Danny was actually feeling pretty good about herself today. She was riding around on her brand new skateboard that she had gotten last night with Roch, and had just eaten a lunch of pizza and popcorn. It was turning out to be a fan-jacking-tastic day.
She was actually wheeling down to the scarefari to attempt the "trapping" again that she had learned earlier this week. She found it to be very fun, and extremely entertaining.
... Okay maybe she found it a little dull, but she really didn't have much to do. She wasn't in the mood to stay sitting playing a video game, and visiting friends wasn't really in the planner either. So far she had spent the day just reacquainting herself with the skateboard.
It was then, lost in the thought, that she ran into a small (well smaller) undead ghoul on the path. Quite literally. Danny tripped off her skateboard a little awkwardly, but luckily she didn't fall. No scraped knees here. "Oh geez, I'm really sorry, are you okay?" she said, pulling some stray hair out of her face.

Amrita had been minding her own business, getting used to her own feet when it happened. Unfortunately for her, she was no longer as slow as she used to be now that her brain was intact, and she was quite aware of the ghoul on wheels bowling right into her, and even moreso on her tumble to the ground. What? You try catching yourself with your first week of new boobs while having backwards feet! It just doesn't happen! Fortunately though, she did catch herself on hands and knees after a bit of a windmill, her books and a few papers labeled "YEARBOOK" scattering.
"I-It's alright, I'm fi---" Her words died on her lips with a terrified squeak as what looked to be a ball of flame hovered obnoxiously close. She did the first thing that came to mind; grabbed the nearest fallen textbook, and threw it.

Okay now Danny was on the ground. A wayward textbook had just slammed into her exposed, unsuspecting stomach, and knocked her over. Normally Danny could've caught the book with little trouble, but because she hadn't been expecting it, it had positively bowled her over.
Rubbing her stomach, she said, "Owww. Geez what was that for? Well you gotta good arm. D'you play maceball?" Her eyes lit up at the mention of her favorite sport, completely forgetting about the pain in her stomach until it panged her again and brought her back down to reality.
Looking up, she realized the ghoul was pretty undead. That might've been why she threw the book, but then again, she could've also thrown the book because she was mad at being bumped into. Both were plausible.
Danny understood how to eliminate at least one of the possible problems. She wrapped her tail around her leg and threw her hands up in a defeated position. "Umm I won't hurt you. Promise!"

...Did...Did she do that?! One gray eye had peeked open when she heard the thud, her arm still outstretched. The other ghoul was on the ground...holy Jack! She had never knocked over a student before! That was...! Actually, that made her swell with pride. But the point remained, she hit a student whose only downside (so far as she could tell) was what her tail had a flame on the end of it.
"I...I...I'M SO SORRY! I didn't...I didn't mean to I just...! I saw fire and...Oh jack I'm so sorry! A-are you okay? I don't know my own strength!" She hadn't had the chance to flex these muscles yet, so...that part was definitely true. The patchwork got to her feet, immediately going over to extend both backward hands to the other ghoul, being very careful of her tail.
"I...I know you won't I'm so sorry just...aah...I-I'm Amrita, and I'm really sorry!"

Danny laughed. This ghoul was pretty skittish. Kind of like Moure sometimes, but a little bit more ... ghouly about it all. That was the point though, right? Danny took the ghoul's outstretched hands and pulled herself up, mostly through her own effort. She didn't want to pull to hard and end up ripping off Amrita's arm or something. Danny had noticed lots of undeads tended to ... well fall apart.
Another laugh escaped her mouth as Amrita continued to apologize profusely. Danny waved her hands and said, "It's fine it's fine! Don't worry, I get hit a lot, it's fine!" Way to make yourself sound like an abused child Danny. She really didn't mean it, she just wanted the ghoul to calm down a little, for her own sake.
Danny patted her head and said, "Seriously, don't worry. It was the tail, yeah?" She looked down at her flaming tail wrapped innocently around her leg. "It seems to be causin' lots of trouble here," she said, with a shrug. It wasn't her fault she was on fire.
Now that Danny got a better look at Amrita, she was pleasantly ... surprised by how attractive this ... patchwork? was. The only other two she'd seen were the cute little patchy who was ... well endearing, but not handsome (Christof) and her best friend Moure who was ... well Danny didn't really consider him ugly or handsome. He was just Moure. Smiling, she said, "Ah! I'm Danny. Nice to meet you Amrita."
Amrita, Amrita ... where had she heard that name? It sounded so familiar. Just where was it from ...

"Y-yes, it was the tail." Amrita squeaked out, embarrassed over the mistake. It was a reflex, honest! She normally wasn't violent at all! Even her Death Charm mini still got the occasional textbooking when she was startled. "It's the, um...w-well the fire, we undeads don't..." Though she probably knew that already! Once Danny was back on her feet, the Patchwork wrapped her arms around herself, mentally grumbling at the resistance her new appendages gave.
Had she known Danny thought her attractive, she might have blushed; but as it were, Amrita never really noticed such things, and if she did it was just how whole the other body was; another thing she didn't think of, when faced with that tail. Damn that tail! Gray eyes still glanced at it, hesitant to get any closer, just in case.
"...Wait. Danny? You said your name was...Danny...?" Now that she thought about it, the ghouls voice WAS familiar! With a gasp the Vetala spun awkwardly (nearly toppling in the process!) and looked through her strewn papers before finding one with a very messily hand written note. Ahhh yes, Danny! A Danny had called her about the Yearbook position...
"...Did you...call me about Yearbook...?" She said hesitantly, dreading the ghoul saying 'yes'. It was never good to beat your Committee mates with textbooks, especially as the editor!

