STARTING STAGE : 2
DESIRED JOB LOCATION: Fennel Smithery
JOB TYPE: Blacksmith and Miner. On the days where he isn't learning the art of working metal, he's out mining ore and gems from...somewhere.
At first Storm is started off by learning the various tools of the trade and how to maintain them. His priorities at this time is to make sure there's plenty of wood for the fires and that the fires are burning hot enough to melt the ores. His secondary duties might include shoeing animals, keeping stock, and sharpening blades.
As time progresses Storm will learn how to use the forge and various other tools and start crafting things on his own.
BRIEF HISTORY: Farming was in Storms blood but not necessarily in his heart. Having grown up in Mineral Town with his three siblings and parents on their quaint farm was enough to leave the youth with a lasting dislike of the more dirty aspects of farm life. But that wasn't the worst part of it all, no the worst was the fact that he would always be tied to the farm unless he managed to break away from it. It was easier said than done as Storm found out.
It took him a couple of years, working (really) odd jobs in the city but he managed to get himself a college education with minimal debt. The mental scarring in his opinion was worth it in the end, even though his degree turned out to be pretty useless. He quickly became stuck in the rut known as the daily grind until one of his 'buddies' from college found him and blackmailed him into moving with her to a 'little village in the middle of nowhere'. Storm resisted at first, but the allure of falling back into habits he thought he'd squashed dead sounded far more appealing than being just another face in the publishing industry.
That was a year ago, and only now are the townsfolk really warming up to him.

HAIR STYLE : Storm has never been one for the popular hairstyles, so his hair has always seemed as if someone just took a pair of scissors to it instead of the neat layers he had been trying for. His bangs are just long enough to fall into his eyes and the rest, while still different lengths, falls just past his shoulders. This disaster is normally pulled into a low ponytail.
HAIR COLOR : Orange (Carrot Top!)
EYE COLOR : Green SKIN COLOR AND TONE : Pale with some color from the amount of time he spends baking near the fires.
BODY TYPE : Tall, Slender, with just enough defined muscle structure around his upper body to show that he takes his work seriously.
HEIGHT: 5'9"
OTHER FEATURES : Snake Bite piercings on his lower lip, and a dusting of freckles across the bridge of his nose and cheekbones, and the tops of his shoulders.
CLOTHES : There's nothing that Storm hasn't worn once, be it a personal preference or a dare. He likes things in shades of blue, gray, green, and purple.
REFERENCES : None! This guy will be completely up to the artist (other than coloration and a few minor things)

