RP Log for my Azrein.

PostPosted: Sun Jun 26, 2011 3:41 pm

"First Steps"
Nailiah
Start Date: June 26, 2011
End Date: N/A (In Progress)
Players - King Azreth & Cherry Atomic Cupcake
Azrein - Valdien & Tasunke

Dark x Deception
-Simply chuckles- Oh I'm sure it's not all that bad. But no one really knows what happens when you get a bunch of colorists together. -looks over to the white mare with the blood red hair- But lucky for me, manasstalker found my girl. My King, may I present Nailiah -Grins wide looking up toward the King then to the mare-

Nailiah
Nailiah - Politely comes forward lowering her head deeply toward King Azreth, left hoof lifted and pointed backwards in a form of a formal bow. "My liege," She greets.

King Azreth
"Ahh, my darling," the King grins as he lowers himself into an elegant bow of his own. "What a fine beauty you are. It is a pleasure to meet you." Azreth rises from his low bow, his eyes tracing the mare's body as he checks her conformation, walking in a slow circle around her.

He comes to a stop at her head and claps his hands, laughing. Azreth places his slender, ring-leaden hands on either side of her jaw, cupping her rounded cheeks in his palms. He lowers his head to press his forehead against her own and murmurs, "Welcome to the Isle, Lady Nailiah."

Dark x Deception
Dark stands to the side beaming with pride and joy. "She's my best friend. I don't think I could ever thank manasstalker enough honestly."

Nailiah
The mare steadied herself again as King Azreth came to inspect her. She stood perfectly still, not even blinking or flicking an ear or even twitching her tail. Nailiah gave a gentle snort, nostrils flaring as she took in the scent of the man she would willingly serve. She nudged her nose against his neck, silver eyes gently glowing with elation. "I thank you for the greeting, my King. I look forward to exploring and serving when I can." The mare's voice was full of earnest sincerity.

Tasunke
Watches from the bale of hay he was nibbling on that he 'found'. The red mane and tail were in interesting enough contrast. He kept his demeanor cool as he munched on his snack, watching the people and other Azerin.

King Azreth
The King blinked in genuine surprise. He was amazed at how many of these Azrein willingly offered their lives and service to his cause.

Valdien
Valdien trotted lightly up to the King, nosing him between his shoulder blades. "I return, my Liege." The stallion sunk down into a bow, extending one of his forelegs to lower his chest nearly to the ground. The half-cloak he wore around his shoulders pooled on the grass beneath him before Azreth gave him the signal to rise.

King Azreth
The King turned around to face Val, a smile breaking his normally sardonic features. He wrapped his leanly muscled arms around the stallion's neck, closing his eyes in peace as he breathed in the calming scent of his Bonded. "I worried about you, my friend."

Valdien
Valdien tucked in his nose, pulling the King closer to him and looked over his shoulder at Nailiah. "My lady; I have not seen you before. My name is Valdien, the King my Chosen, and I am protector of the Greater Herd. I bid you welcome."

King Azreth
Azreth turns around, leaning back against the stallion's shoulder and smiles at Nailiah. "And I thank you for your service, little one." The King tips his head and winks at Dark. "You will always find your Azrein there for you. Even if they physically leave your side, they are with you; mind, body, heart and soul."

Dark x Deception
Dark watched as another Azrein came by. He appeared to be of the royal lines based on his dress and demeanor, and it didn't take her long to find out that he was bonded to King Azreth. She greeted him with a smile and a bow herself. She then turned to the King. "I think I know what you're talking about. Already I kinda feel her. I'm still getting used to this, but we're both learning."

Nailiah
Nailiah bows just as Dark had when she noticed the stallion come in. From what she heard, he had come from patrols. It was only when he introduced himself that he made more sense to her. Nailiah gave a friendly smile, ears forward to catch his words - his voice. "My name is Nailiah. It is an honor to meet you, Valdien." Her eyes studied him quickly, but she felt another presence near by. She feigned a stretch of her neck to get a better look at her surroundings. Nailiah hadn't smelled another stallion, but her eyes caught him at her movements. Her eyes returned to King Azreth and again, she gave another bow of appreciation. "My Liege."

Tasunke
Gave the mare a crooked grin when she noticed him, however briefly. His tail swished side to side lazily, the feathers that had been tied in the long hair fluttered behind the motion.

He watched the winged one, and how the Azerin reacted with their humans. He didn't understand the urge some of the Azerin felt to bond with a human. He'd never had any such need. He didn't reject the idea, it just wasn't for him.

With a blade of hay hanging out the corner of his mouth, he trotted over to the little gathering, then stopped a few feet away, not wanting to get too close.

Dark x Deception
As Dark excused herself from the King, she patted Nailiah on the neck. "You can stay here. I'll get home ready for ya." She grinned and slipped away leaving the mare to herself.

Nailiah
Nai looked a little interested in the King and his chosen, but she dare not intrude. However, the brown stallion began to peak her interest. She quietly excused herself and moved to greet him. And greet him indeed for the mare almost bumped into him not paying attention. She backed up a little, neck flung back to remove her mass amounts of hair from her face. "I apologize. I didn't mean to... I'm quite clumsy." She was a little embarrassed that her first time alone, she was a total klutz. The white mare with the ruby red hair cleared her throat and smiled. "I'm Nailiah. May I ask of your name?" Her demeanor was friendly, and she tried to make herself as non-threatening as possible which quite frankly was quite easy. Nailiah didn't look like much of a warrior nor did she seem she could hurt a fly.

Tasunke
He didn't even budge when she bumped into him. He only grinned a crooked, cocky sort of grin. "No worries, pretty lady. No harm done." He turned and walked slowly around her, looking the girl over.

"My name is Tasunke, but you can call me Tas if it's easier for you to remember." He stopped when he got back around to stand infront of her.

"Might I ask you a question?"

Nailiah
Nailiah gave him a particular look. He sure was cocky sort of brute, but it wasn't the arrogant, idiot sort - at least she hoped not. As he did his stroll around her frame, she watched him with her eyes taking him in as well. The symbol on his leg was definitely interesting and his feathers were something she had never really seen before on an Azrein. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Tasunke." She smiled. "I like your name. It's very strong...brave even." Her ears flicked forward toward him as he stopped in front of her. "Yes? Ask away."

Tasunke
He really wasn't arrogant, hardly even cocky. It was just the way the grin and his demeanor came out.

"Well, don't take this wrong, but why did you chose to bond with a human? I'm quite curious as to what drives one to do it." He seemed genuinely interested in her answer, and not in any sort of malicious sort of way.

Nailiah
Her silver eyes stared toward him gently as if trying to find the answer herself. "Well..." The mare slowly began as if trying to find the right words. "I'm sure it's different for everyone, but for me it...just happened. Dark and I met during a storm on the Isles. She said she was heading toward King Azreth to serve...I joined her because honestly I was curious. Maybe a little bit lonely. But the point is, it just happened. Our friendship bonded us. It's still new to me." She idly pawed at the ground with her hoof, light slightly gleaming off her bands. "Does this..answer your question. Tasunke?"

Tasunke
tilted his head side to side a few moments before nodding.

"I guess that makes some sort of sense. I may ask others as well. To see what answers they have. Could be interestin'."

He grinned all friendly like.

"So ya came here out of curiosity, huh? What's it like where ya come from?"

