(Welcome to the game! Here is the basic overview of how this is going to work. There will be no defined rounds, as I have to work and a lot of people are busy, and people are going to be jumping in and out of the RP as much as they would like. SO, I am aiming to keep this fairly loose.
Every ‘good’ character has a set numbed of HP, but we’re going to call it EP. It works the same as if you’re doing damage in some of the other fight RPs, but it is NOT a reflection of how hurt your character is unless you want it to be: EP is Energy.
That’s the goal here, for the Negaverse.
So. All Senshi, Knights, and Civilians have set EP levels. You decide on injuries and when your EP reaches 0 that does not mean you are out of the game: it simply means you are severely weakened. Even if you are a disposable, reaching 0 does NOT mean you have died!
Death posts will come after (likely the next post or so), so everyone can go out with a flare if they so desire. Or miserably in a corner, or on complete accident. You know, whatever. =]
The Negaverse do have HP.
How to Play:
Civilians: 100 HP/EP First Rank Powereds: 125 HP/EP Second Rank Powereds: 150 HP/EP Third Rank Powereds: 175 HP/EP Forth Rank Powereds: 200 HP/EP
Every round, which will be announced by a shout post you may 1 100 sided dice to determine how much damage you do to/how much energy you steal from your opponent. For the Negaverse, this number is also damage when they are targeting an opponent. Everyone may only target one opponent for one damage roll per round.
Because the Negaverse are draining energy from unnamed civilians as well as played characters, they can roll to drain energy whenever they post so long as it is not a powered character, or against a disposable powered character! It is just a number value to add to their collection total! It can be against a played civilian or a disposable/randomly thrown in innocent bystander as needed or wanted and is not a damage roll. If you want to kill one of these bystanders (self played, or feel free to kill any civilian Lithia_Brandon throws in this way) civs with a roll of 2, go for it.
These rules will change at night and when I am at work, unless someone takes over with the round shout posts.
FEEL FREE to throw in disposable civilians at any time. You do not have to give them names if you don’t want to, or even keep them alive longer than one post. If you need one, use one, and have fun. If you want to play one for someone else, go for it.
Disposable powereds should still be posted in this thread, just so I can take a peek.
After your energy reaches 0 you can still roll every half hour, if you would like and if ICly you haven’t been taken out of the fight. You can only roll 1 10 sided dice, however. But every effort counts?
Goals:
The Negaverse wants to drain as much energy as possible. There will be a running total of how much energy they collect before the end of the RP. Do your faction proud, and collect as much as you can while defending yourself against the real senshi! And don’t forget, there are civilians here that need to stay alive to spread the word about terrorists. No one kills the mayor, or the media professionals, or Painite will be cross.
Senshi and knights, obviously, want to defeat all the Negaverse agents. This is easier said than done, as there are a lot of them and, unfortunately, they are organized. But senshi and knights are nothing if not responsive, and quick thinking and teamwork will aid greatly in the effort! Protect the civilians!
Civilians… just try to not die. You can help whoever you want, be as confused or as knowledgeable, useful or not, as you’d like. Terrorists are crazy, man.
This is a work in progress, and as the game begins and moves, we will have to see together if it will work! Energy/HP adjustments, rolling times and amounts are subject to change as needed.)