PERSONALITY: THE VIRTUES : Kind-' Eh, you want something? Sure if it's within reason.' Storm has always had good luck when it came to getting a helping hand when he's needed it the most, so to him it's only fair to be as helpful to others as possible. But being helpful doesn't always come off of as it is. He seems to get a little carried away at times and likes to takes it one step further, turning a simple act of 'helpfulness' into something resembling 'caring'. After the deed is done Storm will often by found stopping by to see if his help is needed again, or to make sure whatever it is that needed his help in the first place is still working out alright. Though the better he gets to know you the less he seems willing to help out. If he knows that you can do something by yourself or know someone else who can do it better than he can, he'll flat out tell you so.
Dependable- Storm is the guy you go to if you want that kitten out of the tree, or help cleaning out the shed. Any promise he makes he'll do his best to fulfill it, always 100% effort. There's nothing that rubs him more wrong than promising to help and then not giving it your all. Even if it's done grudgingly or for someone he dislikes. His opinion is that even if he doesn't like someone, the feelings have to be mutual and for them to swallow their pride to ask him must mean that they seriously need the help. This of course doesn't mean he'll go running to help just anyone who asks him. He does have a life and things he has to get done, but he'll make time to at least try.
Honest- 'Yes I was the one who turned all your pumpkins upside down.' No matter how incriminating or embarrassing the event, if Storm was the one to do it he'll own up to it. Of course you'll have to confront him about it first, as if there's even a slight chance at getting away with something, he'd take it. Storm sees no point in lying, stretching the truth a little sure, but a flat out lie? To him something like that would eventually come back to him in some manner, probably to bite him in the arse.
His honesty a majority of the time comes off as blunt. Painfully blunt as he sees no point in sugar coating anything. Well...maybe a little. He isn't heartless enough to tell you flat out everything he sees that's wrong about something, but he doesn't see the point it presenting things a certain way to take the sting out of it. This often leads to conflicts with those he's speaking with, but the ones who know him know that this is just how he is, and that he isn't trying to be cruel or malicious. Most people learn quickly not to ask his opinion about anything important or sensitive.
PERSONALITY: THE FLAW : Stubborn- 'No is No is No is NO! How many times must it be spelled out before you understand it. Is. Not. Going. To. Happen!' The more he gets pestered, the more Storm digs his heels in until someone waves the cattle prod to get him to relent and get moving. The easiest way to get Storm out of him stubborn mood is to give him something else to do, and then approach him later with the task that made him dig his heels in. More often than not he'll have forgotten why he didn't want to do the task in the first place, or be in a more amicable mood. He might still balk a little, or sigh dramatically, but he'll do it in the end.
Carries a Grudge- 'Yeah, what was it again that you did, three months ago?' Storm still hasn't forgotten. He might eventually forget the reason why he was angry with you in the first place, he'll recall that he was angry at you, for something. Good luck asking a favor from him when he's like this though. Unless it's serious he'll continue to tell you to ask someone else or say that he doesn't have the time to help out. When he's like this it'll take more than one person weediling at him to get something done for the person he just doesn't want to interact with.
Vengeful- It might take a while if nothing pops up to remind him, but most of the time Storm will extract some form of revenge for the perceived wrongs done to him. Childishly, pettily, it wont matter. It might be something as simple as denying you something you like, or seriously by letting all your livestock loose. The only good thing is that his acts of revenge are usually swift in coming, so if a month or two has gone by, it's safe to say that you can start to sleep at night again. He most likely isn't going to try to dye all your clothing pink.
YOUR FEARS AND WEAKNESS : Deep bodies of water/ drowning- Storm has never really liked the ocean or the deeper parts of the lake. Even rivers at one time gave him the shivers. It's all because of his stupid brothers and their dares and the threats of having to wear girls clothing if he didn't do them, at the tender age of 8. Old enough to be a big boy and not do the sensible thing like going to sic mama on the big idiots. There was nothing intelligent in taking his brothers dare to swim out to the tiny rocky island in the middle of the lake when Storm could barely swim in the first place, but he did, and when he woke up two days later he couldn't fathom why his mother was in hysterics over him. Then he remembered the water pulling him down as he hit a current he couldn't push himself from, how it smothered him and sapped the strength from his body.
Needless to say he still gets queasy when he's forced to cross large bodies of water and pale as death when he realizes that he might have to...to dive into it for any reason.
Centipedes- There's nothing like the tender creation of fear than by waking up to find yourself getting eaten. Literally. Well, not really. But it says a lot to wake up with a bug attached to your leg which was in the process of swelling and turning red. Not to mention the following days filled with chills, fever, and a persistent feeling of something crawling all over you. So when Storm ever comes across one, his first reaction is to kill it. Smoosh it deeaaaddd all the while whining like a the little freaked out girl he is.
LIKES : Chopping wood and Mining- There's something soothing about the repetitive motions of chopping wood and the rhythmic tink tink that comes from a pick hitting stone. There's something also said about what you could do with the results of your labor. Wood could be used to a variety of different things, from building to crafting to simple fuel for a fire. Mining produces stone and gems and ore, and on occasion stuff from ages long past. It's really the joy of discovery and effort that makes these seemingly mundane tasks interesting to Storm.
Rain- Water is both a fear and a pleasure for Storm. He was after all, named after a bringer of elements. (This of course has nothing to do with the fact that he was also born during a nasty storm and may have inadvertently been named after it). There's just something...pleasant about listening to a storm rage overhead and watching walls of white come pounding down from the safety ofbeing indoors.
DISLIKES : Mucking out stalls- Storm may love animals, having been raised on a farm and all, but there's nothing likeable about having to clean up after them. It's smelly and dirty and always made bile rise in his throat whenever he had to do it.
Baby animal watch- There's nothing glorious about watching an animal being born, less so if you've been sitting out in the cold night air watching it's mother for hours before the stubborn little creature to made its appearance. Too many times had Storm fallen ill because he was unlucky enough to get saddled with the 'easy' chore. Now he stays clear away from birthing season.
FAVORITE ANIMAL: Cats and Sheep, they rank just about the same to him. Both are fluffy and cuddly and don't try to bite him when he passes by.
FAVORITE COLOR: Purple
SEXUALITY : Pansexual

Hi, Lirende! ^u^
c': Here's my critique for Storm's profile:
My suggestion for 3 flaws could be that a trait like vengeful perhaps may be separate from Carries a Grudge. For 3 virtues, a possible 3rd trait could further enforce why despite his flaws, he is kind and dependable. Does he have some sort of individual charisma or charm? In other words, does he have a sense of humor that helps dispel any anger towards him or another feature among other possibilities?
Goo also informed me in my quest thread that a slight alteration was made, which is that the likes and dislikes part of the forms have been changed from lists to paragraph formats. This is how the change is worded for the likes and similarly for the dislikes: "LIKES : What they like: Hobbies, activities, people, food, etc. Please make these as paragraphs with at least two of their top favorite likes." This only just crossed my mind now, but I'll be mentioning this alteration in a shop thread post, too.
And I saw that this was part of the opening event's form though it isn't seen in the questing guide under the fears and weakness part: "Explain why these are the fears or weaknesses." So, I think you should add to this section, such as how Storm reacts to centipedes and deep bodies of water for instance (ex. vomiting/nausea near deep bodies of water, losing consciousness around centipedes, etc).
Storm is very interesting! c'x Best wishes for your questing! :'D

Thanks Shy! I fleshed out a lot of what you've mentioned, though he isn't very forthcoming with some things, like the dislikes and the animals.

Hey there! I decided to give Storm a crit! Hopefully these things will help you develop them better!
Virtues
Kind- There's a few parts where the grammar seems odd. In which ways does he act kind? I would suggest giving a few more examples, to show how his kindness could relate to caring and helpful.
Dependable- How does his he show this virtue when dealing with his friends and family. Does he always try his best to help out people, even if they are total strangers. What about people he dislikes? Does he expect people to do the same for him, or does he help people even if they wouldn't do the same back?
Honest- for this part, maybe add more details on how his honesty can reflect on his friends. Will they always believe him knowing how honest he is, does he say things right to their face? I think more detail could help people understand his character better.
Flaws
Stubborn- Does his stubborn trait effect his dependable? What would happen if it's when someone notices him being stubborn and asks him to do something else?
Maybe think about how grudge and vengeful would react in comparison to kind. Since he's so kind, would he help out someone who he has a grudge against? Maybe just write more detail there.
Those were the main things, just some things for you to think about! :3

Thanks Goo! I think I got everything but I'm not too sure! I foresee Storm being an easy character to play, but a little harder to capture like this.
