So ok, Jin, Shizuka. I guess we can start by brainstorming the most recent affirmative position of Iwa.
This is what I found what Carlos last wrote for the village timeskip story:Quote: Bad Blood… Mutual hatred… Years of Sorrow… These are accurate ways to describe the bloodied history between the Land’s of Stone and Fire. Many speculate that it’s not so much a thing of resources or beliefs but just simple flat out pride. After all, each rests within the opposite corners of this land, why would they even have need to do battle? Pride… Human Beliefs… Insignificant Base Desires… In the past, these were all the things that human’s needed to start war’s to take thousands of flames and snuff them out. The most resistant of souls completely washed away in the ebb and flow of human time. Human time… not the worlds time for the world is beyond such trivial things. It is true that animal do fight for things such as territory and belongings but man places himself above base animal instincts so is that why he does battle for things lower than what even a snake would squabble over? The undeniable Will of Flame and the immovable Soul of Earth clashed for ages with almost no end in sight. Even after other great wars were fought, still these two mighty nations tangled their web of anger and hatred. Maybe this long fought struggle bred itself within the hearts and minds of the people of Fire and Earth and poisoned them. Maybe this is why the two forces needed those withdrawn from the heat of the flame and standing aside from the coldness of the stone to finally bring the countries to a peace. Sake… Red Wine… Sex and Sin… These are the things that brought together the flame and the stone. A shake beginning to be sure but still a beginning. Not while the Shadow of Flame born of the Wood and the Shadow of Earth who lived in Sin live will the villiages of Shinobi do battle again. However… this promise cannot be made for the nations themselves as they are forces outside the control of the mere servants. It all began with a scream heard round the world. A member of the Taida was found strewn along the grounds of the Kage Tower. An arm in the upper rafters, a leg in the basement… you get the drift. This Taida was thought to be a shoe-in to win the next family battle and become the next Tsuchikage and maybe that is why he was found with wounds not of Ninja origins but of soldiers. Iwagakure had been invaded. It was thought that due to their weakness, their lack of a leader, Iwagakure would be an easy target to raise the power of the Lord of Fire. The defeat and destruction of the potential future leader was to strike fear into the hearts of the people. All it did was rally their anger. It is widly known that none too many care for the Taida clan but to strike at a ninja of the Stone Village is to strike at the village as a whole. And Iwa was not alone. The power of fire and stone came together under one banner to lead the battle against the Lord of Fire. This moment of need brought the people together as it had the many years ago when the Master of Earth struck at the village. Then, the village of stone stood together and destroyed the threat and they would do it again. The strength and valor of Earth would be proven to the world once more. The child of wood and the child of stone shall work for the good of the people. Be they nobles or soldier, ruler or peasant, none shall be without the protection of these warriors. Right after their finished drinking. I guess we can start by assuming Iwa and Konoha post timeskip have firmly established friendship but probably lost contact due to Konoha being under siege. I can foresee problems faced by Taida Marcus, the Council probably won't be too happy about the "failure" having another failure to add to the list -- a basically bombed alliance as Konoha lost the support of their own country's nobility.
Perhaps we can write about there being a coupe in Iwa, but Taida Marcus manages to escape assassination, and is currently missing? That way we can leave village events up in the air and if Gig decides to cameo later, he can also safely explain why his character went rogue. This also gives us some sort of basis to explain why Shin and the rest of Devil Burrito left Iwa for the time being too. They are considered "traitors" to the village but they do not see it as betrayal, merely loyalty to the Kage they've sworn fealty to.

I forgot to mention, did we already freshen up on the world scenario? Basically Fire Damiyo (nephew of the previous damiyo, killed his uncle for the throne and threw out his uncle's rightful daughter and heir) gone Hitler and started conquering smaller shinobi villages (like Kusa, etc.) The slight issue that probably makes the disastrous alliance with Konoha a even bigger problem is that the world is convinced Konoha is on the new Fire Damiyo's side and regaining being militant and all.
That can give the Iwa Council yet another +1 Reason why Marcus screwed up badly.

Yeah, I believe that's the best route to go with and with team burrito leaving Iwagakure.
Before you contacted me with this idea of team burrito becoming their own group and leaving Iwa. I was thinking of actually transfering Shizuka to Konoha but I believe I can base Shizuka's departure around that with some new stuff.
Question, since we're basically missing-nin from our village now. Will we still be hunted? Even with the current state of Iwa?

