Be The Change You Want To See
Q: why don't i get bumps?
A: don't expect people to powder your butt & kiss it when you bump other peoples threads 3-6 times per glow they will remember you
they will remember you and repay the favor and bump your thread when you glow when you contribute back to the community the community will contribute back to you
when you do good things for others good things will happen in return good cause + effect = good things
when you reach that level of respect don't waist it pass it on to the next person i hope this helps you

Funny you should post this............
While it is good in theory .....the reality is..... some people don't like to bump and will not make the effort. I bump all the time....and not just once or twice during a glow most of the time. There are many times it doesn't come back to me. I still bump.
We have a real lack of community and it's about time we start helping one another. All the preaching in the world is not going to change some people's attitudes though I fear.
Selfish little suckers that they are! Only want to fill their own pockets and the hell with everyone else!

I always bump at least once, it's the least I can do to thank the tank owner. If someone bumps me while glowing, I grab and bump back, even though they usually only bump without grabbing me, just to advertise their own glow. That some people never bump is a pity, but it's always been like that, and bumping them ain't gonna help sweatdrop

The majority of people don't bump - that's just the reality of it, but the booty grab community is full of some really nice people who do bump and bumping back and bumping repeatedly does help get your thread bumped more. it's also just the nice thing to do For those who aren't online as much, they really depend on others to promote their thread. some even resort to gifts and contests to promote bumping and that can be a significant profit loss if not enough people actively bump sad for good karma good profit always

This is kind of like the "Is the cap half-empty or half'-full" barometer check on your attitude (ie - 'half empty' means you're a pessimist and 'half full' means you're an optimist. Neither answer made much sense to me - too easy a judgment. I used to say mine was half full, but it was the top half - and it was surprising how many people got really angry when I said that. They did NOT want to think in new ways. Labels...are easier.
So, what is your point? To be the best labeler around, or to start change going? Because change WILL happen, however you evaluate its value to you. It is very hard to keep anything static. Why not look for what works?
I have a laptop that freezes if you look at it. (It doesn't cringe, it just sits and stares - unless it totally jams. I am trying to pry my desperate fingers loose from it to take it into the shop for a repair and a memory upgrade. (I am just the wee, tiniest bit possessive about my laptop...When I first got my heater on and the old dust burning off smelled like fire, I ran out of the house barefoot with my computer in my arms!
I hope y'll don't mind, but I prefer to go with the practical - I will use whatever works, no matter how unlikely it looks to someone else. I make a game out of bumping a friend's tank when a thread is too packed for me to actually play (which is pretty common for me these days). I have actually MADE friends that way, and been bumped by people who would verbally rip my head off if I spoke to them. A lot just depends on your perspective.....and your perceptions have a major influence on the results you get.
Sometimes a little laughter or thoughtfulness go a long way - and sometimes a good stare or a single short comment will get someone's attention to rethink something. Always try to create room for choice - offering two 'good' choices is an old trick moms use on kids all the time.
And I am up wayyyyyy past my bedtime...I think it shows. Lol. I just joined and thanks for the invite.

When I do Grab a booty on a tank, I always bump.. sometimes I just use emotes like: heart biggrin smile , then sometimes I say Thanks, thank U R Thank U very much, depending on my mood at the time, but I do bump something.. I usually only bump 1 time per glow, cuz I thought that was how U suppose 2 do it... I do tip all bumpers of my glow... But I go by the time I was glowing & only tip 1 time per person 4 each glow no matter how many bumps...

Yeah - I've learned it's the techniques rather than the facts that I really retain...

I guess it's because they reinforce the techniques vs the seemingly random facts.

Naw - it's because the patterns apply to many more situations. I tend to think in patterns, more than words.

I think for the most part this is true... I personally like to bump... it's like I feel guilty if I take money from their tank and don't so I always bump before I grab as well as after if there is enough time to do so otherwise I will just grab to not lose the glow at the last second.
I have been bumping my own glows though were it's like... so many minutes in and like 15 people have grabbed and now with that convenient link in the tank screen... some jerks just still wont even throw you a bone.. or say anything..
I like to have convos in my thread with my friends but other than that I'm all emotes... unless someone hanks me or posts something other than a bump GIF... then I always feel the need to thank them since they are helping me... not just themselves..
.....///vent..*faints*
