i would keep out of their way and just pray for them to open their hearts to god and realize all he has done for them. i never understood how people can hate god so much, he does what he does for a reason and he gave us life. i think its kind of greedy to expect him to constantly save our butts

Yeah, and blame him for all that's wrong in the world. And I'm just like 1. Free will. 2. Satan.

But then they're like, "GOD CREATED EVERYTHING SO HE CREATED EVEL BLAH BLAH BLAH. TROLL."

I completely agree with Shanna, he not only gave us life, but this wonderful world that we live in and an unimaginable number of other things. One of which, is Free will, so that we may choice to love him and not follow his commands blindly because their is no other option.

The things she lists, molestation, rape and murder, are inventions humans with or without help from the serpent. Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge, Cain murdered Able, if God stopped ether of these events, then he would be destroying the one gift he gave us from the beginning, Free will.

You can't say do as you want and hold the hand of your child as he/she tries to explore the world around them. All you can do is instruct them in what is right and what is wrong, and hope that those lessons stick with them.

Yes, he invented pain as a way for us to remember. Sadly, for some it isn't until the hour of pain, of loss, of sorrow, that they seek him. We humans only seek his help when we can't do something ourselves and then you have people like her, who view he should have stepped in earlier.

Sorry for my rant...

well he did create evil, but he also gave us the free will to choose wether or not to follow that evil. he gave us the free will to hate him if we desire, i think we should be thankful for that

I honestly would just let the person be. I was thinking about something similar to this situation here:

Imagine that you work at a hotel. You then encounter a person that absolutely hates hotels and hotel workers because this person believes that hotels primary purpose is to kill babies and hotel workers keep the systematic baby slaughter going. Being a hotel worker, you know this has nothing to do with your job or what the hotel industry does. If this person isn't hindering you from doing your job, just laugh this person's absurdity away and go about your business.

The OP of that youtube video says he won't stand by God, on by those he loves.

Hm, I wonder who it was that gave him the ability to love, and how those people he wants to stand by came into existence?

God willing, his eyes and heart will open and he will see Truth and Life. Pray for God's children, and leave the ones who aren't.

I know it's a little late, but this is my take:

God gave us free will so that we can truly love him and each other. For if we hadn't any free will, how could we truly love? If it weren't for free will, we would be blind followers and I don't think that's what God wants. With free will comes the ability to make choices: good and bad. God frowns upon bad choices, but he lets us make our own decisions. Not only that, but the trials of life can be a true blessing along our faith journey. It's difficult to explain, but by trusting in God to get you through difficult times your faith in Him grows.

I'm not saying walk up to people and say this, but if you're confronted by someone like the person in the video you linked, keep these points in mind.

Hope this helped smile

If it helps, I think you can present a person who ignorantly says "God created evil" with this: I Timothy 4:4 - For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving

There are other arguments that you could use such as God's abhorrence for sin and inability to create evil. Of course it would be wise to add onto it.

Well obviously the top thing to do is pray. Prayer is our best weapon. And pray in the Spirit if you can ( read Romans 8:26 and Ephesians 6:18 ).

I would not say steer clear from them unless they always persecuted you and were just rude, and things of the sort. But if the person is willing to build a relationship, then do so. And show this person the love of God along with setting a Christ-like example. When the atmosphere is mellow and the opportunity is open, spread the gospel. Do not shove it all in his face, though. Try to explain God's love and that He is not the creator of evil things. Evil is because of Satan who will receive his punishment for what he has done in the end. Sin is in the world because Adam and Eve sinned, and everyone was cursed because of that. But Satan was involved in the problem as well.

Again, if they are just rude, bashing, persecutory, etc., then leave them be and pray, hoping that God will open their eyes and bring them to Salvation.

WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH! GOD DID NOT CREATE EVIL AT ALL! Everything God created is good (I Timothy 4:4). The issue is distortion.

Example: God made Lucifer - a beautiful angel. Lucifer in his foolishness turned on God, was sent to Hell, and became Satan. God created the beautiful creation, the beautiful creation decided to turn itself into something evil.

The God who abhors sin could not and would not create evil. That would contradict Him in so many ways, making Him imperfect and not God. If you think God created evil, show me a verse that proves so. I am 100% sure that it would have to misinterpreted. Everything God created is good, but people have distorted it and so have been punished.

Haha, I wouldn't call it a rant. I've seen longer.

Well said....up to your last part.

God did not invent pain. No, not at all. Everything God created is good. Pain is a result of Satan, Adam, and Eve. Keep in mind however, that there is a difference between pain and just punishment. I did not know to which you were referring to. So I replied as I did. If you meant punishment, please excuse my ignorance.
