nereides:
+ Putesco
+ The pretty little scapegoat to Kal's problems.

Ideas for grimm suffering plots:
*-xxxxKalyan is on a quest for information. He would love to talk about your plague’s origins!
-xxxxKal being taken advantage of. (N-not in that way of course YOU GET WHAT I MEAN RIGHT?!)
*-xxxxMaking shady connects; all the better for Neri to disapprove of in the future. <3
-xxxxA traveling partner! However brief or long term.
-xxxxTech talk/being taught. Most of his work is self-exploration and improvising.
-xxxxRumors of the Plague Doctor. He has a stunted and an assumption. He'd like to hear more after Be Still.
-xxxxSympathize with an Obscuvian. Kalyan believes plagues are curses and doesn’t know the full extent of cultist actions besides hearing of riots in Imisus. Should an approachable (or manipulative) cultist come around, it could easily be done.
-xxxxMishaps with magic! Kal has limited direct experience with magic and is suspicious of it due to his plague.
-xxxxInteraction with immigrants. He’s a taste for the foreign and unknown. Currently most interested in Yirui.
*-xxxxBeing trained with weapons. He can wield a dagger, but street fighting is all he’s actually decent at.
*-xxxxStory sharing! Mythos, religion, life experiences, science.
-xxxxLong term friendships. ‘Course this takes time but you become buddy buddy with him for reals he will do anything for you even if you’re a scumbag. It’s actually kind of embarrassing.

WHY HELLO THERE...
I AM TOTALLY INTERESTED IN A CLASH MEETING. especially since Lulu's an immigrant and she's a noble. Peony was also technically from Yirui, since the materials she's made from was Yiruian silk--
but yes. I would definitely want to talk about Lulu and Kalyan's interactions-- short or long term! 8D 8D 8D 8D 8D 8D 8D 8D
Lulu doesn't necessarily travel that much, but I'm still trying to decide what I want Lulu to do, so maybe that'll change--

Kalends would love to meet Kaylan and maybe poke along through the streets of Edgecrest with him, should his travels take him there. :3 He totally wouldn't attempt to steal his astrolabe or anything like that nooo Edgecrest's a port city, if that helps. ^___^ A talk about religions/morals would probs also be mad fun, if you're up for it.
Also loool, Neri and Vade sound like they would be well-suited to meet each other in the future too. *u* Vade would love to talk with someone who disapproved of shady!Kalends, too.

AWESOME SAUCE Kalyan would loooove to learn about Peony then; as his astrolabe was crafted in Yirui as well! :> And he would definitely have mixed feelings on Lulu that could work out in her favor lol. I'd love to plot with you! ouob
He'll be up and about quite soon, though he won't be traveling through Gadu for sometime. If she does decide to travel, maybe he can meet her halfway?Yesssssss there are so many things brilliant in this! If Kal caught Kalends trying to steal his astro he would be pissed (which would be pretty awesome). And if Kalyan doesn't know that he's a thief upon sight, he would love talking about such subjects- as he's struggling himself in those concerns. <333 Lol I'm unsure of which order these would happen though!
Neri would enjoy having someone agree with her! Kalyan just usually brushes her off, so she needs someone that'll make her say 'SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTAND THANK YOU.' C'x

Lol, they could always have a religious/moral talk first and then Kalends could make a grab for the astrolabe after. Like, he'd chat Kaylan up and then try to find a good opportunity to rob him. :'D Idk why am I proud of this man. /o the immorality DUDE ANGRY MEN == SUCH LOVE <33 angry!Kalyan vs angry!Kalends ... this is sounding amazing. ALSO I just noticed both of our Grimms have "Kal-" as the first part of their name. It must be... destiny.

LOL THE SUPER KAL BROS? /SHOT/ Ha ha angry men YES. <3 angry!Kalyan is just a silly fumbling giant yelling at people. It's kind of hilarious- and then he grabs you with his bear hands.
Ffft Kal's gonna be like 'I trusted youuuuuu' even though he's know this guy for like an hour. 8| Guess we both be proud mamas!
