This is going to be a joint naming dream contest. This means that two people will be entering together, and competing as a pair. It is up to you how you want to decide who gets which twin, so be sure to enter with someone you can agree with!
So, how does this thing work? You will be writing a shared naming dream-- meaning that the twins' dreams are related in some way. It is up to you how you want to write the naming dream and how you want them to relate. You can write one for either twin, or you can write one combined dream-- it's up to you. The dream can also be in any format you desire-- poetry, prose, or even art. Have fun with it!

Entry: The wind had grown cool, the water cold in the marshes. Berries hung heavy and ripe on the vines and their sweet smell hung enticing on the wind. The Setting sun seemed to light the very sky on fire and sent many back to their caves or the warm close places they found safe. The Falling leaves drifted and danced on the wind, dry and colorful like fire themselves. Red, orange, gold and brown, they were pleasant to smell but poor of taste. It was the Season of Plenty but it warned of the coming cold; the last embers of a day that would slip into a winter night.

a) Spotlight Shines Far can almost be read as a sentence
b) The way their patterns are set up, with the girl as a continuous light and the boy as broken segments just seemed to work for them
c) Finally, though the names sound alike subject wise, they are actually opposites. Shine's light covers everything, proving just as adventurous as she, while Spot's only illuminates one part and ties in with his more grounded nature.Entry:
It was warm, in the darkness. Bodies pressed together against the chill of the night, familiar and safe and warm. Floating in the darkness, another half, another part of a whole. Together, yet never fully one. The same flames streak cross their flanks, the same warmth echoes in both pairs of eyes. The same, yet not. One is smaller, delicate. One is larger, sturdy. Together. They make one, yet walk in separate bodies. All shown brightly, across the womb
Their palace built for two
But what they had, a dream to see
And of a memory not quick to flee. A streak of color, laughter and joy, and she moved through the darkness. The world felt soft beneath her hooves, each step bouncing from the ground as she gazed onward. A grand forest loomed ahead, illuminated by its own vibrant life. The trees that reached for the warmth in the sky, blocking her view. Oh but she knew - she knew! She knew it was there. Hiding behind green that made her grin and glee. Green like family. She darted round the trunks, cross pools of water that reflected the warm darkness, the glowing life. But it did not catch her eye. It did not hold her fast. Somewhere. Beyond the trees. Beyond the swamp. Beyond stone, mud, and buzzing life, there was that light. That warmth, that love. Follow, follow, she laughed into the darkness. Follow me, find the light that Shines Far away. We'll find it together, just you and me! Shine far, speed fast

These things you've made so free A stretch of muscle, sinew and bone, and he moved through the darkness. Each step was careful, each glance purpose and calm. There was so much to explore, so much to know! Just right here, right beneath his hooves now. No single lifetime would be enough, he was sure, to learn all the secrets of this magical world. Echoes gazed down, brilliance to behold, as the light glimmered and grew beneath his eyes. There it was, just waiting for him. A Spotlight so strong, it illuminated all. Hold back, hold back, he called, revealing his mirth. Hold back, look below your hooves, and see the light! We have found it, just you and me! Spot lights, shine down

Of all you could ever be Onward she ran, towards the distant light. There he remained, smiling to the brilliant light. Both with their wishes, their desires, their wants. Both with their hopes that the light would always stay. The darkness was warm, comfort and love. But the light? The light held something neither could ignore. Together, they walk this land without pause. Together, they whisper, laugh, and applaud. For they are one, waking in separate bodies. In their dreams they are one, the darkness that keeps them warm. Entry: Fire, glowing red and gold, rages through the night. The swampland beneath it, choked with greenery and the burden of life, burns to ashen black, to nothingness, but not to death. No, with every gust of wind and roar of flame lies a fiery new beginning, for the Motherfather, for her children, and also for two figures dancing above the swampfire. Its a pair of white feathers, golden in the firelight, riding precariously on the heated breath of the wildfire. Together they persevere through the smoke and flames, the sparks and burning debris, each never leaving the other's side, not even when a determined plume of flame snares one's feathery tip, setting it alight. Hardly a moment later its companion has joined it, burning with his sister.
Yet instead of taking them down, the flames seem to imbue the pair with new spirit. Where once they danced, now they fly, winging above the flames and through burning crowns of the trees, soaring into the sky, burnished by their fire and the light of the new dawn.

Entry:
The beat begins with a soft thump, thump. One by one the shadows rise around the bonfire, large feet kicking up dust into vortexes that climb with the heat. They do not pause or look to their brothers for guidance - this dance has been passed down by their ancestors and flows through their blood like molten ore through a mold. The drums grow slowly louder, faster, to a thunderous boom, Boom, BOOM, signaling to the world that the time of fire-fever was nigh.
The fire rises as the feet stomp. The flames licking at the air, searching for fuel, wanting more. A spark flies high in the air, landing gently in the dirt, lost to the fire. Red, orange, yellow seen as the flames burn hotter and brighter with the drums. The fire following the movement of those around it. Searching for the one... The one of heat that would let them burn hotter, farther.
Suddenly, the drums stop, and the shadows become motionless. One among them steps through the crowd. Tendrils of fire snake through his fingers and around his wrists, he leaves a trail of charred ground as he steps, and his eyes smoulder like dying coals. He raises one hand, wisps of smoke rising around him.
The fire flickers towards him in greeting, rising up to meet him, placing a kiss of heat against his palms.
With a cry of joy, the dance begins again, the molten shadow leading his brethren in a ring round the flames.
And the fire swells with pride.

She holds herself like him.
A reflection perceived.

Dark is but night, sight without light.
One begins, other ends. Building up and fade away.
Here we lie, here we dream, sound but distant, nigh.
Waiting, watching, wishing, a hope just passing by.
A spark, a flitter, something starts anew
Lonely heart, self depart, all we bid adieu.
Eyes bright, heart cries out, a chance, now to speak.
Passion high, blossom, fly, fan into flame.
It blooms, then withers, fade, and falter
A voice that sings, soon to end.
As what goes up, must come down,
So chatter, speak, dim down, no sound.
It flickers, descending, quieting down,
As the flames surrender, finish and fade.

After a few days, Evelastina and I have finally narrowed our choices down to two entries. There were some really good ones in here, and it was honestly a tough choice in narrowing them down. So tough, in fact, that we're going to let the dice determine the outcome.
