Love and War
Extra: Now that we are done taming animals, it's time to let loose two animals called love and war. You are required to make two tekteks; one for each theme. The love tektek doesn't have to have a dude attached to your avatar, but it needs to symbolize love. War requires weaponry or some sort of anger implied. These need to be as realistic as possible pertaining to the themes.
Price Limit: 1,000,000 gold in all. This means that you are required to have both of the tekteks cost added together to equal this. Furthermore, this requires the Price List Code (with avatar) that is above the Not Included With Price spot when your finished tektek is shown.
Due Date: July 18th at 5:00 PM Gaia Time

1. BrokenJanders - Quite frankly, yours was the only one that was outstanding to me. I liked both very much and you balanced the colors well. I’m also glad that you took the advice given.
2. Crazy_Cassidy15 - I thought your love one was very cute and unique. :3 The war one could have used some gloves and I didn’t like the hairpins chosen. But still, these were nice~
3. Kiria Night - Although a bit plain, your love and war themes are both realistic but in much different eras. xD Anyways, the love one could have used bracelets, gloves, and something more to the face. The general could have had a head item, but I was fairly satisfied with it. 3nodding
4. Huka-Boo - First, I liked your war one a lot; no changes needed. The love one didn’t quite work in that the shirt, skirt, and boots don’t flow well together in how they are formed on the tektek. Example is that the shirt is for something more airy looking while the skirt is more stiff and for tight fitting while the boots are more casual wear. Also, some bracelets, a necklace, and a head item would make it work much better~
5. Uta Sumire - These were VERY simple item wise, but don’t look bad. The items cover the tekteks well and make it hard to advise extra things on them. Still, the love one could have a head item, a belt, and maybe a tattoo if daring.
6. Commonsense of BlindEyes - These used a lot of items, but weren’t in my preference. There are too many greens used in the war one; it’s best to use three colors in all and that includes shades of a color in it. It will make it flow better and be a bit more appealing. I really like the love one except for the shirt part. It doesn’t go with any other whites on the tektek and looks out of place. These look good though~
7. Zig Zag Zebra - I admit, your love one is kinda cute, but there’s something about it I don’t like…maybe the hat. The war one I wasn’t too impressed with in that it could use some tattoos on her limbs and the jacket is the only green thing in there. Try to spread out your colors and keep it even~ 3nodding
8. Jesusgirl115 – I was impressed with how much my advice improved your tekteks; they look much better. My best advice is to accessorize! Don’t be afraid to use items and try to layer them up a bit. :3
9. Sakura Nashimara - It’s too bad that you didn’t take my advice that I posted for you; it would have improved these a lot. These tekteks needed more accessories to complete their look and have a lot of potential to look awesome~
10. Disturbed Clowns - I know that I said to make them as realistic as possible, but the wedding in a white dress and everything is a bit cliché. Still, if you added more of that red throughout your avatar, it could have looked a lot better and more POW! The war one looks a bit messy and you used three bloody bandage items. Be careful with repeating items!
11. TheDollxxHazuki - These were very plain. It’s very much like what the bvase for both of them would be and could have looked wonderful if you used accessories. Be sure to accessorize; it will take you far!
12. iiShexii_Mamiixs - I wasn’t impressed with these. They were simple and didn’t quite pop out to me like the others. The love one needed accessories on the head, arms, legs, and there was space on her neck and chest for a necklace. The war one could have had tattoos, gloves, and a gun since they have bullets afterall. xD
13. karate chop kitten - These used very little items and it shows on the tekteks. The shirt used for war looks like something that would be for a female avatar and it could have used some more accessories on it. Love needed some accessories as well on it, but the idea wasn’t too bad.

1. Broken Janders - Excellent tekteks! I like how yours are really different and not the conventional Love & War tekteks. Your war one was particularly creative and both tekteks have flow in terms of colour.
2. Huka-Boo - Great tekteks! At a low budget they both look really good. They fit perfectly in with the theme. Well done.
3. iiShexii_Mamiixs - I really like your Love tektek. It's cute and it looks good. Your War tektek however is a little lacking. If your war tektek had been as good as your Love tektek, I probably you have put you in second spot. Good job though!
4. Zig Zag Zebra - Your tekteks look nice and simple. I'm sure a fair bit of work went into them. They fit perfectly in with the requirements and theme of this challenge. I would have given you a higher spot if it had more "wow factor". Good job though!

There's a big difference between someone who murders people and someone who fights and kills in war. Otherwise, I would have placed you higher. Your Love tektek is good.