Nailiah
Nailiah nodded to him with a grin. "Yeah. It's just one of life's mysteries I suppose. To your other inquiry, frankly it is quite boring." The mare couldn't help but let a sigh escape her throat. "I was alone most of the time, and just sorta roamed. There were others out there. Those that were not for or against humans and those who were totally against the idea. I met a sparse few who were for the joining with humans, but from what they said, most would be within the kingdom or villages with their Chosen." Her left ear flicked ever so slightly. "What about you, Tasunke? What of your story?"

Tasunke
Shrugged, or what it would look like if a horse could indeed shrug.

"My brothers an' sisters all left ta find their Chosen. I've never felt such need. I like bein' on my own. I'm neither for, nor against partnerin' with humans. It's just not a path I've chosen for myself."

The blade of hay switched from side of his mouth to the other.

"Ya see, I like ta run free and not have ta worry about havin' someone some where waitin' on me ta come home." He shook his head, sending his mane flying. The feathers seemed to dance in the air before settling again.

He pranced about a bit, his front hooves thumping on the ground. "Ain't got no one to answer to. I'm my own horse." He chuckled.

Nailiah
The mare studied him for a moment, ears perked forward interested in what he had to say. As far as she knew, she probably had brothers and sisters, but she left home as fast as she could. Mother and Father always smothered their baby girl, but she really didn't want them on her back for her whole days. However, she found herself missing them now. Go figure.

"That...is reasonable. I believe every horse should be who they want and be true to themselves and their nature. I just kinda found mine." She smiled a little. "I think you'll do well for yourself."

Her eyes watched the feathers, the flow of his mane, the twitching of his mouth and the blade of hay, then finally she met his gaze. "You truly are your own. I can see it all in your presence." Nailiah flicked her tail gently striding past him toward the bundle of hay. She was getting a little hungry and it looked quite appetizing. "Join me?" She called back over her shoulder. She rather did like meeting new Azrein and keeping conversation. Nailiah could be a bit of a loner really.

Tasunke
Lifted his head a little higher at the appraisal. "Thank you. I do try." Well, he really didn't. He just let the stuff that as him pour out all on it's own.

He turned to follow her. "Of course. Now that ya mention it, I could use a bit of a snack."

And he was a gentleman. It would have been rude to turn her down and leave her to her own devices.

Why, his father would have been shocked, if he had known his father that is to say.

He continued to grin that absently cocky grin.

Nailiah
She nodded to him reaching the hay bale. "You try very well." She stretched her neck out and took a mouthful eating slowly. Nailiah was a hearty eater and often times ate with much vigor which would make quite a mess. But she was with company and her mother did raise her with some manners that stuck. She still by no means would starve herself however. "I'm glad that you concur." Nailiah flicked her tail toward him after swallowing her mouthful. "How long have you been here?" She absently asked just trying to make conversation. She reached in for another generous mouthful munching all the while. Quite sweet! She'd have to ask Dark to get her some hay such as this if the human could!

Tasunke
took a mouthful of hay himself and munched away. it took him a few moments until he was able to answer her without spitting chewed up hay at her.

"My whole life. Though I come and go, here and there. I like the hill side the best, though."

Nodded his head matter-of-factly as he took another bite.

"Don't know many Azerin though," he said around a bit of hay. "Most of the one's I come across are in the Kings herd, so they don't want too much to do with a free spirit like myself."

Nailiah
Nailiah flicked her ears. She sneezed as she dove in for another round of hay. "Excuse me." She murmured taking another bite. She half spoke then realized she was still chewing so she quickly finished then picked back up her sentence. "Well, though they may be in the King's herd, I'm sure they are free spirits themselves." Nai lowered her head giving him an inquisitive glance. "Mayhaps? In actuality, everyone is a free spirit, but we're all different. And I'm sure if given the chance, they would like to." She nodded affirmatively going for another bite of hay.

"Of Amazons and Kings"
Dark x Deception
Start Date: June 26, 2011
End Date: N/A (In Progress)
Players - King Azreth
Azrein -

Dark x Deception 9:55 pm
Dark slowly comes forward clearing her throat. "My Liege? I do not wish to bother you, only make myself known..."

Azreth 9:56 pm
The King offers a low bow to the woman, steady his crown with a slender hand. "Speak on, My Lady."

Dark x Deception 9:56 pm
"I just wanted to thank you for the hospitality you have shown me and Nailiah. We really do appreciate what your kingdom has done for us."

Azreth 9:59 pm
The King blinks his emerald eyes, slightly taken aback by her statement. With a wave of his hand, he beckons her to sit in the gilded chair beside his throne; empty of councelors at this time, of course. Azreth lowered himself into his ornate throne, tossing a leg over the golden-plated arm haphazardly. The sheath of his ever-present sword rangly clearly against the metal base of the extravagant chair. "Please, sit. I fear I do not quite understand your statement. Hospitality is shown to everyone, my Lady, though I wonder what our war-ridden Kingdom has brought you that no other could." He phrased his last statement like a question.

Dark x Deception 10:03 pm
Dark did so sitting cross-legged in the chair with her hands in her lap. Her hair brushed and waved with her movements in an almost chaoticly graceful manner. She set her bow and quiver of arrows down beside her trying to fix her clothing as much as possible. "Well, my Liege, I came here because of a dream. I live in the jungles far from here, and I traveled on a whim. My feet took me here, and I'm sure I have a purpose." Dark nodded in affirmation of her answer.

Azreth 10:06 pm
Azreth shifted in his throne to better study the woman, his practiced eye picking out the defined muscles of her arms that told she did indeed know how to use her discarded bow. His piercing green eyes held no shame as they drank in every part of her; though it was not in a lustful manner. Rather, it seemed as if he was taking her measure; mind, body, heart, and soul. After several moments of silence, the King let out a sigh, reaching into his overcoat to withdraw a cigarette. A servant materliazed from the dark corner closest to the throne, candle in tow, and lit Azreth's smoke for him. The King thanked him politely in an undertone before turning back to Dark. "And what would this dream be?" His voice was stern, challenging almost, but not unkind.

Dark x Deception 10:31 pm
She realized that he would be studying her for she was different. Raised in the jungles, her form was sturdy yet light and all the accessories such as feathers, bands, light armor and very little clothing didn't leave much to the imagination. She stared him in the eyes, her own a dark shade of green/gray. At his cigarette and tone, she immediately began thinking that maybe she had angered him, but he seemed relaxed. "It at first was one of harmony and light. Then there was gray and nothing. Then darkness and chaos. Then it became a blend of everything in between. There were men and horse creatures. Some were allies, others were enemies. Then there was suddenly a war. A king riding on his steed against the dark masses of foes that await on the other side. This king wasn't alone..and yet he was. I think my dream was meant to...inspire me to go on this journey...or this quest to find this King. Whether it was to aid or hinder, I did not know. But when I met Nailiah, I became shure of my path.

Azreth 10:33 pm
The King couldn't help it; a chuckle escaped his throat. "My, my, darling, you sound like a soothsayer, though everything you have said is either true or will come true." Azreth nodded knowingly. "I am happy, though, that Nailiah Chose you. It is always a cause for joy when Azrein and Human bond, even in these dark times."

