Skills/Magic:

Sword

Some existing sword techs

“Crimson blast” -punches an opponent causing a small explosion of mana, which knocks them down.

“Crimson Rend” – swings sword to cause a crescent-shaped blade of energy the shape of the sword swing flying in front of him

“Dust Devil” – Charges the orb with wind and throws it at an enemy, if it connects, it creates a small area of swirling winds that sends the opponent straight up, causing fall damage or setting up for an aerial combo.

“Rough Seas” – Charges the orb with the water element and throws it at a group of enemies. On contact, it explodes, sending high-pressured water everywhere.

“Stone Throw” – Charges the orb with earth mana, causing it to encase itself in stone. Rhone throws this into an enemy.

“Shadow Siphon” – Charges the orb with the darkness element and sends it at an opponent. On contact, absorbs some life energy from the target and returns it to Rhone.

“Shining Siphon” – Charges the orb with the light element and sends it at an opponent. On contact, absorbs some TP and returns it to Rhone.

Mystic Arte
"Transcend": Rhone concentrates all the mana in his body, closing off his ability to regenerate himself and instead using that energy to power himself up, changing his appearance and abilities. Can only be used with a high-mana catalyst and causes tremendous strain on Rhone the longer he keeps the form up.

"Mana Rift": Only usable while "Transcend" is active. Rhone uses all his strength to attempt to forcibly tear the mana out of living enemies nearby. Those who cannot resist are terminated instantly. Those that can resist, however, still likely facing serious injury. Ends "Transcend" and puts Rhone in critical condition until he can regenerate mana.

Physical Description:
User Image
A tall and slender man, 7' even, thin, but has some muscularity, and gray skin. Wears a strange hat on his head in memory of his fallen soulmate.

Personality: Inquisitive and curious to a fault, leading to many disasters he has caused himself over the years. Puts on a stoic facade to hide his uneasiness at his future of being immortal. Tries not to get too close to people given he'll outlive them eventually, but does not treat anyone badly because of it. He seems to enjoy combat to a degree and doesn't mind teaching others both how to fight and how to utilize magic. Sometimes has a flair for the over-dramatic, but mostly to study how others react.

Bio: He was born and raised in Heimdall. Like any other elf, he learned the ways of the forest and of mana itself. Unlike other elves, however, he preferred using hand to hand combat tactics and his proficiency with magic over bows. His sister, Meridae was chosen to become the village healer, like her mother, while Rhone was to inherit the position of war-chief once he came of age. The day Rhone turned 12 and Meridae was 9, Rhone was permitted to go on a hunt for wild game without the aid of his teacher, receiving a hand-made stone dagger from Meridae to commemorate the occasion. Meridae followed along in case Rhone was injured, despite no one but Rhone knowing she had done so. Rhone decided to let her stay due to his confidence in both his battle prowess and her healing skill. The hunt went well…until the end. Rhone and Meridae were attacked by a pack of wolves, which they sensed had a particular energy among them. Rhone did his best to protect his sister, but in the fight, he was injured while Meridae’s side was bitten, causing a mortal wound. Rhone sprinted back to the village as fast as his injured body would carry him, but Meridae died in his arms. Rhone managed to make it back to his parents and deliver his sister’s body to them before apologizing and passing out from blood loss.

At the age of 15, tormented by his failure to protect someone he cared about and believing he was not worth leading Heimdall's soldiers, he decided to leave the village to see the world outside, much to the chagrin of his parents. After wondering around aimlessly for a few weeks, hunting with his magic and using the dagger Meridae gave him, he meets Aurelia, a warrior who uses a rapier and a buckler for combat and wears a strange hat, who attempts to save him from a pack of monsters. Only, when she gets to him, she notices he’s dispatching the foes with his magic effectively. Aurelia leads Rhone to a group of mercenaries she's a member of called the Red Moon Pirates, known for stealing strictly from other pirates and giving back whatever valuables they can to their point of origin while selling the rest. There he meets Max, Aurelia's best friend and someone Rhone will know for years to come. They travel together to a nearby town and Aurelia allows Rhone to pick a weapon out for him to use. Rhone chooses a katana, and he begins working under the flag of the Red Moon with Aurelia.

