Probably the most dangerous structure in Wonderland, unless of course you are loyal to The Black King. The inside is just as menacing as the outside. If I were you I would not step one foot or paw into this place. Then again you are not me so do as you like, I don't really care. Don't come crying to me if you loose your life. I gave you a fair warning, for free I might add.

This is the back entrance to the Palace, it's falling apart in some places and completely destroyed in others. The over all castle is made from bits and pieces of wonderland; odds and ends that were stitched together and out of place, and yet everything still fits neatly like a completed puzzle.

In order to get to the Palace you need to have a token from The Black King, otherwise the outer gardens will take you as it's victim.

William sat on his bed, as he had been for the past few hours. He hadn't gotten a wink of sleep that night, the overwhelming thirst had over come him. It was a horrible feeling, having all of your willpower ripped from you. It made you feel like you were a prisoner in your own body. Racing out of the castle, through the maze, and into the forest. It had been a troll this time, his victim. He was easily over powered by William's strength, it was only a few seconds before he was killed, then drained. Once William's thirst was satisfied, he had control over himself again. It was a horrible process that left him shaking for the first hour afterwards. Of course he had returned to the safety of his dark room in the ink palace before he let himself 'go'. Once the shaking had stopped he simply sat there, trying to calm himself.

Finally William could see dawn's dim light approaching from the small window in his room. The horrors of the night was finally to an end. He let out a shaking breath of mild relief. "The king will want to see me soon. I should probably start getting ready. His majesty doesn't like to be kept waiting, and I don't want to look unpresentable." William thought, getting his current priorities in order. He stood up and moved to his wardrobe. His torso was covered in bandages, but he'd have to change them before putting anything else on. There was blood splatter on them from his nightly activities. He had gone to a meeting of sorts with out changing his bloody bandages once, and was attacked by a vampire. He won, but had several scars hidden by his bandages from the violent attack. Though he didn't have any serious fresh wounds, William liked the feeling of the bandages against him skin. It reminded him of when he had scales, but it was softer to the touch, and a bit warmer during cold weather. William moved away from his wardrobe and to the bathroom. He'd remove his bandages in there and wash the bits of blood matted in his hair as well.

William emerged from the bathroom about twenty minutes later with a fresh set of bandages wrapped neatly around his torso, and the rest of his body free of any troll's blood from the night before. He walked over to the floor length mirror near his bed with a towel wrapped around his waist. He looked closely at the image to make sure the bandages were secure, he had had years of practice, but it was always best to double check.
" Looks like they're on tightly enough. I'll check again later after I'm finished with the today's tasks." he thought. His attention shifted up from the bandages wrapped around his torso and parts of his arms to his face. His dark hair was already starting to turn into a mess of curls and waves. "I'll work on them once I'm dressed." he thought, then moved back to the wardrobe.

William stood in front of his wardrobe for a moment thinking about what to wear for the day ahead. He couldn't simply throw on a pair of pants and head out the door like some days because he had been told that he'd be meeting with the king and other nobles of the court for the day. So he thought it best to at least wear a jacket over his bandaged chest. After a few minutes of review he selected a black tailcoat and nice black pants with a boot cut. He slipped on a pair of socks and shinny black shoes before moving back to the mirror, now armed with a brush. He reduced the wildness of his hairdo to a more acceptable level of oddly shappen curls mixed with longer waves in the back. It was mostly dry, though there was still a bit of dampness to the touch. Happy with his appearance William headed down to the dining hall. He was one of the first people to arrive, and took a seat of little consequence in one of the two long rows of seats around the table, though closer to the king's side so he could see his lord and master from a good view point. Spying a bright red apple on one of the dishes of food in front of him, William took it and began to happily munch of the brightly colored fruit. Savoring each sweet and juicy bite he took.

User Image |~| Nithis Soth, The Black King |~|

Nithis had spent the night as he always had, perched atop the pinnacle of the castle; the tower keep opened up to a flat roof, where Nithis had a throne installed even before he took power. He much enjoyed seating himself upon the chair, leaning back with both arms firmly seated on the rests and one leg idly hanging over the other; the chilling night's air reinvigorated him as he surveyed and coveted his kingdom below. His thoughts were blank and, though his eyes remained open, this was the closest form of sleep he could muster; his trust for others ever wavering and when combined with a lack of rest, explained most of his madness.

