O H, x W H A T x Y O U x D O x T O x M E . . .  Walking inside the dorm, Idris looked around curiously. It was a pretty good size. She expected it might have been smaller, though. It was always portrayed that they were either bigger or smaller a lot of the time. It was kind of nice, really. Turning around slowly, a small smile broke out on her face. She liked it. Maybe she was the first one here...? That could definitely explain it. It didn't look like someone had been here for at least a month, maybe. Or a week- it all seemed a little too clean to have someone walking around, sleeping, and eating here. maybe she could grab the bigger bedroom before anyone came here. That would be nice. Plus, she'd be able to shift if need be in private. It was uncomfortable to shift, and it usually involved her curled up into a little ball to deal with the pain. And she certainly didn't want people to have to step around her, that was for sure. It wouldn't be very nice, and they might trip over her, which would certainly not help her or them at all. She would get more pain to deal with, and they'd most likely be having to deal with a stubbed toe.
Picking up her two bags from the floor where she had set them down, the phoenix bit her lower lip absentmindedly. Walking over to a door, she knocked quickly in case anyone was there. After a few seconds, she opened the door slowly, poking her head in curiously, her crimson-red eyes poking around the room. Well, at least they weren't blue now. She hated how they changed color like that. It was incredibly annoying, and it made her feel like a specimen when people pointed it out. Luckily, they turned blue when she was upset, and she most certainly was far from being upset. For some reason, she really detested blue eyes. She didn't know why, she just did. Maybe it was because that it wasn't a very common color among phoenix's. The eyes tended to be a vivid olive green, her crimson red, a beautiful gold, or a cinnamon chocolate brown. Blue was incredibly rare, and it was unnatural looking when coupled with the vivid hues of yellow, gold, and brown in a phoenix. They tended to blend in more when they were in human form, but even then they seemed to look unnatural because of how clear and vivid it was.
With a giddy grin on her face, Idris dropped her bags on the bed and looked around, twirling around on the tips of her toes, her short black hair flying out like a skirt around her, and the tassel-like hair ornaments moving more slowly around her. Yes! She got the big room. No more worrying about getting tripped over or anything like that! Walking Opening her suitcase, the girl hummed a little tune, looking over her shoulder now and then to see if anyone was coming in. Granted, she would probably hear them, but she wanted to see them before they saw her so she might be able to surprise them. She had always liked surprising people. The looks on their faces were fun to see, and you sometimes got them to smile. Plus, hoe they reacted was just priceless if they got startled.
Grabbing a small stack of clothes from one of the suitcases, she walked over to the dresser. Opening it with one hand, she carefully set the stack inside. She might as well unpack as long as she was here. Besides, it was better to get it done sooner so she wouldn't have to dig around her suitcase and make a mess.
Maybe she would go get some ice cream later. Green apple flavored, maybe? [exit]
