There's many reasons to love the elk.
I love him because no one expects an elk to run his own shop. He's done very well for himself.
What's your reason?

He makes me laugh xd and I am very impressed with his ability to not only run a shop but, also be an airship captain. He can do anything! blaugh

He is a very intelligent animal who has really made a name for himself! Plus, now we have another 'pet' to choose from that isn't Rufus...or Diedirch or Radio Jack. Okay there are more than I realized. I know I love a fluffy animal.
Plus, he is intimidating.

I like him because he's the sole animal on Gaia to run his shop without being able to talk nor have anything different than a normal elk beside the more violent tendency he constantly shows.
That makes him special.

I think Frontier Skies was what sent me head over heels for Carl. He was the only guide who would randomly become enraged and kill crew members, which made the whole game a lot more exciting.