Seven years pass and things have changed significantly. Rhone and Aurelia, having fallen in love and deciding to settle down, retire from the Red Moon Pirates. They offer to take Max with them, but she refuses before offering a cheerful, if tear-ridden, goodbye. Rhone gives Aurelia an engagement ring the night before they embark on a final, well-paying mission to recover an artifact with unknown powers that someone had stolen. The next day, when they embark on their quest, they see a strange man with purple skin, red eyes, and a somewhat familiar face. The man calls himself Dameo. Rhone and Aurelia realize this is the person they’re looking for and assume that he has discovered the powers hidden in the artifact. They prepare themselves, but that isn’t enough. Dameo's strength is beyond what they had anticipated and he is able to fend them both off easily. He casts a spell that takes control of Aurelia’s body and forces her to attack Rhone. Aurelia, still in control of her speech, begs Rhone to end her, as otherwise she'll simply kill him and then likely be killed afterward. Rhone, reluctant to kill the one he loves, begs for her to stop as he deflects most of her blows. Unfortunately Aurelia is unable to fight against Dameo's spell, and the next thing Rhone remembers is Aurelia on the end of his blade.vvDameo simply laughs and flies away, telling Rhone to come challenge him at the top of the tallest of the Fooji Mountains. There, Rhone holds the dying Aurelia, again in control of herself. Aurelia states that she doesn't want her last moments alive to be full of anger and Rhone embraces her in a kiss, her life ebbing as they hold each other. Once her strength fails her and she breathes her last, Rhone buries her in that spot using her rapier as a headstone and taking her hat with him to remember her by, his sights set on nothing but avenging his betrothed.

Before going, Rhone seeks help from the scientists at the research lab in Sybak. After some…..convincing……they give him an experimental Exsphere that gains its power from absorbing the life force of whatever Rhone kills instead of draining from its host. Deciding the only thing that can defeat Dameo is something even worse, Rhone uses an old book to travel to Niflheim and begins slaying demons, eventually staining the exosphere a deep red, and imbuing Rhone with strength. He then ascends the highest peak of the Fooji Mountains, with Aurelia’s ring, hat, and his new Exsphere ready to battle Dameo with every forbidden power he could weild. Rhone succeeds in winning, but just before the final blow, his Exsphere runs haywire, causing a massive mana explosion. Rhone wakes up feeling different from before. His skin is gray, he can feel mana coursing through his veins, and he soon realizes that his aging has stopped. He also finds that Dameo did not leave a corpse, leading Rhone to assume the man was disintegrated in the blast. He decides to live his life the best he can as almost four centuries pass. During the years he reunites with Max and they begin traveling together. Now the two worlds are one, and Rhone is enjoying the new scenery and the knowledge he finds in it. In secret, Rhone tries to find ways to resurrect both Aurelia and Meridae with every attempt ending in both disaster and enlightenment. Deeply troubled by his failures, he continues to search for whatever knowledge he thinks will help his goals. His travels will soon unite him with new allies, and perhaps he will finally find peace with himself.

Quotes(s):
Victory - That was a pleasant distraction.
Low health – Not good...wounds aren't closing...
Repeat battle (same enemy) – Alright, if you want.
Dying – Time...for a rest...
Strong enemy – Aura...Mer...Give me strength...
Weak enemy – You've made some mistakes today.
Killing an enemy – Hmm.
Fleeing – No one dies today!
Being brought back to life – Much appreciated.
Attacks not working – Damn, waste of mana...

Fave Food Type: Any type of meat. He was born to be a hunter and knows how to cook practically anything that was once alive.
Other Notes: Because of his strange biology and ties to mana, he is incredibly light for his size and compensates by imbuing his strikes with mana. His health is directly tied to the same source he uses for his attacks.