A scowl crossed Nithis's visage and a growl followed from his gullet as he saw an all too familiar and hated object. The sun began to creep up from the horizon, stinging his dry eyes and stirring him from his slumber. A dark cloud quickly obliged the flick of the Black King's wrist, rising to blot the object from Nithis's sight. As with every morning, Nithis considered doing away entirely with the ball of flame, but respected its destructive power and the schedule it kept his minions adhering to. With a slow grind, Nithis slid from the throne and began his descent into the keep.

The seemingly endless stone steps clanked against the iron of his boots and the path grew both warmer and lighter, causing Nithis an unsettling discomfort. The faint and echoing sounds of life brought another scowl to the king's face... or perhaps the first had never left? Regaurdless, Nithis humored the notion of a world devoid of life and would have executed such a realm long ago if not for the finality of the idea; there could be no correction if a dead world proved unpleasant. Finally, Nithis reached his quarters, looking upon his immaculate beddings and seeing a visible layer of dust. The feeling in the chamber could only be described as confined; there were walls, which he had not seen for hours and his vision was limited in range, features that arose a certain dull terror from within his chest. Throwing various locks aside, Nithis pressed firmly at the ornate door to his sanctum. It took some time and effort, but eventually the nickel monstrosity, with half wreath embellishments of gold, creaked and pushed to the side.

Through the twists and passageways of the castle, Nithis finally came upon the first sign of life, and one of the sources of that sound he hated so. It was the royal mess hall and it took little effort to discern the creature as William, who the king proceeded to sneak upon silently. From the corner of William's vision, a scaled and taloned black hand that seemed to belong to a dragon more than a man, crept forth and wrapped itself gently around his lower jaw. The claws stung when they pressed, yet did not puncture his flesh as he was pulled back softly; it was an intentional and harsh reminder from the king that William no longer had his scales and was vulnerable, something the Black King had made him. Symbolically it meant that William's life was literally in Nithis's hands and that he existed, now, only to serve his king. Promptly looking him eye to eye, although in an awkward position for William, the king smiled sweetly at the lizard.

"My dearest William..."

The words slithered from his tongue like a serpent and likely stung as such.

"... I was thinking we would break the chain of the daily routine... and take a little trip..."

Nithis's lips instantly curled to a crooked smile, one which revealed a maw of jagged-dagger like teeth.

"...how would you like to visit your old master?"

William felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end when something about the air in the room changed. He swallowed the bite of apple that was in his mouth, and suddenly saw a long dark talon creep into his vision. His eyes grew wide, recognising them almost immediately. "The king!" he thought, surprised the king had come so early. William himself had only just arrived and taken a second bite from his apple moments before the king had snuck in. William flinched under the hand's firm grasp as the talons dug into his skin. It was a painful sensation that he had sadly grown accustomed to since his scales molted off years ago, never to return. The pale skin that was left behind was more sensitive to touch than most people's, and though he didn't bruise easily, it was more susceptible to scaring. It was a reminder that his lord Nithis was the only thing that could keep him safe in this new, twisted world. Locked away in a dark castle with his Lord was the only place where he couldn't be killed, unless he angered his master.

William found himself suddenly face to face with his King, and dropped his apple on the table in surprise. The noise seemed to echo in his mind, and he blushed at his own clumsiness. As his lord smiled, William's blush deepened.
"Dearest?" he questioned in his mind, but smiled back. His king was smiling at him, and calling him dearest again! It made William happy, even though whenever the king used such sweet words it was when he wanted him to do something he normally wouldn't. William dwell on such thoughts though, all that mattered was that his lord had chosen to use kind words towards him. Him, just one of the many loyal servants to the king that resided in the castle. After all, if all one did was follow the king's orders and eat from his tables, didn't that mean that they were his servants? The answer was yes in William's mind, though some of the other nobles might think it wrong. He viewed most people as equals, all lowly servants of the king. Well, everyone except those rebels that refused their nice king's hospitality. Those like his old master, Ryan White, the one who left him there in the king's care...