Danny's tail decided to wrap itself around her other light while Amrita sifted through her papers. It bounced back and forth like a game.
Danny's eyes lit up at the mention of the yearbook. "Yes! YES! I'm Danny ... the one who told you about being on the yearbook thingy yeah! I said I wanted to be clubs editor I think ... I don't really remember." She said it with a goofy smile, but she was totally serious. She didn't remember what signed up for. She honestly just liked the color of the pen for the sign up sheet.
Waaaait. Why did Amrita know that? "But ... why d'you ask?" She said, still chipper as ever.

"Oh jack!" She whined, facepalming. "I threw a book at---" Bad Amrita, bad! You shouldn't beat up the people helping you! Terrible, Terrible Amrita! The ghoul finished picking up her thrown books and loose paper, hugging it against her chest with one arm. "U-um, w-well, see..." The ghoul looked down at her heels, taking a moment to shyly tuck a piece of her own hair behind her ear.
"You applied for Sports Editor, but, um...thatpositionhasbeentaken." On the list of things that she never had to do before, near the top was tell someone they couldn't do what they asked to. Perhaps she wasn't as cut out for this as she thought! "But I...I was wondering if maybe you could do the club section instead...?" She lifted her gaze to meet Danny's, her head still tilted down shyly.

Danny listened with wide eyes as the ghoul seemed to mumble to herself something. She was just waiting for her turn to talk. That was how conversation worked, she thought, quoting one of her many tutors over the years. You waited your turn to talk, and then while you were talking, the other person waited their turn too. Danny nodded sagely, still listening to Amrita all the while.
Fortunately for Amrita, Danny interpreted her words completely differently from how they were intended. With big, sparkling eyes, she said, "I ... I could? You would ... you would let me do that?" Danny's smile couldn't have been any brighter.
The only reason she even applied to be the sports editor was because it had the word "sports" in it. Amrita could've easily given her the "ghouly traits" (something Danny was probably at the bottom of the ladder for) and she still would've done it. She just liked doing things. It's how she worked.

Amrita blinked, looking rather blank. "Uhh, yes, of course I would!" Why else would she offer? Wait... did she even offer?! Uhhhh hrm...she must have, right? This brain wasn't rotted, it was a little less easy to forget things, right? ...Right? Maybe she'd have to ask Christof or Malodore about it later. That might be the best idea, just in case. "Umm...Okay, here, you'll need these!" The ghoul knelt, digging through her papers and books to find what she was looking for - a single sheet of parchment with 'Danny?' written at the top for her own knowledge, and below that, carefully (if not still messy) handwriting listing the following: Yearbook - Clubs - Danny? To-Do:Please contact the President of each approved club (except for the excluded ones, see list below), and attempt to get the following: 1. An information blurb about their club (please be clear this is for yearbook, in case they want to expand on the Concept/Aim/Purpose!) 2. An updated Members List, if applicable 3. Any extra tidbits of information they want to add, for example: If a club is affiliated with another club, make a note of it! ** If they do not get back to you by the end of October, please just transcribe the information in the Clubs link in your own words and send it to me! ** Current Approved Clubs:- Are found Here! Remember, it has to have a green stamp in the post for it to be approved! Excluded from 'Clubs':- FEARleading - Track and Field - Lucky 13 (Until we know who took it over) - Football Team - Swim Team Amrita stood back up awkwardly, holding the books and papers to her chest again. "If you could do this for me and get back to me as soon as possible, I'd greatly appreciate it!" The Undead ghoul beamed at the Demoness, apparently quite excited for this entire venture. (( P.S. - Chiiiii if you could actually do this for me that'd be great. If you don't want to that's fine, of course! Just let me know, okay? ))

Danny nodded furiously as Amrita explained instructions. She probably wouldn't follow them perfectly, nor would she get all the information correct, but she would definitely try her best!
She took the paper that the patchwork ghoul handed her and smiled brightly. She was being given a task that was all hers.
Of course, what Danny didn't realized was that this yearbook thing would actually require work. An incredible amount of work for a ghoul who did nothing but play video games on her hexbox all day. At the time, Danny didn't realize that she would actually have to go out and write quite a bit of information down, and talk to tons of people.
Then again, Danny had never really minded talking to complete strangers. They were just friends she hadn't met, right?
Danny nabbed the paper from Amrita's hand and then took off. After a few steps, she remembered that she had left Amrita there and turned around. She shouted, "I'll do it I promise!!" and then flipped back around towards her dorm. She was going to be the best clubs editor ever.
Whatever that meant.

WAIT WHERE WAS SHE GOING?! Was there something behind her? Was Christmas attacking again?! WAS JINGLEBERRY BACK?! Amrita gave a very nervous[/] look over her shoulder, and upon seeing nothing but the hallway she looked back at the fleeing ghoul, reaching out a hand as if that would stop her, even though she was far out of reach.
"H-hey! Wai---" Danny had stopped, and Amrita shut up instantly, just standing there like an idiot with her arm extended. "Uhh...okay, yes, great! C-Carry on!" The patchwork lifted her arms in the air like a referee.
Luckily, Danny had left before she could see Amrita's arm fall off.