Gaianame: Fedora Warrior

Character Name: Hunter Talos

Roleplay: New Tomorrow

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Race: Half-Elf

Allignment: Neutral Good

Class:Armored Warrior

Weapon(s): A blade taller than he is…and almost as wide.

Skills/Magic:
Dual-Strike: Slashes sideways across an enemy or group of enemies, spins the blade around his head, and slashes again, this time with enough force to throw the enemies back.

Blade Rush: Leaps forward with the tip of his blade facing forward, impaling enemies in a straight line.

Giga-Crash: Raises his sword above his head and swings it down with maximum force. Knocks enemies down and causes massive damage, but the charge time leaves Hunter open for a few seconds.

Broadside: Quickly smacks the enemy with the blunt side of his blade, possibly stunning them.

Heavy Swing: Swings his sword sideways as hard as he can in a wide arc. Any enemies hit suffer heavy damage and are sent flying back. Leaves Hunter open for a few seconds after the swing.

Blade Block: Stabs his blade into the ground in front of him with the blunt sides facing him and what’s in front of him. Greatly reduces damage from enemy attacks and reflects projectiles back at their source.

Provoke: Taunts the enemies into focusing on him.

Berserk: Only available when HP =< 25%. Doubles running speed, attack speed, and attack power, but halves defense. Lasts for a short time, leading to the use of a mystic arte, or until defeated.

Mystic Arte:
Furious Wave: Only used at the end of Berserk. Jumps into the sky and slams his sword into the ground as hard as he can upon landing, sending out a massive energy wave damaging all enemies around him.

Physical Description:

Stands at 6’ 5”
Hunter is an incredibly large half-elf. A tall height, wide shoulders, and quite a bit of muscle allow him to heft the massive blade he carries around in battle. The armor is incredible at blocking attacks and has average resistance to magic, but because of Hunter’s weapon choice and the weight of the armor, Hunter’s biggest weakness is his speed. If an enemy proves too fast for Hunter to hit, it becomes a good idea to instead focus on defending other party members from attack and dealing with any minions the enemy might have.

Personality:
Hunter seems to be able to smile through almost everything. The only times he isn’t smiling is when he I focusing in battle. He can be a bit dense at times, and sometimes says things that only confuse those around him either by being nonsensical or showing surprising insight compared to his usual perceived intelligence.

Bio:
Hunter’s grandfather invented a way to use magic to create a sort of sentient armor housed in what looks like a gold sphere and a red square fused together. After testing it out with himself and his son, Aaron, he learned that not only would the armor adjust to the frame of the person using it, but it would generate the armor’s aesthetic design based on its user’s preferences. On his deathbed with a mysterious disease and fearing the armor would fall into the wrong hands and mass-produced as a weapon of war, Kale gave Aaron the armor, telling him to protect it and pass it down from generation to generation.

Years after Kale’s death, Aaron met Shio, an elf woman that had left Heimdall to see the world. They settled down in Flanoir and had a son, Hunter. Hunter’s childhood was normal at first, Aaron was a good father, albeit one interested in making sure Hunter would learn to be a warrior, and Shio was an excellent mother. Unfortunately, Aaron began to slowly change over time, becoming more and more obsessed with the armor. Shio, both disappointed in Aaron and fearful for her own and Hunter's safety, tried to leave with her son, only for Aaron to assault her in the night while Hunter slept. Shio managed to escape back to Heimdall, never to look back. Aaron then told Hunter that Shio had left them, leaving Hunter to believe his mother had abandoned him.

Several years later, Aaron passed the armor down to Hunter, along with a very large blade he forged that matched Hunter’s physique and fighting style. Hunter was happy for a while, training with his father to defend his legacy, until he heard his father talking to the armor late one night, rambling like a mad man. Fearing for his father's sanity, and realizing the armor was to blame, Hunter did the only thing he could think of to save his father. He stole the armor quietly late one night while his father slept and took it, and the blade his father forged for him, out into the wilderness. A year passes and he ends up meeting Rhone and Max while they're in town selling their supplies. After talking to the both of them for a bit, They agree to take him along. Rhone because he senses something off with the boy and Max because she's fascinated with the armor Hunter possesses and the craftsmanship it shows.