William's curiosity was piqued when his master said that they should 'take a little trip' as his master worded it. The confusion showed in face, as his eyes seemed consumed by the emotion and his brows slightly furrowed. He opened his mouth to ask where to go, he couldn't remember the last time his master left with him on a mission, but then his master answered the question that was written all over William's face. Surprise over took his features then, his eyes growing larger and filling with a pinch of fear.
"Y-you want to go visit White?" he asked, stuttering for a moment as he did so. William hadn't seen that rabbit in very, very, long time. For the first few weeks William had often times thought about him, but as he remained, his thoughts drift to more relevant things. The only times he was reminded of his old master is when there were talks of traitors and rebels. His Mr.White Rabbit often popped into his head then.

William tried to shake his head no, but his master's grip was too strong to let him move his head on his own accord.
"No- I mean, I would prefer not to. He's a traitor that left." he said, his brow furrowed in confusion. Memories of his adjustment to living with no protection from the court, and it's king, flashed in his mind. He tried to shake them away, but only succeeded in impaling his soft flesh on the scaled hands of his master. His true master, the one that had not abandoned him even when he was weak. William returned to his senses immediately as he remembered this truth. "Though I would be honored to travel with you to go see him, Your majesty." He said with a smile, and the rest of his face relaxed as well. William often didn't understand the motivation behind the things that his lord did, and while he questioned a small number of things, this was one of the many things he did not question. If he did it would of been a thorny path to take, especially with his master's sharp talons so close to his unprotected neck.

User Image |~| Nithis Soth, The Black King |~|

William seemed to be at battle with his own senses, a personality flaw Nithis had come to expect; as with all times that William struggled, he would meet the Black King's silent-stern stare until the lizard had worked things out for himself. It seemedthat William needed a bit more than time to straighten himself, however, and the king frowned slightly as his claws pierced the lizard. Nithis waited until after William had obliged and pulled his hand back, catching the few drops of blood that trickled from his fingertips. He watched the lizard's face carefully, attempting to gauge his reaction as the thick liquid became visible to him. The Black King knew, of course, of William's nightly cravings and took from it an almost sickly sense of pride. Suddenly, Nithis snapped his hand shut and cast it to the side, sending the blood away from him, and speaking in a hasty tone.

"Good. I suspect that the rabbit is up to something, though I'm not sure what. You may be welcome in his home yet and I suspect you clever enough to find out. Otherwise... we shall have to pay the caterpillar a visit. Remember, however, that you will be doing this of your own accord and not as a servant of the Black King... at least to those naive enough to believe such; you'll find the reasons to expression that much, I am certain. Now, come, we shall depart immediately."

Turning about face with a flutter of his cape, Nithis approached those endless stairs once again, beckoning William to follow. It would have been an effort for the lizard to follow, had he not used his gifts, for the Black King moved with an unnatural haste; Nithis sought the comfort of the open sky once again, as well as the comfort of knowledge... the only thing that wore on the king's mind more than the claustrophobic walls of the castle, was the nagging feeling in his gut that White was up to something. Nithis paused at the door to his quarters and threw it open, motioning the lizard to take the next flight of stairs up to the roof of the tower keep. The Black King would follow after he had thrown the various locks and bolts to seal the door behind them.

Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to go and battle!
For Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Needed a bloody rabble.

That ******** wanker! Demio thought as he irritably started to dress in his family's customary colors of green, grey, and dark blue- or at least a variation of the Tweedle's. His face was set into a scowl as he readied himself for the normal routines of morning life at Ink Palace. The king usually expected for all of those holding a title to be present in the morning's fastings if they lived within the walls of his castle, and none minded this in the least. Or at least not in his presences, though if they had they were swiftly dealt with either by the king's personal guard Alexander or by the king himself. Most times than not, it was done by his majesty. But digressing from that train of thought, it was nerve wrecking when his other half decided to go off without a word, especially after what had transpired last night.