Yeah, I believe that's the best route to go with and with team burrito leaving Iwagakure.
Before you contacted me with this idea of team burrito becoming their own group and leaving Iwa. I was thinking of actually transfering Shizuka to Konoha but I believe I can base Shizuka's departure around that with some new stuff.
Question, since we're basically missing-nin from our village now. Will we still be hunted? Even with the current state of Iwa? ProtoXtreme So do I. I think that's the most likely explanation for how we just got up and left.
I forgot also Iwa was attacked by Nephew and forces.
Since it was partially Konoha's fault of the trio's bind, I'm sure Konoha'll welcome the three. The village also need all the help they can get for their own issues too, so it would be safe sanctuary for one matter and the new Hokage - Zephyr's student, will explain what happened to Zeph - does know of the kids and would be more than glad to welcome children whom were associated with his sensei's friend (Marcus).
Yes, we're considered basically missing-nin (a fact that makes Shin very indignant, since he was Kiri born to begin with xD). But leaving his feelings aside, yes we will probably be hunted, so in the travel part of the timeskip story, we can mention about the three sticking close to each other since they would have left the village around early Chuunin strength. Three Chuunin = theorized to be able to get the upper hand of a Jounin
Shin's Hyouton can be useful in helping us get out of binds too. So we can have a couple of stories of them traveling to other places too (maybe to Kumo's ruins first, then winding down through Ame, was going to go reside in Kusa but then heard Kusa was taken over by nephew. So in the end they have to plan on how to get into Konoha since they hear rumors from people along the way in Fire Country that the damiyo was planning to siege Konoha.
We can make it that the kids got into Konoha before the siege officially started and Senju clan's barrier system sealed the village away from the enemy. We probably had a rough settle-in since Hyuuga Yokou is in a coma, and the only other person who knows of them - the present Hokage - is dumped with loads of work. But he can hear his shinobi muttering about a child from a strange animal-based clan from Iwa. Then Shika goes rescue them from the ANBU. xD
So we open up post time-skip probably working together taking down the mercenary-nins working for the damiyo whom are lurking in the Konoha forest.

Also guys, what is the max skill you trained? -_-
The highest skill Shin has is 121 Ninjutsu, this is not counting even his almost 100 chakra control, leaving me with the option of either recalibrating him at Kage level due to the new skill cap - which I don't want to - or push him to Jounin.
Also in recalibrating before submitting timeskip writing for points, trained points break stat cap. But I think Level 30 is enough for ~200 points of training in the new system... Meh. He'll probably be Jounin strength.

This sounds good. I don't currently have alot to add to our reason for leaving. The loyalty to our Kage will work for you guys. But Rai's motivation will be because of Gig. Since Rai for some reason idolized him.
Rai's best skill was Ninja-to. Being at 123 and Chakra control at 89. I'll have to study the new system because I currently don't know about it. Changes were implemented just before i left.
Oh and Gig gave me info and permission to explain why he went rouge in my story. Also part of my personal story involves Rai changing ALOT. Down to the depth of his personality and character traits.

Yikes...Shizuka's highest skill is 30 in taijutsu and she has a 2 in ninjutsu. I was currently training with Gig pre-timeskip in order to get her first form, weapon training and chakra control.
Would that training be finished off within the time skip?

Yes Shizuka. Any unfinished training is finished over timeskip.
Thanks Jin. Mind posting here too of why Gig went rogue? Of course I will be keeping in contact with him too. -nod-
I think Shin's reasons will be a mix of Marcus and Gig.
So it's decided then? Jin and I bump ours to Jounin rank, keep the trained skill points, and Shizuka is bumped to Chuunin rank.
Now let's get started writing... So it will be leaving Iwa part.

For some reason his wife and daughter was killed. And he went rouge to set things right throughout the world. Pretty much a Ronin. Beyond that he said i pretty much have permission to bend the story how I want.
Of course since his character is involved I will run my final story by him before submitting it.
But, I have never been here for a timeskip before. Is there a certain etiquette or guideline we need to follow when writing the stories?

