INk2Y: G-Fire: Sphinx- Captain of the Guards
INk2Y: So me and Broken are dudes and G-Fire is a cross dresser and Alv and Chibi are the chicas
INk2Y: I shall be the horsey man who seems a bit callous and rude but secretly crushes on Alv
Lilchibiusa: Yes, but they can't go from dream to dream until after the portal mirrors are fixed.
INk2Y: PLOT B:
Thanks to a magical mishap the world is in utter chaos. Characters are forgetting who they are and are constantly changing. The WORLD is constantly changing and each hour it gets worse.
When no one remembers the story book tales, are they doomed to end...forever?
It is up to Guests to restore order by answering riddles, competing in arenas against magical foes, and collecting items.
Friend and foe alike are mingled in the cast so take mind traveler.
INk2Y: PLOT A:
The world is in dissaray and everyone acts like somethign other than they are. Prince Charming is a lawyer,etc.
The world is also slowly closing in and things and NOW people are disappearing. Its up to Guests to restore orer by finding objects that hold the characters memories.
As time marches on it is discovered that Villians set this all into motion.
GalateasFire: We could just have the lesser characters really start to fade and just have the main characters have mild forgetting spells
Brokenbleedingangel: well some of us can be whole, some can just be starting to forget
GalateasFire: And guests have to find our items to restore use and start the world from fading
GalateasFire: What about world fading instead of closing in and the characters are slowly forgetting as we go along and the items will restore their memories
GalateasFire: so fading away?
GalateasFire: How are the guests stopping that?
Brokenbleedingangel: they need to find their sacred items
INk2Y: World closing in is main problem I think.
INk2Y: Being forgotten
Brokenbleedingangel: disappearing
Brokenbleedingangel: yeah, but if the kids ever wanted to be rulers instead and found a way to kill their parents....oh s**t I smell a plot
Brokenbleedingangel: I mean yeah, the King is always down for some sexy times with his wife, but kid and pregnancy...
Brokenbleedingangel: Cuz they're kind of immortal, so what would be the point in having children?
Brokenbleedingangel: something they would carry around every day, like a ring, a brush, a scroll, a mirror, a pendant, a staff, etc
Brokenbleedingangel: And let's say the objects go missing, this would be great as a room game/contest to find these items before the inhabitants die
like everyone has an object that is sacred to them, this object could be any random thing
or keep them from disappearing
INk2Y: The old story tale characters forgot who they are and are performing ordinary average things. Like tax brokers, lawyers, etc.
Lilchibiusa: I'm just saying that since this is a dream, we can have our characters as bizarre as we like!
Lilchibiusa: I like the idea of the room shrinking! Let's build on that!

INk2Y: With less people dreaming such dreams the world is getting smaller and smaller
Brokenbleedingangel: and a garden with roses of every colour! And their dew drops are actually the tiny silver grains of sand the Sandman uses to make people sleep!

So are we semi happy with the direction we've gone in so far or should we get some new ideas? Personally I like the options we have here but I am always ready to look at others. I wonder if we should set up the options in a vote format so we can decide on which combo of ideas is the best?
Just offering my opinion/ideas which is not meant to sway anyone wink but I really like the characters we came up with AND I liked the idea of the room fading (not shrinking) and as a result the characters memories/personalities start to fade as well...starting with them being normal and gradually losing more and more of themselves until the guests find their objects to bring them and their realm back.
Side ideas...during the chaos and weakness, the king and queens children could be planning a revolt.
Games and objectives for guests:
Main Quest:Find the objects to bring back the characters (includes navigating maze? and battling creatures to get to goal) Also HOW do they "find" each item?
Side games: ?? Riddles, scavenger hunt, battle creatures, "name the creature" game -- kinda like a riddle, we give them clues and they have to guess which mythological creature we are talking about. (more art opportunities there! ;D) Roll the dice games/ random number games...
During the "children's" revolt against the king and queen we could come up with some interesting games...the guests could take sides maybe?? Or not...we could have a mini battle...just throwing some stuff out there.

Hmmm. Fading does sound like a better option, G-Fire.
Along with fleshing out a plot we need to think of the layout of all this; castle, grounds, gardens...
So should it go plot, games, art? Yeah probably.
Its early morn' for me and my brain isn't firing on all cylinders.

Yeah probably. Its early morn' for me and my brain isn't firing on all cylinders. I certainly understand that! XD Its lunch time and I think my brain is still lagging behind. smile I agree, plot, games (characters), art/design. I will be curious and excited to start working more on our characters and discovering how they interact with each other. biggrin I think as two fairly gruff males, our characters should be either buddies or hate each other! rofl Course it would be fun to have someone to go to the pub and drink with. ;D Plus we are both four legged people...

There should be a race between your characters to see who the fastest four legged character is, and the guests will have to encourage and root for their favorite to make that one win! xd
What about instead of turning into normal human beings (which they never were), why not just slowly fade into nothingness? Dreams characters never had physical bodies in the first place since they exist in the minds of the dreamers. Just a thought. Or, we could go with something more basic, and just say that the world is freezing over with crystals like I put in the main plot. It creates plenty of problems, and would certainly cause problems for everyone. Plus, it'd be pretty and mystical! heart

Oooo, I love the fading idea! heart It actually reminds me of an Alvin and the Chipmunks episode (BIG surprise here, eh?)--actually a sort of parody of Back to the Future--where the Chipmunks from the '90s notice that their images are fading on their CD covers, and they find out that they're fading because the Chipmunks from the '50s are considering leaving the music biz and that career move would jeopardize the '90s Chipmunks' future as well, so they travel back in time to the '50s...then the past Chipmunks want to switch places with the present (well, 1990s) Chipmunks, and then they start to notice that their picture on their album cover is slowly being replaced with the other set of Chipmunks' pictures...Anyway, yeah, the fading-away idea is neat! mrgreen
