Name:
Roeline

Age: 12

Gender: Female

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Craft/Rank: Weyrbrat

History: Roeline was born and raised in Trine Weyr from a family of beastcrafters. She is the youngest of four children and also the only daughter of the family. While the two middle brothers have chosen to continue on with the family business, she herself has always wanted to be a dragonrider like her oldest brother, S’ren.

Due to age restrictions Roeline has only recently been able to become a Candidate. Prior to this she’s lived a fairly normal life at the Weyr, helping out her family with chores, playing with her brother’s dragon when he visited, and playing with her friends in the Weyr the rest of the time. She greatly looks forward to being able to participate in her first Hatching.

Description: Roeline is a bit short even for the average twelve year old, and it is doubtful that she will ever grow to be very tall in stature. She has light, sandy-brown hair that falls in waves down to the bottom of her back and is often partly braided. Her eyes are wide and blue, and her thin frame is of a decently fair complexion. Well, fair by Trine standards anyway, but not nearly so fair as those living in the colder climates up north.

Personality:

+ Sweet / Socially Naive –
Roeline has eyes like a doe and knows how to use them. This girl is often times as sweet as sugar, and has no problem being friendly with anyone from her closest friends to a random stranger. It is doubtful that she even knows what it means to be of an ill-temper, as she herself is far more likely to be hurt than angered.

At the same time, Roeline isn't quite one for catching subtle social cues, and sometimes even more obvious cues-- short of 'get out'-- are missed (and even then she's likely to ask why). She doesn't always have a sense of awkwardness or privacy, and if she sees two people she knows cuddling together she's likely skip straight up to them and try to climb into the middle of the hug pile. Or try to get one or both of them to play with her. After all, if they had nothing better to do than sit around on a couch, surely they could spend some time with her, right? The same is pretty much true of awkward tension in a room, as any such subtlies will fly right over her head (and for once not just because of her small size).

+ Playful / PLAYFUL –
Roeline is a bundle of energy and loves nothing more than a good game. The kind doesn't really matter, as she's happy to play just about anything with anyone (so long as you can keep her attention focused on it). After all, what better way to spend one's free time than by having fun, right?

On the downside, Roeline is a bundle of energy and loves nothing more than a good game. So much so, in fact, that it can be rather tiring for anyone older to try to keep her occupied at times. Sure, if one is desperate they can send her out to play on her own, but with all of the creatures that lurk in the forest surrounding the Weyr that is not always the safest option...

+ Serious when Necessary
Despite how sweet and innocent she comes off most of the time, when it comes to serious matters she doesn’t play around. If someone is in trouble or if Thread should start falling from the sky, she’ll do whatever it is she can do to help, be it getting the healer, herding the herdbeasts somewhere safe, or lighting a torch in the fire to burn whatever thread may hit the ground.

Tendency to Wander –
Oftentimes Roeline has a tendency to want to explore. Sometimes, however, she doesn't necessarily choose the safest places to explore. Dark bits of forest surrounding the Weyr are just as fair game to her as say the kitchens or the lake. After all, if it's all in the name of adventure, what’s the harm?

Not to say that she's 100% reckless in her wandering. If said patch forest is emitting growling sounds or otherwise has evidence of tunnel snakes or felines having been through she'll have the sense to think twice about exploring there at that time. Maybe another day if she can convince a wherhandler and their wher to come with her or something...