General Painite had summoned her little group of Negas for one final pre-attack meeting before they would descend on the meeting happening within the dining hall.
It was one of the biggest buildings in town, and had been rearranged to seat as many people as possible around small, circular tables that would have been completely ineffective if any dining had actually been going on there. At one end of the long room there was a small rise that passed as a stage, where the speakers and Council members were sitting. Around the edges of the room, standing against the walls or sitting in pilfered chairs, were the video and print media with their recorders and cameras in hand.
Some people were still arriving, filtering into the packed space with the aid of ushers, kids being paid ten bucks an hour to stand around and pretend they knew what they were doing, while having no idea how many people they were actually supposed to let in. Any real semblance of security, two old rent a cops that seemed better suited for a mall, were standing on either side of the 'stage'.
All this, Painite told her gathered group, looking around at the assembled faces. They all looked a bit silly, in their costumes, hiding as they were on the roof of a building nearby, but she didn't seem to notice. To her they looked like a proud and unmatched squad of soldiers. Willing and capable of doing anything.
Looking silly in the name of the Negaverse wasn't the worst they could be asked to do.
Painite looked at Captain Bismuthite singularly now, ready to give them all their tasks. There were simple guidelines for them all to follow, and 'just in case' ideas.
"I need you to be my second, if you don't mind, Captain. If anything goes wrong, if anything happens that I don't see, I need you to be my second set of eyes. Keep the Lieutenants in order, and the mission on task. We're here to gather energy, and if Senshi show up, we will take theirs as well."
She knew Osumilite was not present because he was down at the meeting already, playing the role of a television reporter. He was good at that by now, Painite imagined, as it was what he did every night on the local news. At least tonight it might be of some use.
Her eyes then moved to Realgar, Sugilite, Jarosite, Chromite, and Pyrite.
"You guys know the goals here. Gather as much energy as possible, and put those senshi to shame. I am sure it won't take long for some of those ever vigilient do-gooders to show up, and if you get in a jam against one you need to have each other's back. I don't want to see anyone fighting alone, do you understand me? I don't care what you have to do, just keep aware of each other, and aid one another.
Jarosite, Realgar, I need you boys to keep an escape plan B in the back of your mind. There are windows and doors. You need to block them to keep our little energy sources inside, but I would also like you to be our way out should anything go wrong and I or the Captain can't teleport everyone out. I should be able to handle it, but if anything happens, we need a distraction and an escape. Can you boys handle that?
Pyrite, Chromite, Sugilite, as ladies you fill the roll of a senshi terrorist much better. I hope you've brushed up on your acting skills, because you guys, even more than the boys, really need to hammer home whatever message you want about how terrible the senshi are, just to keep those hapless civilians cowering in terror. No being nice."
The only one of these ladies that she didn't know, and thus did not have absolute faith in, was Pyrite, but she was certain the Lieutenant was just as capable as the others. In fact, she was confident that the night was going to go awesomely, and this was a team to be proud of. She did not imagine they would let themselves, the Negaverse, or her down, but then, she rarely stopped to consider such things of anyone, at anytime. And there were more, at least she hoped, that she hadn’t accounted for and would come to aid them. She didn’t know Captain Borgite was inside amongst the media as well, for example.
Inside, the throng of people were settling, though there was always a hum in the air of electronics and private conversations that were apparently too important to silence, even as the Council members began to speak. It wouldn't take long for the subject to switch to the missing people, and to the terrorists that plagued the city. It never did.
There was a short, bald man at the microphone at the moment, stuttering his way through his supposed encounter with a terrorist, and his explanation for the missing people. His wife stood beside him, valiantly trying not to look annoyed and bored by what she very clearly did not believe to be a real story. Behind him, Council Seat 4 was stifling a yawn with his wrinkling, liver spotted hand.

(This round is basically an introduction! No rolls will take place, and it will only last a short while.
You can jump in at ANY TIME, even if you are not here for this intro.
Any character I use that is written in bold italics can be killed, maimed, energy drained, knocked out or what have you at any time.
Feel free to post, and have fun! PM me any questions or suggestions you might have, and I will work to keep things simple and organized <3)

Sugilite shifted slightly, the zipper on the back of her dress pressing uncomfortably into her shoulderblades. She had gone to a costume shop, gotten the most ludicrous ballerina costume she could find, and then taken it farther. Every place where there hadn't been anything, she had put something. A bow, glitter, or lace.
She crouched as primly as she could, keeping low against the roof. The amount of light reflected off her costume would attract any eyes that glanced up, if she was visible from the street below. Her hair was pulled into two piggy tails, held up with the same light-blue bows that festooned her costume, and in the pockets sewn into her uniform there were bags of confetti and glitter, to throw if necessary. She was as ready as she could ever get.
Shifting again, and fighting the urge to fiddle with the zipper, she spoke, raising a gloved hand.
"Er, excuse me Captain, but are we draining or pulling starseeds?"

Kyndall arrived early to the meeting. She'd cleared her schedule for it specially. She sat near the front, fuming in righteous anger. This event was not only important to her, it was personal. This was about her daughter now gone for nearly two weeks. She was slowly learning about the world around her, gathering bits and pieces a little at a time. She was becoming more secure in that knowledge and tonight she wanted answers from those in charge of public safety.
What was the official stance on these girls? What efforts were being made to bring the missing people home? Did anyone on the Council not affected by this recent happening give a damn at all or were they content to give lip service comfort and nothing more?
She looked like a wreck. Anyone who knew her would see it. She had on the equivalent of track clothes, baggy and unflattering but comfortable and her hair was unkempt. She didn't have any makeup on and looked like she hadn't smiled for weeks. Which was somewhat true though she might have smiled a few brief times. To anyone her knew her at all, students or friends, she looked nothing like her usual peppy wannabe glamorous self. In fact, if she were really looking at herself right now she wouldn't like what she saw.
She only hoped more concerned citizens showed up tonight, too, to find answers.

