It's obvious, the speed of darkness is the same as the speed of light. Because when you turn off the light, there isn't a pause before darkness takes up the room.

Darkness is simply the absence of light, so it has no speed. It is the light's speed that we measure.

I think it's the negative of the speed of light. Because, when light turns on, the darkness fades as fast as the light goes. But, when you turn off the light, the darkness moves in as fast as the light goes off..

There's such thing as light?

The darkness is in the corner, and when you turn the light off, it sneaks in, quieter than a lil' kitty. I like dark. It likes to be poked. ^_^

I guess it would be the same as the speed of light.

Either that, or it's hiding in the closet. That way it gets a head start. whee

When something is dark, there is no light, so for our eyes to detect that the light has disappeared, wouldn't that take as long as the speed of light?

It's slower than the speed of thought, that's a definite.

I think it would be the exact same speed. When you turn the lights out, there isn't a pause before everything is in darkness.

The dark goes and, um... hides in my bathtub. Because it likes porcelain.

And the answer is 42, duh! (We apologize for the inconvenience.)