A hiss of anger and just plain insulted feelings left Demio's mouth as he gave up trying to do- up his grey-green shirt. "The least that dumbass could have done was wait for me!" He bellowed out to himself while tugging on green leather gloves and ignoring the fact that his shirt was wide open. Though he had nothing to feel self-conscious of since he made sure that his body was in it's peak condition. It was something of a must when you were a leutenient of the Black King's army- and a bit of a vanity issue. Again, though, none of that mattered at the moment because his twin brother was nowhere to be found within the room. Was it really too much to ask that after a night of great ******** sex that his brother would tell him where he's going to go to? REALLY?! It wasn't like Doomiel couldn't tell him he was going to make a visit to see their- not just his- friends to check on Lady Marlicia. Something that they both did at random so not to look too suspicious, since most in the castle assumed that they'd found somewhere to enjoy themselves.

Unfortunately, Tweedle-dumbshit also liked to randomly leave without Demio and leaving him to figure out a story. Running a gloved hand through his ear length dark hair, Tweedledee fell back onto the rumpled bedding of their shared sleeping place and let out a sigh. And that dumbshit would know the only reason Dee was aggitated was because he was left and would be able to run into William at any given time. Both he and Doomiel had heard the creature leaving the castle on it's common hunt for blood... which was likely why his brother decided to randomly take him last night. Demio was worried about the reptile and would have likely gone after him if not for Doomiel's interventions. Even so, now Tweedledee was worried not only for Will, but Dum too. "Pfft... funny... I do feel dumb, too" He finally said out loud as he came off the bed and left his quarters, which was probably the only reason he caught both his lord and William. Odd...

Without thinking about it, he made his way just in time to hear Nithis's command to William to proceed his ascension. "'Ello, Majesty. William." Demio greeted them about a yard or so from the two figures. It was no surprise seeing the Lizard trying to stick close to the king, but it was odd for the king to actually... well... let him stick around. At least not without reason... which made it obvious that the king was indeed up to something. Which in turn made Demio suspiciously curious as he looked to the creature that usually ran around the castle in nothing but bandages sometimes. Putting his attention back to their king, Demio bowed respectfully to him before speaking again. "I'm sorry if I am keeping you two from business, but would you be so kind as to endulge my curiosity for your swift retreats?" Demio asked cautiously, least he angered Nithis. "It is still early yet, are you both skipping the morning meal today?"

As black as a tar-barrel!
Which delighted both the heroes so,
That they began to behave feral.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
William followed his majesty out of the dining room and through the hallways of the castle, easily keeping up with his fast pace. Though feeding was a horrible experience he was forced to go through at least once a month, once it was over his abilities were heightened for the first few days. An easy example of this was the cut he had sustained from his momentary loss of sanity while in the king's hands. It was already covered in a scab, and the blood shed from it dried. Some might of been happy to have such abilities, but William would gladly trade it so he wouldn't have to suffer through feedings. The only times when he felt differently was when the king praised him on his abilities. For those few moments he felt pride too, and happiness in being able to make his master feel proud.

William nodded as he listened to his master tell him his plans for William, shuddering slightly when he threatened him with the caterpillar. Neviah, or the caterpillar as many knew her as, had always made William feel uneasy in her presence. She was always smoking, a pipe, a cigerette, a cigar, it didn't seem to matter to her what she smoked, but she was always smoking. And those glass eyes, they seemed to reflect everything she saw, and when she looked at William, it seemed as though she was staring into his soul. A chill went down his spine simply thinking about it. He would play the spy towards his old traitor master over visiting the caterpillar any day. There was a slight twinge of anticipation as the king said that they'd leave immediately though.
"I wonder if he's changed much. I didn't have my scales when he left, so he should still recognise me. I don't think I've changed much..." he thought, thiking of his old master. His mind dived into the many different possibilities of what the rabbitcould be doing as he followed his current master towards the ink palace's tallest spire.