Quotes:
Victory – Don't mess with the big guy.
Low health – Shut up...I don't want to..!
Repeat battle (same enemy) – This didn't work the first time.
Dying – No...I'm stronger than this...
Strong enemy – Oh.
Weak enemy – I'll just call this training!
Killing an enemy – Had to be done.
Fleeing – I'll cover our escape!
Being brought back to life – Sorry I went down...
Attacks not working – This could be a problem.

Fave Food Type: He’ll try anything once.

Other Notes: The armor, when active, consists of a light layer of gold armor and thick plates of red and gold metal on top of that. The armor cannot be removed when equipped, being more or less fused to Hunter’s skin. It can only be taken off by Hunter willing it back into its stored form. While only members of Hunter’s bloodline can use the armor, that would not stop someone from being able to figure out the magic and technology that makes it work and developing their own armors.

Physical Description:
User Image
Max is 5’4” tall with a slender build. This helps greatly with her battle style, which is to perform quick attacks with her cutlass and the occasional shot of her revolver.

Personality: Max has always been a very cheerful person, trying to look on the bright side of things while making snide comments about her allies. The more she prods someone and attempts to get under their skin, the more she likes them. She’s got an odd quirk where she has to be doing something with her hands, usually repairing her revolver and performing maintenance on her cutlass. If neither of these things are available, she’ll often pick up something to mess with. Or, on occasion, if a party member has something on their outfit or in their hand to mess with, she’ll mess with it.

Lately she's been practicing artificy, the art of magically creating objects with various purposes, and is learning to make more and more complicated machines with it.

Bio: Born to a half-elven mistress of an influential Meltokio noble, Max’s childhood was challenging. Her father didn’t acknowledge her existence for years, until a citizen in the slums she lived in noticed she looked a bit like him. After news of his illegitimate daughter spread, he became enraged and beat and killed his mistress in the presence of Max, hiding in a closet. Max, enraged by her mother’s death but fearful for her own life, stabbed her father with a kitchen knife, wounding him, but losing her left eye in the process. Aurelia, an orphan girl living in the slums and friends with Max, sheltered her in her home. After waiting for the wound where Max's eye once was to close, Aurelia volunteered to accompany her to help keep her safe. The two would become members of the Red Moon Pirates before Rhone joined them.

Max stayed with the Red Moon Pirates a bit longer than Rhone and Aurelia, but eventually decided to strike out on her own as a sellsword. She made a name for herself and had a somewhat stable life until the incident involving Aurelia’s death. When news of her death reached her, she tracked down and attempted to kill Rhone, knowing it was partly his fault Aurelia died. After a long fight with Rhone, who refused to fight back and seemingly welcomed her blows, she decided to talk things out with him. Rhone explained everything that had happened to him since Aurelia's death, breaking down in the process. Seeing how broken of a man Rhone had become, she decided he had been punished enough by life already and made it her goal to make him back into the man she remembered. The two have mended their friendship in the almost 400 years since then, and now Max takes care of Rhone’s ship, The Meridae, for him.

Quotes(s):
Victory – Ha! What did you expect?
Low health – Losing blood...
Repeat battle (same enemy) – Really? Well, okay then.
Dying – Shutting down...
Strong enemy – OH, HELL YES!
Weak enemy – Not worth the bullets.
Killing an enemy – And stay down!
Fleeing – Nope!
Being brought back to life – Recalibrating...
Attacks not working – What? Nothing?!

Fave Food Type: Any type of meat. She’s a bit too used to Rhone’s cooking.

