As vampire types, I'm sure we all revel in the opportunity to slay our foes! twisted
So, what's your weapon of choice? Do you prefer to get up close and personal, or keep the enemy as far away as possible? Do you like to keep things quick and clean, or make a lot of splatter?
Personally, I don't generally like to go with anything too modern. I prefer swords and bows and arrows and things like that - hence my gaming preferences (fantasy RPGs) .
I have several bows at home ranging from my 20lb LARP bow to a 52lb yew long bow my Dad made for me - that I can hardly pull! whee I need to put on some muscle... Dad has a nice 2 handed broadsword too, which I've been eyeing up. It's really well balanced, and has a proper tempered steel blade. cool None of this stainless steel bollocks!
We might be making some straw dummies this summer, which will be slightly more interesting to stab/shoot than the sack of sawdust I have at the moment. surprised

Well, as far as roleplays on the internet are concerned, my elves wield longbows and spears, my vampires wield anything they get their hands on, including scythes, dead bodies, and other unorthordox attack methods, and my humans tend to put their trust in swords and big guns. Oh, and my Star Wars characters aren't overtly obsessed over lightsabers. I have a Sith Acolyte who is actually known as Blaster Amy, because she prefers blasters to lightsabers.
As far as live roleplays are concerned, I have a collection of latex and boffer swords. Never learned to shoot a bow properly. Lost most of my boffer fights too - I don't often live roleplay a fighter.
As far as real life (not roleplaying) is concerned, well, once in ShadowAYs house I thought a burglar was outside, so I took one of his katanas and went to investigate. It was actually the katana that is stuck in its sheath, so if someone had attacked me, I'd have hit them on the head with a sheathed katana.
I have wielded oranges with deadly force. I have thrown a stone at my brother (didn't hit him, wasn't trying to hit him, broke the greenhouse instead). I have fought off various unpleasant people in various unpleasant circumstances, and I used to keep three Swiss army knives in my purse, but I haven't been able to find them lately.
But as far as me and real, killing weapons are concerned - I wouldn't know how to shoot a revolver, and I would be useless with a sword of any kind.
Most of the time, the moment finds its own weapon and my home is my castle. This room is full of things I could kill someone with. And the kitchen is even better equipped.

Come join my LARP guild!But yeah, I mainly learned to use a bow because I fail at close quarters fighting - when people start hitting me I have a bad habit of shutting my eyes and flailing about with my sword... Which doesn't really get me anywhere... ninja

i can vary between weapons
swords: i like to be light on my feet so single handed twin blades for me
bows: havent done much practice on it but am alway willing to have it (its also like one of my to faves i want to become a pro in)
modern guns: oh! jolly, shut gun, sniper or just anything that can make the enemy go spat!
oldie gun: its a hard one but musket and the old school shotgun
other: CQC

As far as RP characters go: anything they can get their hands on.
I have a knack for rping mechanics/pyromaniacs....
As RL goes: I can aim with a fake gun, the one with fake bullets for kids (for kids here anyway...) and have almost sent people to the hospital with a giant umbrella.
