Clematis was in the middle of the clearing he called his "workshop," pushing some small-ish rocks around into a rough shape for a commission. He sighed and raised his head back up. He didn't know why he was doing this, he'd just have to do it again when the rocks were relocated to the client's living area.
He took a quick look around his workspace; the random twigs he had collected for future projects, the small patch of flowers in one corner, rocks lined up around the entire clearing, and his little lean-to shack he had made to sleep under when it rained.
He wished more people would commission him for leaf arrangements. Or at least he wished someone would come and commission him for something that didn't include rocks, so he didn't have to do this. Oh well.
He went back to pushing the rocks around, to get a physical picture of what was in his head.

Drowning at Sea approached cautiously, nervous of disturbing the buck as he was doing... whatever it was he was doing. But she'd heard things about him, heard that he did these arrangements, and they'd sounded pretty. Drowning liked pretty things, particularly pretty things she could offer to her twin, and so this sounded absolutely perfect to her.
"Um... hello?" she offered, her voice soft and shy as she edged a little closer. Her tail flicked behind her, and for a moment, she wished she'd brought Low Flight along with her. But the crane often had a mind of his own, and really, Drowning was content to let him wander away to fish or whatever it was he did. She liked to think of him as a friend more than a pet, and couldn't really imagine the beautiful bird trained to do anything.
Looking back at the buck, Drowning drew another breath, then said, a little louder, "Hi?" This time, her voice carried past her own nervousness toward Clematis himself.

Clem had heard her the first time, but his creative spark wouldn't let him stop arranging yet. At the second, he gave the rock one last nudge into place and lifted his head.
"Yes? How may I help you?"
He really hoped she asked for orange leaves, orange looked so good with blue, and she had a lot of blue.

"I heard that you make things," Drowning murmured, her voice shy and eyes downcast. On the ground, she could look at the arrangement he'd made, and her eyes flicked over it, examining curiously and enjoying the sight. He did beautiful work, if this was any example. "Pretty things. For people."
Inwardly, she could feel exasperation. She never thought of it as her own. It was her twin's exasperation, just as it was her twin who could just walk up to others and talk without nerves getting in the way. As alike as they looked... they really weren't very similar, she thought sadly. Gathering up her nerves, she finally looked up at the buck. "I'd... like you to make something, please. What would I need to do?"
And even as she asked, a small voice in the back of her mind noted how very pretty the buck himself was...

He noticed her noticing his rock formation. He really hoped she didn't want one.
"It depends on what you want me to make. Something like leaves or flowers would be cheaper than rocks, and a small headpiece would be cheaper than an elaborate back cover. Just tell me what you want and then offer something, and we'll haggle."
He paused, thought of something, and then continued.
"I'm running a special on leaves, though. Super cheap." He stopped and added something once more. "A nice leaf back cover would look very nice on you."
He hoped that would make her get leaves, orange ones, and he really hoped that she didn't order rocks.

"On me?" she blinked, her eyes darting away from the rocks up to him. After a few seconds, however, they shifted away, staring into space thoughtfully. "Why on me?" she finally asked.
Perhaps... just perhaps... whatever he thought looked good on her would also look good on Searching. The thought was a happy one, and she brightened a little even as it crossed her mind.

"Why on you?" Clem cocked his head. "Isn't that why you came here? Oh, did you come to get something for someone else then? Depending on what you want, it might be a little hard. I would have to see the other kimeti, or whichever of our cousins, first. It's hard for me to make things for someone's colors I don't know." He had been analyzing her colors and running through leaf patterns in his head, but he subconsiously stopped when he realized she might be ordering for someone else.

"It's my brother," she offered, eyes warm as she finally turned her attention back to him. "My twin." She twisted her head back to analyze herself for a moment before nodding. "He looks just like me. He's just... stronger. But I'd like to get him something. Something that looks nice. What would you suggest?"
Surely... surely an artist's eye could see past the differences between she and her brother to decide what would be good on him...