Dark x Deception 10:58 pm
Dark gave a little blush looking down at her palms. "I'm sorry! I mean...I don't know how your people treat people like me. I'm not one, but sometimes I can't help what I dream! Y'know? It just kinda happens.." She trailed off, ehr voice going quiet now as she messed with one of her feathers on her arm. "It got me in trouble at home..that's why I left." At the mention of her Azrein, she beamed. "Yes! She found me on the way here. I don't even remember us bonding, but it just happened!"

Azreth 11:09 pm
"Don't worry about it, darling." The King smiled, glad to see the girl in a less former manner. He appreciated respect and formalities; for he knew that with all he did for this kingdom, he certainly deserved them. But sometimes, he wanted to just be seen as Azreth the man instead of Azreth the King. Though he would most definitely take offense if one didn't use some sort of title unless he noted otherwise, but that was simply common sense. "Ahh, yes. Nailiah. The pretty white with the fiery mane, hmm? She's such a sweet mare. And that's interesting that you don't remember your Bond." The King's eyes unfocused for a moment, staring off into a time that Dark couldn't see. "When Valdien chose to Bond with me, I was ready to die, my Lady. I had given up all hope, all will to live, and I was wounded, willing my heart to stop its ceaseless beating. I had opened my eyes to a sound, and the first thing I saw were eyes of the purest blue; deeper than the midday sky and brighter than the sun on the waves." Azreth's tone held nothing but love, which was quite rare for anyone to hear him speak so. "Pardon the expression, but I lost myself in those eyes. I knew that never again would I have to fear being alone, have to be afraid of never having a soul to trust or someone to lean on. Valdien offered me the one thing I desperately needed; unconditional love, no matter what offense I may commit in my own mind. He told me that I was his Chosen, and that he would always be there with a love that knew no bounds..." The King's words trailed off and he frowned, irriated to find the unwelcome begginings of tears to blur his vision. He hastily blinked his emotions away, and offered the girl a s mile. "My apologies for woolgathering. It is a bad habit I fall in to sometimes. But come," his voice took on its normal tone; a deep, almost lilting baritone. "How did Nailia Choose you?"
[LONG POST IS LONG.]

Dark x Deception 11:29 pm
[Indeed]

"Thank you. That means a lot." Dark smiled then looked back down toying with her feathers. She beamed and nodded. "Quite! I'd never seen any creature like her." The girl watched as Azreth became far distant. And then he spoke of how he met and bonded with Valdien. The stallion had chosen a warrior and a friend. There was a purity in him and his Azrein that she dare not notice in any other since she could see auras. And these two were quite the pair for each other. Something that she loved to see. She brushed her fingertips against her heart feeling warmed by the story she was given. It just made her appreciate life and the fact that no matter one's status in life, everyone was still human and still had needs and emotions that needed to be fufilled and acknowledged. Dark could appreciate that. "Your emotions make you human, My Liege. And your words are your story. Keep them. They make for something special." Her eyes glittering slightly. "Oh mine? Well... I found Nailiah in a cave. It was storming and I needed shelter. Apparently so did she. I didn't realize she was there until I felt a nose touch my back. I had built a fire trying to get warm. I felt her voice asking if she could stay by my fire and become warm. I didn't hestiate and tried to make it bigger for the both of us. We spoke for a long time suddenly falling asleep and then waking up by midday. Since then, we have traveled together and over time I felt a connection with her, a kindred spirit. She had left home when she could, I was chased away. She wanted something more, I wanted something to live for. She was always seeing the good in people, I saw their potentials. It just...happened. We chose each other because in a sense, I believe we used to be a part of one soul. And there's been a warm place I could always go to ever since. She's inside me, and I her..." Dark looked toward Azreth, her hand placed over her heart as if to symbolize her bonding with Nailiah. "I wouldn't want it any other way."

"A Chanced Meeting"
Kainda

Azrein - Rakai
RP Thread

Rakai
Rakai lifts his head from the grass and tosses his head to settle his long silvery mane back into place. His keen, green eyes then swept over those in the area. He was rather glad that none of them and seemed to notice him and pester him with unwanted attention. Especially that of the sort a human would offer. He gave a small snort in disgust and flicked his silver tail. Though the company of an Azrein, could possibly prove to be entertaining.

Kainda
"Disgusting...isn't it?" Kainda came forward from his left side in his clear view, her blue mane and tail gliding and shifting with her movements. A look of toxin seemed to mask her features as she stared at the group of Azrein and humans, horn seemed to be aimed toward them. "Even if some of them have chosen not to...bond," The word seemed to be dripping acid as she spoke. "it's still a revolting thought." Her red eyes glanced over to the lightening male, a small grin on her face. "Don't you agree, Stallion?"

Rakai
Raikai turned his head to look at the striking orange azrien as she approached from his left. He was silent at her first comment as his narrow green eye gave her a quick once over, assessing her thoroughly. He liked the toxic look in the mares eyes and the general distaste that her entire being was resonating. "It is truly revolting that any Azrein would even contemplate such a 'bond' with beings as disgusting as a human." He said in a cool, silky voice turning his narrow eyes to glare at the gaggle of humans and imagining Kainda's horn impaling each and every one of them. A small, twisted smile crept onto his face, green eyes sparkling maliciously.

Kainda
"Why would they do such a thing? Give up their spirits and pride and freedom for..a weak two-legged thingy?" She snorted shaking her head violently. "It just doesn't make sense to me.." Dark eyes looked over toward his with a cruel smile. "I bet they squeal louder than they can boast. Their weak bodies are nothing against Azrein hooves," Kainda stretched her neck as if aiming toward them. "Alas, this plane is too civil for my liking. The times of simply killing just to kill is not generally noticed with understanding eyes anymore." The striped orange mare with the storm blue hair looked over to the dark and cruel male. "I'm Kainda. What's your poison, Dark Heart?"

Rakai
"Why, indeed." Rakai said coldly, a drop a venom hidden behind his words. He turned his head to look back at the mare, meeting her dark eyes. His smile twisted into a grin, a dark laugh escaping him as she stretched her neck toward the group, as if aiming to fulfill his bloody vision. "Human screams have a satisfying ring to them." He said smoothly, remembering the sounds of the humans he had personally taken the lives of. His eyes gleaming at the memory, but he was quick to regain his dark charm. "Dark heart, huh. I like that." He said silky tossing his long silver mane. "It's nice to meet someone of such a like mind, Kanida. I'm called Rakai." He replied giving her a twisted smile.

Kainda
His laugh, oh how it made her spine quiver with excitement and attraction. This was a male that was strong in mind if not in body. Maybe she could get to like his company instead of simply tolerating it as she was now. the mare stood tall and proud, pawing at the ground viciously with her hooves attacking and uprooting the poor, defenseless grass. "Oh? I'd love to hear it one day. I've heard enough screams of our kind..." Again with the acid tone to her voice and if the mare could growl she probably would. Only a strong snort would have to suffice. "I only call you what I see... Her dark smile mirrored his black grin and as he called her name, she whinnied. "Yes. That's me. Kainda. Rakai is it? Funny. Our names sound the same if you...imagine hard enough...wonder why that is.. Her voice now dripped with seduction and promises as she came closer riding around him. His hair was longer than hers, that was a bit of an agitation, but he was handsome with a twisted heart. "Tell me of yourself, if you don't mind Rakai." This was an ally she was hoping to snag.

