Jude: At first he might seem like a bit of a prude. He does not give out hugs nor does he often laugh with people when he first meets them. Jude seems very much cut off from his emotions and very unwilling to share what is going on in his heart and mind. It isn't impossible to make him smile it is just very, very hard. Jude isn't against happiness or feeling happy as a whole but honestly he'd rather feel a general emotion of contentment. He has an odd quirk where the happier he gets the more nauseous he becomes if his happiness reaches a level of giddy or overwhelming joy he throws up. It is a bit at odds with some of his motivations since he loves getting praise - if someone higher up praises him it triggers the emotion of happiness and if they keep praising him...Someone's shoes are bound to get ruined. Jude is an introvert preferring to think things through carefully but he isn't afraid to take charge of the situation and do what is called of him. For the most part he doesn't really tell others what is on his mind unless he knows them very well or if there is a critical reason that they MUST know the inner workings of his mind at the time. He's content to sit amongst others and observe them and even interact but he's also just as content to just be alone and reading a book or something else of a similar nature. His occasional tendency to feel superior to others may cause some others to dislike him or even get him in trouble with someone higher up.
Yom: Bright, vibrant, friendly and affectionate to the point of almost being motherly, Yom is pretty much Jude's opposite in many respects. She enjoys interaction and a lot of conversation. It is debatable as to whether or not she is 'sane' considering some days she wishes that she was a whip instead of an hourglass, not that she hates being an hourglass for it is a very shapely weapon indeed but she misses the ability to hug others though it can be certain that even in her old form she got a bit carried away with her hugs and ultimately killed some people - children especially. Yom needed someone of a 'strong' mentality to balance out her otherwise more unstable traits. Jude will often remind Yom that children are NOT the other white meat.
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?
The surface reason was so he could get the ability to protect his girlfriend from her mother and the mother's girlfriend. The true underlying purpose of his wish to join being that he wanted to stop having to run to be able to stand and fight against what is seen and unseen. Jude was looking for something more and it might have found him instead. Link to solo: No Fears and no regrets...
Weapon Ability:
Venomous Sting: When charged the sharp protrusions at the top and bottom of the hourglass elongate and become a bit sharper as well with small needle point sized openings at the tips. Jude can grasp the middle of the hourglass to add strength to his stab and when a stab connects the tips release small poisonous sand-like grains into the wound. It is uncertain if the grains of 'sand' ever run out. The affects of the poison - at the start - would be: dizziness, and slight slow down of movement. The poison at the start will only take a few moments (usually somewhere around 2 - 3 minutes) to run its course.