William's thoughts were interupted though when a familiar voice called out to them. He stopped suddenly and turned to see Demio, who was oddly without his brother. They were an odd pair, Demio and Doomiel. They were twin brothers, both vampires but neither the one that had attack William in a blood lust. They were rarely seen apart, and spent most of the time with each other. Often more like lovers than brothers though. Now and again William would catch Demio looking at him from across the table, but he didn't think much about it. William was an odd looking character after all, he had turned into a mix of many of the creatures that inhabited wonder land while at the castle. His blood lust, pale skin, heightened abilities, and ears all obvious signs of this. Demio occasionally spoke up for him, and asked how he was more often than others, but that simply meant that he was a nice person, right?

William smiled at Demio,
"Good morning Demio." he called out in a merry tone, his mood lighter while in the pressence of his king. He quickly glanced back at his master though, to make sure he wouldn't be left behind. He then returned his gaze to Demio. He noticed that the man's shirt was open, reveling the vampire's carefully sculpted muscles. "I wonder if he and his brother are playing another one of their games." he thought in mild curiousity. It wasn't often that Demio walked around with his shirt open when he wasn't with his brother, though he was with his brother so much it was hard to make assumptions. At Demio's other questions, William looked back to their King. He wasn't sure if their departure was to be a secret or not, so waited for him to answer before saying anything more. He would hate to make his master upset before they left.

Nithis paused just before throwing the door shut, only now noticing Demio. The king eyed the man with a bemusing smile for a brief moment, before answering his greetings.

"Greetings Demio... "

Nithis took a fleeting moment to peer back at the Lizard as he stopped. A temporary frustration grew in the king, threatening a scowl before he possessed the rogue emotion; though William had disobeyed a direct order, he had likely done so to protection the mission... regardless, if the king unnerved him now... the creature may not be so convincing to the Rabbit. Turning back to Demio, catching his inquiries, the Black King responded promptly. During his banter, the king, somewhat noticeably, kept attempting to look at the empty space beside Demo, as if someone where there.

"Of course. I'm off to obtain some information from that wily rabbit. As for breakfast... well... William has already dined and famine is an old friend of mine, I figured I'd welcome him for a stay. The morning business is too routine... I decided to liven things up for a change and get some actual work done."

Though his words were biting, Nithis spoke them with the kindest tongue he could muster, which, admittedly, was likely worse and more unexpected. The king wasn't the only one starting the morning unusually, however; he reached out and waved his hand beside Demio's hips, pulling back and looking astonished.

"Amazing..."

Nithis was, of course, referencing the lack of Doomiel.

"...Speaking of which, I want you to find wherever your brother ran away to and find out what the word is amongst Wonderland... about things... in general. That will be all, Lieutenant."

Without further delay, Nithis shut the door with a loud clang and bolted the locks. Turning around, he flicked his wrists hurriedly for William to ascend. Once outside, Nithis walked to edge of the tower keep and leapt off. Moments later, a deep and bellowing inhuman-roar shook the foundations of the castle and a massive black dragon, littered with spines and webbings, arose to the tower keep. Monstrous wings buffeted the castle, sending dust flying and hollow echos throughout the halls. The beast lowered its head, seemingly for William to climb upon. A slithery yet familiar voice wailed, shrill with the sound of madness.

"Come now... hurry."

William's face went blank with a small ammount of fear as he saw his master's gaze shift to him after greeting the vampire. "Oh no! I was so afraid that I'd upset him by reveling too much information that I didn't follow like he told me to. I'm such an imbecile! How could I forget such simple orders so quickly? At least he doesn't seem to be too upset. The king is so kind to let someone as hopelessly incompetent stay here... but wait! Maybe thats why he's sending me on this mission! He's giving me back to White because of how worthless I am, it'd only be a disadvantage to have someone like me on their side..." he thought, the heartbreak clearly on his face as tears began to well in his eyes.

William listened to his master explain the situation to Demio, and with the last sentence his master spoke he seemed to collect himself. As his master uttered those words, "get some actual work done." a smile spread across his face as a new hope entered his mind. The majesty had chosen him to get some actual work done! This wasn't a punishment, it was a sign of his king's trust in him! There were still a number of people in the castle that had been friends with the rabbit, but it was he that the king had chosen for this mission. This new hope gave life to happiness and a swell of pride. "I am useful. This is a reward, not a punishment." he thought a smile now on his face.

