warning before you download: this game is M-rated. It has a lot of violence. Granted, the characters are cartoony, but it is still over-the-top violence. Keep this in mind. --- So Alex and I have been playing Team Fortress 2 lately, and wondered if anyone else enjoyed playing this game. It's a multiplayer first-person shooter game with tons of different classes/items and a really fun sense of humour. It's also free. Link here. If anyone else enjoys it, we can make a guild server. :3

_Okami_ (Just out of curiousity, what kind of Japanese browser games do you play, Bokusenou?) xD Let's see, I played Reutopia, and Magical Burage Gakuin for a little while until I got bored. Now I mainly do Arvion (Mixi app), and sometimes Pocket Party(online Pokemon game) when I have time. Lately I've been in a visual novel mood though, so I've been playing through these online ones, or I just go to http://www.mazenove.com/ and look for one that looks interesting. I should warn you that all of these have no furigana, so they're not really beginner friendly, but if you're intermediate-ish, most of the RPGs should be pretty easy, and the visual novels range from easy (mostly dialogue) to hard-ish (mostly description). Can you read Japanese?

I'm looking forward to checking them all out properly after work! :3 Yeah I'm sort of at that awkward beginning-intermediate-level now. So hopefully these will help! Shame about the furigana though. I suppose they are games intended for native speakers though, haha. xD I need moar immersion!! Cheers~

There are lots of text-based game apps there.

I've been looking at sneaky ways to get one however. xD I assume you yourself have a Japanese cell phone address though. Lucky!

The only thing I would change about Pocket Party is that currently you can only "buy" (with game money) more Pokeballs by accessing the site through a cell phone (I got around that with User Agent Switcher though.. XD ) I got invited to Mixi when it was still invite only (so no, I don't have a Japanese cellphone address), but nowadays you don't need a Japanese cellphone address if you join with a college email, which is how some friends of mine joined. I think it's only ".edu", "ac.uk" and ".ac.jp" that work, but I could be wrong. Are you in college/know someone with a college email? (I already used my college email to help a friend register, so I can't help you there.)

But no I don't have a college e-mail address, nor do I know anyone that does. (wow it seems I have befriended a bunch of uneducated people) xD I have heard about that loophole before but I'm not entirely sure it still works anyway. I heard they removed it. Bah.. I need to get to Japan! This is the only solution. xD
In any case, thanks lots. :'D

In any case, thanks lots. :'DYay.^-^ I think they only removed it for the free Australia.edu addresses that lots of people were using. Regular college emails should still work, as a friend of mine signed up that way in Febuary, and a found a blog comment that said it still works, made in August. I'm not sure how college emails work in the UK, but in the US, colleges usually let alumini have free ".edu" email redirects if you email them (for those who graduated before email was invented), and give it to you automatically (for those who graduated after). Maybe a relative of yours or someone might have one? Good luck with getting to Japan.^-^ This might help when they get it up and running, though be prepared, Japan is a really expensive place to live in.

No offence, you two, but could you please take chats that don't have to do with the subject at hand to another thread or to PM?
