I have discovered the grenades before do not do enough dmg for the cost required, so I have rewritten the nade dmg.

Grenade
Description: Simple every day, homemade, magic pumped, explosive device.
AP/MP: 25 AP and MP
Damage: 50-100 + Int mod +2 on max per 10 craft skill
Requirements: Craft 30+, Dex 30+, Int 30+, Gunpowder x10, metal container x1 (to make)
Special: 2 actions to use, If base attack misses on to same attack +5 to hit to receive /2 damage

Liquid Nitroglycerin Grenade
Description: A Bomb that will chill you to the core, and make you a human Popsicle...might feel nice in the desert.
AP/MP: 50 AP and MP
Damage: Ice damage 100-200 + Int mod +2 on max per 10 craft skill
Requirements: Craft 60+, Dex 60+, Int 60+, Gunpowder x10, metal container x1, Ice shard, Or hide from a ice elemental monster (to make)
Special: 2 actions to use, If base attack misses on to same attack +5 to hit to receive /2 damage

Incendiary Grenade
Description: A Bomb that will set you afire, and not in the good way...might be what toast feels like.
AP/MP: 50 AP and MP
Damage: Fire damage 100-200 + Int mod +2 on max per 10 craft skill
Requirements: Craft 60+, Dex 60+, Int 60+, Gunpowder x10, metal container x1, Flame shard, Or hide from a fire elemental monster (to make)
Special: 2 actions to use, If base attack misses on to same attack +5 to hit to receive /2 damage

Gale Grenade
Description: A Bomb that upon explosion wraps the opponent with a Aero spell. That's a whole lotta wind... (couldn't help it)
AP/MP: 50 AP and MP
Damage: Aero damage 100-200 + Int mod +2 on max per 10 craft skill
Requirements: Craft 60+, Dex 60+, Int 60+, Gunpowder x10, metal container x1, Aero shard, Or hide from a wind elemental monster (to make)
Special: 2 actions to use, If base attack misses on to same attack +5 to hit to receive /2 damage

Volt Grenade
Description: A Bomb that knocks you flat on your arse. Shocking.
AP/MP: 50 AP and MP
Damage: Thunder damage 100-200 + Int mod +2 on max per 10 craft skill
Requirements: Craft 60+, Dex 60+, Int 60+, Gunpowder x10, metal container x1, Thunder shard, Or hide from an electric elemental monster (to make)
Special: 2 actions to use, If base attack misses on to same attack +5 to hit to receive /2 damage

Wave Grenade
Description: A Bomb that will send you on a spin cycle. No for real, a small wave will knock you about.
AP/MP: 50 AP and MP
Damage: Water damage 100-200 + Int mod +2 on max per 10 craft skill
Requirements: Craft 60+, Dex 60+, Int 60+, Gunpowder x10, metal container x1, Water shard, Or hide from a water elemental monster (to make)
Special: 2 actions to use, If base attack misses on to same attack +5 to hit to receive /2 damage

Geo Grenade
Description: A Bomb that sends sharp jagged chunks of earth flying at you.
AP/MP: 50 AP and MP
Damage: Earth damage 100-200 + Int mod +2 on max per 10 craft skill
Requirements: Craft 60+, Dex 60+, Int 60+, Gunpowder x10, metal container x1, Earth shard, Or hide from a Earth elemental monster (to make)
Special: 2 actions to use, If base attack misses on to same attack +5 to hit to receive /2 damage

25ap and 25 mp= 50 so 50 x2 is 100 so damage could be 50-100, and 100-200 of the second ranks

jin: the point of them is high cost, for a low damage compared to the cost. With the damage i just said i would say the requirments are fine.

the gap is still too far apart

I mean if I use my nade chain it will be the 250ap +250mp for only 500-1k dmg when spells with similar cost are 800-1.2k+
and for the Stronger nades it would be 500mp+500ap for only 1-2k when again spells with similar cost do 1.6-1.8k

the gaps are less and they do more as a whole >.< It's a lot of cost for something that does so little in comparison that is

Look at most of the lower ranked magic, they do what i said cost being the minimum damage. Higher spells do greatly do more damage per cost, and also take more actions. You only have rank 1 and 2 nades, never said third rank can do much higher damage like the higher rank spells do.

also as for the highest rank spells, they are very hard to come by, you got to work to get em.

As fro the t action thing, that because grenades do have a pause, as well as it has the potential for aoe.

well the cost is still high being both ap and mp
but if I can drop the cost a little while keeping the dmg like 60-80? or something

If the damage was high and the cost/requirements were low then it would unbalance fights due to making the user do more damage then they should be able to do for their level/stats.

but if the cost is high and the dmg is s**t, it's not worth using. I'm not saying I want them super charged, but I do want them worth using 250mp and 250ap each time I use that nade chain.

I say follow the magic curve. cost = min max x2min, Simple and effective for the lower grenades, you can a a later time post stronger grenades for a bit more ap/mp, and much higher damage and requirements but thats it up to you.

Oh and one question. Is the special of /2 damage accounting for a blast radius? Or just debris?

yes, its the non direct effect of a nade...ie shrapnel,