Very well, I shall start off then as these scenes have been in my head the last few days.
I'm leaving Raisuke to find the Keiko and Mayuri dead.
Next scene will be the funeral.---
Theme: Imitation Peace
Those peaceful days from long ago... I long for them now. I have been foolish, not realizing how much they meant, only regretting when they are now gone. I came to the Stone a stranger, I did not mean to become attached, but you, despite the other villagers, treated me like your own. Even now, a wry smile passes, thinking of those first days... Those fights with Cronos, the complaints, especially at the rough way you handled us as punishment. But that was your way of showing you cared, wasn't it? Slowly I met more people, and indeed, before I realized, Iwa became home. Sometimes I wondered, if I was betraying the village where I was born, by growing attached to another.
Now many a long day has passed. The road before us is rough, winding and harsh, but what have we to fear? There is nothing more to lose, nothing at all. But that would not be true, wouldn't it? The precious people, I swear, this time I will never, ever let go again. This promise I will solemnly swear to myself...
Sensei, you who are still out there in the world, somewhere... Even now, do you think of us as often as we think of you? Do you perhaps still blame us...? It's almost hard to think sometimes when the memories from which today springs from seems only yesterday.
Theme: Falsetto
End of two years ago...
"I don't understand." Came Shinratsu's grumbled complaint. They were charged by their Sensei to aid his wife with the chores of the household for today. He and Raisuke were helping Keiko in the kitchens while Shizuka's happy laughter came from the other room where she was playing with Mayuri. Of course, Shin wasn't complaining about helping Keiko with physical labor, firstly he owed Gilgamesh and Keiko for taking him in ever since he made a mess at the orphanage, and besides that, Shizuka had the harder task to keep the little demon occupied (Mayuri had taken quite a liking to pulling his hair, especially his sideburns). Not to mention, if they gave Keiko a hard time, they would all have her husband's wrath to face later. Not that he would even think of such a thing anyways, she was always sweet to him, ever since the days in the Academy when she first introduced herself as their Ninjutsu instructor unlike her brute of a husband.
In fact, his concern was of a totally different matter. It was the commencement of the third stage of the Chuunin Exams in Iwagakure, and Giglamesh was only gone for the meantime to help the Tsuchikage proctor the event. In more ways than one that fact was quite a relief, not only did this give the team breathing room from their sensei's slavedriving ways (Shinratsu was sure no other team went on two missions a day or received as many grunt assignments) but also Giglamesh's presence would probably be well-appreciated by the other exasperated Iwagakurian shinobi in keeping their rather off-his-rocker Tsuchikage and his equally crazy Hokage friend in check. A week ago, all of Iwa was in quite a riot, something about the mysterious chunks gouged out of the nearby once-scenic mountain. Apparently, the Council did find out where the pieces of land went: although it went to the preparation of the stadium for the one-on-one elimination matches, that didn't mean they were very ecstatic about the fact.
No, Shinratsu's concern was of a totally different matter. After all, their team was quite eligible to apply for competing in the Chuunin Exams having been together for almost half a year when the event was announced to take place in Iwa. But their Sensei for whatever reasons duly declined the Kage when a messenger from Taida Marcus approached their team to ask.
"Shin-kun, he has his reasons, you know..." Came Keiko's quiet answer, soothingly as usual. "The others in Iwa have prepared for by far longer. He would not want to see you all injured."
"Like he doesn't do that already himself." Retorted Shin, his brow twitching slightly at the answer he had received. He dropped the sliced carrots into the stew. With a boiling gurgle, they slowly disappeared from sight. "Being Genin is...so dull. We help Takamura-obaa-chan clean her cats daily, we painted the Tao couple's new garden fence...there's that bulldog owned by Roy-san's mother whom almost bit off my hand... What are we going to do next? Help the miners extract ore?"
"But Shin-kun..." Replied Keiko as she stirred the soup delicately and tasted some on the ladle before pouring the soup out onto bowls. "That isn't the purpose of those D-ranked missions."
"What is the purpose then?" Grumbled Shin, before proceeding to hover over the bowls and slightly blow on them. The room seemed to grow a little colder noticeably as he chilled lunch.
At this, Keiko spun around, her hands on her hips.
"Shinobi live to serve their village. But, Shin-kun, how are we to protect our home if we don't even know what it means to be selfless for others?"
He was used to having an answer for everything, but even Shinratsu couldn't find a reply to that. Their team would continue working hard, of course, and when the Tsuchikage handed out medals to the newly made Chuunin, Shinratsu was there in the stadium with his teammates, politely clapping while everyone else from so many villages roared with deafening cheers.