However, I place you pretty low on the scale because I felt that if you had to wear your avatar like the Love tektek, no one would know that it's meant to represent love. To me, that tektek would fit under the category of grief. Your War tektek is good.
10. Crazy_Cassidy15 - Perhaps an explanation of why your Love tektek involving baking would be good because it doesn't make sense to be, even though it looks good. I feel that you War tektek needs more work. It looks to me like the girl is a hunter or a "jungle version" of Lara Croft. It needs more flow.
11. Sakura Nashimara - I don't quite understand the outfit Claire is wearing. Is it meant to represent something? I like your War tektek. The idea of tribal war is really creative.
12. Disturbed Clowns - Although you have met the requirements of this challenge, I don't think you're meeting the criteria of this competition: creativity. I'm sure you can do a lot better than a wedding tektek. What you've chosen to do for your Love tektek is too common on Gaia. Your War tektek is fine. Try to make your tekteks a bit different from the conventional ones that have been circulating on Gaia and I'm sure you'll come up with something amazing.
13. Uta Sumire - Your War tektek is okay but not impressive. Your Love tektek however is a bit hard to tell that it's about love if gone without any explanation. I'll give you points for making your Love tektek a guy. The idea is there but I think you need to work on it a bit more. You could perhaps add one or two more things to your War tektek to make it look even better.
Streets of Nowhere
1. Zig Zag Zebra - I like the style of these tekteks. I like that you used similar bases to give a constant and suggests that people could go wither way. And that helps portray the theme well without overdoing it.
2. BrokenJanders - I like how these two tekteks contrast each other so clearly. There's an obvious light to love and darkness to war. They're well detailed and matched, though for both I think the feet let you down slightly (but I know how hard it can be to get feet perfect!)
3. Huka-Boo - I just want to start by saying this is a definite improvement from last round for you. You've managed to tone down the excess so the theme is clear and the tekteks flow well overall. there are some slight colour mismatches on the love tektek (the blue on the head, the gold on the tutu) colours that don't continue through the tektek...
4. Commonsense of BlindEyes - I like that you used the idea of camouflage for your colour scheme of war, where a lot of people steered away from green. I think it worked for you - though the eyepatch is a little bright for blending. I was less fond of your love tektek, where I feel the background you used detracted from the efforts you put into the body of the tektek itself
5. TheDollxxHazuki - I like your use of red for both tekteks, showing the dual nature of the colour, that we use blood to symbolise death but also life. However your tekteks use a few expensive items which makes them look simple. The budget may have been better utilised adding cheaper items that gave complexity and depth to the tekteks.
6. Uta Sumire - I like that you connected the tekteks through the story and it is almost reflected in the use of colours, a mainly dull colouring with the highlight of red on both. However the use of few items on each tektek (especially the love one) doesn't show as much of your tekteking abilities as your story telling ones.
7. iiShexii_Mamiixs - You definitely achieved the themes but the tekteks are unbalanced. It doesn't look like your efforts were split 50/50. I really like your love tektek, it looks much more thought out and it flows well where as your war tektek seems slightly rushed.
8. Crazy_Cassidy15 - I like that you used yellow on your love tektek. It's a happy and underused colour in my opinion, saying that the colours don't flow too well on this tektek. It's cheerful and I can see it represents love but it lacks finesse. I can see on your war tektek that you tried to match colours but the placing of colours seems a bit piecemeal. A good effort but it needs refining.
9. Disturbed Clowns - I like your war tektek. The colours match but it's slightly blocky. Breaking up colours would make it better. The love tektek is obvious. I'm not trying to say don't follow the theme but I feel like the wedding is an easy way out and it doesn't demonstrate skill. It's once again blocks of colour and also very simple.
10. jesusgirl115 - I want to say here that there is a definite improvement from last round. These tekteks show much more complexity than your previous one. But the colours are mismatched. Whilst the general theme is achieved the tekteks themselves don't flow as well as they could.
11. Sakura Nashimara - I like your love tektek for itself but I don't feel that the theme is strong within it. It seems that the body of the tektek was put together to be well matched then the story added to link back (I'm not saying this is what happened but that's how it comes across to me) The war tektek is very simple, it also seems to portray a feeling of joy at war rather than anger.
12. karate chop kitten - This is a pair of tekteks where the good story behind it is not matched by the efforts of the tekteks. The tekteks appear simple and the love one especially does not appear to have taken much effort. Also I feel that the main emotion portrayed here is sadness, not love or anger. I understand where it comes from but I feel the idea wasn't pulled off as well as it could be.
13. Kiria Night - I appreciate that you were trying to take a different approach on love but the tektek doesn't flow well. It's not an obvious theme follower and a lack of matching and complexity means it wasn't as good as it could be. The war tektek is similarly poorly put together. It seems that you started on the right track with matching and theme but then lost your way a little. I think losing the horse and using that gold to make the tektek itself more fierce would have been better.
