 Ophelia's stomach growled intensely. It was barely into the afternoon and it seemed like she had -just- eaten lunch. And she was hungry again already? Sighing, she left her motel and made her way to a bakery or cafe of sorts. She was still in the Academy area, but tomorrow would be her last day here before returning to Moonfall. Strolling along, she peered into each eatery she passed by. Oh how she would miss these places. Spotting a small bakery, she trotted inside, her heels clopping along. Her music blaring in her headphones, she couldn't hear the cashier greet her as she entered, but pulled them down as she pressed her hands against the glass display to choose her afternoon snack. "Should I have a roll? A cinna-bun? Oh...or maybe a donut..Or sweet bread?" she absent-mindedly asked herself, unaware that someone could overhear her rambling.

 Vida had just finished her first few morning classes and had headed out for lunch by herself, as usual. She was still settling in the academy and had spent most of her days decorating her room than actually trying to make friends, which she knows she should have done first.
Now that she had free time she decided that it would be a good idea to take a stroll outside the academy in search for food. Not that the food there was bad but she just wanted to get out of campus for a bit. With her sketchbook and her bag at hand, Vida spotted a nearby bakery, beaming when the smell of pastries wafted in the air.
Not even giving it a second thought, her legs had automatically brought her to the store and it immediately felt like pastry heaven to Vida. She was soon overwhelmed by all the choices, wanting to just buy them all but that wouldn't be fair to the others... right? What to choose... What to choose... Should I get the cinnamon roll? Or maybe a cupcake? Oh look pie! Vida groaned lightly as she mentally argued with herself, slightly troubled by her tiny dilemma. She then overheard another person who seemed to be having the same problem as her and relaxes a bit now that she knows she's not the only one.
Vida was surprised to see a reaper in the midst of the tiny bakery. She always had this visions of reapers being really intimidating and scary but this one seemed to be quite opposite except for the fact that she had a very sharp looking scythe with her. Or was it solely because she was off-duty that she was this way? Vida shuddered at the thought but was left curious. "Can't seem to choose either? I know I can't..." she said softly, not sure if it was alright to interrupt her during her decision making. Normally she wouldn't waste her time trying to strike up a conversation but thought it was amusing that she had met someone like her, at least when it came to sweets.

"Hm?" uttered Ophelia, her concentration on sweets broken by a voice not her own. Looking up, she saw a girl in the Makai uniform with striking red hair. She wanted to tug on her ponytail...But wait, what did she say?
"Oh yeah hehehe, It's because they all look so good!" she answered, pressing her face against the glass. "I want them all~" she added, frowning at the fact that she didn't have that much money. Not to mention she'd get a stomach ache AND deny the red-headed girl her snack.
Pondering to herself, she spotted two tarts off to the side. "Let's get these!" she suggested. One had grapes, and the other had strawberries. The prior reminding herself of her eyes and the latter reminding her of the girl's hair. It made total sense to Ophelia.

Vida watched the reapers peculiar reaction. Quite an interesting character... she thought as she watched her eye all the sweets. Trying to remain composed, she nodded, taking account of her suggestion, though inside on the other hand: Yes! Oh yes! I want that. No.. I just want all of them! They all look so good! I should buy them all! Her face showing no expression whatsoever, despite her feelings of excitement inside.
Vida blinked, watching the other girl who showed so much enthusiasm. "Well, we could get a few of them if you want?" she offered, only because she had more than enough money. And it would be nice to have lunch with someone every once in a while. Besides, even if they didn't finish, it could make for a good snack later, maybe. But Vida always had a lot of room for sweets. Her brother always mocked her for having such a sweet tooth.
Bending down a bit to her level to look at the two tarts, she beamed when she saw the bright red juicy looking strawberry, delicately topping the tarts. "Yes, we definitely have to get those."

"Cashier-Man!" she beckoned over the glass display, waving at the man and pointing to the tarts. "We want these two." she stated, grinning with excitement. She trotted over to the counter as the man took them out and placed them on little paper plates for them. She quickly passed over the money for them, not giving Vida the chance to pay. This would be her treat to the girl.
Picking up the plates, she turned around and left the shop, where a few quaint tables, nicely shaded by large umbrellas, sat outside. "Shall we eat them here?" she asked, smiling enthusiastically. She absolutely couldn't wait to eat them, and anticipated her stomach to agree any second now.