Rakai
Rakai's expression shifted somewhat admiring Kainda's dark, fiery spirit. "Oh, I'm sure you will have the opportunity." He said in his silky voice. Another dark laugh escaped him after her statement of only calling what she sees. "Yes, Rakai." He confirmed at her question, but making no comment on the rest of her statement. His eyes narrowed and his expression became ever so slightly more charming. Two could play this mare's game and this game proved to be both fun and beneficial. He tossed his head, causing his long mane to flow through the air like liquid silver, as she trotted around him. He gave her a coy grin. "What do you wish to know of me, Kainda?" He asked, his silky tone carrying a tone of seduction as well.

Kainda
"Will you supply me with one?" She asked quite sure that maybe if he planned, she could make it happen. "I wonder what it would be like to meet these...Six that I keep hearing about." Kainda murmured thinking things over a little. His voice caught her attention yet again, back quivering a little as he spoke. Oh those nice little chills made her fire burn hotter. And speaking of burning hotter, Rakai wasn't so bad to look at. "Of your hatred. Why so strong? An endless void no one dare touch it seems." The orange mare stared him in the eyes as she came up in front of him, red eyes studying his green ones. "Maybe you are one of the fabled Six yourself. She teased. He seemed to be interested in her...or maybe feigning interest. Either way, she was the only female around and Kainda would make sure to keep it that way for now. She'd probably get bored eventually.

Rakai
"I may well do just that." His silky voice tainted with a dark truth. He had a way of getting rid of those he didn't like without actually having to dirty his hooves. His thoughts shifted slightly at her mention of the Six. He too wanted to meet the legendary human hating Azrein. However he chose not to comment about them as of yet. He swished his silvery tail as she asked for the answer as to why his hatred was so strong. "If it seems an endless void that none dare touch, why do you approach it?" He smoothly countered the question. He let her red eyes study his cold, narrow, malicious, eyes that still somehow seemed beautiful and bright. Another laugh escaped him at her tease. "What if I am? What would you do?" He asked, his coy smile growing as if he was trying to impress her, subtly.

"A Change of Heart?"
Kainda
Start Date: July 21, 2011
End Date: August 31, 2011
Players - Team Edward Cullenation
Azrein - Dark Tide

Kainda
Kainda wades in the river drinking quietly while keeping cool and away from others.

Dark Tide
Tide bounces up behind Kainda ans pokes her with his nose expecting a swipe.

Kainda
Kainda jumps a little spinning around to meet her intruder only to see the green eyes of Dark Tide. Sighs a little glaring at him almost, and yet glad to see him.

Dark Tide
Tide cocks his head in confusion at the near glare. What had he done? (god-bless the completely clueless)

Kainda
Kainda noticed his expression which just made her all the more agitated. "What? Do I have two heads or something?" She scoffed roughly brushing past him to head from the water, tail flicking to dry off causing some droplets to fly.

Dark Tide
No! he called and raced in after her. He got splashed with droplets from her tail and hurried around to her side. You have one head and it is most lovely. How have you been?

Kainda
Kainda simply looked him over relaxing a little. "I guess you're not so bad yourself..." Her tail flicked gently as she slowed. "I've been fine...and yo-" The mare stopped only when his attention seemed to go to another did she become tense, and took off again in a tempered, stomping trot.

Dark Tide
I was only seeing who was knew I promise I didn't mean anything by it!
Tide rushed off after Kainda splashing through the water with out another glance to the new mare (lucky for him) kainda had become his new obbsession.

Kainda
Kainda gave a loud snort. Why was she letting this male affect her in such a way? He was only interested in pretty and tail. She was neither of these. The female glared toward him. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." She'd be damned if she fell for that trick again.

Dark Tide
Tide sighs and waits by her side. You know if that were a guy and you went over to say Hi I would wince but probably not explode in a fit of jealously. Sorry for disturbing you princess. Tide bowed and slunk away.

Kainda
Kainda tried to ignore him and the tugging of his voice on her heart strings. He had the same green eyes as Rakai. He was strong and full of promise much like she searched for. But her ideals..her promise to the greater good...

As he walked away she closed her eyes tightly shaking her head, her nostrils flaring and body shaking. Rolling her eyes she turned to catch up to him only to stand in front of Dark Tide and wrap her neck around his. "You better be worth it." Her eyes were shut tight as she felt something within her swell. A strange feeling...

Dark Tide
Dark Tide stood stunned. The fiery, lovely mare stood wrapped around him. He new that they would squabble and vehemently at that but... She was so strong so pure and her past was so dark that she deserved to be angry. He closed his eyes and curled his neck around hers. She was so special. He never ever wanted her to hurt. And if that meant leaving his brother's herd well Tide didn't make the laws... his heart did.
"I know you are worth it Kainda." He had never quite felt this way before, he was beyond lust or want, was this what Ion felt with Opal? What was this?

Kainda
Kainda shut her eyes tightly trying to fight back tears. She was still arguing with herself and her mind, yet her heart was telling her this wasn't so bad...he wasn't so bad. But she was bad. She was cruel. She didn't believe in what he did...

But could she learn?

What the eff kind of thinking was that? Changing her whole ideals? She sighed pushing down her thoughts for now and simply enjoying his company. His scent enveloped her and she felt his strength as he breathed. "Oh I know.." Kainda was slowly starting to warm back up. "Come, I want to show you something." She pulled away and began trotting toward the forest where they first met.

Dark Tide
Obligingly Tide trotted after Kainda. Slowly he recognized that they were heading to their sparring field. He wondered what there was to see there, he was excited to find out. What secret was she keeping, he did like surprises.

Kainda
The mare slipped through the forest careful of the brush and fallen trees and limbs. Her ears flicked feeling her mane and tail wave gently behind her. Slowly, they came to the clearing where they first met. Kainda trotted up to a tree standing on her hind hooves. Steadying herself, she poked her head into the hole of the tree carefully. Kainda then dropped down holding two flowers in her hand. One was the yellow lily while the other was a dark green lily. "You don't know HOW long it took me to find this." The mare spoke through teeth trotting toward him.

---Page 1---

Dark Tide
Tide's mouth fell open a little. He had heard of a green lily before, never mind saw one. It was beautiful in a green and living sort of way a beauty that one could never explain to someone who had never seen a flower before.
Kainda where did you find that? It's beautiful! he grinned at her. She had kept his lily! He was excited and delighted and she had also found something that he had never seen before.

Kainda
Her nostrils flared as she gave him a look, her bangs falling in front of her face a little. "Like I said, Dark Tide, it took a long time. And it was near a pond...with fish..." Her tail flicked a little as she offered it to him carefully. "Did you want to go there?" Kainda stretched her frame a little, her tail flicking against her legs and rump. It was starting to get dark, and she clearly didn't remember the way to the pond without light.

Dark Tide
Really? That sounds like my pond? Was it across a rather large field from the lake? he asked as he took her gift. I would very much like to go there but I was hoping that I would get to show it to you. However it is getting dark so perhaps tomorrow? He nudged her cheek with his face. "Can I take you up on that offer of a snuggle? Do you know a suitable resting place nearby?" He smiled at her. She could have found him perhaps no greater give than a impossibly rare green lily. It meant much to him.

