How do you recognize other legends and when you've hit legend status?

On Gaia?
I guess we have 2.0's Hall of Fame, but it's kind of been dead for a while.

Legend status: 1) Be a consistant and generally agreed upon main eventer for 3 consecutive years. 2) Be retired. Example: Ryuu Sakamoto. Cuz come on. Best around.

No doubts that Ryuu is one of the best we ever had the grace to see.

I'm not talking hall of fame and how would new people that come in, know about his hall of fame?
I mean, I would view Cartwright and Chrono/Yuke as a legend from his extensive profile of accomplishments, achievements, and titles. Then in another view of things, I would have to see The Maverick Jet as a legend simply because other legends are calling him legend, yet I've never seen his profile.
Also, recently Harli was regarded as a legend. Serious. When did that happen? What made him legend? And.. How do you know when he has gotten to that point of legend status?
by the way.. Nuke, are you going to put up the opener?

Nuke, are you going to put up the opener?Well I mean come on, who else could really sell getting shanked by wooden spoon very well and made it look like he was dying xd , but seriously Fox, I've been around for a long time and I've had some great matches here and not only that but I've been very active the whole time that I've been roleplaying even though there were times where I've been away or my computer's crashed. Besides that there are a few things that I'm still improving myself on like my promos for an example, I may not be the best but I've tried to be the best that I can and I will continue to do my best. Now that's from a personal point of view, although the way you said sounded more like a insult.

-Nuclear Fusion- No doubts that Ryuu is one of the best we ever had the grace to see. Ryuu was in consistent main events for three years? That time flew by, I wouldn't doubt it. Harli knows how he has the rep he has! Wooden spoons and bricks! xd

I don't see Harli as a legend, sorry broski. Yes you've accomplished a lot and been a world champion in just about every guild that matters, but you don't really have much of a personality when it comes to matches. I call it like I see it really.
I don't count 2.0's Hall of Fame either really, because people get inducted too soon at least from what I saw. I mean Freak was inducted after being around for what a year?
Ryuu will always be a legend, hell he's STILL being talked about and he's been gone for two years.
Maverick? I've seen him once or twice but for all the while I've been around I haven't seen a match of his, aside from FG's recent rumble and I didn't see anything impressive.
Personally I recognize people as legends from what they've done inside and outside rp. Right now I only recognize like maybe 5 legends that are still currently rping.

Give it maybe another 2-3 years and we'd really be able to see who the Legends are, I say. It's easy to tell who is a future Legend, but it's just working out when they cross that threshold.

hmm, harde to tell when someone really reaches legendary status. the label was given to me by maverick first, and then others started saying the same thing. and when you think about it, you can't be a legend based solely on the amount of titles you've held. i've only been a world champ 14 times as jarel, and it was considerably less than that when people started calling me one. i've got significantly less title accomplishments than people like cart, who started years after me, or chrono, who's about the same time as me, maybe a bit longer (dates get fuzzy in my head).
i would say you have hit legendary status when your peers will regard you as such in large numbers.

Naw but really, I inducted him because in his time here he's been one of the most consistant, easy to work with, active people and he deserved to be recognized as such.
