After the advent of shadow Pokémon and the snagging machine, the Orre Region Government has decided to take the next "logical" step and is about to start experimenting with human genetics. Cross breeding a human with a Pokémon, can it be done? Why not? We have the technology, we have the funding, we even have the support of the right people! Nothing is going to stop us from playing God! Many people in the Orre Region are outraged, and, as soon as the Government went world-wide with their decision, so was much of the rest of the world!
Now, the world has split into two sides, those for the experimentation, and those dead-set against it. Anybody left undecided has either been persuaded into a side or has been shunned completely. And even though it's only been three days since the broadcast, already there is a group of people with their Pokémon, training harder than ever before, so that they can stop this abomination. On the other hand, the side that is for the experiments are also training, and any time two opposing trainers clash, the results are generally catastrophic! Because of this decision, people are rioting all over the world, destroying private and public properties of opposing sides, even going so far as killing their enemies, despite the best efforts of the different governments to quell any uprisings.
Not even the legendary Pokémon are anywhere to be found, it's as if they've vanished without a trace. There is also a group of people setting about on a quest to find these majestic creatures, heedless of their own lives, risking life and limb to find them. However, even the legendary seekers are divided. Some want to find them, thinking that they would be the only Pokémon strong enough to survive the experiments, and others wanting to find them to save them from such a fate.
It's up to you! You decide the fate of the world! Which will it be? Will you be on the side of Pokémon and human rights? Or will you help the Orre government play God?

Rules 1. What I say, goes, obviously. I'm very easy-going to get it, and I hope you enjoy your RP experience! 2. Keep it PG-16. I don't run a kid's show, but by no means does that mean that you can have sex! Keep it in your pants, or do that in private, I don't care, as long as it's not here. 3. No flaming, trolling, bashing or making fun of anybody's real self for any reason. If your character is like that, and you're doing it to other characters, keep it part of the story! It actually makes for an interesting story, I think. 4. PM me, Psychoholic Slag, with your profile, with the subject of either: "I Think It's Right!" if you're a supporter, and: "I Think It's Wrong!" if you're against it. 5. Elite Four and Beyond Everybody knows that each region has their own Elite Four, except Johto which is adjacent to Kanto and therefore shares one. The national government has decided that too many trainers are defeating the Elite Four too easily, therefore, they have recently instated a so-called "Ultimate 8," which is comprised of the most powerful trainers in the known world. While the rules are still being comprised, it is much like the Elite Four challenge, and the government is watching very closely all trainers in all sanctioned battles. This includes the Battle Frontier and the Survival Zone, and since the inception of the idea, many trainers have been vying for the right to be in the most honored Ultimate 8.

 Andrew flew into Blackthorn City on his Crobat during his trip to the Unova region. It was just before sundown here, and he figured that he might as well let his Pokémon stretch out a bit. His Scyther and Weavile began training together, neither of them ever wanting to lose to the other. They always had been like that, ever since he could remember. In fact, it was fairly close to here where he first got that Sneasel, he remembered it well, for that was a happy day. His Scyther had been the one to take down the Sneasel with his False Swipe, which finally allowed him to catch the Sneasel. Ever since then, they had had an almost sibling rivalry between them.
Rhyperior and Tyranitar had always been close, and even now, it was no different. They were drinking water together from the lake next to the gym, grumbling lowly. But Crobat, he had always tried to get the goat of Metagross, ever since the big lug had joined the team. It was because the Pokémon was bashful and didn't really integrate with the others very well. Oh, Metagross liked them and Andrew just fine, but it was just that Metagross preferred to be on its own. Crobat would never do anything to hurt Metagross deliberately, he was just playing around. Andrew watched his Pokémon playing and training, thinking about old times, especially all the hard fought battles here in Blackthorn.
"Alright, guys, let's go. Maybe we can get a room for the night, huh?" Andrew called back all of his Pokémon except for Scyther, whom he let roam freely at his side. "This place brings back a lot of memories, huh, Scyther?" The Pokémon nodded in agreement as they walked toward the inn that had been added just a few short years ago while Andrew was gone. Andrew walked into the inn and saw a person he had met while he was here almost seven years ago.
"Hey'a, Andrew! How's it going? Long time, no see. And of course, that Scyther of y'ers."
"Hey, John, I'm doing just fine. My Pokémon have been taking real good care of me, and vice-versa. This place looks great, have you owned it all this time? Can I get a room for the night? I've been flying a long time."
"Sure, ya can, buddy. That will be 600 yen."
"Jeez, a little steep, ain't it? Fine, I'll pay, it's not like I don't have the cash." Andrew gave the man the price of the room and recieved his key. "Thanks, John. You have a good night."
"You, too, buddy. You too." Andrew went up to his room and let his lighter Pokémon sleep wherever they wanted to, then went to sleep himself.