Kainda
"Something like that." Her ears flicked as she gently murred. Her dark red eyes scanned the clearing. She was caught off guard by his nudge and the fact that he wanted to "snuggle". Who the eff used the word "snuggle?" Kainda looked toward Dark Tide very carefully. He had the mind of a child sometimes. She'd have to remedy that sooner or later. Her head tilted toward the clearing. "I mostly sleep here but I think there could be somewhere else in the forest." Her nostrils flared a little taking in the night air. "So what's so special about your pond? What do the fish look like?"

Dark Tide
Well there are quite a few fish in there and they are rather large but harmless. the hav lovely long flowing fins and come in a variety of colors. Sensing her disdain at his earlier comment. Kainda when I said "snuggle" I meant "Share the night and keep each other warm" he had to remember who he was talking to before he started blurting out girly words again. I thought I saw a nice place with thick moss that would work. he offered. Would you like to go there?

Kainda
"I do remember the fish. They were...strange. Never saw anything like them. Why are they your fish?" She looked at him with a questioning glance. At his explanation of his vocabulary, she gave a rough snort. "Dark Tide, you don't need to explain yourself unless asked. And I know what you meant." The mare nipped his ear a little in affection and in lesson. "Moss is nice. And warm. I will follow." Kainda nodded forward still clutching her own flower within her maw.

Dark Tide
Tide led the way with his green Lily held gently in his teeth. Well technically they are not my fish nor is it my pond but that is the place where I spend most of my time you see. Well when I am not scouting that is. Tide moved slowly under the trees occasionally the branches stroked his back and he moved to prevent them from slapping Kainda in the face. It was always easier to be the first one through the trees not the last. He held his neck curled while he traveled through the dense brush to prevent his lily from becoming damaged. Slowly but surely he made headway and soon the forest floor became cushioned with moss and small flower stalks. They soon arrived at a hidden vale where the moss grew thick and lush its light green color glowing in the near dark. Here we are Kainda

Kainda
Kainda listened carefully following behind him just as quietly. She used her horn to guide the branches and such from her face through she was grateful for Dark Tide's help. "Not scouting huh? Someone shirking their duties?" The mare teased gently nipping Tide's side as she caught up to him about midway. Surprisingly, she kept a firm grip on the orange lily as if she was afraid of letting it go. Soon she noticed the area growing slightly thick and the air about them a little warmer. Her hooves felt strange, like she was walking on clouds. The moss' beauty was slightly enchanting and the night came to a steady crawl. "Do you come here often?" Kainda asked coming forward to stand beside him, her red eyes searching his green ones. His bangs sometime hid his face which annoyed her a little, but she could at least see one of his eyes at any given time. That made her happy. He made her happy..

Dark Tide
Tide laughed at Kainda's teasing and flicked her very gently with his tail for the n**.
Tide stared at her with one warm green eye. "No I don't come here very often I found it one night when I was scouting the woods and I kinda remembered where is was in the back of my mind for a while." He leaned over to nuzzle her nose a little. "Its sort of enchanting isn't it?" he asked his eyes glowing with the wonder of it. Reflected in his retina was an image of his Kainda and moss that nearly matched the color of his eyes. It was an odd moment and he shook himself a little before proceeding to walk about and prod the moss, testing for thickness, flexibility and overall comfort. This was a special night for him and he wanted Kainda to be comfortable here. He finally settled on a thick patch of well grown moss under the hanging tendrils of a sedate and ancient willow. A tree that had no doubt seen many azrein who had chose this vale.

Kainda
Kainda watched him slowly as he began to prod and test the moss. In all honestly she would have just collapsed on the ground, curled up, and would soon start to snore she was so tired. And yet, she was trying to be...what was the word? Considerate? She was trying to be considerate of his...affections for her well being it seemed. It made her feel somewhat...special. Kainda blinked a few times trying to clear her head as she listened. "So you scout for who? I mean really, who owns all this land? Even the King doesn't." The mare couldn't help but snort her distaste as if the bile was rising to her mouth. Yet she kept a firm hold on the flower and its scent soon calmed her dark heart. At his question, she stared into his eyes and seemed to find a reflection of herself. But she was looking at the bigger picture - at Dark Tide. In this faint moss light and the gentle music of the nature around them it seemed...right. "Yeah...it is..." Kainda nickered in response, her tail flicking idly. She carefully came to the spot where Dark Tide had settled himself and before lying down to rest, placed her lily close by. She then settled herself next to him, curving her body to conform to his frame. "See? Isn't this better than a stinky brother?" The mare teased gently nipping his ear before settled her head against the moss bed to rest. Her breathing slowed as the warmth of the nest and his body were starting to take a toll. "Tell me something...before I pass out..." Her ear flicked as she moved her head a tad to look up at him. "I suppose I'll be meeting your family soon?"

Dark Tide

I scout for my brother and our herd. I havent scouted for the king yet only Ion has. I have never met the King.
Tide placed his Lily beside Kainda's and gazed at her. This is infinitely better than a stinky brother. Tide said emphatically. And he meant it, Ion had stunk to high heaven that day. Yes I expect you shall, if you want to of course, I don't want to force you into anything. They are really not to bad once you get to know them. He yawned and relaxed, soothed by her warmth and the light and beautiful mare smell that surrounded her and blended with the green moss scents of the glade. He curled his neck around hers and lay his head down, giving her a warm surface to lean into.

Kainda
Kainda listened as the crickets' songs began to slow down, becoming softer. "Neither have I. And I don't plan to for as long as I can." Her ears twitched and flicked, a slow chuckle escaped her lips. Yeah, she was a lot better than a stinky brother, but could that be said in the long run? Again, the thought was pushed from her mind as she snuggled her form closer to his. "I'll met them. Don't worry about it." Kainda was starting to fall asleep, her neck resting against his, head positioned so that her horn wouldn't poke his eye out. Her quiet snoring could be heard soon enough, the mare slipping deeper and deeper into sleep.

Dark Tide
Tide lay silent for a while and then he felt sleep tug at him as well. His mind started to drift but he never forgot who lay beside him. He was thankful that she had tilted her horn away so he could curl very close to her without being poked. The moss soon radiated their body heat back at them and Tide succumbed to sleep.

Kainda
The mare flicked her ears, consciousness tugging at her mind. She twitched her body idly, moving and slightly stretching her legs. She hadn't slept that long in a while, but then again half the time she was too paranoid to sleep. That was just how she was for the most part. But as the gentle streams of sunlight hit her face, she couldn't help but stir. It was when she realized that she couldn't move her neck due to a heavy weight did she start waking up. Kainda felt a warm body beside her linked to the weight on her neck. She couldn't help but mentally roll her eyes realizing what had happened. The big oaf keeping her warm was, in fact, Dark Tide. Kainda gave a gentle snort trying to snake her way from his iron clad neck while not bothering him.

Dark Tide
Dark Tide cracked an eyelid, still groggy and smiled at Kainda's attempts to get him off, gently. He slowly raised his head and yawned. He was content to lie their for a little while with her. It had been a pleasant evening and his dark coat was absorbing the sun in a pleasant manner. He sniffed the air carefully, no danger and no other azreins near. Tide nibbled on a stray strand of grass.

---Page 2---

Kainda
Kainda flicked her tail gently feeling him awake. The mare tried to look toward him by bending her neck back. When she couldn't, she turned her head over to the other way only to bump her nose into his cheek. She whickered gently in laughter nudging his snout. "Morning Tide." Kainda greeted in a whisper trying to wake up. She was still a little sleepy, but his warmth made her feel good. "Did you sleep well?"

