What Chinese books, ancient or modern, have you read? Which are your favourites? Post & discuss?

I've read.. lots.. ok, not that many, but a few~ picture book versions of the 四大古典 books and other historical stuff adapted for kids (I was little, ok? razz ), and am reading 红楼梦 in the full version... I've read a couple of 金庸's novels (martial arty ones) and Ilovethemsomuch heart

Also some really random more modern stuff~

Et toi?

by aisain people? I've read falling leaves, a chinese cinderella, bejing doll, and woman warrior. woman warrior was a little confusing but i enjoyed anyway. And every watch out for a new manga named rush by ASK, and mangas title, merge, pirate princess and blood donors, in the next couple of years by Ayame Kurayami. biggrin

I haven't read much Chinese literature other than set textbooks but this is all going to change when Uni starts. I'm taking a Diploma of Chinese which will force me to read some of the best modern Chinese works and examine them.

I had a collection of Detectice Conan manga, in Chinese, but it's all gone now, because, well, I can't read it. xD

It was like a memento, plus it was volume 38 which is soooo far ahead of what's been translated so far (9 volumes or something).
And there was Tony Chopper and Nico Robin doing stuff! They haven't even been introduced yet in the translated stuff so it was cool to get a sneak peek. whee