(Tales of Zeal Profile)

Character Name: Rhone Craft

Gender: Male

Age: 304 (His mutation has stopped his aging. He looks to be in his early 20s)

Race: Elf (mutated, causing gray skin)

Occupation: Reverse Pirate

Allignment: Chaotic Good

Physical Description:

Zeal Design: User Image

A tall and slender man, 7' even, thin, but has some muscularity, and gray skin. Wears a fedora on his head in memory of his fallen soulmate. His coat, which he wears as a cape, can take its true form as two pairs of wings on Rhone's back, both red, black, and bat-like in nature, but with the top pair larger than the bottom pair. He hides a set of horns under his hat as well.

SECTION 2: ORIGINS
Canon: Tales of Symphonia
Canon Point: Post-Dawn of the New World
Means of Arrival: Rhone is a native resident of Aselia.

SECTION 3: REPERTOIRE

Class: SpellBlade

Fighting Style: Quick, powerful sword attacks, ranged, instant-casting, decently powered projectile spells, but little to no defense. HP and TP combined into one larger than normal pool for health and attacks.

Weapon(s): His strange Exsphere on his chest houses his weapon, made from a fusion of his original katana weapon and the mana that is generated using his Exsphere and body. He battles using his “mana blade” as he calls it, and a mana orb that he can bring forth at will, adding some long-range attack options. Because Rhone’s body is mostly composed of mana, the orb he generates can take on elemental forms. The mana blade’s appearance and function change slightly depending on the key crest Rhone equips to his Exsphere.

“Crimson bind” – same as crimson rend, only the blade, on impact, wraps around the target, ensnaring and immobilizing them for a few seconds.

“Crimson Maw” – holds sword backwards and slashes up, causing a “tidal wave” of mana to rise up, become jagged, and crash into the ground in front of him violently.

Orb of Mana

“Mana Sphere” – Fires an orb of mana forward, causing a small explosion on contact

“Ball Lightning” – Charges the orb with the lightning element before throwing it at an opponent. If it hits, it does damage that can spread to nearby foes as the lightning dissipates.

“Heat Burst” – Charges the orb with the fire element before throwing it into a group of enemies, causing a damaging wave of heat energy.

“Cryometeor” – Charges the orb with ice mana, tosses it into the air above an enemy, and detonates it, causing the air around it to freeze, dropping chunks of ice onto the opponent.

“Dust Devil” – Charges the orb with wind and throws it at an enemy, if it connects, it creates a small area of swirling winds that sends the opponent straight up, causing fall damage or setting up for an aerial combo.

“Splash Damage” – Charges the orb with the water element and throws it at a group of enemies. On contact, it explodes, sending high-pressured water everywhere.

“Stone Throw” – Charges the orb with earth mana, causing it to encase itself in stone. Rhone throws this into an enemy. Basically just throwing a large rock, but hey, rocks hurt.

“Shadow Siphon” – Charges the orb with the darkness element and sends it at an opponent. On contact, absorbs some life energy from the target and returns it to Rhone. Damage is lower than normal, however.

“Shining Siphon” – Charges the orb with the light element and sends it at an opponent. On contact, absorbs some TP and returns it to Rhone while doing lower than normal damage.

"Regen" - Stand still and concentrate on gathering mana from the air. Regens health at faster and faster intervals while not interrupted.

Mystic Arte
Super-Collider: Rhone creates two spheres of mana, one with a drain mana effect, and one with a restoring mana effect. He smashes them both into one enemy at the same time, causing a nullifying effect in the mana spheres, and causing not only them to explode, but every bit of mana in the enemy to explode as well, erupting from every part of their being before injecting itself back into them, causing severe pain and damage for both parts of the process.

SECTION 4: PERSONAL DETAILS

Personality: Surprisingly upbeat, considering his situation and history. Although he greets everyone he sees with a smile, he’s conflicted with his thoughts on his immortality. He is unsure of his place in the world, but he won’t reveal that to anyone not close to him. He doesn’t show it, but it greatly bothers him when people, meeting him for the first time, mistakenly call him a monster or demon.

Fave Food Type: Any type of meat. He was born to be a hunter and knows how to cook practically anything that was once alive.