Leona Davies sat in her chair was politely was she could while the little bald man talked about his incident with the terrorists. She wiggled around in her seat, clutching onto a picket sign that said “CLEAN UP OUR CITY”. Leona was fighting her urge to interrupt; everyone should have his or her five minutes. About half way through the man’s speech, she couldn’t take it anymore. The woman was just as doubtful as the man’s wife about his story, and frankly she didn’t care about it. There were more important things to discuss in this meeting, like what they were going to do about the mess left behind on 23rd St. after ‘an attack’.
Climbing up to stand on her chair, Leona interrupted. She waved her sign around and basically just started shouting. “What about the city? For the greater good, the needs of many above one!” Her eyes scrunched up as she looked at the bald man. “There’s bigger issues then some skimpy outfitted terrorists, who I don’t think really exists, LIKE THE FACT PEOPLE DON’T CARE ABOUT RECYCLING ANYMORE.” Leona lifted up a crumbled pop can she found outside the building. “I found THIS outside, like 5 minutes ago. “

Painite grinned at Sugilite, nodding her head at the question.
"Either way. Whatever suits you best. As much energy as you can drain, or starseeds if you can. We're making a statement here, after all. Whatever you think leaves the most impact."
Painite, for her part, planned on pulling a few starseeds. And she hoped quite ardently that one of them, at least, would belong to a knight. It had become something of an obsession, and she was eager to start her collection. How could she call it a collection when she didn't even have one yet?
Not for long, she hoped.
Painite's costume was white and cream, with slightly brown gears and gizmos made from pieces of metal and painted. She had put a lot of effort into her work, though she had much more time to prepare her costume than the others. In her mind, she was the Senshi of Steampunk.
Or Villainy.
"S-sit down!" Bald and short bellowed at Leona, "I-I hav-ve the m-mic! It's m-my turn t-to speak-k!" Ironically, that can had belonged to him. How had she found it, and then managed to call him on it? Was she stalking him? Was he being paranoid? Was she with them?

Lucien had his picket sign ready, having painted it the night before. It wasn't the most brilliant piece of work in the world - he'd been high when he worked on it. Still, what he had was as far as his energy went. He was too lazy to do anything better. After all, this wasn't about signs. It was about the corporate machine keeping him down. The Man was letting all this chaos happen and he was going to do something about it.
Of course he had to sit in the back.
The woven hat he had on covered his mass of blond dreadlocks. His woven vest sagged open over his tye dyed tee shirt declaring Save the Whales (or possibly Save the Manatees because the two shirts looked nearly the same and he didn't bother to read it when he put it on. They were both about ocean life being saved which was enough for him.) Anyway, chicks seemed to dig his socially aware vibe and the weed didn't do anything but help in that arena.
Yes, college chicks rock.
With his head down and his sign on its stick tucked neatly in front of him, Lucien waited for the meeting to start. Maybe he'd end up getting laid for all his effort tonight. He grinned as he thought about it and kept his eyes peeled for a cute girl who just might have a thing for guys in the know.

But Leona wouldn't shut up or sit back down. Instead she chucked the pop can at the man with the microphone. "How do you think the Earth FEELS?! It's awful isn't it?"

Jarosite gave a nod to Painite, eyes flicking over the group. Most of the agents there he didn't recognize, though he sort of recognized Bismuthite from the overall Negaverse meeting.
"Will do, ma'am. Also. If a senshi with loops in her hair and a swan on her bust appears, leave that one for me," he said to the group, having had experience with her many many times before.
His costume had been thrown together last night with the help of his sister. So that had to be why he was in a bright purple shirt, matching shorts (that were a little too short), and a bunch of streamers coming out of his butt, with a Christmas bow.
"Superhero of My Little Pony!" his sister had all but screamed when she designed it (in crayon) for him.
He felt kinda like a girl... one that stuck out. He wanted his jacket baaaack....

Tate wanted to shake the vast majority of the people in the crowd, like the idiot girl standing on her chair. Recycling wouldn't be much a problem if you were dead, now would it? Still, a City Council meeting was not a place to stand on chairs or shout. There'd be a public question and answer session soon, and Tate could get up to ask her question and then head home. Civil law classes were a pain, but she had to deal with them to graduate, and to pass the course she had to deal with...
Well, this bullshit.
Still, it was something to do when not otherwise occupied, and if there was ever someone who couldn't stand to be still, it was Tate Konstantin. She did have a niggling feeling that something was wrong, though. Weren't these a little bit less crowded? And she didn't remember an entire camera crew or a reporter being really necessary for City Council. But then, she was a criminal law major, not a media studies major. She could be wrong. Hopefully, she was.
Mina Touchstone loved her job. And her life. Things were going pretty great on all sides--a recent promotion from intern-at-large to civil affairs intern in her professional life, good grades in her school life, a new boyfriend in her romantic life--and another promotion in the secret life she lived after dark. Lieutenant Borgite had recently upgraded to Captain Borgite, and her wussy little plastic axe had turned into an axe, the kind you might use to chop wood. And had she known of General Painite's plan, she might have been up there right then clad in ribbons and bows.
She wasn't, though, and that meant she was fetching coffee, sorting papers and generally keeping an eye on things. It was boring, but it was less boring than being stuck in the studio taking calls all night!