Dark Tide

"Yes actually I did." he said as her nudge jolted him into functioning wakefulness. He nudged her back gently with the soft spot on his nose. It was nice to wake up with her and not Ion's loud snoring. The moss cushioned them quite nicely. And there was no cold breeze off the lake in the early morning. He liked it here. It was pleasant.

Kainda
The mare stretched and yawned, her ears flicking forward. She wanted to lay here all day really. The area was nice and peaceful, and the moss was wonderfully soft. But nothing would get accomplished if they did nothing but lay down all day. "I suppose we should head back soon...to see your brother?" Kainda flicked her head trying to move her forelock from her face as her eyes studied him.

Dark Tide
Dark Tide was reluctant to get up. He didn't want to jostle the lovely creature who rested beside him. "Yes I suppose we should," mused Tide. "Enthallion will love to meet a new mare. He is a foal that the herd adopted when we found him stuck in the lake mud" Tide said. Her yawning made him yawn again in return. He nudged the two lilies where they lay. Perhaps Ion would know how to preserve them. Tide didn't want either to wilt on them.

Kainda
"Foals. Cute." The mare had mixed feelings on children. They were either strong or they weren't. Plain and simple. If he spoke of the one that got stuck in the mud, he probably wasn't that bright. She doubt a foal like that would be able to have survived her childhood. Her nostrils flared as she looked toward the flowers. "Well maybe we can find someone who knows...what about keeping them in the pool with your fish?" Kainda arched her eyebrow at the idea reaching her neck forward to nibble on some grass in front of her. "You did say we would visit them. And if it's the same place, that is where I found your flower." Kainda nudged his cheek again before moving her frame to stand. The mare made sure to stretch her leg muscles as well as her neck and as much of her torso as she could. She began to walk around him as if to stretch, careful not to step on him or the two lilies.

Dark Tide
Dark Tide grinned at Kainda's flirtations and brightened at her idea. Actually, that is an excellent idea Kainda, they should do very well in the water. He seemed to glow from within at the idea of their lilies not wilting. He watched her stretch avidly, she was a graceful supple creature and he was grateful that she had freely chosen to keep him warm that night. I am sure the fish will be on their best behavior.

Kainda
Kainda chuckled a little. "Let the fish be fish, Dark Tide. I'm sure they don't mind us watching them. Tell me about them?" The mare tilted her head in question lowering her head to gently pick up both flowers. She offered Dark Tide's his lily as her red eyes watched him watch her. He was...ok fine, so he was quite gorgeous. Such a hunk of a stallion with such an amazing imagination. And their respect for one another was..quite nice. She enjoyed his company, but what of the future? Kainda couldn't help but give a small sigh at the thought, her eyes growing distant as if in thought. The mare didn't want to worry him, but it was going to happen eventually. Maybe sooner than she was ready to admit. "We better hurry before they wilt too much more. Both have been out of the water for some time." Her nostrils flared, tail moving behind her as she moved. "You coming, Dark Tide?"

Dark Tide

"Well they are very gentle and peaceful and they tickle when they nibble. They never bite but occasionally get stuck in my tail. They are brightly colored and lovely, I believe that they are some kind of carp. Koi perhaps."

Dark Tide took his lily and admired the beautiful oasis that was Kainda. She was graceful, supple and powerful. He wondered what she was thinking.

"Yes I am coming. Wouldn't miss it for the world!"

Kainda
"Oh those poor fish." Kainda began, flicking her tail toward Tide's face and neck. "I do hope they don't get tangled in that tail of yours. Must be torture." She gave a small smirk as her nose nudged his cheek. "Well they're obviously not as pretty as me lest you might leave me for your fish." The mare teased as she picked up her feet cantering slightly faster. The mare looked over toward him with a bit of a caring glance. She'd really grown fond of this male. If only her father and mother were here to see....

Kainda snorted thinking of her parents. What good were they? The pair were dead and though they raised her, they didn't do much. She mostly fended for herself. There was nothing else for her to rely on but herself. And yet...she could see herself relying on Dark Tide in her times of need...in anything she desired. Kainda wished she could know for sure that things would be ok.

Dark Tide
None rival your beauty Kainda he said truthfully And I won't leave unless you ask me to. Perhaps not even then if I have reason to stay. The fish are only pretty in a fishy way, you are beautiful to rival the sun Tide smailed at hr and chomped at the tail that was batting his face with every swipe. He purposely missed it, not wanting to hurt her. He sped up to enjoying the feeling of running as well as the view.

Kainda
She looked at him quite seriously this time. Her red eyes studied his as if searching for something. 'A reason to stay...? There was slight confusion upon her face before she let it disappear after a brief moment. Her nostrils twitched a little as they continued onward through the brush. As much as she tried to pay attention to their path, Kainda's mind was awry. "I guess I am quite beautiful." She tried to play along, but she was bothered.

"Tide...what do you mean a reason to stay? Would there ever be a reason for you to leave?" Was this emotion fear? Was she actually afraid of growing close to someone and then all of a sudden, being torn from him? Her ears flicked a little as she stopped to look at him now. "I mean I know we walk two paths, but...would you really have to leave one day?" Her eyes were filled with questions and worries before she finally shook her head and continued walking. She really didn't want to think about it even though she had already asked the questions.

Dark Tide
"If you would recall my sweet I will never leave you unless you demand it of me. As in you can't stand me any more or something like that. If you send me away in play or for no reason I will ignore your request and glue myself to you. He squished up beside her in demonstration, nary a part of his side was not touching her. Warmth radiated from his eyes as he worked to reasure her. It was the truth he would only leave if she truly hated his guts. He hoped to Azreth that that never happened. He was in love. Love? Was that what this was? WOW.

Kainda
His touch spurred her a little, her mouth almost opening in protest which would have caused her lily to fall. She made sure to settle herself right again careful not to crush the flower stem. She stared into his eyes as he kept close, her red ones growing soft and sure of his words. "I believe you, Dark Tide." Kainda whispered softly resting her face against his feeling the warmth radiate from his frame. She wanted to close her eyes and stay like this forever with the stallion that she loved...Wait. Love? What the eff? Love was a weakness! It was a feeling of absolute illusion! Yet...she felt it.

They strode along until they eventually led themselves into a small trail. There in front of them was a pool of water surrounded by cat tails and water lilies, much like the kind the two had in their mouths. She smiled looking over to Dark Tide. "Does this look familiar, Dark Tide?" Kainda asked slowing to a stop a few inches in front of the pool. It was so quiet and serene here. She never noticed it before when she came here looking for his green lily.

Dark Tide
"Yes it does look familiar, this is my pond. Curious that you found the lily here were I have never seen them before huh?" he asked. "Perhaps they only come up at a certain time. Care for a swim my dear? After we water our lilies anyway." He placed his beautiful lily into the water and looked at Kainda.

Kainda
The mare looked over to the stallion she claimed as her quizzically. It was strange to her that this was his pond and yet he didn't know everything about it. But everyone had secrets and much as they belonged to each other, she had more than her share. Flicking her tail, she rested her orange lily atop of his before striding into the water careful not to step on any fish or vegetation. Normally, she wouldn't have really given so much care into going in water, but this was...important to Dark Tide and well...he became equally as important to her.

