Personality: Sweet, gentle and sunny, Rose's nature helps with her appearance to mask her age - she is warm and enthusiastic like a teenager, bouncy and positive, though a good dose of shyness and unwillingness to put herself forward unduly help to make her a wallflower. Timid and clingy, she hides among her friends like a little bunny rabbit, also helping with the supposition that she is possibly not very mature. In reality, Rose is quite a tired woman in her late twenties who has lived an incredibly hard life of which she is ashamed of; she eschews pain and walks away from her problems, leading to volcanic emotional bottling. She is fragile both physically and emotionally; her mental state is like Barbie shoes, easily broken.
History: Like her personality, Rose's past is deceptive. She generally gives only vaguenesses and half-truths - the eldest daughter born in a wealthy family with a sister much younger than she, alone save for a few cousins, educated at appropriate colleges and then came to live in the city, all fine for her bubbly!Rose persona - but other little hints slip out; it seems she was involved in a war which she lost, selling out to the enemy rather than face execution. What part she took in the war was unknown.
She has also had a child in the past, which is only evident if you are privy to the stretchmarks on her stomach. (This may explain her excessive adoration for small things and babies.) When faced with her history, Rose will either cheerfully tell the half-truths, or - under interrogation - clam up. Unable and more than a little unwilling to return back to her place of exile, she spent her time in the madhouse known as Emperial's
place of residence; considering that she over-mothers both everything Em brings home, everybody who lives in Em's house, and her Grimorum, it's no surprise that she was given a Feien bloom. (Maybe to distract her.)
After going on a long Feien quest and coming back to find the shop in little tiny bits of smithereens, Djerod took her in; this arrangement is comfortable all around, as both individuals get on well and Rose is a pathetic kitten who needs a place she can be looked after. After her smothering of Cascati, this care was also deemed so satisfactory that she was offered Burgundia, which she leapt at like a bunny on speed.
Ever since Cascati was killed by Silva for attempting to murder four juvenile feien, Rose went into a deeply horrifying fugue mode. She has only started to struggle out of this with the appearance of Marne, who is not good with fugue modes.