Theme: Burning Skies
The Attack on Iwagakure
Naturally, Shinratsu didn't think too much when messengers interrupted the Chuunin Graduation Ceremony, clearly in a haste to reach several of the Kages, informing them of emergency states back home. He didn't catch quite the details of the situation, only whispered rumors of a damiyo and Hi no Kuni, the Country of Fire. He had assumed then it was merely a small political matter that those nations probably had with the Fire Nation nobility. Konoha had departed first, and the other villages whom were affected swiftly followed. Where as the celebrations were originally scheduled to last three days, by the final day, only Kiri remained.
Then the last of the foreign embassies departed too. He bought newspapers with small change he earned from missions, preferring to keep on top of news. The world was aroused with a terrible situation, news of the Fire Damiyo conquering the minor shinobi villages and destroying the rural areas belonging to civilians. Distaste rose on Shinratsu's tongue, how disgraceful, to perpetuate war so, that stupid noble.
Nearly a week had passed since then.
That day... He remembers it well. It was almost dusk, the sky the foreboding color of blood. But what was there to be worried of? Iwa was an impregnable fortress, built on the heights of mountains, not even the great Earth Master, mighty as she was with her ancient knowledge and power, was able to conquer the village with stony defenses worthy of its name. What would then a meagre human do against Iwa? Yet, Shinratsu had not failed to notice how over the past week, the Taida whom ruled the village strengthened the defenses. The entire village bustled with nervous noise, and despite constant assurances from the Council over the radio broadcasts, it was clear that worries plagued everyone.
They were charged with helping Keiko, as per usual, but Shizuka left early for home. After all, her mother would be waiting, and though in better health from the medicine Harumi brings, the elderly Henka would only be satisfied when her two daughters are home to share the dinner table. Shinratsu stayed with the couple, so it was only natural to help hours even after the team is dismissed. So he, along with Raisuke, had left behind the gates of the village, heading to the canyons following Keiko, to scour the canyons for herbs. Keiko had made a promise to the boys, to teach them how to properly prepare medicine, so that if there arises a situation where first-aid was necessary, they would be prepared.
Raisuke held on to the currently empty basket, while Keiko walked ahead with Mayuri in her arms. The child was too young to be left home all alone: Gilgamesh-sensei was busy aiding the others in the stadium with cleaning up the remnants of the Chuunin Exams. Shinratsu had picked one of the flowers from the autumn meadows, and teased the tot as he shifted it slightly out of her reach every time. The child's heterochromic eyes narrowed slightly, clearly in displeasure, and promising Shinratsu pain the next time she got a hold of his hair. A quiet chuckle from the child's mother however disrupted the minor glaring contest Shinratsu held with the small girl.
She acts as if she is older and all-knowing. Thought Shin with an exasperated roll of his eyes as Mayuri with a huff looked the other way. The child was certainly more like Gilgamesh-sensei in terms of personality. With an almost shiver, Shinratsu wondered to himself what sort of demon Mayuri will be when she's older. No, scratch that, he found himself rather feeling sorry for whoever would have the misfortune to court the girl. With how protective Gilgamesh-sensei was, that young man will first have to survive the full wrath of Iwa's Kenjutsu master.
When they arrived at their destination, Raisuke and Shinratsu worked together, Shinratsu mostly remaining with the other because it would be easier to fill the basket. Hours passed by swiftly, after all they had to find the right herb among the others, and sometimes it was easy to mistake one for the other. But when the basket was full, the boys stood. Shinratsu held onto it this time, it was only fair since Raisuke carried the basket all the way here.
"That's strange..." Mused Shin. "Where's Keiko-sensei?"
They waited, figuring it was best not to move out of place in case she would return only to find them not there. As time passed, as the sun slowly disappeared from sight over the horizon, the lengthening shadows seemed to grow all the more foreboding. This was very strange, Keiko-sensei usually won't be gone for this long even if she was to leave them for only a little while.
It was when they saw the distant light of fire and black smoke in the direction of the village when they realized something was terribly wrong.
The village!
. . .
He and Raisuke had split up to search for Keiko-sensei. There was nothing they could do to aid those back at the village, it was either that the people of Iwa would be able to handle it or not - that was something he and Raisuke would have to have faith upon. But right now finding Keiko-sensei and Mayuri came first. Though Keiko-sensei was of Chuunin standing, Mayuri was with her, and that along rendered the possibility of struggle much more unfavorable for the young mother.
When...?, he thought to himself fiercely. Neither he nor Raisuke had noticed any additional chakra presences at all! If that many slipped by, that means they had to be shinobi, because only shinobi could conceal their signatures from non-Sensor types. But it was useless to run around the dark aimlessly. He stopped in his steps, and placed his palms against the ground. A field of ice spread, the ambient weather changing. He closed his eyes, stirring up a storm.
Sensei, Mayuri...
The color of his eyes paled, and he searched with an expanded field of vision even while he hunted for their body heat signatures with his tundra field.
Please be safe.
---
Theme: Encounter
It wasn't Keiko and her child he first came upon.
"So you were the one who set up that field control Jutsu."
Four strange men, whom he had never seen before. They wore no forehead protectors, so it was hard to determine which nation they were from.
"Surprising, to see Iwa has made claim to the Hyouton Creation bloodlimit."
"Shut up." Replied Shin calmly.
He paused for a long moment.
"There was a mother and her child around this place. Where are they?"
"Hmph. Even if you do use one of the dying lineages, you're still only but a meagre brat."
"I'm asking the questions here, b*****d."
"If you are so interested, why don't you make us tell you?"
The air grew more chilling, as Shin's blue eyes filled with cold light.
"Fine by me."
Theme: First Kill
First kills leave most mourning...
"Weak."
He didn't wince as the heel of a boot crushed down on his left hand. He tasted blood on his tongue - did he bite it? But the pain was only a dulling ache compared to the rest of his body. No, that was rather difficult to describe. His body temperature had dropped to dangerous levels, his payment for managing to trap one of the enemy shinobi in the wire for his Ayame Tori and vicegrip the other until his channeled Hyouton inflicted third-degree frostbite damages at least. His whole body was numb, and where frostbite hadn't begun to creep into his muscles, it ached with burning pain.
Keeping up Shunshin and his bloodlimit had too heavy a toll on his chakra.
Yet to the surprise of the enemy shinobi, he smirked.
"You think you won?"
He held up his right hand. The last trump card.
Tatsu, Ne, U, Tori.
A thousand needles of water formed from nothingness, and then freezing solid, they launched.
It only took moments to dispatch them. Now he stood above the foreign shinobi, exhausted and quite battered from the battle, but the taste of victory gave him strength to stand.
"You know..." Grinned Shin. "It was really stupid for you to get close."
"Doesn't matter..." Gasped out the one who was still alive, his vitals having been missed by the barrage of needles. He was still critically injured however, if the pool of blood on the ground was any gauge of measure. "The woman and the brat's dead, so it's still your-..."
Shinratsu did not allow the other to finish, as his foot crushed down on the man's mouth. His pretty face distorted into a mask of hate.
"Shut the hell up."
He froze the man's head, leaving him to die a suffocating death.
"You are the one who's dead."
First kills leave most mourning...
But he felt nothing.