Kainda looked over at him from her shoulder, a small smile forming on her lips. "Well come on then."

Dark Tide
Tide noticed her care and was grateful. He splashed in after her and he showed her his fish and the water plants. He enjoyed her company in his place. He didn't let many others in here as he didn't trust them with his fish and partly to annoy the all powerful lord Ion.

"A Gathering"
Nailiah
Start Date: December 17, 2011
End Date: N/A (In Progress)
Players - KazKitty & 0--Twizted_Soul--0
Azrein - Gwena & Nu'man

Dark & Nailiah
There was a faint pause of breath as the silver eyes of a very distinct mare gazed over the lands. It had been quite the time since she and her chosen had traveled to the King's castle. Sure they loved their small farmland a day or two of travel away, but it was nice to get back in touch with friends they had yet to see as well as meet others. And what better way than to travel to the King's Court? The mare flicked her ears as she trotted along, Athari resting on her back in an unusual manner. The amazon rested on the azrein's back in a peculiar manner - her feet was balancing her body, hands resting lightly on Nai's neck and shoulder. It was evident that Athari had gotten bored again for parts of Nailiah's mane had been braided. It was one of Athari's favorite things to do. 'You need to look pretty!' She would say to Nai whenever the mare would ask. 'That way, you can meet a handsome stallion, no?' Her best friend meant well, that was for sure. But sometimes the human could be a little..irritating.

For now, the two steadily made their way into the plains that were just outside the castle. Already she could see others around and about. Nailiah began to wonder if she would meet any old friends or possibly new ones today.

Nu'man & Calathea
(*sticks her warning sign on Nu'man* I may be a leetle slow, playing Red Dead Redemption too)

A new pair occupied one part of the plain. They watched the others with interest, one genuinely so and the other like a predator. A stallion and a woman that seemed newly bonded. She was thin, almost frail, with coiffed brown hair and green eyes; the Stallion white and bloodied, cut down to the bone in some places.

:This is boring, none here good enough to play with.: The Azrein heaved a sigh and dug at the ground with a cloven hoof.

"Must you play with them?"

:Of course!:

Gwena
Gwena was travelling across the plains alone, making her way to the castle, when she noticed another azrien with a rider also going in the same direction. She raised her head and squinted against the bright sun to try and see them better. Shaking the dust from herself, she fluffed out her wings and trotted off towards the pair to investigate.

Nu'man & Calathea
The Stallion perked up when he saw the winged mare, and a bonded pair. :Now this is interesting,: He glanced down at his Chosen before trotting out to meet them. :Hello, my ladies!:

Calathea sighed and watched him go. That Stallion was more trouble than he was worth sometimes.

Dark & Nailiah
The pair hadn't gotten very far in when Athari eyed the strange stallion. He was pale, frail, and quite the ill-omen as far as she was concerned. The stallion was looking at them it seemed which made Athari a little more on edge. His companion, the woman beside him looked equally as...wrong. On instinct, she placed her hand against the side of her mount with a careful cough. 'Be wary, my heart.' Athari whispered into the mare's mind. Nailiah seemed to catch on quickly for she too had felt uneasy as soon as their eyes fell upon them.

The mare flicked her head toward her rider and was about to comment when her eyes fell on a form coming toward them. Nailiah could tell it was feminine, but it was strange. She stopped trying to get a better look. Wonder who that is... Hello there! Nailiah called as Dark sat up a little straighter looking to see, her hand acting as a visor against the slightly bright sun. It was the afternoon after all. However, her eyes immediately shifted at the coming of the white stallion. His features became more clearer which made Athari's blood boil with an unnatural fever. He was bloodied and thin...even bones showing at some places. There were cuts and blood as if in constant flow. Everything in Athari shouted demon which Nailiah felt naturally. The white mare, however, stood her ground giving a nod toward him. "Ho, Stallion. To what do we owe this...greeting?" Her silver eyes slightly glowed with question as the mare watched him carefully. She was confused as to why his chosen didn't accompany him.

Nu'man
:To welcome you to the little gathering.: Bloody eyes glanced out over the plains, then back to her. :I am Nu'man, lovely. And that is my ... Chosen... Calathea yonder.: The word still felt strange to him. He'd never planned on Choosing, much less to a sickly woman.

Gwena
Gwena smiled and nodded as she approached the mare and her rider and glanced sideways at the strange stallion that had joined them. The white mare looked fairly friendly, but the stallion... he definitely looked the worse for wear.. and gave off a creepy vibe. But she wasn't one to judge on looks.. after all, look at herself! How many other azrien out there had beaks and feathers? None that she had met so far...

She bowed and said "Hello there! I'm Gwena."

Dark & Nailiah
Nailiah looked over to Gwena giving her a smile. "A pleasure. My name is Nailiah." She figured that the stallion would know her name now seeing as she said it loud enough for both of them to hear. Her ears flicked as she looked toward him again. "Nu'man? Does it mean something?" Silver eyes peered over to the human that was indeed Nu'man's chosen. Why was she so far off? Nailiah blinked a little back to focus as Athari introduced herself. "Hello there, all. I am Nailiah's chosen. My name is Athari the Dark One. Athari or Dark will do." She kept her eyes on Nu'man for a brief while before offering a greeting nod to Gwena. "My, you're a pretty birdy." The amazon gave a comforting grin. Being different was hard...harder on some than others.

Nailiah tilted her head toward Nu'man as if confused. "This gathering was planned?" The mare gave a bit of a snort, her obvious naive nature showing through. It was one of the things Athari loved and sometimes hated about Nailiah. She'd never change her though. There was no point.

Nu'man
Nu'man bobbed a greeting to the other mare. She was a pretty little thing, if odd, but Nailiah held his interest far more. :The pleasure is all mine, ladies. Cala would join us... but she has fallen sick again.: His Chosens racking coughs echoed through his body, making him flinch. Not again... :This gathering was not planned, or it would be far more eventful. And as for your question, it means 'blood'.:

Gwena
Gwena looked first at Nu'man's chosen off in the distance. She also looked weak and frail.. what had happened to the pair to bring them to such a state? She blushed slightly and ruffled her wings as Athari spoke to her. She smiled shyly and bobbed her head before turning her attention to Nailiah, who was speaking to Nu'man.

Dark & Nailiah
Nailiah gave a brief and gentle whciker. "My thoughts go to your chosen, Nu'man. I'm not sure of your relationship, but I know you must feel it as well. If Athari grew ill, I wouldn't want to stray from her side." The amazon gave a bit of a grin hearing her friend say that. She patted the mare on the neck scratching lightly as she gave a careful glance over to Nu'man. "I see. Well usually that's how unplanned meetings go. But you could always make it eventful." The human chimed in as she began braiding the mare's blood red hair again. It was also a way of easing her tension. "Blood? I am sure the name has some history behind it." Nailiah gave a nod as she looked over to Gwena. "Come now, don't be shy. Where do you hail from? Or do you travel?" Dark listened quietly as Nai tried to include the other mare in this conversation. That's how Nailiah always was it seemed. She studied Gwena for a few more moments wondering what sort of creature she was. In all honesty, she looked like a griffin without the proper front appendages. But she was pretty all the same. Athari was also trying to keep her mind off of Nu'man and his eyes. The way he gazed at her Nailiah was...unsettling.