Other Notes: He considers himself a bit of a scholar and enjoys teaching others, whether it be about books or blades.

Bio: He was born and raised in Heimdall. Like any other elf, he learned the ways of the forest and of mana itself. Unlike other elves, however, he preferred using hand to hand combat tactics over bows or magic. His sister, Meridae was chosen to become the village healer, like her mother, while Rhone was to inherit leadership of the village once he became of age. The day Rhone turned 12 and Meridae was 9, Rhone was permitted to go on a hunt for wild game without the aid of his teacher, receiving a hand-made stone dagger from Meridae to commemorate the occasion. Meridae came along in case Rhone was injured, as she was already an experienced healer. The hunt went well…until the end. Rhone and Meridae were attacked by a pack of wolves, which they sensed had a particularly evil energy among them.

At the age of 15, tormented by his failure to protect someone he cared about and believing he was not worth leading Heimdall, he decided to leave the village to see the world outside, much to the chagrin of his parents. After wondering around aimlessly for a few weeks, hunting with his hands and using the dagger Meridae gave him, he meets Aurelia, a traveling mercenary who uses a rapier and a buckler for combat and wears a fedora, who attempts to save him from a pack of monsters. Only, when she gets to him, she notices he’s dispatching the foes with his bare hands effectively, with the aid of mana. Aurelia leads Rhone to a group of mercenaries called the Red Moon Pirates that took her in, known for stealing strictly from other pirates and giving back whatever valuables they can to their point of origin while selling the rest. They travel to a nearby town and Aurelia allows Rhone to pick a weapon out for him to use. He chooses the katana hanging on the wall of the weapon shop, and Rhone begins working under the flag of the Red Moon with Aurelia.

Seven years pass and the two are in love. Rhone gives her an engagement ring the night before they embark on a mission to recover an artifact with unknown powers that someone had stolen. The next day, when they embark on their quest, they see a strange man with purple skin and red eyes. This man is Dameo. They realize this is the person they’re looking for and that he has apparently discovered the powers hidden in the artifact. They prepare themselves, but that isn’t enough. Dameo had made a pact with demons from Niflheim using the artifact to control them and increase his powers. Using them, he takes control of Aurelia’s body and forces her to attack Rhone. Rhone is forced to kill the person he proposed to the night before, and Dameo simply laughs and flies away, telling Rhone to come challenge him at the top of the tallest of the Fooji Mountains.

Before going, Rhone seeks help from the scientists at the research lab in Sybak. After some…..convincing……they give him an experimental Exsphere that gains its power from absorbing the life force of whatever Rhone kills. Deciding the only thing that can defeat Dameo is what made him powerful in the first place, Rhone uses an old book to travel to Niflheim and begins slaying demons, eventually staining the exosphere a deep red, and imbuing Rhone with strength. He then ascends the highest mountain of the Fooji Mountains, with Aurelia’s ring, hat, and his new Exsphere ready to battle Dameo with the same demonic powers he himself possessed. Rhone succeeds in winning, but his Exsphere runs haywire, causing a massive mana explosion. Rhone wakes up feeling different from before. His skin is gray, he can feel mana coursing through his veins, and he’s soon to find out, that his aging has stopped. He also finds that Dameo did not leave a corpse, which leads Rhone to believe the man was disintegrated in the blast. He decides to live his life the best he can as almost three centuries pass. Now the two worlds are one, and Rhone is enjoying the new scenery. His travels will soon unite him with new allies, and perhaps he will finally find peace with himself.

Bio: Not much is known about Solare before his journey to Lordran. All that is known is that he is a holy knight on a quest to find his own sun.

(You never really learn his backstory in the game. It's all just speculation with no solid foundation. The only things that are concrete about him are the above. Being vague about everything is kinda Dark Souls' M.O. For more information, check out these pages about him here: [x] [x]
...but beware of spoilers if you plan on playing the game.)

Other Notes: Although Solaire's equipment has powerful-sounding names, it's all very basic equipment. Solaire's strength comes from within.
