drawing alot while dumping the level 8's in grave. that way you can dark calling them without losing card advantage for a big dark gaia. you then poop on everything with yourr oyal decree and dark gaia. it works nicely if you can get gainer out too. or a second dark gaia. that way, you OTK your opponant, even if you used 3 upstarts.

i built a nice macro build using them. but it's slow, so it really doesn't work that well. i'm still waiting for more rock support even now.

Dark gaia is one of my favorite decks to play, I won some locals with a lightsworn-gaia variant when six sams/hero beat were the top deck, but there's just way too much flying around and too many faster decks for it to be very competitive now imo.

I really don't recommend Arsenal Summoner/Guardian Sphinx. They both seem very meh and don't feed dark gaia much.

Gigantes is one of my favorite rock monsters for this deck because it can blow up back row (and bait annoying things that will block my OTK later) and be special summoned if your grave yard has enough earth monster.

Need moar lava golem. That thing is a sexy beast. 3000 attack + fiend + in general, a plus for you because you get rid of two of your opponent's monsters + can't be solemn'ed = do want

Also, no seven tools/bribe/decree/whatnot? More often then not, something will troll the OTK and at least having one of the prevoiusly mentioned card helps so you can make it go through.

The deck overall seems really slow. Dark gaia decks should set up pretty fast before your opponent can get too many defenses up because there are way too many things that ruin the otk/beat you before you can set up/make it hard to set up later