While the King was busy examining Demio's hip to make sure that Doomiel wasn't there, William brushed the few tears that had swelling in his eyes away. He didn't want his master to change his mind thinking that he had had another mental breakdown. It had only been a week since the last one, and it might make him unfit for the mission. William listened as his master gave Demio orders to leave the castle, but didn't tell him to follow. For a moment William wondered why they'd be leaving separately, but didn't dwell on it. His master was waiting for him to catch up! William gave a final smile to Demio, "Good bye then, I hope your mission goes well." he said, giving the vampire a small nod before chasing after his master.

William walked into his master's chambers just before his master slammed the door behind them. His master motioned for him to ascend the stairs, and William did so in a rush, almost flying he was moving so fast. He had already wasted enough of his master's time making mistakes, and didn't want to risk his master's patience again. Seeing his master walk off the side of the tower made William's jaw drop and his heart beat faster in fear. No matter how many times he had seen his master do that, he still never got used to it. Seeing his master in his dragon form relieved his tension and he let out a sigh of relief. His master had returned, as he always did. The ease was short lived as his master hurried him along to climb onto his back. William nodded and quickly, though careful not to loose his footing or hurt his king, climbed onto the black dragon's back. He gripped the king's long neck, knowing that they'd be going very fast, very soon.

Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to go and battle!
For Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Needed a bloody rabble.

A kind smile graced his pale face at William's greeting and took a moment to just stare at the creature that, in his opinion, was the sweetest thing in the world. It was heartbreaking to him when the others mocked or criticized him his short-comings, ignoring his good qualities in the process. Nobody seemed to realize just how deliciously dangerous that the holder of Bill the Lizard was since the William was so timid about his own shadow sometimes. Oh if only they could see it. Demio pulled himself out of his personal thoughts as he looked back to the king and listened to his lord's explanation. It was obvious though that both the King and the Lizard, was intensely aware of his missing half- something that was depressingly aware of too. Tweedledee really did dislike it when he wasn't in his elder brother's company, and that was outside of a bedroom... or any other place where they could indulge in their personal intimacies.

The two of them had always been together and it was like a limb was missing whenever the other wasn't present. Doomiel has even admitted that he'd grow increasingly aggitated or out-right hostile to some when Demio wasn't around after a while. The longest they'd ever been seperated was probably four days and that was during an uprising when they'd first gained their titles. That... had been a bad show to say the least. Some of the survivors described it as them loosing their compassion, or any kind of softer emotion which was only appeased only after the uprising finished and they met up again. But none of that mattered right then.

Nithis' explanation earned the king another curious look though Demio. "I see... Well... I suppose I'll let the others know of your decision to go... with... out?" Unable to stop the obvious amount of bafflement Tweedledee watched as the king reached out into the empty space next to him. At the king's look and word of astonishment Demio could only blush as he forced himself into a passive state, while at the same time trying to hold in how much he wanted to just laugh. With the last of his master's orders Demio bowed in respect, then smiling kindly at William's words of encouragement on his mission's success. "Thank you, and may you both return safely." With that they parted ways.

Demio held it in until he turned a corner before he just let out the pent up laughter. He couldn't help it, the king's actions had been just... funny! Lords, he'll have to tell Doomiel about this incident when they returned to each other's company. Wiping away tears of blood from his laughing the vampire only smiled and shook his head as he made his way down the hall with a smile on his face. Greeting those whom he passed and left a message for the cooks to give to the royals about breakfast. After that though, he was making his way down the passage only to pause catching someone talking about... Demio sighed in exasperation. That silly creature must have gotten lost yet again which meant that he'd likely have to find Jabberwocky. Like poor William, the creature was either overly feared, or overly underestimated thanks to his habits. Moving down the halls he began to call loudly to one of the few beings that knew every nook-and-cranny of the castle and the whereabouts of most if not all the residents.