Nu'man
He almost gritted his teeth. The whole bonding thing had not been in his plans. Calathea had jumbled them up when he'd found her outside her little cottage. He'd been looking for other Azrein to torment and instead...

Nu'man smirked. :It does have quite some history behind it... besides the obvious.:

Gwena
Gwena gazed thoughtfully at the two very different pairs of azrien and chosen and wondered what it would be like to have a companion. She sighed inwardly and hoped she would find one one of these days. She turned towards Nailiah as she addressed her and frowned slightly as she thought before she spoke. "Um.. I'm not really sure where I originally came from.. I mainly travel from place to place now.. just wandering." She shrugged and pawed at the earth with a hoof.

She glanced over at Nu'man again and wondered why his presence seemed to bother her so much. She didn't feel confident enough to speak to him directly quite just yet...

Dark & Nailiah
The mare looked him over with cautious eyes. "Maybe you will tell me one day.". IT was true, she had a fascination for the unknown and the strange. Nu'man was all that and more. However, she knew to be careful for Athari kept patting her neck or sending her gut feelings through their bonding. Nailiah wasn't going to endanger herself or her friend. Not by a long shot.

"Where have you been? The mountains? The rivers? The forests? I would say oceans, but we're on a floating island." Athari gave a chuckle as she turned herself more to face Gwena. The human was quite interested in her and how she came to happen here, but alas. One thing at a time it seemed. Athari noticed Gwena's apprehension and wondered if it had anything to do with the stallion. Of course it did, however, as she got the same gut feeling as Gwena did probably. Athari carefully reached out to the bird-azrein showing she meant no harm and gently stroked her neck and scratched behind her ear. "There's a pretty girl." Athari gave a warm smile feeling all the more better about their unnatural guest.

Gwena
Gwena looked at Athari and bobbed her head. "I have been to the mountains and followed the rivers to the forests.. which is where I spend most of my time. I have not yet been to the deserts, although I would like to see them. I saw that castle over there and thought I would see what sort of inhabitants it held." She tossed her head towards the castle to indicate it and smiled.

She was surprised when Athari reached out towards her and flicked her tail nervously, but did not sense any harmful intentions. She leaned into her hand as she scratched behind her ears and half closed her eyes in pleasure. She could still see Nailiah talking to the big stallion and wondered what her fascination with him was.. she was starting to wish he would take his chosen and leave.

Nu'man & Calathea
:You need only ask, my love, and I will tell.: Nu'man chuckled. He fidgeted for a moment when his Chosen leaned against him, panting softly. :I would have come and gotten you, fool woman.:

Cala held onto his mane, dipping a little as she coughed again. "You were... you were busy talking and I needed to walk." Up close she didn't look quite as frail. Frequent illness had made her unsteady but her eyes were kind. "Greetings, Nailiah, Gwena, Dark."

Dark & Nailiah
His endearing terms were a little confusing, but she wondered if it was simply all part of him. Each azrein was different, and it appeared this one was to be suave in a dangerous way. Her ears flicked back as she got a chance to halfway listen to Athari and Gwena. It was good that her chosen was calming the other down. She didn't want the other to feel so trapped. However, there was still that uneasiness about Gwena, and Nailiah figured it was coming from the stallion - who was currently speaking to his chosen.

Nailiah was surprised that Calathea was so gentle. She expected her to be a harsh woman with a sense of bitterness. It may have been due to the fact that she looked quite sick all the time. "Hello to you, Calathea. I wish you would have let him get you, though I understand you wish to make yourself better." The mare nodded before turning back to Nu'man. "Perhaps another time on that story.." Athari cut in with a snort. "Yes. Perhaps." It was moreso a warning to Nailiah than anything else. However, the female patted the mare on the back showing only concern. As the sickly woman came near, Athari felt a pang of pity for her being stuck with such a demon of an azrein. But such was bonding and it was permanent. "Hello. I would tell you I hope you fair well, but in actuality, I hope you will fair better than your current state." Athari sensed how sick she was. It wasn't healthy for her to be out and about, but she sensed a strength in this woman. A little risky, but commendable.

Gwena
Gwena was a little startled by the appearance of Nu'man's chosen. She bowed her head towards the sickly woman. "Hello there." She gave her a friendly smile and looked Cala over. She didn't appear as sickly as she had looked from a distance, although she was definitely not well. She wondered at the friendliness that emanated from her eyes and was curious as to how she had ended up bonded to Nu'man.

She glanced at Athari's sharp tone and thought that maybe she had gotten that weird vibe from the stallion as well. She seemed protective of her Chosen, which was a good thing, especially with such uncertain circumstances.

Nu'man & Calathea
The woman smiled at Arathi. "Thank you, though I fear that it may be for naught." She choked down a cough, covering it with a laugh. "I've been sick for a long, long time." Cala patted Nu'man on the neck, scratching under his mane. His blood and open wounds didn't seem to bother her. They were as much a part of the Stallion as she was now.

:Just let me know when, and I will tell you. Maybe we will talk a private walk when you decide.: He winked at the mare, promising more than a tale and a walk. She was a beautiful one, and he adored the color of her mane and tail. Like freshly spilled blood.

Dark & Nailiah
Nailiah turned over to Gwena and gave an apologetic smile. Athari was becoming a little hostile, but it was her natural nature to do so just as it was Nailiah's nature to be friendly and open. Her tail flicked as she turned back toward Nu'man. "Don't worry. I will." His voice was soothing, and he was showing interest. It was rare for a stallion to show such interest...Nailiah was beginning to wonder if she could meet up with him later...just perhaps to know his story... 'It better be never. Nailiah heard the harsh words of Athari in her mind, but took no heed of the hostility. However, the mare gave a snort as if to reply before turning toward Gwena. "So please, tell us of your travels. I'd love to hear about them."

Athari slightly listening to Nai's conversation with Nu'man, but she kept her attentions focused on Calathea for the most part. "Well, you can always hope, neh?" She grinned scratching Nai on her forehead before beginning to braid parts of her mane again. If Athari kept up, Nailiah would have nothing but braids. The amazon watched with curiosity at Calathea's relationship with Nu'man. She seemed to be totally devoted to her azrein unlike the other way around. But that was the way it was. And it seemed as though the demon gave her peace somewhat. How could she blame that? Everyone deserved someone...even someone seemingly as dark as the stallion in front of her. Athari made sure to keep her eyes on her mare. If one were to seek her, they would most definitely have to get through Athari first. "Tell me, Cala," The woman began with gentle tones. "What sort of illness do you think you have? Is it not treatable?"

Gwena
Gwena started a bit as she realized Nailiah was speaking to her again. She had been focusing on Cala and Nu'man and hadn't been paying attention. She flicked her ears forward at the question and smiled shyly. "What exactly would you like to know?" She shuffled her feet and looked down at them for a second and said," I have to admit, the main reason I travel so much is because I have yet to find a place to call home... I have been unable to find any others like me, and most azrien seem to think I am inflicted with some sort of disease, or think I am.. a freak.." She looked back up and gave Nailiah a sad, watery smile. "I do thank you and your Chosen for not fleeing at the sight of me..." Raising her head a little higher, she fluffed her wings and said, "But I have seen a lot of different places and had a few adventures, which I would not have done if I hadn't been shunned.. so ... " She chuckled and glanced over at the others, where it appeared that the humans were in a deep conversation.
