I really like Thane, I hope there is a way to cure his disease in Mass Effect 3.
He was my romance choice since I didn't romance anyone in the first one, reading his letter to FemShep (if you romance him) made me go "aww" in the Shadow Broker DLC xp
I also lol'd hard at Mordin telling the side effects of a Human/Drell relationship rofl

Yeah, I've also chosen him as my character's love interest for the first play-through. I haven't quite gotten to the letter part yet, but I've heard it's sweet.
As for Mordin, yeah, that part is funny. It's funny to hear his different bits of "advice" for each Shepard/(insert alien here) romance. blaugh

Question do the Drell live in an under water world because I can help but think that he looks kinda like a frog or some other type of amphibian

Drell came from a harsh desert planet (which is why they have a total recall on their memories), but the hanar brought a large number of them to the Hanar planet which is largely, if not completely, water-based.

Actually, I don't think they've adapted to the Hanar planet, yet. I think in one of the conversations, Thane mentions his species only having been there for a few hundred years, at most?????
The drell design is based off of a tropical fish, though.

He is a pretty awesome character, very quiet and always follows his morals. Also an awesome assassin sniper ninja .

Thane's disease, Keplar's Syndrome, is a drell disease caused by over-exposure to humidity, and is the leading cause of drell deaths on the Hanar homeworld. The drell live on climate controlled domes on that planet to make it more habitable according to ME wiki.

Hm i think that the disease could easily be cured if a few (by few i mean ALOT) Asari, turian,Salarian, Even Krogan and Human scientists put there heads togethire and figured out the weakness to the disease. or they could just dunk thane in a fish tank and call it a day wich im pretty sure they`ll do X3

Awwww hell... now I'm imagining the drell version of Carousel when they turn 21 and they float themselves down into a murky waterflooded doom instead of firey explosions xD (imaginary cookies to anyone who gets that reference)