:O That...timeskip story was so amazing. I miss having those huge ideas where you have to just type it all down in an RP and the themes was a really nice touch! I have a hunch to use some songs from the Nier ost.
I'll start on my story then! Should I follow your format? or should I just start during the attack on Iwa?

Yeah, follow the format. You'll probably start similarly, though of course we can add our own personal training bits.
I just got a reply from Gig, he said Gig probably won't be attending the funeral. Or if he did, it's from the shadows. Since Gig is leaving earlier, that will probably start with us trying to stop him and then comes the funeral service.
/further update notes from most recent convo with Gig/
Shizuka adds to Team Devil Burrito survival rate because Harumi is on the squad that comes after them and every time Harumi makes a "mistake" and thus we get away.
Shinratsu detracts from Team Devil Burrito's survival rate because Kiri is hunting for him even though he isn't officially a shinobi of theirs. The Council had tracked down and located where he is on mainland so they had been trailing the trio too. This also goes worse later since the new Mizukage is even more interested in monopolizing bloodlimits - and Shin, as a descendant of a Hyouton lineage, being claimed by both Kiri and Iwa brings problems.
Also Team Devil Burrito is goiing to Fire Country to seek more than political sanctuary from Konoha. They're looking for a rare item that is said to have the power to resurrect the dead - it was Shin's idea and Shin is hoping if they are able to bring Keiko and Mayuri back, maybe Gig will come back to Iwa with them. So after months of research they traced the item to be in Konoha, and are probably going to make move to steal it sometime after they begin in-rp.
Thereby in the long run we'll have three villages after us - Iwa, Kiri, and Konoha.
Who's up for refuge in Suna (which onix should have reopened by half year in)? xDD

Okay, Just from reading that update, proto. I'm even more hyped into rping here again! Currently typing my time skip story biggrin .
That resurrecting thing may come into use then in my time skip story then...Intriguing. >:3c
So after we steal the item, we'll go to Suna then? Sounds like a plan...but what if the three villages wage war on Suna for keeping us?
Edit: D: Posting may be very slow since the only computers I have access to is my moms netbook which is mainly used by my mom and my little siblings until late at night/early morning and the living room pc which is also shared between my younger siblings. I'm going ot try my best to actually attempt to force them off more, lol.
