Taka leaned against the village gate as he awaited his squad's arrival, he hoped they'd be normal Genin but he knew that, like all his other missions thus far, they'd probaly be the sons and daughters of Councilmen. They did that of course to keep tabs on him and in the hopes that the innocense of a child would make him see things their way. Well so far taka had been able to resist seeing things their way since the Invasion of Mistress. If things went as planned soon they'd all be seeing things his way, and the way of the people of the Hidden Mist. That wasn't a thing to think about right now, though he assumed he was going so far away from the village because the council didn't want him in the village.

Masaraku showed up at the beach, it seemed as if the village didn't plan on giving her a break any time soon, Daichi, the trip to the Land of Lightning, and now this. Whatever, guarding a beach was as much of a break as she could ask for. If anything she could train by the water and try to learn another jutsu.

As she looked ahead she saw that Batsu and Taka were already here, that was refreshing, she was neither the first nor the last to arrive, what a great spot to be. She waved at the Jonin and simply said, "Yo." It wasn't exactly natural for her to act formal around Taka as he was not exactly a formal type of guy himself.

Stood up and yawned lightly, he didn't like these kind of missions, it could cut in on his sleeping time... Not as much as say an ANBU assaination mission, but actually liked doing those. These ones where just too much trouble, you go and you spend a whole 24 hours just sitting. Oh and just staring at the ocean can't forget about that part. Regardless he turned to face the gathered Genin. "From now on you are all considered Team Taka. Now our mission today, my students, is to watch over our assigned stretch of beach." Taka made sure to look over each of them roughly assesing thier respective abilities. "As you know the Fire Daimyo has been overly aggressive as of late, so the threat of someone coming ashore is a real one... Honestly though it;s highly unlikely as he's still laying seige to the Hidden Leaf." As he said all of this his voice changed as he got serious. He may not like the Council, but he still carried out every mission to the best of his ability, because he still loved his village. "And with that let's go, tell me what gear you have, and what you specialize in on the way." Taka said as he started leading them off down the road.

Batsu looked up at the roaming clouds as he followed behind Masaraku. It seemed like doing that would be more gratifying. This mission was a lookout mission. That would have been okay if Taka-sensei didn't say that the chance of attack was low... such fun.

Batsu slid his hand in his pocket as he rattled off his intro.. "Batsu Watanabe. I'm the team medic. My specialty is in long-ranged attacks as well as stealth. I'm probably the fastest genin here. Future goals include learning genjutsu as well as being more skilled in poisons and my bow and arrow. With me, I have my bow, ten arrows, some kunai, bandages, fire jellyfish poison, burn salve, explosive tags, and my chakra... if that counts. Heh..."

Masaraku rolled her eyes at the new guy and said, "So your specialty is being useless? Or better yet, cannon fodder. When they storm the beach you can stand there and give them something to aim at so that they don't notice Batsu and myself coming to kill them." There was a brief pause in her speech as she stopped moving. "Now, tell me that what you said was a joke and that you may actually have something to offer up for the good of the team and I may not choose to use you as a training dummy while we wait here. Or, you can continue to be a scab on Kirigakure's knee and be useless your entire life." She started walking again and said, "Can you dig holes or cook or something along those lines?" She was a tough b***h, but this kid was acting like being a ninja was a joke.

Masaraku rolled her eyes and said, "So the next time somebody ask you what you are capable of, say that instead of making it sound as if your a useless sack of s**t." The kid didn't seem to get the reasoning behind her interrogation, but it was of no concern really, she was just trying to help him grow a pair. "If you want to train while we're there, I'll pick up the slack. Hell, why not take shifts on the patrols." If they weren't expecting much why try to hard.

Batsu had overheard the whole thing. The boy wasn't one for getting himself into unnecessary arguments, so he just remained quiet... even though he really wanted to tell Masaraku to shut up. She made no sense for her to attack someone for not being at her level. Hell, the boy wasn't born knowing how to fight! Maybe it was like that in the Hoshigaki clan, but she's not there right now and the sooner she realized that, the more functional the team will be. As far as he was concerned, Gennosuke wasn't the weak link... Masaraku was.

The boy decided that since Masaraku volunteered her services, he'd use them and would go help the other male train. Batsu politely veered off towards Gennosuke's area as he replied to Masaraku. "Fine, you'll be first shift. Contact me when you wanna call it quits. I'll be next. Ja ne..."

After saying that, Batsu followed in behind his other teammate and ended up crouching next to him as he sat down. He was more than willing to.offer himself as a training partner. He wasn't the strongest person in the world, but what he lacked in strength, he definitely made up in speed. Catching Batsu wasn't gonna be an easy task. Batsu looked over at Gennosuke and raised an eyebrow. "I don't know what kind of training involves you sitting down. So I think you should get up"