"You know Duckie?" She grinned, remembering how it felt to hold that senshi's starseed in her hand, and how much fear she had seen in the young girl's eyes as she broke down and cried in fear of dying. That had been one of Painite's more memorable moments, certainly, and she strove to rival that feeling again.
"Alright, you can have her to yourself, but only if you can handle her without endangering yourself or your comrades. The second you seem to start failing in that, and someone," she looked around the group, "will step in and help. If anyone else has any further personal vendettas, please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate. And then quickly forget and focus on the job we're here to do, instead."
She winked at her lieutenant, almost playfully. But her expression quickly got serious, and she moved to the edge of the roof.
"I think now is a good time to begin moving in. The building looks near capacity, and they'll start closing the doors soon. Our points of entry are on the roof."
With that, she teleported away, reappearing on said roof and waiting for the others to arrive. There were already entries prepared: a hatch from the small attic of the building, which was meant for insulation and even some small amount of storage but was largely forgotten about. The tiles of the roof below were simple enough to burst through.
Thus giving them a terrifically dramatic entrance, unless they managed to trip and fall. She would have Jarosite and Realgar go through the front and back doors, and make sure those exits were sealed. No one was going to get out.
Inside, short and bald was screeching like a banshee, waving his damning finger at Leona and swearing up and down that she was a terrorist. His exasperated wife was trying to calm him, very much like a despondent teacher tried to calm one of the hundreds of kids that cried at her every day. All the ruckus would likely put a damper on Lucien's plan to get laid.
A Camera man was standing near Mina, as he often did when she wasn't looking at him, staring at her and wondering what to say to her that would be witty and charming and in no way creepy. Unfortunately, thinking was not his strong point, so he ended up staring, camera resting on his shoulder as the other media folk milled around them, for a very long time.

Kyn didn't quite care about the can Leona found on the sidewalk. To hell with the aluminum can and recycling. She wanted answers. Since the man with the mic was already distracted and quiet she took her opportunity. She stood, clearing her throat as she did and gathering up all of her indignation to lay before them.
"This meeting is all very well and good but nothing you've said about any of this implies action. What will you do to find the citizens of this town and bring them home? Do any of you even care? Are you affected? If this were your children, wives, husbands, sisters, or brothers, would you still sit imperiously by and suffer without answers?"
They'd released Kyn the public speaker. The impassioned public speaker. The one with a cause. The performer.
"These girls. These attacks. They destroy our city and kill our people. How many children were killed when that school was attacked and destroyed? How many people swear they were attacked by monsters here? What are you doing about that? About these girl terrorists we read about in the papers?"
She wasn't being fair to them but she didn't care. She could hear the crowd stirring and wanted them behind her. Of course the Council was only human and what she was quickly learning was that this other world wasn't exactly on the same human level as they were but they invited this debate. She was just bringing the real issues into the forefront. She slid her hands to her hips and turned to face her fellow citizens.
"How long are we going to live under this grip of terror, living in fear that any moment our lives will be shattered with no control over the happening?" She turned her eyes back to the Council. "It's your job to protect us from any threat. We need to know, as citizens, what your plan is. How you plan on dealing with these...terrorists?"

Penelope bit her lip to keep from crying out as she settled into her chair, taking a position in the middle rows. She never sat in the back; she couldn't hear or see from back there. But she'd never sit in the front; she didn't want that much scrutiny and attention, even when she was in class. Her arm was in a sling to keep it still, but that didn't mean her injured shoulder didn't hurt. The wound stretched deep into her muscle, meaning that any time she moved she could feel a spike of pain. The more she moved, the more it hurt. Still, she wasn't going to complain; the teenager had practically begged Tallulah, the civilian behind Eternal Sailor Europa, to let her come too despite her injury in order to gather information for the Jovian Court.
Still, she winced when the shouting match between the loud woman and the man with the microphone started up, partially from a rising headache and partially because she just didn't like fighting. She reminder herself, however, that her presence was important. Her time in the hospital had prevented her from being on top of the goings on in Destiny City, and she needed to be caught up to speed. Penelope visibly paled as another woman began to rail about Senshi being terrorists, pinning all of the current troubles on them. Soon, she promised herself internally, gripping the fabric of her skirt in her good hand. Soon we'll be able to show them the truth, that it isn't us...
She just hoped that no one from the Negaverse or the new Dark Moon Court showed up to make things more dfficult.