"'Lin-Lin! If you're about I'd like your assistance please!" Demio called out for the doll woman.

abdLin-Lin opened her eyes, and looked around her with a blank expression. She was in the castle, laying on top of her bed. Her hands were gently clasped together over her stomach, and she was wearing the same outfit she had the day before. When Lin-Lin slept she returned to an inanimate state, it was a defense mechanism to protect her while she rested. The only thing that could wake her was her internal clock, or the castle in danger. This time it had been the usual 'time' she woke at. Slowly the doll sat up, "There was something special about today I was supposed to remember. What was it though?" she thought with a small frown, and got out of bed. Her awareness was beginning to return to her as she stood there, staring at the wall. After a few minutes she was awake enough to remember what was so special about that day. "That's right, I have to go to breakfast to meet with everyone." she thought. It wasn't that special, it was a custom that their king had made, and one of the reasons Lin-Lin had chosen to sleep in her room that night, instead of spending the night trimming the maze. She had to leave early and return to the castle so she could attend breakfast on time. "I don't even need to eat. I'd be of more use out trimming those uneven hedges in the maze." she thought, shaking her head slightly.

abdLin-Lin had taken care of the castle grounds before Lord Nithis came to the throne, let alone was born. But she had found the need to keep the grounds looking perfect growing more important with each passing day. The differences in the hedge's height became more noticeable, the weeds poking through the ruins in the back of the castle more grotesque. It felt as though every imperfection was gnawing away at her, and all she could do was fix it. It wasn't that much of an issue that she spent her time gardening, no one would dare attack the fortress while the black king still ruled. Though is someone was foolish enough to try Lin-Lin was usually at an entrance to the castle, her weapons engaged in killed the importance of some plants, though they were always willing to take a break if it meant a taste of flesh from an intruder. Lin-Lin was only hardened clay given a soul and chance to live, her weapons were sometimes disappointed that they had no warmth to hold them, but only cold, hollow fingers. The least she could do was feed them a bit of that lovely red liquid now and then. They were tools for killing those of flesh and blood after all.

abdLin-Lin, now fully aware of her surrounding's and the events of yesterday, walked to her wardrobe to change into something fresh. It would be disgraceful to go to the king dressed in the dirty clothes she wore yesterday. She took a white ru, a red qun, and a black sash and dressed. After she was finished she combed her hair and made a a small pony tail near the top of her head, but in the back, and tied it with a red ribbon. She put her silver earrings in and smiled. She wore the earrings because every time she walked they would hit against each other and make a chiming noise like a bell, and Lin-Lin did love that chiming noise bells made. Pleased with her appearance Lin-Lin slipped on a pair of sandals and walked out of her room and into the hallways, headed towards the dining hall.

abdLin-Lin heard someone call out her name and stopped, looking around. The source of the sound didn't seem too far away, maybe just around the corner? There was no harm in checking, so she turned the corner. Lin-Lin smiled as she saw that her skills hadn't failed her yet. There was one of the vampire twins, oddly enough there was only one of them. Lin-Lin tilted her head to the side in curiosity. "He must of left while I was still asleep." she thought. It was odd for them to be apart, but she could question him about that later. Now that she had a better view of the twin though, she could tell that it was Demio. He tended to be a bit more talkative when separated from his brother than when Doomiel was soloed out. "You called Demio?" she asked, taking another step towards the vampire. He was a lieutenant in the King's army, and one of the few people in the castle that hadn't forgotten to use manners when dealing with people other than the king. It was his practice of etique that made her have a respect for the young vampire.

Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to go and battle!
For Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Needed a bloody rabble.

Demio opened his mouth to call out for the castle guard again only to pause as he caught sight of the black haired female that he'd been in search of. By the look she was giving to him, she'd also realized that his brother was also missing as well. If it weren't so dangerous, I'd suggest that we do this for two weeks just to see if we'd still get the same reaction. Tweedledee thought with a soft smile on his face as she came to him and he greeted her with a courteous bow with a smile. "Oh, Miss. Lin-lin, there you are. I'm sorry for calling out to you like that, but I was wondering if you'd be willing to assist me?" He questioned her politely. The woman before him tended to know the best way to find a person if they're still on the premisses, and he needed help looking for one person in particular.

"I know that you have your own work to get to, but it would seem that Aberdeen has been missing for sometime." The vampire proceeded to inform her on his mission upon Nithis and William's departure. It wasn't really necessary but giving her information usually made sure that anyone looking for him or Doomiel would definitely know his whereabouts. "So, do you think before I head out to get Doomiel, that you could help me look for Jabberwocky? I do not feel right allowing him to wander aimlessly the way he does." If she did agree, he wondered if she'd be able to keep the old thing from getting into unnecessary trouble. Should the doll refuse, that would mean that Abby would have to come with him onto his mission, which wasn't something he minded, but it put Marli in possible danger. It was one thing getting the hatter's aunt killed, totally different thing to get Marli killed because Abby getting gabby.

Not to say that Aberdeen would do it purposely, but he wasn't exactly the brightest at times since he tended to spout his thoughts. And though the White queen wasn't as powerful as their master, she wouldn't hesitate to start a war in retribution. But perhaps... no, that wouldn't do either. Dee thought with a sigh as he considered possible ways to keep the silly thing out of trouble. Either way though, he didn't want for the creature to be without someone to keep him out of trouble. What to do...? What to do...?

abdLin-Lin smiled and gave a nod to Demio at his bow. So many people had forgotten etique since the king's rule... it seemed as though everyone was too busy trying to keep ahead in the king's favor to care for anyone else, especially those who didn't hold much power. Who would stop to smile at some cast away doll left over from a past monarch's reign that not even she remembers? Not many in this day and age, but she appreciated everyone who did. Fortunately for Demio, he was one of these few she held respect for.

abdLin-Lin waited patiently for Demio to finish his appeal before speaking. Her expression was blank, but her eyes held the light of amusement in them. In truth if the vampire would of simply asked her, without all the apologies and carefully placed words about understanding her position, she would of accepted. It was an excuse to get out of the breakfast- though from what he had said she wouldn't of had to go to it anyways. It was such a useless thing, the breakfast meeting, but her master commanded it, and so she obeyed. She was the castle's caretaker, and as such a serf to be inherited by each monarch. A worker loyal to a lord, and in return for services was given stability in an ever changing world.

abdFinally Demio made his final case. Either she could help him find the Jabberwocky, or she could start to garden in the front lawns again, leaving Demio to his own poor devices. "It would be a pleasure to help you find Aberdeen, Demio." she said, a smile on her face. "In fact I already know where he is. If you'd be willing to follow me, it's on the way to your brother's where abouts I'm sure." she said, and turned around. "I agree. I don't like him wondering through my maze as often as he does. He makes my plants skittish when they should be proud. Though his company is sometimes a relief." she said with a light shrug, her earrings jingling like bells as she did so.

abdLin-Lin began to walk down the hall at a brisk pace. "If you'd be willing to follow me, then I'd be more than happy to take you to Twitch. I'll make sure that he sees his way out of the maze safely as well, though I think you would be a better choice in telling him about the King's departure." she said plainly. Aberdeen was the Jaberwocky, but he was as harmless as a newborn kitten without someone to follow. The king's influence on the mighty beast was one of the most interesting that Lin-Lin had the honor of witnessing, it seemed that every time wonderland shifted from one ruler to another that new ruler's mind twisted each previous piece a bit more. It was a fascinating thing to watch over the course of different monarch's reigns, but it was also sad in some cases. She had seen the change in title holders more than a few times because of such twists. Murder and suicide came from a mind that could not hold any new impressions, and yet had them being forced upon it. The mind is a fragile thing, and under too much pressure they often shatter. When a mind shatters the rest of the body follows suit, sometimes it takes a few more lives along with it.

abdLin-Lin turned a corner and continued walking at her quick pace. "I would, but he'll no doubt ask more questions than I know the answer to." she said, knowing that the Jabberwocky was a curious fellow. It was probably one of the reasons why he always wondered into her maze. If he had a better sense of direction he wouldn't need her to get him out of it all the time though.
